@Firstymum let me try to answer your question to LadyG, you qualify for dropbox if your Visa application resulted in an Issue, and if you are applying for the same category as your previous issued Visa. |
My opinion would always stand, giving a child (infant or toddler) drugs is not my fancy and would not be my first line of action. People ! be careful to make informed decisions when it comes to medicating ... i loved the Zaynie rant, no one gets it all 100% all the time esp when its a rant, so to the pain comment make una no take am to heart. Zaynie i am sending you a PM just hit the accept/ reply button when you see my mail. |
Udoka please read my post very well before you start on about wrongs and right. i never said there was anything wrong in giving multivitamins all i said was i personally avoid..... so its my preference. And i have very good reasons for my preference...My own experience as a child. You should also speak with a qualified Paed and sound out their opinion before administering any form of drugs to your little child. Thank you |
I personally avoid giving drugs as much as possible. I wouldn't encourage multivitamins for babies below 12 months old just me being over critical, I rather experiment with foods, fresh fruits, all veggies both locally grown foreign ones, youghurt, milk ,custard, oats, soysnacks and powder, baby cereals, half boiled eggs, potatoes, soup, semo, amala, loads of fish, chicken and formula plus formular and fruit mixes . That way I'm sure d babys nutritional requirements are met. I try to be very deliberate with feeding and nutrition. In summary I would say Experiment carefully, time, assess and follow your babys lead. |
Hi Mamas, just thought to share my experience with pesky embarrassing, disturbing persistent rashes n wart looking reactions on baby's skin, I took an all round approach to fight the occurrence. ( My operation Lafia dole). When home during the day I bath my LO like 3 to 4 times daily, stay with diapers only and in the evenings when the temperature reduces I wear a light body suit and after 9pm I add on a full PJ. I also have had to stop using Ariel detergent completely for babys laundry. I discovered it was fuelling the fire. If you can afford it you can buy Dreft detergent otherwise buy some milder detergent like sunlight, give clothes a good rinse after wash ,I mean several times . If you have a washer please wash clothes at 60degrees celcius, or be sure to use baby care setting. Lastly rising raven powder is also a good one but be careful to not have your baby inhale too much of it to avoid another reaction. Have a beautiful weekend all.Godbless our hussles. |
Brown skin your baby is 2 months old and? why in God's sweet name are you giving Agbo? Please biko ejor stop giving your baby whose digestive system isn't developed such stuff, I also think the Metholatum is harsh, if you drink enough fluids and breast feed and /or prepare d formula as recommended your little one should be fine. FYI even as adults not everyone of us gets to poo everyday. Please relax your baby isn't sick and doesn't need any forms of drugs to b stuffed in his system just now. |
EvaMD how far gone are you, please if you can try out the UK visa once more. You may just get it. Processing doesn't take as long as it used to from what I VC heard lately. Otherwise just chill n wait to have your lil one at the most convenient place for you. |
Mr Bello please don't wait o, please read up and backwards you may be able to take in as much info as is available on the subject matter here. All the best |
Heavy G, I had a big navel, so did my baby , I was told the hernia story at the hospital, and was informed that they may have to do a corrective procedure on my baby's navel , I simply declined and explained that it runs in the family and it would eventually shrink to normal, several months down the line I have not regretted that decision nor the way I looked the nurse straight in the face to feed her my rant. There's no indication right now that my little one had a huge navel.moral of the story is just chill out! |
Hi everyone, I don't know why I just got to know about this thread only recently, great job, great info and selfless sharing. To all mamas here kudos to you. Have a great week all. |
Mamacajah and Cfchick i dey see you two peeping in o. Longtime no read how una dey? |
Deeuzor, congratulations on your smooth entry into the US. I would advice you get to work immediately to try and get more clarity on the cost of delivery in the particular county you would be staying at. You may just get shockingly affordable rates. Google hospitals using the county name and post codes, review Morden health care magazine publications, check health grades for names and hospital reviews, use Zocdoc.com to checkout ObGyns, call hospitals directly too. Another factor to consider when streaming through options are the owner/ ownership of hospitals generally Public hospitals and Mission owned ( Catholic,Anglican,Methodist and the likes) are cheaper than Privately owned hospitals. Don't be overwhelmed by all I've written here just open your mind , it will all end in praises to God. My 2 cents dear. Enjoy your stay! |
EvaMD I'm curious as to why you want to birth in the US? If your reasons are just the healthcare you would receive then no problems, but if you have your eyes on the blue passport, I suggest you just let it go, your child by birth would be a British citizen regardless of place of birth, (cos of paternity). And with the trend these days at the US embassy, you may be asked why not birth in the UK where you have family ties n all. And don't be carried away by the trends I would take the red passport over the blue anyway...... Just my thoughts all the best in your quest dearie. Be safe. |
Hi Blaize777, how are you today? How's our Precious little one doing? I believe all will be well, The good lord will show you his light and cause men and all systems to favour you. Take care of yourself n kip strong sis. Gods got your back. |
Sister I dey. If you like know about renewal of visa for now i never reapply, I am giving them time to enjoy the rush now, after the hectic summer period just before Christmas rush kicks in may try to move in again. In the mean time I've got other options to try out..... I hope you are good. |
From the little I have come to know about Visa issuance and/ or refusals; Perception, trends, body language and documentary evidence are a bunch of tools that aid in profiling an applicant as well as an officer's final decision. But the biggest and most volatile factors that often come to play are the officers mood, Personal judgement, temperament and local knowledge at that particular time. That's why what works for one may not work for another..... 5k min or max doesn't guarantee all is or will be well... There's no Visa refusal that is the end of a case or the end of the world, circumstances change; you just never really know. So @Momsommy if you have the money and have given yourself some reality check please reapply ,then take time to chillax not withstanding the outcome. Youve been told what to do, and please as mentioned stick to your plans if granted. No change course. |
Ajuju inspire of the current issues arising due to `cheaper options, if you ever read the MIHS package you would see that it is clearly written there that eligibility for the package was determined by the mothers readiness to birth at their facility and the same package has it boldly written in black and white that there were no income or level of income requirements. So it was open to anyone at the time. This wouldn't be the first time you have passed a comment without being conscious of others feelings. Please be a little more empathetic..... Just thought to point it out. I hope you don't take this wrongly though! |
Omo these people dey vex o. How can it be a crime to take up a selfvpay package deal?. I was badly thrown aback when I was refused last week ; I can even tell you I've gotten over the refusal, I hope the air clears out soon on the issue of low or too cheap bills. In trying to get stuff together for my next Visa application I have called MIHS to get a fresh letter from them but no show them no gree. Haping on the fact that they gave zero balance letter before and that if d embassy needs to verify they should contact them. But my heart tells me them go soon calm down .... I've thatt feeling. It is well. |
For the consent form please Google DS -353 or check https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/under-16.html |
Sixta, just set aside money for your port health certificate shikena! Some folks dress 2 layers and add a coat as the third but to me e doesn't work, just be strong and lively also try to catch as much rest as you possibly can before your trip. |

BDCsAre still selling dollars, but not as they used to. this PTA issue don turn another thing.most banks are not selling at this time, those selling put you on a queue which still does not guarantee that you would get at the end of the day. |
Until your passport returns to you, you cannot re- apply. I'm sorry you may just have to wait it out. I believe checks were being done on your application. Just pray for speed. |

Please i need help,Mamas and Papas away at the moment, please can anyone help out with making further enquiries about the old/reviewed MIHS maternity package, I have called and talked but they keep holding and passing without displaying any knowledge of the info i need from them and finished all the money i in my wallet yesterday on calls, My people abeg if you get that free local calls service please help me call them and ask if that maternity package of 2014 was offered at the low rates at the time because the US government covered a substantial part of the bill. Or was it actually a discounted rate offered to self pay patients Abeg, I even asked for Francisca Hernandez the then financial counselor but they claim shes no longer with them. i am trying to get more facts and build on points to reapply. My head is hot. thanks all. |
