Mo you're doing well i must say. however i was totally dissapointed while watching your program on marriages in Nigeria. where u featured igbo, yoruba & efik. your rep for the efik marriage was obviously not from Cross River State where we have the efiks but shd be an akwa ibom state man. what was featured is very far from what d efik marriage offers and totally off it. the efiks dress as princesses in marriage. it is an honorable occasion which actually has a britsh origin. its a very graceful occasion. being an Efik lady i was actually irratated at what i saw and felt that your program being aired on int'l tv must be properly researched. to qualify to be called an efik man, you must hail from cross river state with local government in calabar. pls mo i need you to correct that impression/ information. thanks & keep up d gud work.

That's cool; though something tells me that even those that are "poor" or without jobs, still refuse to collect money. While some who are comfortable and working, feel it is their right to accept payment. It's a personal thing anyway; I respect your choice.

Off-topic, but----I think church band players should be paid!!(I'm talking members, not the outsiders that are hired for programmes, services etc). They should be given a token, esp those known to have a challenge financially. The rich ones can afford to waive it. But no one should judge the musicians for expecting a little something. And using the Bible to "judge" today's Christians can sometimes look really mean.

That's very nice and noble, though I know most band players collect pay, even if they are members of the church. They even get hired to perform at member's weddings and parties. I'm not saying it's good or bad but it's cool that you don't, your reward is doubled I believe.

Gosh I never fancied Jay Z myself . I always felt Beyonce could have done better. Usher and Kanye dey there that time . Okay seriously, a so-called "ugly" guy with self-confidence, charm and nice personality can win even the hottest beauty queen. It's just how they carry themselves and what they have achieved (doesn't have to be money, might be class, good manners, good humour, deep character). In short guys who don't exactly comply with ladies' impression of "handsome" still have a lot to offer in other areas. Depends on what you're looking for.

The thread has veered dangerously off-topic since pg 1, and still it made the home page. Well I'm not a fan of ganging up against one poster but he seems to have met all the challenges so far. I foresaw all this and feel guilty for "encouraging" him at first, knowing deep down that soon the NL juggernauts will showface (sorry, surface).

I can't still believe this. Someone came to my office, cos there is an embassy in my office. He saw me at the door and told me he came to confirm if his visa was authentic. Without even looking at the passport, i took it to the consular officer, cos his secretary was not on seat. He looked at it and said that is a refusal. I went back to meet the applicant, and he said his agent applied for the visa for him after paying a deposit of N150,000.00 upon collection of the visa, he paid the balance.

Guess what the agent told him was his visa: A REFUSAL, and still collected his balance N150,000.00. Na wah oh.

Gosh!!! I think a visa refusal will be drastically different from a granted one, how can anyone mix them up? But truly some don't really look properly at their visa. A friend's brother got to the airport only to be told that his visa was post-dated and he couldn't travel till like two weeks. The boy hadn't even checked the date of the visa but went to book a flight. Then on d day of departure arrived with all his luggage only to return home. I almost fainted laughing when I heard. So I guess anyone could make a mistake.
