RomanceRe: Can A Girl Truly Love One And Deny The Person Intimacy? by maedan(f): 12:17pm On May 18, 2010
It might actually be true that most of the girls that deny their boyfriends intimacy are actually giving it to someone else. However for the sincere ones, they deserve to be respected for their decision, haba. Na by force.
BusinessRe: Bank Marketers, Are They Trying To Seduce Me With Romance Or What? by maedan(f): 12:12pm On May 18, 2010
Just had to look up the name "Walter Mitty, looked like I was the only one who didn't know what the term meant.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines a Walter Mitty as "an ordinary, often ineffectual person who indulges in fantastic daydreams of personal triumphs."

thanks 4 that, anyway sheraton is cool, but at your reply shocked shocked shocked shocked

na wao, u are despirate to knw them grin grin grin grin
My reply grin?/ Lol. I can bet some NLanders have many experiences with such people, though not necessarily bankers. Even making enquiries online is risky; if you leave a contact number/address they will hound you with letters/calls so that you will regret disturbing them with your enquiries into their products/services.

It's the economy I guess; one customer is worth a lot of effort wink.
BusinessRe: Bank Marketers, Are They Trying To Seduce Me With Romance Or What? by maedan(f): 7:28am On May 18, 2010
In any business involving sales of goods or services, the provider will go to any lengths to win a customer or make a sale. Showing even a minimum of interest is enough to get them to push till they get you/lose you. So yes, they are just doing their job. It's called "sales" and they are basically, salespeople.

By the way, how is "Sharaton"?? LOL. Check ur spelling wink.

You say this is a serious issue not to be taken lightly. Do you really expect anyone to take you seriously with a username like yours? Anyway it's a free world but I certainly will not be subscribing to any of your beliefs tongue. LOL>jk.

^^^ really that different? both are off hand remarks to describe another race. you want to claim that oyibo has benign roots therefor it is OK? hell the n word means the color black in Latin. cant get any more benign than that yet everyone knows it isn't acceptable to be said. you claim that because you feel it is OK there for it should be, there are thousands who say the n word is OK, doesn't make it so. the only reason why you take offence to n word is because it describes you. you all naughty woman and complain about how others speak about Nigerians but don't give a poo about how Nigerians talk about others.
Bla bla you contradict yourself. And you show up your lack of knowledge. Thank God you know "Oyibo" is merely a descriptive word, like saying "White Person". "Negro" is the word used to describe blacks, "Nig-ger" is the "N" word and the derogatory version. Calling a topic "White People's Soup" is no way offensive, I don't think even white people (yeah, I still call them that, easier than saying Caucasian - or is that word derogatory too? FFS!!!) will find the topic heading derogatory or racist once they understand that it is merely an adjective. Now run out of the kitchen, it seems too hot for you to handle. Making a mountain out of a molehill.
FoodRe: Oyinbo Soup by maedan(f): 4:56am On May 18, 2010
Wow. How on earth can you equate "Oyibo" with the "N" word? Talk about extreme views. Please stick to the Racist/Politics section and leave the food topics alone, you can't seem to handle them well undecided.
TravelRe: Sleep Box (pics) by maedan(f): 4:23am On May 18, 2010
Looks like something that would make you claustrophobic tongue. Well, Holiday Inn and co. have nothing to fear from these "sleep boxes" - no way will they catch on! Just a passing (craze).
FoodRe: Oyinbo Soup by maedan(f): 4:11am On May 18, 2010
Gosh, I vowed not to post here again till the title was changed back to "Oyibo Soup" - but seriously @ agathamari you seriously demoted this thread with your (foolish) comment about the word being a slur/derogatory. We were only referring to their soups for heck's sake! Not like we were trying to put anyone down. You really need to lighten up, it's just the flipping internet!
Nairaland GeneralRe: 11-year-old Spends $44 Million In Dubai by maedan(f): 10:53pm On May 17, 2010
"The total price tag: about $44 million -- or roughly 10,000 years' worth of salary for the average citizen of Azerbaijan. But the preteen who owns a big chunk of some of Dubai's priciest real estate seems to be anything but average."

At least we every day people have a clean conscience. Not spending millions when our countrymen/citizens could never see that to spend in 10 lifetimes.

Chioma Chukwuka lost a fan (?) in me too tongue .
Bawomolo curses are real o, you better believe.
LOL. I put the (?) next to the "fan" cos I was never crazy about her anyways. She's certainly not on my Top 10 Nollywood actresses - and now that I know she has a bad character to boot, then too bad for her tongue.
CelebritiesRe: War:chioma Chukwuka Vs Muma Gee by maedan(f): 8:26pm On May 17, 2010
I always kind of liked Muma Gee; I could never remember even one of her songs, bu I admired her unique adventurous fashion sense. ~She's one of the unique Nigerian musician/celeb females, while Chioma is an average actor who never got to the status of the Genevieves, Ini Edos and even Omotola. That's why she went on the show, to up herself. As for me I think she played the game wrong and she's definitely lost a fan(?) in me too.
CelebritiesRe: War:chioma Chukwuka Vs Muma Gee by maedan(f): 7:04pm On May 17, 2010
Incredible. For one female celeb to frustrate and annoy a fellow female celeb, she must have been MEAN. Strategy or no strategy, she made another lady cry piteously tongue. I think Chioma should ask for forgiveness or Muma Gee's Curse will follow her:

MUMA GEE

"Chioma Chukwuka was demonic in camp" - Muma Gee

In the camp she was boasting she's married and I'm not married. Maybe she's the first to marry in life. She flung my things out of the tent (because of a misunderstanding with actor Emeka ike). I looked at her and cried almost ceaselessly. That pained me to the bone and I will never forget. Honestly, I've never suffered that kind of humiliation since I was born, not even when I was poor. Whatever pain I suffered that day will follow that girl.
