Quote from: madamkoko on Today at 03:27:56 PMNo, He believes thats the only way he could become financially sound again is to go to Nigeria. But I see wetin you they talk, they disgrace themselves over here and then wan come Niger after things don't go well. |
@ quinofhart The question posed is not about snobbery, BUT I think we ALL should care about the state of our country. Abroad or not. and I agree with beystwin, Ujujoan, and SleekP, |
hahaha, you this gal u're too much. |
I think that Ujujoan and Sleek P are referring to the issue of Brain Drain, |
Personally, I think that if you were really RICH, you won't be in the US. Rich Nigerians I know only come to the United States or Europe for School or Vacation. |
OMG, how many screen names do you have ? hahaha |
I actually met one Nigerian pusher recently, he was a HUGE pusher, got caught, hired phenomenal lawyers and ONLY got 3 years in jail with one year and in a half way house, now he's home with his family even though they're really BROKE now, he's actually thinking of going to Niger to continue business hopefully they let him come back in, (though he's a US citizen) So if these fools are smart, the berrer hire gooood lawyers. ![]() |
Ujujoan

You have a different view point, which I like. |
@ 4her, not everyone in Nigeria is suffering, yes, its true that majority of the people live under a dollar a day according to the US Statistics, but not everyone in Nigeria be sufferhead, |
Madam Koko,

LOL.!!!! |
doesn't this belong in the sexuality section. ![]() |
MyTempID, absolutely brilliant, I can't dispute your points. |
Absolute valid points!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() Obviously, whoever speaks up needs to do so strategically, |
How come its mostly Nigerians abroad that are Complaining about Nigeria's state. Most Nigerians who are financially stable/ or those who dey chop contracts and all financial benefits are not complaining, They will even tell you, I'll never stay in America. I only come for vacation or to go to school ( these are people who did primary and high school in Switzerland and College in the US, then graduate school in London) then they're back in Nigeria, then they make soooo much money ooo my god Sometimes I wonder, if a top Nigerian official came to you and gave you a contract to make you financially set, I bet many won't be complaining and wont really care about the poor or poverty in Nigera, so may be we should look at things differently, what do yáll think. ![]() |
I also don't blame the leaders. I blame US, NIGERIANS, for not speaking up against our leaders. We stay mum shut. BABA FELA, may his musical work live on, he was the only one who had the BALLS, ![]() |
MyTempID very solid points!!!!!!! Thank you. BTW: At least the poor in America can still rely on menial jobs at McDonalds to get by. Most poor people in America can't get by with menial jobs considering that the economy is very weak and something basic as food prices keeps increasing, History will repeat its self and what happened in the 1970s will happen again (drugs, high crimes rates, and all and all) |
@ Lakanye yes u're right, there may be some postive and negative implications ( History repeats itself and I don't see a positive)>. I don't see it as an invasion, oof couse not. Nigeria is still a colony, Thanks for letting me know that you are a US Citizen and work for the US government ( personally, I could care less ) EVERY NIGERIAN SHOULD BEGIN TO PERCEIVE SOMETHING GOOD OUT OF A US BASE IN A NIGERIAN TERRITORY.[s][/s] who brainwashed you ? hahaha, I totally respect your opinion, but pls don't be fooled. Sometimes we come home to visit, and feel sad about deplorable conditions in Nigeria Yes, u're right a majority of Nigerians are poor and live under a dollar a day according to US statistics but most Nigerians I know don't live in deploreable conditions. ![]() |
Chidichris: you must know nothing about the US international policies, its NOT MEANT TO HELP DEVELOPING COUNTRIES, ITS MEANT TO EXPLOIT IT. You are seeing the Americans coming in as an opportunity for economic development, which is gooood, pls I recommend some research on where the US has built military bases and see whether it has actually improved the country, |
The fact you've acknowledged that Africa has resources only means that its not POOR. China alone invests almost 8 billions dollars in Africa, I wonder why ![]() If there was no potential for thier return I am quite certain that they won't invest in it. Bill Clinton's Global Initiative is focused on how to exploit Africa, ( Bill Clinton has tagged himself an expert on Africa and he is paid 2 million dollars to give speeches on Africa) Almost every foriegner I know wants to go to Africa, not to visit but to find ways to exploit it, I wonder why, if the continent was soo POOR why would they want to go Anyways onward, I go |
Amen ooo, may your children never be slaves. |
If you are going to make a point, make sure its valid. I am entitled to my opinion and your opinion is WRONG and will always be WRONG. You must be very stupid to think that Africa does not harness its resources, You might need further research to support your statements before you choose to post. Motsepe and Sexwale are among the wealthiest men in the world. I wonder how ? |
Why should Nigerians come back home for what ? You should only come back if you have something waiting for you, once I figure out a way to exploit Nigeria and other African countries (I will Until then, I refuse to let some armed robbers take away my life over 10kobo when there is 10 million with some political thief. |
I don't know of any white man who makes money without something in Africa, Africa is the richest continent in the entire universe. |
Quote from: madamkoko on Today at 07:28:57 PM Africa is the richest and wealthiest continenent in the entire universe ( in heaven and on earth) African is the richest. No we are not.For instance,if you look at Nigeria's oil revenue per capita, its effectively peanuts. What we possess is economic potential not wealth. Do must be looking at the wrong data, hahah ( maybe we need a better research anaylst) Nigeria's oil revenue and production = |
I appauld BLACK men like Okoya, Motsepe and Sexwale, who have been able to use African resources to make some GOOD money. Usually, its normally foreigners that use our resources, we work for foreigners in our own countries,, we easily let foreigner use us and our resources, and then we RUN to other countries, I appauld Abiola, FELA, who can TALK and speak up, |
Africa is poor because we are stupid, and our leaders know that. We are not stupid because we are not smart or brilliant, we are stupid because we do not talk, we do not speak up, we do not stand up for our lives, We accomodate stupidity, ( I appauld some Nigerian writers who have done spoken out, although few have been exiled, they have at least spoken up. We don't know a good leadership from bad leadership, plus our leaders have severe INFERIORITY COMPLEX. ( they see white man and they're shaking) |
Africa is the richest and wealthiest continenent in the entire universe ( in heaven and on earth) African is the richest. |
Nigerian leaders needs deliverance from STUPIDITY AND INFERIORITY COMPLEX. |
@ poster, This shit is going to come back to HARM and hurt Nigeria, If you know anything about the US international policies, creating a military base in Nigeria will NOT help the country in ANYWAY, They are only there for economic interests and will only continue to exploit the country, You think the Nigerian government is bad now, watch the Americans commit atrocious crimes against our brothers and sisters and NOTHING will be done about it. A US military base is Nigeria is DANGEROUS for Nigeria, before you know it, uncle Omotola will be labeled a Terrorist, a Guatanomo bay prison will be in Nigeria filled with soo many innocent folks, the people I feel bad for the most are Northerners. |
@ poster, do you need an ending to the story line of a movie ![]() ![]() |
Naja Haje now has a different screen name ![]() |
I'll never forget the day ABACHA died ( i think he was murdered ), there was a HUGE party in my house in lagos, its like all our prayers worked. |
