Education › Re: Playwright And Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka diagnosed With Cancer by Madeu(m): 9:30pm On Nov 25, 2014
chimaobikanu:
t a press conference today,
renowned playwright and Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka,
has announced that he was
diagnosed of cancer last December.
Speaking at the June 12 Cultural
Center in Ogun State, "Kongi"
encouraged awareness and
preventative measures in stopping
the spread of the disease. He
attributes early detection and proper nutrition to his stable health so far. Soyinka said that initially he felt the
cancer was “an unwanted squatter in
his body." He later resolved that he
"had to get rid of it whether it is a
slow growing one or malignant.” While not hinting at the kind or
extent of cancer he has, Soyinka's
son, Dr. Olaokun Soyinka,
Commissioner for Health in Ogun
State, told The Nation his father was
treated for “prostate cancer.”

You know, this BMS of a thing makes me sad most times. Going through the stress of reading wide, going extra mile to borrow courses from Biochemistry, anatomy and other department. Coming out as a fresh graduate, with no hope of working somewhere related to your line except lecturing.

I just wonder why they belittle us, I wonder why they can't give us a license. Personally, I'm the shy and timid type. Do you think lecturing is the best option for me?.

Starting from 100 level, I'll always sit and ask what's next after after B.Sc. Going back for medicine is just a no no.

I only look up to God. Am so confident in him. I know He'll guide and direct my path to my place of fulfilment.
Most renowned academicians are the nerdy, geek types. When they have something great to offer, they overcome the stage fright feeling and the timidness they faced in everyday contact with people.

Many of my colleagues are doing something useful with their BMS cert. You can also do better.

I ordinarily do not respond to wild and baseless speculations.

No bank in Nigeria disburses N27m by ticking off a checklist. A product programme with a limit of N25m normally needs management sign-off, in the least, a GM endorsement.

Disbursement of N27m as low a number as 100 beneficiaries would amount to almost N3 billion of principally unsecured loan whilst 1000 customers would translate to almost N30 billion. Which Nigerian bank would want to be that exposed on unsecured consumer loan? Just factor in the fact that customers are supposed to be availed of the loan willy-nilly within 3 days as you want us to believe. Any bank on that kind of largesse would experience a bank run within 6 months.

You better stick to what you know.
You talk as if Buhari is a commoner like you.

Nice conversation ere...I want to ask a question that is bordering me n I want someone to b of help pls....can a graduate of anatomy be given [b]license to pratice if he shud do msc in]med lab or radiography[\b]?...and also, what are the lucrative msc programmes to run within and outside anatomy?...thanks
First, with your Bsc Human Anatomy, you can't be giving any practising licence in Nigeria.

Secondly, you can't do an Msc program in Medical Laboratory Science or Radiology( those are strictly professional courses) with your Bsc Human Anatomy here in Nigeria,

Msc Human Anatomy is lucrative outside the country, also Forensic Science
Politics › Re: Can A Woman Be The President Of Nigeria? by Madeu(m): 8:12am On Oct 08, 2014
The only time Nigerian woman can be President of Nigeria, if she's the Vice President and the President dies or was impeached. The odds will be seriously against her. But for Nigerian woman to be voted for as President, I doubt that can happen. Even our '' Almighty'' America hasn't even gotten a Female VP, or a party Presidential representative talk more of POTUS.

Civil engineers, construction workers, and designers allow us to marvel at grandiose buildings, bridges, and overall structures that we never would have been thought possible to build. It takes years of studies, dedication and structural design to become a civil engineer, for example, and they're highly respected, rightfully so. However, there are always a few that fall through the cracks and who fail miserably at their job. As long as no one gets hurt (which I don't think anyone has), these images of construction and building blunders will make you laugh.

crusader01: If a whole Dangote can bag salt,Dbanj koko garri can't fail. Life is step by step. Failing to take a step is failure.
Imagine salt. Even made media campaign against buying salt not packaged, and fortified with Vitamin A .
I remember when I do buy salt measured in cups, now my orientation has changed that I dare not think of doing that. Same too might happen with buying measured garri in cups and mundu.
And some die-hard haters says it will fail woefully.

Watch when they will even use their hard-earned money to buy the Koko garri.
Agriculture › Re: Aliko Dangote Endorses D’banj’s “koko Garri” by Madeu(m): 3:30am On Jun 30, 2014
safarigirl: a whole lot of what? Nobody prefers more expensive products to cheaper products.
We're talking about Garri here, not clothes or the likes, just common garri. Where are these 'whole lot of people' that will buy expensive garri over cheap garri? If you're aiming to get gains, selling products at cheaper prices is the route to go
safarigirl: Poor business investment. There's almost no point bringing up something with a far cheaper alternative, the cheaper alternative will trump the shii outta you.
This koko garri is probably sold for nothing less than 150 naira, when I can buy garri one mudu for less, why would I waste money on this? What is the percentage of rich people/formers that will buy this product?
Someone forgot to do a proper market survey, semovita or wheat would've been even better. At least with that, the market price will be pretty even.
I believe, you didn't consider Nigerians outside the country that can't get #150 mundu of garri at the market closer to them. That always yearn to drink garri with skimmed milk, sugar and ice water.
