Politics › Re: Amaechi Vs Wike's Ministerial Portfolio: Which One Is More Lucrative & Powerful? by Madeu(m): 7:15pm On Sep 05, 2023
Millimann:
Amaechi's transportation is more powerful but considering what they invested in the party, Wike benefited more.

Amaechi invested Rivers money in APC but Wike only rigged election for them, although he did it foolishly that everyone knows that they actually lost the state.

But how did Wike resort to rigging in Rivers even after employing over 200,000 SA's. That means he is not that popular.
As the FCT minister, Wike can identify all properties bought with stolen Rivers money and demolish it to deal with 'political enemies'. By destroying their wealth means they can be bankrupt . That brings all Wike's 'political enemies' under his wings.
How can a minister of transport destroy wealth of his 'political enemies?

Thank you.

I appreciate.

Embarking on another MSc after the present one is a cost I am not sure I can accommodate at this time though.

Is there any other way to onboard a nursing career or even a biomedical science career? I wouldn’t mind a lower band, provided it’s a pathway to sponsorship.

A lot of things still look sketchy on this journey and I really want to firm up my plans from the get go.
Not all Uni in the UK are IBMS accredited. If it's possible to cancel your admission and get a refund or switch to nursing

Please elders in the house, I need your advice.

My dream has always been to work in the lab as a medical lab scientist. Due to some factors, I couldn’t get admitted into the course in Nigeria, I had to study medical biochemistry.

The conversion course was also stopped in Nigeria so I couldn’t move over.

Now, I will be resuming in UK for MSc Biotechnology next month, I have the following questions, please:

1. Is it still worth it pursuing a conversion to Biomedical Science practice in the UK? Is it possible?

2. If yes, how? Are there courses and internship to take to join IBMS, and eventually HCPC so I am ready to take on NHS roles immediately after graduation.

3. Or should I just fully pursue Biotechnology which seems to have limited opportunities and sponsorship in the UK compared to Biomedical Science.

Note: The only time I practiced biomedical science was during my IT in Nigeria few years ago. But I have worked in the health/wellness awareness space ever since graduation.

Thanks a lot
Why not Prereg Nursing? Easy to get sponsorship. Not worth it.

This barbaric behavior will never end as long as religion is still been practiced.

Russia has always been the biggest arms supplier.
The goal is to get cheap Uranium and sell at high price to the global market or use it to develop their arm/ electricity market.

All these children that UK government will not let you discipline. Back then I remember a class mate being brought to Nigeria and “abandoned”. He spent about two years with his uncle, during that period the reforming😉😉 he received.
When he returned to the UK he was a completely changed being.
What the government fail to realise is that training black children is not the same way you train White or Asian kids. Black children need some form of iron hard to mould and shape them to be a better members of society.

"Recent immigrant"

That is a self limiting misnomer and I encourage every legal immigrant to take advantage of every single legal opportunity this country offers.

At the moment, Nigeria is sending its very best skilled and brightest to the UK as immigrants. Don't let anybody convince you that you are less just because you are new.

I haven't let that stop me and you shouldn't either.

In passing, I pay an outrageous amount in taxes. So if you are using that criteria, I still retain my audacity of equality. You can choose to relinquish yours, I will exercise mine fully.
I call myself an expatriate.

I have friends here in the United Kingdom who are struggling to get an entry-level job in cybersecurity even after having a master’s degree in cybersecurity. Just like some people have said, it’s very difficult to see an entry-level job in cybersecurity because most of these multinational companies need someone with experience. I will advise one to start with data analysis or data science which has more direct entry jobs, unlike cybersecurity.
The UK govt is funding a 14-week cyber security program open for people without a degree. After a job await the people that complete the course. It's shocking even a master's holder is struggling to get a job.

A Quick Question to the Financial Gurus: A friend of mine whose father’s friends has a company in Uk have recently been sending about 10k to 20k£ monthly to his Personal Uk account (from his company’s account) which he changes via lemonade or sometimes sells to students for school fee payment/visa/IHS and then eventually send the equivalent in naira to Nigeria. He wants to know if he will be liable on tax on such money.
Ask the father. More aware of the UK tax system, for him to own a company.

When will they introduce Hausa language in Russia tongue
Despite Hausa been one of the largest spoken languages in Africa, the truth is Hausa culture didn't evolve with time. They became like spartan(very rigid); hardly do you see their professionals in key areas in large numbers both at home and abroad.
This is one aspect where Yoruba culture stands better off, which outsiders are noticing.

The UK is Afraid...they are not thinking about today but tomorrow. Nigerians are taken up everywhere... Most of these masters student and their dependents are highly skilled. Most Nigerians start out at the lower end of the food chain but in few years, we are always at the upper end.

Have you visited the hospitals, schools, banks, football academy, even the IT sector that we thought Indians were the King, Nigerians are occupying lots of position gradually. Most masters degree classes are now filled up with Nigerians.

I may be wrong but if you're observing this from the other side of the coin, it's possible. The UK works on data, the effect of 686% increase in the number of student visa applications from Nigeria is alarming. If these continues over the years, which we all know it will, then a naija kid born and raised by an immigrant family may as well be contesting for the PM in 200-300years from now.

The UK can take in 200k refugees but they can't withstand seeing their educational institutions filled up with Nigerians...This is not about the pressure on the system..

I saw some comments earlier about the pressure on NHS, my spouse and I paid around £8k for IHS, I never got sick once before leaving the UK. 100k refugees did not not pay £1 for IHS and yet it is the students that are putting pressure on the system.

Like I said the UK is AFRAID, but of what?
I was telling someone this on Tuesday. My department employed five international recruits last year. The five were Nigerians. Learnt another one is coming this year. A lot of my Senior colleagues are always furious when lot of Nigerians in Nigeira apply for job vacancies. .

This is the time we need good leadership. We all want good leadership but when presented with an opportunity to choose a leader that will lead from the war front we choose people that will rather go to France and UK for medical than build our hospitals.
You might be shocked; that the ambassador has fled the country. Everybody is fighting for their security.
