I heard somewhere that the I should not take the Guarantor's Form to any court/magistrate outside. I heard there is a provision for it to be sworn at the passport office.

I would like to confirm this please.

Please, in all tha you do in life, be it passport application or planning for children school fees, avoid last minute arrangements. The guarantor form clearly shows the officers capable of signing the guarantor form. Get one of them, I used a notary public for my mom last year and brother this year and it was collected ( make sure Notary Public signs with red seal), you can use a Commissioner for Oaths or any other listed. Arrange your completed documents in advance and avoid last minute stress. What if you get there and it's starts raining heavily, will you be running with documents in the rain?

I forwarded this to an officer at the alausa NIS, and I was told only a high ranking officer can do this for you or you wait until its due for renewal ( 6months before expiration ) it'll cost you 4x the original price according to him, if you're in Lagos, he can help you out, if you're not, make sure you're handing it over to a high ranking officer else you'll wait up to a year, according to him.

I need your advise.

I lost my Dad some months ago (Mum is late as well) and inherited the family house as the first child while my siblings inherited other properties (all in Lagos)

My immediate brothers are based abroad while the last born that stays in family house alone just informed me he considering UK Masters JAPA route. He's definitely leaving this September.

My main problem now is; how do I dispose off the household items? My initial long term plan is actually to travel down to Lagos (I work in another state) while on annual leave, list the household items online, remodel the Duplex into flats and rent them out.

Unfortunately, I cannot do that as I have exhausted my annual leave days for 2023. His decision to JAPA came abrupt else I would have planned myself.

Are there companies that handle sales of household stuffs in Lagos for people not physically present? I'm scared of being duped.

Another challenge is the house itself, how do I keep the house/compound busy? I've committed my resources to some on-going projects and so don't have spare cash for the house remodelling this year.

Is it wise to put a house under locks from September 2023 till January/February 2024 when i can take another vacation? I'm just confused.

They treat cases on intended date of travel. So people travelling on 24th will be attended to before those traveling on 28th irrespective of whether they submitted first. When I went to UK in March, they credited me two days before my travel date

Thanks. But note that in this case the passport is not expired. I want to get the 10year passport reissued to me to replace the passport that will expire in October 2024 before I travel to avoid stress of renewal when abroad

How what average processing time for passport application from Ikoyi Lagos?

Visa alert!!!
I got UK visa in February and went to UK March 25-April 8.
Applied for France Schengen and did biometric on April 13.
Passport return Notification April 19
UPS delivery of passport April 20.
First time UK and Schengen applicant. Got 90days multiple entry France Schengen.

Must I arrive France first if I decide to visit the Schengen area or can I visit any country of my choice in the area since I have the Schengen visa?

Qatar doesn't fly from the new terminal.

Thank you. I confirm your information is correct. This was my experience using Qatar Airways to UK and back from Lagos.
However I advise anyone who intends to transit to allow for 3 hours at least stop over in case the fight is delayed for any reason at departure. Also Doha airport is VERY BIG AND EXPANSIVE. You need time to walk, or take bus or metro train within airport to catch your connecting flight at no extra cost

I did my France Schengen visa biometric on Thursday April 13, 2023. I was wondering if I need to get another European Schengen member visa after it expires, do I need to do another biometric or is it that all EU Schengen states share biometric info.

I need logical and realistic opinions on this matter.
Please who is familiar with the concept of migrating a passport that is unexpired.
I have a 5 year passport that is about to expire in Oct 2024. The passport contains valid UK visa March - September 2023.

Now I may have to leave the country by third quarter of this year 2023 and I do not want the stress of renewing passport when abroad so I considered renewing my passport before it expires and before I travel, with a 10 year passport.
An immigration officer told me I can and it's called migration passport renewal. The initial passport with visas would be cancelled without prejudice when the new one is issued but the visas would still be valid on the old one

Who is familiar with this and how does it work. Hope I won't have issues presenting both passports at point of departure? Thank you in advance.

Please for your UK Visa application did you used "mybankstatement" or did you eventually attached an actual Bank statement to your application ? I want to confirm if UKVI accept mybankstatement instead of actual bank statement upload.

I know immigration says one should commence renewal 6months or less to expiration.
Is it possible to start and pay to choose appointment date 6 months or less to expiration today, since Payments are valid for a year?
