A climber nicknamed the real life French Spiderman has scaled the 662ft (202m) Heron Tower in the City of London.
Alain Robert made the illegal (and incredibly dangerous) climb earlier today. Police officers had arrived at 1.37pm but were too late to stop the 56-year-old.

A fire tragedy which happened at a residential building in Cross River state, has claimed the lives of twin brothers, according to report.

It was gathered that the fire outbreak occurred after the mother of twins, simply identified as Mrs. Offiong, allegedly sneaked out of the house by 1:00am to meet her boyfriend last Sunday at the Njahasang area in Calabar Municipal local government area of the state.

It was scooped that the twins, aged 5 were burnt by a fire which resulted from an over burnt candle stick while asleep inside their house when their mother went out to meet her lover.

According to Calabar Reporters, an eyewitness who narrated the story said, “The woman had been leaving her house every night to visit her boyfriend and there was no public power supply.
“She lit a candle stick and left it in the house. Unfortunately, the candle burnt out and the house went aflame. The children were burnt to death.

He further alleged that the woman was in the habit of leaving her house every night to visit numerous male friends adding that when the incident occurred, people were not happy with her.
“I can’t confirm whether she is a single mother or not but what I know of her was that those children were twins, boys and five years each” he stated.

Confirming the story, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Cross River State, DSP Irene Ugbo, said that the incident occurred on Sunday night. “The story we gathered was that she normally leaves her house and slept outside. Sometimes it was alleged she slept with her boy or man friend.

“On that particular night, Sunday, she left her house as usual and lucked the children in with candlelight on when PHED seized the supply.
“The children are twins and five years each – neighbours almost lynched her but Police rescued her. She is in our custody (Police) and her name is Mrs Effiong”, she said.

Florida rapper, XXXTentacion, who was fatally shot and killed in June was awaiting trial for a 2016 domestic abuse case involving his pregnant girlfriend, Geneva Ayala before his death.

Bleep whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy , was charged by the Miami-Dade County state attorney’s office with aggravated battery of a pregnant victim, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness tampering, accusations the alleged victim detailed in a January 2017 deposition. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and maintained his innocence up until his death.

But in a new audio recording obtained by Pitchfork which was secretly recorded by an acquaintance shortly after the rapper's arrest in October 2016, XXXTentacion can be heard admiting to beating up his girlfriend, Geneva Ayala.

“I put my source of happiness in another person, which was a mistake initially, right? But she fell through on every occasion until now. Until I started fucking her up bruh. I started fucking her up because she made one mistake. And from there, the whole cycle went down.
Now she’s scared. That girl is scared for her life. Which I understand.” He did not detail what he had done to the alleged victim. Earlier in the recording, he said, “I will kill that bitch if she play with me.”

He also talked about an incident in Deerfield, where they reported that three people were stabbed, but Bleep admitted that it was actually 'eight people'.
Referencing his girlfriend, he says 'She's seen when I came back from stabbing [victim] in Orlando... no tears on my face, no remorse.'

South African rap star Jabulani Tsambo, popularly known as HHP, attempted suicide 3 times in 2015 before he died yesterday. The cause of his death is shrouded in secrecy, leaving many suspicious that he may have committed suicide.

The veteran hip-hop star opened up during a 2016 interview that 2015 was a tough year for him and he attempted suicide 3 times. He said he was eager to end his life that he turned to an online suicide assist website to get information about suicide methods.

The rapper said the idea of ending his life first entered his thoughts after a therapy session with a professional left him feeling lethargic due to the medication. HHP explained that he also felt that his issues were not really resolved.

He said at the time:

I was thinking while my policies (life insurance) are still active, let me just go out. Fifteen minutes I should be done. An hour and a half later, nothing happens. I'm listening to the song on repeat now. I get out the car. It's time to take the kids to school.

He said he tried again with an older car but still didn't succeed so he turned to the suicide assist website again and it suggested using helium as a way of committing suicide. Ahortly after a fight with his girlfriend, he tried again when she wasn't around, this time with helium, but it still didn't work.

This failed attempt brought about a turning point in the rapper's mind. He said it occurred to him then that if he really wanted to die, he needed to live first, and do all the things he's always wanted to do and has been scared of doing.

Sadly, the rapper passed away on Wednesday afternoon, October 24. The cause of his death has not been revealed.

Shocked that a security guard at the Shrine would treat him like a regular person, Seun angrily slapped and bullied the helpless security guard.

Disaster was quickly averted on Wednesday night, the third day of Felabration 2018, at the VIP/Artiste lounge of the New Afrikan Shrine, when Seun Kuti lost his temper over a staff of the Shrine who disrespected him.

Seun who arrived at the Shrine in the company of a few associates was all shades of good mood but lost his cool when a security guard who later told Showtime that he didn’t recognize Seun, attempted to walk him out because the lounge was strictly for VIPs and artistes.
Obviously shocked that a security guard at the Shrine would treat him like a regular person, Seun angrily slapped and bullied the helpless security guard who was quick to apologize for his mistake.

When Showtime asked why he treated Seun the way he did, the security guard whose facial expression reeked of regret and pain from the slap Seun gave him, said;

“Honestly I did not know that it was Seun Kuti because I do not recognize him. I was only trying to do my job by asking blocking him from entering. I didn’t mean to disrespect him or cause a scene out of my actions.”

A graduate of the Delta State University has climbed on a mast in broad daylight after reportedly running mad. It was a pure drama that took over a community in Delta state recently when a man climbed a mast in broad daylight.

The incident happened yesterday in Ibusa, Delta State. Local reports show that the man who is said to be a graduate of the Delta State University, climbed a mast in the area, startling residents and sparking curious attempts to bring him down.

It was learnt that the man identified as Junior Okohma, recently suffered mental illness. All pleas to make him descend the mast, fell on deaf ears. Even the heavy rain that started couldn’t make him change his mind.

As at the time of this report, his current condition is still unknown.

The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party has sent Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s name to the Independent National Electoral Commission as a senatorial candidate for Kwara central senatorial district in the 2019 general election.

This move comes two weeks after Saraki’s hope of becoming the next president was dashed at the PDP presidential primaries in Port Harcourt on October 7th.

According to Sahara Reporters, Saraki’s name was used to replace the name of one Ope, whose name was initially filed as the PDP candidate for the senatorial district.

A teacher identified as, Michelina Aichele, has been arrested for sending naked selfies and
sexually explicit texts to a teenage student.

According to the police, the 29 year old allegedly told the 17-year-old she fantasised about him while pleasuring herself.
She demanded to know his manhood size in a series of explicit messages, including one that suggested she wanted visual proof.

They said that after the pair made contact through social media things started to take a more sordid turn when Aichele sent messages of a graphic nature, such as nude images.
Authorities said she was arrested on October 5 and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, reports Associated Press.

The pupil alleged that the Montgomery Township High School teacher engaged in sexual conversations with him “through social media sites and email” over several months.

Somerset County prosecutors said the Montgomery Township School District contacted police on October 4.
Montgomery officials declined to comment and a phone number listed in Aichele’s name was not in service. It is unclear whether she has a lawyer.

She is being held in custody at the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing, said the Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson and Montgomery Township police spokesman Thomas Wain.

Police Headquarters in Calabar was turned into a mini-carnival yesterday as investors of a Ponzi scheme turned out to get a glimpse of the scheme operator arrested after raking a billion naira.

Mrs. Lizzy Efa, an operator of Swiss Gold Ponzi scheme, has been arrested by the Nigerian Police at the border between Nigeria and Cameroon in Bakassi, while trying to flee from the country, after raking in about a billion naira.
According to Vanguard, Mrs. Efa was taken to Calabar, the Cross River State capital, as investors are demanding that the matter be transferred to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to avoid bias, because they believe that she has been arrested before and nothing was done.

While speaking to correspondents, one of the investors, a petroleum dealer identified as Justus Austin, disclosed that he has lost N11.6m to the scheme, and called on EFCC to take over the matter from the police, adding that the lady was set free by the police after she was first arrested two months ago.
He said;


“People have invested so much money in the name of Swiss Gold; she is a breakaway from another group. She was initially arrested but the police released her with a promise that she was going to pay after three months.
“They tracked one of the major investors to the Government House on Tuesday with huge funds. She was of one those acting as intermediary to collect money from investors and it was through her that Efa was tracked.

“Meanwhile, we had lodged our petition with the EFCC, over the huge funds we paid into the scheme. My wife and I, for instance mopped about N11.5m from our small businesses and lumped into the scheme.
“The whole of Zone Six Police Command was crowded when they arrested her. The police should hand over the matter to EFCC; otherwise the matter will be spoilt. She raked in over N1bn within three months,”
he said.

Another investor, Clement Icha, said they were tired of the way the matter was earlier handled by the police and would want the EFCC to handle the matter this time for speedy recovery of their capital, which many of them sold the property to raise.


“Many of us borrowed to invest while some sold their property to put in money in scheme; we are not even asking for the profit anymore, she should just return the capital. I am paying the bank N2 million every month to service the loan I got to invest in the scheme,“ he lamented.
When contacted, Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Nelson Ukpabi, confirmed the incident, adding that Mrs. Efa was in their custody and investigation was on going. His words:

”I saw a mammoth crowd yesterday evening and I inquired what was going on. I was told a lady involved in Swiss Gold Ponzi scheme was just arrested and the people, who she did business with were trying to see her. “She will be charged to court as soon as possible, but investigations are ongoing.”

American pastor, Andrew Brunson who was released yesterday after being detained in Turkey for two years, has landed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany.


Brunson is expected to spend a brief time at Ramstein before flying to Washington today where he's expected to meet President Trump.
Brunson had been charged with helping to plot a coup against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

A Turkish court on Friday sentenced Brunson to three years and one month in prison, but chose to release him based on his time already served, as well as his manner during the proceedings, his lawyer said.


Prosecutors were seeking a 10-year jail term. After his release, Brunson quickly left his home in Izmir, Turkey, and headed to the airport. Two US defense officials said the US had put a military aircraft on standby from Europe to transport Brunson out of Turkey. The senior administration source said Brunson's wife flew with him.


Speaking on Friday at a rally in Ohio, President Trump said, "earlier today we secured the release of pastor Andrew Brunson." Bunson, he's "free from jail" and was "in the air" on his way to Germany, where he will undergo a "brief check.

He's coming to Washington, DC, tomorrow and we'll say hello. He went through a lot ... and he's on his way back."

A Taxify Driver, Abiodun Aboderin who was assaulted by people he described as Davido’s boys recounted what led to the incident in an Instagram post.


According to the Taxify Driver, he was assaulted by Davido’s boys yesterday along Lekki-Phase 1, Lagos, all because he was driving ‘too slow for their liking’.

He wrote;

Some things are not just meant to be. I am a taxify driver. I was driving and minding my business along Lekki-phase1 yesterday when I was attacked by some boys which I later confirmed they are Davido’s boys.

He claimed that I was driving too slowly for his liking and I was obstructing his drive. I did not argue with him; neither did I try to insult him. It was totally unprovoked. He gave me a punch on my mouth and I started bleeding. He left the scene.


I have never been that confused in my life! I looked towards the direction he went to. I noticed that he was going towards a house painted in white. I went there so as to get a sensible person to talk to and probably make him apologize. I found out that it was a music studio. But as I was speaking to a man I saw there, the guy came back, saw me and started shouting. Then at the same time, a white Toyota Hilux arrived with about 6 guys.


They beat me to a pulp and broke my bones. They beat me up so much, I could not move my body. They also used their boots to step on me and broke my glasses. Then they chased me out of the place like a common thief. I could not see clearly to drive myself out of the scene due to my glasses. As I am making this complaint, I am at the hospital receiving treatment. I am in pains and I did nothing to deserve this from these guys.


Afterwards, I saw the first guy who started this troubles with Davido at the balcony of the white house. This made me confirm they were Davido’s boys. These guys think they are above the law? The fact that you are associated with a celebrity does not give you the liberty to beat up seemingly law abiding citizens anyhow, just because you can.
This may go unnoticed, but in due course, karma will visit. Kindly share this everyone. This has to stop

Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has said that it is criminal to sponsor people to Hajj and other pilgrimages with government’s funds. He made the assertion at the two-day Northern Nigeria Traditional Leaders Conference on Out-Of-School Children, which ended yesterday in Kaduna.


According to him, any one who takes one kobo to sponsor people for hajj is stealing, insisting: “It is not an act of piety, but we do it all the time.“In 2000, I wrote an article on a government that sent 300 scholars to hajj. We are all malikis’ here. Imam Malik said it is prohibited, unlawful to take money from the treasury to sponsor a poor man who has no money for hajj.”

He also tasked governments to prioritise spending on education, health and development, saying, “This 2018, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources announced that the country spends N1.4 trillion annually on petroleum subsidy for which there is no budget.

“We are spending this amount annually to on petroleum products, but we can give only N100 billion for basic education. How are we going to fix education?Sanusi, who frowned on the increase in number of Out-Of-School children, especially in the Northern part of the country, added: “We have a state in Northwestern Nigeria, where only 184 children sat for the National Ordinary level examination in 2017.

“Only 24 of those children passed in the entire state. Where has all the money gone that is supposed to be spent on education, if you can produce only 24 students in your state? he queried.He further lamented that in that same state, less than 30 children registered for the common entrance examinations this year.
