that is when u use a technical word for a life style,
if u mean the linkage between people then yes it mean a form of matching.
somewhat like a blind date that links two strangers for the perfect matching based on their profile
Hmmm ok thank you smiley wink, I will leave it at that. I do not want to derail this topic.

@Poster while I am at it, could you tell me  what "linkage" means? embarassed I've asked my friends, they've all looked very  shocked shocked

linkage means a a link to something that is for example when u're on wikipedia the online encyclopedia u have a lot of words that links you or connect you to another page or another website or another meaning, that's the meaning of linking, and linkage is an adjective.
embarassed
Hmmm yes I agree, but I've been told it means embarassed embarassed a form of "dating" activity. embarassed

Since I joined Nairaland four to five years ago and have been quite active on all the boards, the most misunderstood and most abused board is the discussion board on Romance.

Most of the posters mistake romance for their unromantic whims and caprice.

Nigerian bad belly sef don join romance.

Please, look into your dictionary and see the meaning of romance to help you grasp and come to grips with what romance is all about.
I agree.

I had no idea that "dating" had another meaning until I came to this land.

@mad girl

I really do not agree with what you said about guys who sleep around bin d majority, We all know what the world is turning out to be now, lots of things are happening this days, Ladies no longer care about sleeping around with guys, i heard a lady say one day, "its not a new thing to me, na today, anyway, thanks for the cash and few times spent, Mugu" the guy turned around and walked away like a fool, he was actually expecting the lady to feel bad, but instead it meant nothing to her. I dont want this to be bassed solely on d ladies. It is a 50 50 things,
My friend who is considering getting married to this lady isnt a virgin as well. He has had over three relationships, But the girls dont know each other, His case with this particular lady is different, Even if he gets married to her i dont think he can get that thought off his mind, at some point in time he would reflect back and feel bad,
So he's had 3 sexual relationships before undecided, why should that be okay but the lady having 1 be classed as being used and dumped.

This is a man's world so I know a girl cannot behave in the same manner that a man does without some come back.

If you think your "friend" cannot get over the fact that this girl slept with your/his friend then do what makes you feel right lipsrsealed

I really do not see how the @poster can/should take any blame with regards the scenario she's placed before us on this thread.

The "sister" should take the lions share of the blame, to lay with your sister's husband/bf should be an absolute no no.

^^^^^^yeah, people forget that some human beings just dont have any morals(man and woman).
aint it funny how the poster is considering forgiving one but not the other, like as if the guy part was worst than the sister's?!

also, some women have double standards. . . . . . . . . they talk about being strong, intelligent and all that but when they fukc up and choose to date/marry some playa, its not their faults its the evil playa's fault.
A male or female who behaves despicably should always be blamed.

Anyone can make a mistake in a choice of partner but we should all try   to keep our mistakes to a minimum. lipsrsealed

Yes you are right a little, at some point the guy is hailed. But those same guys hailing their friend for sleeping around wit lots of girls will not even allow their own sister to be a friend their fellow guy who they know all he does is break d heart of young ladies, let alone will they allow their sister get married to him,
@Poster, one thing about you which I really like you say it how you see it without insults.

Let me reply truthfully, guys who sleep around are the majority.

If the girl you are referring to had one or 2 partners and your "Friend" not a virgin then "pot calling kettle black" springs to mind.

If you or your friend cannot move past the fact that she's had a s exual relationship before then move on, but remember time can dull down certain resentments. wink

Your post was really hot, hmmmn to be truthfull with you vival, i am not against she and my friend getting married. I am just putting myself in my friends shoes, Same thing i am thinking thats what other guys are thinking, this thing is not just all about the woman, it also appplies to the men as well, I wouldnt let my sister get married to a guy who i know he has slept around with everything on skirt,

so dont get annoyed and mistalk. This is a fact, if you have a friend who is wild and was used and dumped, will you let your bro get married to her? Look at it beyond just a woman woman thing,

This same thing will happen anywhere in d world, its not associated to nigeria alone. Men are d same,
I do not agree with you on that, most guys who do this are hailed by their fellows.

What do you call a wild girl, she's had 1 s exual partner before your "friend" or she's had 10?

A friend said, "I guess it just boils down to cutting off those not so great people." What I think is there is no way you will move through live without coming across people that will make you fill pissed. Life is not a bed of roses. This people are there for a purpose: To build your inner strength. The only way you can help yourself is to know it's your choice either to be pissed or not and if you want to change people around you, change yourself.

Hope I made sense? smiley
Yes you did, but I do not agree.

If you try to live a good life and you treat people with respect and kindness, that's what you should expect back.

People may take your kindness for weakness, that's their loss not yours.

My take on this issue is, AVOID BAD PEOPLE LIKE THE PLAGUE, and if you do have to interact with them "watch your back". lipsrsealed

It is not racism to try and sort out immigration. The country is made up of different races, try and remember that.

I don't know why people [4play for example] see the need to bring issue of race/colour into this. Lets assume, the Human race is one colour, I wonder if folks like him will still opt for an open border policy? huh

a friend of mine is in this situation right now, i dont know how to advice him really, but he loves d girl based on some wifey qualities she's got, but i still think he shouldnt and thats why am here to ask for others opinion, if it were to be you, what will you do, ? For ladies, if it were ro be your brother, will you let him move on?
Honestly if it were my brother, and he knew for a FACT that this was the case.

I would tell him to think carfully and  spend as much time as possible together before taking it any further.

If they both truly love each other, time can nullify the negative feelings he may have.

Romance › Re: My Sister Had My Boyfriend's Baby. Forgive Her? Not? by madlady(f): 6:28am On Jun 27, 2010
Carolece:
I had what I thought was a lovely relationship with a man I met while in college. He's intelligent, creative, made me laugh alot and he was a very loving person. Always there for me and my family, nothing was too hard for him to do for my family. They all loved him.

To get to the point and to cut the story short. My sister had a boyfriend, they were having problems, they were together for almost 4 years when she found out she was "finally pregnant". When she found out, they started to have some serious problems, to the point they broke up. At that time, we (the family) didnt know what was the real problem as neither of them spoke about it, they just argued then she said they'd had enough and he left.

We were very supportive of her and the unborn child. My boyfriend would "fit in" now as the person to take her around. I sometimes even call him for her to take her places, and as usual, he never refuse, unless he's really tied up. He and my sister started to get so close, but ofcourse not, I wouldnt think anything of it, as she was hurting and he was a caring person, so I thought lightly of their closeness.

When the baby was born, the resemblance was splitting image of my boyfriend, quite interesting I said to myself, looking at the baby in the hospital. I didnt say a word, but obviously everyone in my family including him noticed what I noticed. My mother was the first to break the silence like a week after, she said it was a bother to her.

Surprizinly, both of them admitted to the affair they'd been having, and it was the reason for her and her boyfriend to break up, as her boyfriend found out and left her.

To this day, I havent said a word to the man I as with, it was never the right time to talk about it. I didnt want to hear, it was instant breakup. Going 5 yrs now. I grew very aprart from my family, didnt go there for a full year after the birth of the baby as it was too painfuly to look at the child and remember. He's innocent, and I dont want to hate him. As for my sister, I havent spoken to her as yet either and cant find it in me to forgive her.

Should I put it behind me and forgive my sister. Would you?

No question about the man, he's long history he's not even remembered. I've gotten over him ages.
That's good, he's not worth  one second of your time.

Your sister's part in this is almost unforgivable, but, if you are able to forgive then it would be the best thing for you.

I do not have a sister, but if I did I am not sure I would be able to do the above embarassed, but I know that by forgiving her it would make my life easier.

@madalady, most of them these women are vulnerable, d lady that was conned £40,000 had just lost her husband so she must have bn lonely, I have noticed most of the women that have granted an interview to Tv stations after bn duped are always in ther 50's, there was another programme on ITV late late year, i think it was under 'to catch a fraudster@' bits of it are on you tube, the man who was conned was in his 50's and was single with a picture of dis hot naija babe, its easy to fall for anything when one is lonely but if something sounds too good to be true, its probably is, by the way i was not aware Ghanian's were into things like that, but the fraudsters house was wickede. LOL. I was in naija a few weks ago and I saw these young guys in Range Rovers and I was told they were into yahoo and some were into yahoo plus and i was like what is yahoo plus,
Hmm, I am very much aware that they and other nations my own included are into  this in my part of London. sad

Human beings are just too greedy, some will even use their own relatives to bait traps. If they needed the money to put food in a starving child's mouth undecided maybe you could try to understand, but it's all just to live the high life, RANGE ROVERS, TOP OF THE RANGE BEEMERS and the likes.

Did anyone see the woman that was duped of £40,000 by Ghanian fraudsters., it was on CrimeWatch on BBC1 last week, you guys can watch it on BBC iplayer, it was shocking, there was another woman that sent £150,000 she refused to speak to CrimeWatch but the police confirmed she had sent the money, the frausters house was shown and it was huge, it was a mansion.
I feel sorry for the women and all other women that have bn duped, they are both facing repossesion, these women to me are not desperate, they are vulnerable,
I've just had a look at it shocked shocked shocked. I do feel very sorry for them, but how can anyone be so naive-\ undecided. I really do not know what to say. sad

you can ask the store clerks for suggestions. I don't have experience with them (my hair is definitely not "soft" lol) so i don't really have suggestions.

Thank you. I'm in the UK (London) we have all these products in the hair product shops but, the sellers are now Eastern European  and have no idea how/what advice to give. I've not noticed the kits for kids, I shall take a look at those and see if I can manage to do it myself undecided.

I'VE been adviced by hairdressers that the home kits are not suitable for  what they call mixed race peoples hair.

US appears to be far more savy with regards to the care of all types of black peoples hair.
