A man bit a policeman's finger in a horrific attack caught on the officer's bodycam and West Yorkshire Police agreed to release the footage after a request from Examiner Live.

Daniel Brearley assaulted the officer in Huddersfield then hit a friend in the face with a glass as the friend tried to calm him down. He has now been jailed for three years for the assault on the policeman.

The clip released by police shows Brearley under arrest and restrained against a police car screaming obscenities at the two police officers at the scene.

The drunk thug, who had reportedly spat at officers in the past, shouted, "Have I spat?". The officer had his hand on Brearley's face before the suspect suddenly pushes up and bites down on the officer's finger. The court heard the assault caused "immense pain".
Brearley is then pushed to the floor by both officers, while the policeman wearing the bodycam can be heard shouting, "get off him now!"

Brearley, of Old Mill Mews, Elland, pleaded guilty to wounding and assault. He had 36 previous convictions for more than 60 offences on his record and at the time of the two attacks in August he was already subject to two community orders.

Brearley is a Hepatitis C sufferer. The officer he bit said he would have to undergo treatment for three months. The officer is still waiting for the all-clear from blood tests taken after the attack in August, Bradford Crown Court was told.

Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane, has declared that he wishes to be as successful as popular afro-pop musician, Innocent Idibia, a.k.a ‘2Baba' .

According to the ‘Amin crooner who spoke to E-Daily in an exclusive chat, because 2Baba who never accepted that he was a business man is now learning more of the business aspect of music, he also wishes to follow in his footsteps.

“He used to say he is not a business man but now I think he is learning more about the business aspect and I also want to be a business man that is humble, hardworking”,

he said.

Dammy Krane who refused to renew his contract with 2Baba’s Hypertek Music, after the expiration of his contract with the label, dispelled rumors that there was bad blood between him and 2Baba.

“I and 2baba have a great relationship. I have learnt a lot from him”,

he said.

Speaking further, he explained to E-Daily how he reconciled with Wizkid after publicly accusing him of stealing one of his songs, ‘Baba Nla’ in 2016.

“Yes I have forgiven him. We went out and from there we were vibing and things were going fine, from there everything just sealed”

A German lady has accused Super Eagles striker, Henry Onyekuru, of failing to make child support payments for their, Khaleesi.

German newspaper, Bild, reports that the Onyekuru is owing €11,000 in child support payments and has refused to pay up, even after a court ordered him to.

Melissa Krott, the child’s mother, was quoted as saying:

“I met him via Instagram. I thought he was great. At some point we wrote, met. When he found out that I was pregnant, he did not want the child.

Speech was no longer possible. He closed me off everywhere.” Onyekuru is said to have accepted the paternity, but still hasn’t paid up.

Krott added: “

Right after the breakup, he already had a new girlfriend… with whom he also has a child, a little boy.”

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) will tomorrow (Thursday) hold the crucial meeting with the Nigerian government.

Thursday’s meeting is at the invitation of the federal government.

Confirming this development, the president of ASUU, Biodun Ogunyemi, said the lecturers are not optimistic about the outcome of the meeting which he said ”will determine the seriousness of the Nigerian government towards ending the strike.” “The government has invited us for a meeting tomorrow, we are not sure of their seriousness because we have been discussing with them for 16 months without any result,” he said.

On the readiness of the lecturers to call off the strike if tomorrow’s meeting swings in their favour, he said “after the meeting, we will tell members the outcome.
They are the only ones who can decide to call off the strike.”

The official also said he is not concerned about the formation of a parallel union by some aggrieved lecturers, ”who have kept on teaching regardless of the strike order.” Some lecturers at the Obafemi Awolowo University under a rival union, Congress of Nigerian Universities Academics have been teaching despite the strike. “ASUU is the only recognised lecturers’ body, some persons are free to show they are annoyed but truthfully, the strike is on and all lecturers have respected it,” the official said.

He also denied rumours that the lecturers have accepted government’s proposal to set up an education bank, which was one of the reasons they went on strike in the first place. “We have not accepted education banking. We were surprised on reports that we accepted it. It is a means to exploit students and make them pay tuition fee. “Some students do not get jobs even five years after graduation and they will be asked to repay a million naira. That is selling them to slavery totally,” he said.

Other demands of ASUU include improved funding of education and improved teaching and learning conditions in the universities.

Nigerian Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has said the struggle in the country is between good and evil and not between the two major religions.

According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, the VP spoke at a public lecture organised by the Council of Chief of Imams, Ikeja Division in Lagos with the theme “the role of Muslim leaders in the South-West towards achieving peaceful and successful 2019 elections.”

Osinbajo said, “I want to say to you that it’s a battle between good and evil. What we are fighting in this country is a battle between good and evil; it is not a battle between religions. Corruption is our major challenge. The people that steal Nigeria’s resources are both Christians and Muslims.”

He advised the religious leaders to continue to tell their followers to embrace peace and work for the unity of the country. He said prudent management of resources by the current administration had helped it achieve more in terms of infrastructure and development than the previous administrations.

He also said the government had invested heavily in social protection, describing it as the largest in the country’s history and disclosed that the government had spent over N2.7tn on capital expenditure in the last three years, pointing out that it is the highest amount ever spent on capital in the history of Nigeria.

An elderly man identified as Musa Wakatu, today climbed a telecommunication mast at Nicon junction, Maitama, Abuja to protest the alleged encroachment of his land by the American University of Nigeria (AUN) owned by former Vice President and PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Wakatu, who threw leaflets from the mast to the crowd who gathered under the mast, alleged that the former Vice President, through his university, encroached and fenced his landed property at Bajabure in Girei local government area in Yola, Adamawa state, and built structures inside. He said he had protested the encroachment on March 14th 2012 when he climbed a mast at federal high court in Abuja but nothing was done.

His leaflet read

“I wrote a complaint letter to the former IG Mr. Hafiz Ringim and delivered to force headquarters on 5th December 2011 with visitor tag No.054 without any positive result''.

According to Wakatu, he has been detained and harassed by the police for refusing to collect monetary compensation for the land. He said he has sold a house he inherited from his father to pursue the case in court. Wakatu added that he is ready to pursue the case until he recovers his land. He also appealed to Nigerians to donate money to him so he could employ the services of a good lawyer.

As at this moment, Wakatu is still on top of the mast. The police has since arrived and are appealing to him to come down.

Teenage girl who lives in trash site in Lagos gets
A Nigerian woman, Julesville Omalicha on Facebook raised concern on social media over teenage girl who lives in a trash site in Lagos and her viral post got the homeless girl medical attention.

According to her, 'I recently started seeing this little girl, a teenager roaming the streets of Ajegunle. And i will be wondering where she came from, where her parents or guardians are? Thinking of how to help her.

I stopped one day to make friends with her. I brought out 100 naira to give her and see if i can elicit any info from her. But she ran off before i got to where she was standing. Today, i saw her sleeping on a heap of refuse at New road bus stop, Bale street, Ajegunle.

This place is close to St Charles Catholic church and the Local government Chairman's family house. I took the first pic. Then went closer. She is still breathing. I think she is sick'.

Following her outcry, the girl was evacuated by the state emergency team and she's currently responding to treatment.

A toddler battling a rare brain condition has been left with ‘devil horns’ after surgery. Clyne Solano, who’s 22-months-old, suffered from hydranencephaly in the womb which stopped his brain from fully developing.

When he was born in January 2017 in the Philippines, his mother quickly noticed small cracks in his skull.

Surgeons operated on Clyne in March this year to relieve swelling on his brain and the operation was a success.

But the procedure caused his skull to cave in to the holes in his head where the brain tissue was missing.

Since then, the horn-like ridges have become more and more pronounced as his bones continue to grow.

The youngster now needs reconstructive surgery to attempt to return his head to a normal shape.

But his mother Justine is afraid of putting him through another operation in case he is not strong enough to survive.

Despite the severity of the condition, doctors in Pasig City, Philippines have given Clyne a ”good” prognosis for his expected life.

He recently had a separate operation to change the tube in his airways that allows him to breathe by himself.

Clyne is fed by pouring milk and supplements through a second tube going through his nose and into his oesophagus.

Few days ago, we reported about a Nigerian boy who was murdered in a tube station in London.
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of Malcolm Mide-Madariola near Clapham South underground station in London.

The 17-year-old [A], who was arrested on Monday, 5 November, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 7 November.

A second man [B], aged 18, who was also arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, 5 November, has been released on bail until later this month.

A murder investigation was launched on Friday, 2 November after police were called at around 16:35hrs to reports of a stabbing in Balham Hill, outside Clapham South Underground station.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. Malcolm Mide-Madariola, aged 17, was found suffering from a stab wound.

Officers and paramedics gave the boy emergency first aid before he was taken to a south London hospital, where he died a short time later.

Two Nigerian men were arrested on Monday, November, 5, for fighting on the street of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

According to reports, the two Nigerian men alongside one other black man were engaged in a fight when locals called the police. The third man managed to escape while the duo were arrested and sent to immigration department for interrogation.

A young woman has been apprehended by the residents of Abaji area of the federal capital, Abuja, after she reportedly stole some money belonging to a nursing mother.

The young lady who is pictured above on her knees, was reportedly caught at a market in the Abaji area of Abuja after she stole the sum of N22,000 from the woman in the photo seen breast feeding her child.

According to online reports, the money was recovered from her and she was subsequently handed over to the police by the chief of Abaji market.

A mother of one has revealed that her chronic gastro problems and incessant farting left her feeling so embarrassed that it ruined her love life. Emma Frost, 30 from Blackheath, London had suffered with stomach pains since she was just 15 years old.

Emma’s sensitive stomach meant she has suffered from severe bloating and wind after every single meal.
And needing to make urgent dashes to the loo has played havoc on her love life, leaving Emma feeling so anxious that she gave up dating and eating out all together.

She said: “My biggest fear was breaking wind in public but there was nothing I could do about it.

“I’d also have to wear baggy clothes to disguise the inevitable bloat that would follow after I’d eaten.

Unbuttoned jeans are not a good look so I gave up.”

Emma was tested for celiac disease when she first began experiencing stomach pains and loose bowels aged 15.

However, the test came back negative and doctors recommended she cut back on certain foods to see if that made a difference.

Emma has also found that stress only exacerbates her embarrassing symptoms.

When she broke up with her long-term boyfriend and the father of her seven-year-old daughter, Emma’s chronic wind began to worsen.

Emma admits that the emotional stress of the break-up “did seem to make it worse”.

Although Emma wanted to start dating again, the single mum-of-one struggled to cope with the embarrassing side effects of her chronic condition.

Not only was getting back in the dating game “a complete disaster”, Emma says “it was a pretty painful one”.

“I decided it would be easier and less painful to stay single than put myself through it.”

The self-acclaimed leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has once again alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari is an imposter whose real name is Jibrin Aminu Al-Sudani from Sudan.

Giving a reason for his claims, the pro-Biafra activist, who came out of hiding in October after the military invasion of his community in Abia State, southeast Nigeria, last year, said the President’s hands do not look like that of Buhari in 2017.

Captioning two pictures he uploaded on Twitter, Kanu said President Buhari’s hands were shrunk and shrivelled in 2017 compared to that of his alleged imposter.

Kanu wondered why any right-thinking person will believe President Buhari is the same as his alleged imposter. The IPOB leader ended by the saying he weeps for Africa over the matter.

The pro-Biafra activist wrote: “EXPOSING THE IMPOSTOR! Look at his hands, shrunk & shrivelled (late Buhari) now compare to hand on 2nd pic. of younger (Jubril) the fake Buhari in Aso Rock.

“How can any right thinking person believe these two contrasting individuals is the same person. I weep for Africa.”


Meanwhile, the picture in question was when the President returned from his last medical vacation in the United Kingdom, where he said he had never been that sick since his birth.

This is not the first time Kanu will be referring to President Buhari as an imposter. In September 2017 while speaking to his supporters at his residence, Kanu said the Nigerian government hired a look-alike to stand in for President Buhari.

“The man you are looking at on the television is not Buhari, he is from Sudan. After extensive plastic surgery, they brought him back.

”The person was taught Buhari’s mannerisms and he came back deceiving all of you. I can stand and prove who I am but Buhari cannot do the same thing. He cannot deceive Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB,” the IPOB leader had said last year.

A young man identified as Sylvester Sunny Nwodo has raised an alarm concerning the body of a young man found dead in an uncompleted building in Ajah, Lagos state.

On Friday, Hollywood actor and TV presenter Alec Baldwin was arrested in New York for allegedly punching a 49-year-old man in the face during a parking dispute.

The 60-year-old who lives in downtown Manhattan with his second wife and their four young children, was arrested in Greenwich Village.

“Police got a call around 1:30 pm (1730 GMT) regarding an assault in progress. When we got there, we discovered that it looked like two individuals were fighting over a parking spot,” the spokeswoman said.

The younger man had already parked his vehicle and was attempting to purchase a parking ticket, when he got into a dispute with Baldwin, “who then punched him in the face,” the officer said. She said the unnamed man was taken to hospital in “stable” condition, while Baldwin was in custody awaiting charges.

Baldwin is well known for his hot temper and for impersonating Trump on satirical US television show “Saturday Night Live.”

In 2014, he was detained by New York police for riding his bicycle the wrong way down a street. In late 2013, NBC scrapped his late-night chat show after he allegedly subjected a photographer to a homophobic slur outside his apartment on the day that a Canadian actress convicted of stalking him was jailed.

The Police have arrested three persons suspected to be involved in human trafficking in Aba, Abia State. The suspects were accused of trafficking 35 pregnant ladies, six children and one newborn baby.

One of those arrested was said to be the owner of a charity home in Aba. While parading the suspects in Abuja, the deputy Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Csp Aremu Adeniran, said the owner of the charity home situated in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Aba, established the orphanage for the sole purpose of harvesting babies for sale.

Adeniran, further stated that the home had been in existence for about 10 years. He said investigation into the case is ongoing and those found guilty would be made to face the law.

The Togolese cook who was declared wanted by the police in Lagos for allegedly killed his boss , he has been arrested.

The suspect was arrested, this morning, at his hideout in Ondo State and he is currently at Fagun Police station, Ondo.

Chief Ope Bademosi, a socialite and Chairman of Credit Switch Technology, employed the young man as his cook, on Sunday.

He, however, killed him in the early hours of Wednesday, at his residence in #Ikoyi, Lagos, and fled with his valuables. The deceased was reportedly found in a pool of blood, with multiple stab wounds.

“When we got inside, we saw the man in a pool of blood with the volume of music increased to the highest level,” a neighbour said.

In an interview with a homicide investigation officer, a source said: “This is very wicked. In fact, that guy must be a devil itself. He stabbed the man in multiple places. I was the first to enter the apartment.

In fact, the music was so loud that even if you were to be killing 20 people here, no one would hear them scream. After committing the act, the guy went to the toilet and pulled off the white uniform meant for cooks he was wearing because it was all stained with blood.
He also left the knife he used inside the toilet there. If you see the knife, it’s a very strong, long and sharp knife that could only be authorised for military personnel.

Afterward, he ransacked the whole apartment and carted away all valuables he could lay his hands on including an unaccountable sum of money, jewelries and the deceased phone.

What baffles us more is that, no one seems to know anything about him because he was only employed few days ago and brought from Ondo state to resume just this last Sunday. And they only know him by his first name, which is Sunday.”

A married couple who fell to their deaths in Yosemite National Park posted about their lives being ‘worth just one photo’ months before they fell from an 800-foot cliff.

Travel bloggers Vishnu Viswanath, 29, and 30-year old Meenakshi Moorthy died on October 24 after plunging from Taft Point, a granite ledge in the hugely popular California beauty spot.

Their bodies were recovered by park rangers the following morning after tourists spotted an abandoned camera on the unfenced cliff edge and alerted authorities.

Vishnu and Meenakshi, who were both citizens of India and had been living in the United States, ran an Instagram account called ‘Holidays and Happily Ever Afters’.

They frequently uploaded pictures of their travels.
One post, from a trip to the Grand Canyon, was captioned: “A lot of us including yours truly is a fan of daredevilry attempts of standing at the edge of cliffs and skyscrapers, but did you know that wind gusts can be FATAL

The couple died days after another pair’s stunning proposal photo from the same location went viral.

Nigeria's President has been accused of trying to scuttle impeachment lawsuit filed against him by a lawyer.

The applicants that instituted a suit before the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, for an order to compel the National Assembly to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari following some alleged constitutional breaches have accused the President of attempting to scuttle the court process.

The applicants: Mr Kanmi Ajibola, who is also the chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association, Ilesa branch, and a human rights activist, Mr Suleiman Adeniyi said this in Osogbo on Tuesday following the adjournment of the case to November 26, 2018.

The case which came up last on July 4 came up on Tuesday before Justice Maureen Onyetenu but she adjourned it to November 26 following the non-service of the notice of preliminary objection to the applicants by counsel for the President.

The President’s counsel, Mr Solomon Ogunlowo, told the court that he just discovered that the applicants had not been served the notice of preliminary objection to the reliefs being sought by the applicants.

Ogunlowo said other respondents in the case had been served but regretted that the applicants had not been served while requesting an adjournment.

Counsel for the applicants, Mr Samuel Echeonwu and counsel for the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Felix Ukaegbu, did not raise any objection to the adjournment which the judge granted in her ruling.

But speaking with journalists after the court proceedings, the NBA chairman said the non-service of the applicants might have been an attempt to scuttle the court process.

The counsel for the President said the non-service of the applicants was not intentional but was an omission which he said his client regretted.

Instead of spending all their money of a wedding ceremony, @PullMyy_Dreadzz and her hubby decided to pay for her to get an education.

“So yesterday I married my best friend. We were going to have a huge wedding but decided to do something with just us. Instead of a expensive wedding we decided to use the money to put me through school to become a RN. Why invest in a moment when we can invest in our future. #Love,” she revealed.

A freshman at the Afe Babalola University in Ado-Ekiti, engaged one of his lecturers in a fight after he attempted to seize his phone during class.

According to the students, they were having an engineering course, AFE 101, when the lecturer found out the freshman had his phone with him.

He asked for it and when the student did not hand it over, he decided to forcefully take it from him. They struggled for the phone and in the process, exchanged some punches.

The school's management is yet to react to the development.

Two young boys got more than they bargained for as they were severely dealt with after being nabbed following a robbery operation in Delta state.

According to reports, the two thieves identified as ‘Maltina’ and Promise Enaro, had been terrorising residents of Sapele area before they were caught by vigilantes after stealing car batteries from three cars.

After being beaten mercilessly by the security operatives and stripped naked, the young boys confessed that they had been stealing phones, car batteries and other items from residents of the area.

They were pardoned as the vigilante head warned them never to come to that area of risk being killed in the process.

According to reports, five Nigerian women have been arrested at Tarkwah in the Western region of Ghana for trafficking ladies for prostitution in the mining community.

The ladies who are between the ages of 20 and 28 were allegedly lured by their mistresses to come to Ghana only to be pushed into prostitution.

Tarkwa Divisional Crime Officer, Supritendent Kwabena Otuo Acheampong tells Adom News some of the victims reported the incident to the police which led to the arrest of the five women.

Meanwhile one of the victims in an interview on Adom News she has been sleeping with men and gives the money to her mistresses.
She said they were promisd juicy jobs not to be pushed into the sex trade when they arrived in Ghana.
