My son is only 7 years and 4 months old, and I allow him and his 5 year old sister to do minor chores such as making their beds when they wake up, sweeping their rooms to some extent, taking their plates to the kitchen after eating, and brushing their teeth at night. However, there is one thing I frown upon in the house, "Sending a young guy of his age on street errands," but I discovered that my wife finds it so easy to do so.

Please i want to know if I am simply the one overreacting and too overprotective OR a child of that age should not be sent on an errand?

At 7 years , I was in Primary 2. I walked to school which was about 600metres away and we lived in FESTAC.

You can send them on errand within your street to buy sugar, egg, Coke, etc to build their confidence

Note it's possible provided your Schengen visa hasn't expired

Currently now the embassy have not release any date yet. The last date I heard someone booked was December 26. Let just be hopeful a new date will be release

You are not rejected. You are only told to apply through the ABUJA Embassy in Maitama. Embassy told VFS not to accept any National Visa which is the same as long stay visa. You can only apply for Schengen visa through vfs.

Another comes to say: they are accepting applications since July. Giving unreliable reports on the current state of the job seeker visa application

Who have tried between July and August and where did you submit your visa document requirements : in Abuja or VFS centre in Lagos ? What has been the success rate on this visa category

Let us be clear on this. There is no money to waste this 2023 on futile travel dreams.

I tried to submit on July 14 at VFS Lagos. My application was rejected. The supervisor was called and he told me Portugal embassy sent them email not to collect job seeker visa application.

In a normal society, you would expect the authorities to reach out via phone or e-mail and tell you what's making it stagnate.
But in Nigeria, you have to be proactive. I captured with my brother on May 31, 2023 and that same evening, all boxes were ticked except the last stage till today. we are awaiting the issuance

The fact his NIN hasn't been verified makes me suspect that is where the issue is. I could be wrong but he needs to confirm his NIN is having no issues
