UJU KINGSLEY BROKERS PEACE BETWEEN MEMBERS OF ISOPADEC STAFF AND IMO GOVERNMENT

The member Representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency, Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima, scored another mile stone in peace making on Monday as he led a delegation of stake holders from Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta to mediate between detained members of ISOPADEC Staff and the State governor.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation at the governor's office, Hon. Uju Kingsley who is synonymous with peace apologised on behalf of the protesting staff, the lawmaker condemned their action, pleaded with the governor for their release with an assurance that such an ugly trend will never occur again.

Also speaking, Hon. Heclus Okoro, Hon. Dr. Kanma Nwauwa, Hon. Henry Igbomezie, Hon. Emeka Benjamin and Hon. Andrew Nwokotubo all apologised on behalf of Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta for the misconduct of members of ISOPADEC staff and the embarrassment their action might have caused the governor and the State at large.

The governor, Hope Uzodinma, moved by the visit and apololgy from the stake holders commended them for coming and assured them he will see what he can do for the release of detained Staff ISOPADEC.
The governor also stated he can't be a governor and watch the oil region being controlled by thugs, nothing can be achieved by violence.
Gov. Hope Uzodinma said he will do everything possible to see that he brings an end to the massive fraud, mismanagement and corruption going on in the Commission.
The governor reassured the delegation he is a law maker and know what ISOPADEC is, he has not touched the Commission's money which is about #2 billion. His interest is the development of the oil producing region not few people enjoying the wealth of the 2 local governments.

Hon Uju Kingsley Chima met with Leaders, Stakeholders, Elected Chairmen, and Councillors of Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Local Government, today in his Country Home Umuorji Egbema in Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area of IMO State.

The Lawmaker in his opening address, welcomed the people and thanked them for finding out time to attend the meeting despite their tight schedules.

In his speech, Hon Kingsley Uju Chima informed his Constituents his commitments in making sure that all Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta, Oru West Federal Constituency projects through federal government and NDDC are completed and some abandoned projects will be completed in no distance time as the contractors have been mandated to return to the site.

According to Omeudo " My Priority, aims and objectives is to ensure that all Projects that is due for my Constituentcy be implemented and Completed. I can assure you that before the end of September, The Construction of the bridge linking Etekwuru Home -Etekwuru plantation to other communities in Egbema and Over 25 Projects in Oguta and Oru West LGA's will Commence Soonest" The lawmaker also informed the people about 200 Computer Training, Skill acquisition which were selected from various local governments in his Constituentcy starts by September.

The meeting which attracted a lot of political heavy weights from the three LGAs such as , Ohaji-Egbema House of Assembly Member Hon Heclus Okoro ,the Former Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon Emeka Benjamin, Chief F I Ogbuka, Chief Israel Anele, Hon Amadi Ebenezer (Chairman Ohaji-Egbema LGA), Hon Mgborokwe( Chairman Oguta LGA) etc.

South East members of the National Assembly from the governing party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday evening met at Abuja.

The meeting which was held at the residence of the Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu had all the members of the South East APC in the Senate and House of Representatives in attendance.

The members in no order of hierarchy were: Former Governor of Imo state and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial zone, Owelle Rochas Okorocha; Chief Whip of the Senate and Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu; Deputy Majority Whip of the House of Representatives and member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon Nkeiruka Onyejiocha; Spokesman of the House of Representatives and member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Hon. Benjamin Kalu.

Others were: Member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah; Member representing Okigwe South, Hon.Chike John Okafor; Member representing Ohaji/Egbema,Oguta,Oru West Constituency, Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima; Member representing Ideato North/Ideato South, Hon. Paschal Obi and Member representing Nwangele/Njaba/Nkwere Constituency, Hon.Ozuruigbo Ugonna.

It was gathered that the meeting was in connection with the concerns of the members on the unity and progress of the party in the South East.

The meeting lasted for two hours and was adjourned to a new date to be communicated later to the concerned caucus members.

Today, the Representatives of the Honorable member Representing Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta, and Oru West Federal Constituency Hon Kingsley Chima Uju visited Mgbidi in Oru West Local Govt to extend the good will of Omeudo to the people.

The team led by Dr. Joseph Ohanedu SLA and Hon Angus Emmanuel( PA) thanked the people for their unalloyed support for Hon Uju Kingsley Chima the Omeudo as rightly called, they extended his greetings and Gratitudes, as they informed the Constituents that Hon Uju Kingsley Chima holds Oru west at heart specially.

The team assured the people that Hon Uju Kingsley Chima thinks of them and soon everything will be put in place

The SLA informed the people that Omeudo has directed those that applied for Npower should submit their print out to the constituency office onward.

The coordinators of the 23 autonomous communities present were happy for the call, as they assured Omeudo of their Love and Support.

The leader of the coordinators who spoke on behalf of his colleagues says that Omeudo's mandate has been concluded in heaven under the protection of God. He continued that the people have suffered and cried in the past due to negligence, they pleaded with Omeudo to put them in his budget by empowering the youths and ensure that their people are remembered in Federal jobs and Contracts.
