He is right.

Most people dont realise businesses are the core of every society.

If more people build businesses, unemployment will reduce
You are right but there must be a conducive environment for business. It's easier to establish a business in England than in Nigeria.
The conducive environment comes in form of infrastructure ( road, security, power, water, education, reasonable loans, etc), fair legislation, etc. All these things are provided by any intending business man or woman, would provide gen set, water borehole, transportation issues, extortion from security, crazy loans. Who can borrow at 35%interest when that is the return on a thriving business is Europe.
Who can create businesses when the educational sector is in shambles churning out graduates that will make you weep for Nigerian education.

I blame the fools who still go to church and mosque and allow fools like Bakare, Abuja and Tinubu mislead them.

My people, I need your guide again. My previous application for study permit (M.Sc.) was denied due to my career progression (cos i already have M.Sc and PhD). I added my wife and daughter to the application but their own applications are still in progress since July 22, 2020. We are yet to do our biometrics.
To God be the glory, I received a full time offer letter for Post-doctoral fellow from University of Northern British Columbia and I have been given an employee number.
Now I want to apply for work permit.
Can I link the existing applications for my wife and daughter with my own new application? Or should I cancel their applications and reapply for all of us?
Can we still use the previous biometric request letters (date on it was July 22, 2020), and add it to previous application (note that my own has been denied and no decision on their own yet)? Or should we pay for new biometric?
Please any info on this will be appreciated.
Thank you.
To the best of my knowledge, BIL issued in July were valid for 90 days due to closure of VAC for COVID lockdown. It expired in October. Was it extended for you? If not, You have to apply afresh

Kimkalash:
Hi guys, sorry it took this long.

Did not do covid test. No one checked my luggage in Lagos. Just went to the Ethiopian airlines stand, gave them enrolment letter, admission letter, arrive can receipt photocopy and I checked in my luggage. Begged the checker to put me by the window for all flights up to Newfoundland, he did and i just tipped his something. Went to have breakfast and then dashed towards the boarding gate. As expected, na only pilot no tax me. Plane left around 2. We got to Addis Ababa around 9.
Getting out of the plane, we rushed to the boarding gate to get set for Dublin. Plane left around 11 and we got to Dublin about 8 hrs later I think. This was so so long. There was quite a delay at Dublin I think because of logistics but from Dublin to Toronto it took us about 7 hrs. The journey was long for me as my max before now used to be around 5 hrs.

We got to Toronto, waited for about 30 minutes in the plane, went straight to border services, filled a few forms, showed our arrive can, boarding pass and passport and then we were directed towards immigration. The guy just came to us, asked us for passport, tuition receipt/enrolment verification, declaration form and admission letter. 10 minutes later, he called me, gave me back my documents and issued my study permit and gave me a paper to direct me on how to get my social insurance number, then that was all.

Checked in my luggage going to Newfoundland. It was still past 11 and my flight was for 9:30 pm so i just followed my Nigerian friends going to Vancouver to their boarding gate, gisted and saw them off at past 2. Then it was only me. This was draining. I then began to tour the airport and met a South Sudanese woman with whom I discussed the state of our countries and neo-colonialism. She's a Canadian citizen so she enlightened me a whole lot and when she realized i didnt have cash cause I was complaining on phone that i was hungry, she gave me 20 U.S dollars but the mumu me went to Italian to buy ham, bacon and coke. I forcefully finished it o.

Went to my boarding gate 2 hrs prior and saw a white guy. Moved closer to him and started a conversation. He was speaking fast so my accent also had to change. We discussed Trump, liberalism, Canada's plan towards development and economic expansion, American and Chinese trade wars and the beauty of data analytics in Insurance. A few minutes to board, we parted and he got to the plane first as per him seat be like first class.

I later got on the plane but when the plane paced around the runway, i think it began to have issues so the captain said we'd return to the gate and do a system refresh on the plane. It delayed for two hours. I sha know say after like five minutes wey plane move up, i don sleep. Before I know, e don remain 8 minutes to land. Landing was thrilling cause the journey from Lagos was long. I got to the NFL border, took my luggage, approached the border official, submitted my passport, travel declaration form and my GT atm card for indentification. She spoke her English and then freed me. I met my greeter and he put me in the cab but failed to tell the porter i was coming cause he was attending to two others.

The cabman dropped me and I knocked and knocked but nobody came through. I was just on a shirt. I languished in the cold, shouted for help but no one came through. I saw a car pass by and slowly approached the car and an Asian lady listened to me, asked me to wait and she called her supervisor. I ran across the road for like five minutes to limit the effect of the cold and then she drove towards me and gave me a number to call but that was when the other two guys came and the porter came around. I went in, called the greeter, fuckling blast him and he apologized. I was then shown my room and I checked in for isolation. I am in quarantine.
A mix of experiences you see?
Thanks bro.
You and @rebeccausoro experience can be made to short drama for radio.

All boarding school students experience this. I did in my time. It's due to multiple reasons, homesickness, poor nutrition, stress of fending oneself at young age, manual labour, bullying, unhappiness. But I think it will reduce in senior classes. But parents should ask him if he is bring bullied

I have applied for GCMS note since 2 months now. They gave extra 90days before it can be sent.
Sorry about this outcome.
Just zone out for this holiday enjoy it.
Then after holidays with a clear head, gather documents and evidence to address all the listed points. You can also wait for your gcms notes and include any other items to buttress your next application.

Every disappointment is temporary and a lesson/blessing in disguise.

These two statements "remain closed for submission of visa application" and "work resumes FULLY on Jan. 4th 2021" suggests that they're not completely closed for business operations, just not receiving new visa applications.

Perhaps, they might still be accepting passport requests since it's not a fresh visa application. Just my thoughts oh based on their english, I don't know for certain.

It will end in praise for us all...
But if I recall, the post made reference to South African visa office at VAC Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. VFS handles for other countries like Ireland, Canada, etc. VFS is not IRCC. IRCC statutory holiday is December 25, 28, January 1. VAC/ VFS post talked about South African visa. I think that's why someone said he sees crowd induced traffic whenever he's passing there .Correct me o. ABI I don't understand English
PoliticsRe: How Is The Electricity Bill In Your Area? by MadeMan01(m): 5:31pm On Dec 21, 2020
Those thieves.
My bill averages N2,500-N3,500 monthly based on single phase meter and monthly reading of 85-150 units of consumption by Ikeja Electric staff.
To my surprise the staff didn't read my meter for November and I got a bill of N49k+.
I called him and he didn't pick call so I knew he was aware of the scam crazy bill. I did letter formally and submitted at their customer service office at Ponle near Egbeda to retract the bill and come read my meter before giving bill or they may hear from my lawyer. Even with new tariff, based on average consumption of 85-150 units, it would be reasonable. Instead I saw 889 units of consumption.
It is cheaper for me to run on generator and petrol.
Those people are thieves. I don't blame people who now opt for illegal connection

The flight was lllloooonnngggg. Ethiopian airlines is so cheap and underrated. Please try it if you have time for the stopovers.

I know you can't generalize but the border officials and immigration personnels were super nice. The guy even came to the queue, took our documents (LOA, Tuition receipt, passport and the Declaration card we filled on the plane )and issued our permits without stress. When I went to check in my luggage, the attendants were so humble and attentive.

My guys don limme go Vancouver sha. Arriving St John's after midnight.

Still so speechless I don't know what else to say
Congratulations.
Rest and give us proper report from Nigeria to destination in Canada. Also, is the quarantine location to be at final destination point or first point of entry in Canada
