It seems there are no limits to what people who are madly in love would do for their partners. With several stories of love-motivated grand gestures that are more often than not mesmerizing, it is safe to say love makes people do the craziest things.

The Presidency yesterday lashed Senate President Bukola Saraki for disparaging President Muhammadu Buhari.

Dr Saraki, who defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to seek the presidential ticket of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), described Buhari as lacking the vision and capacity to run the country.

He spoke when he led his presidential campaign team to visit Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson in Yenagoa, the state capital.

The Senate President urged the electorate to replace the APC leadership, which he accused of causing disunity in the country.

But the Presidency fired back at Saraki, describing him as a dangerous and desperate politician who can do anything to achieve his inordinate ambition.

It, however, pleaded with Buhari’s supporters to ignore what it called “Saraki’s crude speeches”.

A statement by presidential spokesman Garba Shehu said: “The Presidency wishes to react to the crude speeches hitting the news from Senator Bukola Saraki who recently joined the Peoples Democratic Party with the sole ambition of running for the president of Nigeria.

“In response to the condemnable and extremely derogatory speeches by the PDP aspirant, we urge all Buhari supporters to display restraint in language and conduct and to always put across their points of view in a decent language.

“Throughout his political career, Senator Saraki has shown that he is a very dangerous person who can go any length to promote his personal interests.

“The language of his campaign is such that cannot be used against a domestic help. Is he just knowing that the President lacked vision? This is someone that the Senator had worked with very closely for more than three years. Amazingly, he never said all that he is now saying against him.

“Rather, his word for and on the President were always respectful and reassuring. That’s the man he called ‘My Father’. About him, ‘there is no cause for alarm…a President who is healthy, witty and himself.’ What then changed, all of a sudden?

“Is he saying these blatantly false and crude things against the President because he is gunning for the same office? Could it be that he is targeting President Buhari because the party he just joined does not have any real issues to highlight?

“Be that as it may, our appeal to our supporters is to ignore Saraki and any such politicians bent on lowering the quality of political discourse. Let them drown in their own waters.”

In his search for support, the Senate President claimed that the country needed a leader of his stature to unite the country and create a sense of belonging through fair distribution of appointments.

He insisted that the country was in need of a young vibrant leader with the capacity to withstand the rigours of governance at all time.

He said governance must be accompanied with the willingness and capacity to give 24 hours attention to the demands of the job.

According to him, the Asian Tigers were respected to have developed their countries because of their painstaking commitment and patience in dealing with issues of governance.

He urged PDP delegates to consider him for the presidential candidacy to make the requisite difference in the governance of the country.

He said: “2019 is a very crucial election for this country; we are at the crossroads as we have never been so disunited as we are today.

“Wherever you go, people ask questions: where do you belong? We need to address the issue of unity in this country; it is time for everybody to have a seat on the table, a time for everyone to have a sense of belonging in this country. It is not about me.

“There is a new order in the world today, wherever we go, we see leaders that have vision, that are ready to develop their countries. A lot of us talked about the Asian Tigers, but they did not come by chance, or trial and error; they became tigers because they have visionary leaders.

“They are leaders that are ready to defend their countries that have an idea of what they want to do. As I keep on saying, you cannot give what you don’t have. Where we are now, we have a leadership that has no vision for us. We must bring visionary leadership to the presidential level so we can move this country forward.”

Dickson said that the time had come for the country to move away from bigotry and leadership founded on sectional superiority.

He called for a country where all could be trusted and appointed into sensitive positions irrespective of ethnicity and religion.

A man’s marriage to his wife of 25 years has crashed after what the court deemed to be crass irresponsibility.

A Kaduna Sharia Court, sitting in Magajin Gari, on Monday dissolved the marriage between Nuhu Usman and Rashida Aminu, over Nuhu’s failure to cater for the family.

The judge, Malam Musa Saad, dissolved the union after listening to both parties and their guardians.



Saad ordered Usman, the respondent, to give N10,000 monthly allowance and a sack of corn monthly to Rashida, the petitioner.

“Based on allowances presented to the court and the respondent not denying the allegations against him, I hereby dissolve the union between Nuhu Usman and Rashida Aminu,” he said.



Rashida had on Sept. 5 told the court that her husband had abandoned her and their nine children for more than a year.

She said her parents had been the ones taking care of her and the children.

“I want this honourable court to dissolve our marriage because of his irresponsible behaviour,’’ she said.

In his response, the respondent said he was a driver that travels inter-states to make ends meet, adding that he sends money at intervals
“I sent N30, 000 to her within the period she filed the case,’’ he said.

Usman who said he still loved his wife, prayed the court to give him more time to reconcile with her.

The judge had earlier requested the presence of the parties’ guardians, while only the petitioner’s guardian, Magaji Audu showed up.

Audu, who stated that he was the one that gave the petitioner out to marriage, explained that Usman had been irresponsible since after the marriage.

”Rashida’s father had given him a car to drive so that he could provide food for his family, but he lost the car”, he said.

According to Audu, Usman in 2003 in writing, agreed to be of good behavior and a responsible husband, after a misunderstanding he had with his wife.



He presented the written agreement to the court, which was shown to Usman.

A final year student couldn’t hold her tears as she married her boyfriend’s corpse after he was killed in an accident.

A teenager who lost her boyfriend when he was hit by a car arranged a wedding and funeral on the same day so she could “marry” him and say goodbye.

The 19-year-old woman from the Philippines, identified only by her first name, Zyrine, wore a white dress to the wedding.



During the early morning ceremony, Zyrine recited her vows and then put on a wedding ring in the service.

Jake, who’d just graduated from university and was planning to take a job abroad, was killed when a wealthy businessman used his car to ram three motorcycles carrying nine people after a row outside a bar on 24 August.



The alleged attacker, Aaron Christian Reyes, had chased after the three motorcycles and smashed into them, killing Jake and injuring the eight other people.

The couple’s families agreed to the wedding and although not legally binding it was sanctioned by the church, who provided a priest.



The bride’s father, Antonio Delmend, also took the opportunity to speak of his daughter’s love for Jake. The couple had been together since high school.

Zyrine is in her final year of university.

Desola Afod, the wife of Nollywood actor, Kunle Afod, caused a major stir on social media some few days ago when she made an outburst on the internet warning actresses to leave her husband, Kunle Afod and allow her and the children enjoy her marriage.

Sharing on social media, the mother of four boys wrote:

“For all the actresses and upcoming actresses that have phyuked with Baba Omiayo, I dare you all to be in the same location with him. Then you will see the relaxed Desola. Just because I have been quiet.”

The actor however was not ready to talk about his wife’s allegation when contacted by Sunday Scoop on his wife’s allegations. He said:

“I’m fine; there is nothing wrong with my marriage. But sorry, I don’t want to talk about it (wife’s outburst). I’m working on set.”
Kunle Afod’s wife allegation however came after the husband made a claim that he has been turning down romantic roles because of his family duties.

This is what he said in the interview:

For a long time, I didn’t accept romantic roles because of my wife. She has been with me for a while and even before we got married, she usually accompanied me to locations, so she knows all that happens there is all make-believe.

Some of my colleagues attended the same secondary school with my wife. Your spouse should be able to ask you questions about your job and you must make sure that it doesn’t break your home. She must know the dynamics of your job.

If I am a doctor for instance and a patient comes in with lumps on her Bosom s and my wife visits me while attending to the patient and she meets the same patient two weeks after in my office, she might begin to think otherwise. Nobody wants to marry a man who won’t succeed in his career, so whatever the profession warrants; you just have to do it.
I thank God for the children he has given me.

Fatherhood is a good thing, especially when your kids are your friends. When you turn yourself into ‘Voltron’ in the midst of your wife and children, there’ll be problems. I pray that my boys grow up faster so that we can hang out together, have discussions and build an empire together.

Nollywood actress Daniella Okeke has finally spoken on the alleged romantic affair between herself and Apostle Suleiman.

The actress who was once accused of having a sexual relationship with married pastor, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, denied such relationship, saying she didn’t respond because her lawyer found out the whole scandal was politically motivated.

Daniella Okeke made this known during a recent interview with Stella Dimoko Korus. When she was asked about the rumour, she said;

At least five people, including a mother and her infant, reportedly dead in North Carolina as Tropical Storm Florence moved from the Tar Heel State into South Carolina.


After coming ashore in North Carolina as a Category 1 hurricane, Florence was downgraded to a tropical storm on Friday afternoon and trudged into South Carolina as night came.


According to reports, two people died in Wilmington after a tree fell on their house, the city's police department said. "WPD can confirm the first two fatalities of Hurricane #Florence in Wilmington. A mother and infant were killed when a tree fell on their house. The father was transported to (New Hanover Regional Medical Center) with injuries" police tweeted on Friday afternoon.


The hospital said it has received three injured patients. In the town of Hampstead, emergency responders going to a call for cardiac arrest on Friday morning found their path blocked by downed trees. When they got to the home, the woman was deceased, Chad McEwen, assistant county manager for Pender County, said.


The fourth person who died was a man in Lenoir County who was hooking up a generator, Gov. Roy Cooper's office said. Another man in the county who was checking on his dogs outside was killed in what his family thought was a wind-related death Friday morning, emergency officials said.

This is a very long read but I plead that you read on to the end. I have also tried to explain as explicit as possible, giving so much information, date and details just to make us all understand the walk, pain and love of a Father for his family.
I was 25 when I met Mandy. Saw her waiting for a cab one lazy Sunday evening in the year 2001. Stopped and gave her a lift to her house and we hit it up from there. I was a young man that made so much money at 25 that I was living on my own with 2 good cars packed outside my one bedroom apartment. I had about 3 girlfriends at the time I met Mandy and they all knew themselves, each one hoping that she will be the last one standing. My Mum never liked Mandy from the first day because she preferred a lady I had dated for about 4 yrs prior to my meeting Mandy.


Mandy was very quiet and beautiful and I imagined having beautiful kids by her. Immediately she came into my life, she gave me an ultimatum that every lady around me must go if she will have to stay with me, and because I loved her I started trying to send them away. A year after I met Mandy, she got pregnant and because I did not want to have kids out of wedlock I decided to marry her.


I called my girlfriends and told them i have decided to marry Mandy and stay faithful henceforth. None of them took it lightly as they were all in my life before she came. Two of them said the same thing on the same day “You are the only one that does not know that this lady does not love you and is here because of your money”. I waved this statement aside sighting jealousy and went on with my thing. Since i had money, in four months we arranged a Traditional Marriage and a Court Wedding with an elaborate reception since our church refused wedding us due to her been pregnant. (Feb.2003)


We moved into a bigger apartment in Cocain Village in Port Harcourt (Nigeria) and started living together. Six months into her pregnancy she told me she needed a house help to help with house chores and we asked her Mum to get us one. I came back from work on day and met a little 2 year old girl at home. I asked her and she told me that this is the house help the mother got for us. A two year old child as house help? What can this one do?


I immediately called her Mum who told me the little girls father is dead, her mother can’t take care of her and does not want her again and we can take her as our child so she can grow with us as a couple and she will also suggest I change her name to my name so that people and even our biological children when we start having them will not know she is not our biological daughter.


I wasn’t happy with it all, but as days went bye I started having love for this little girl. I called the Mum again and told her that we will still need a house help but for this little girl, she will be our first daughter and I am letting her answer my name and will stand as her father till death.
Her Mum was so happy and so was my wife. My family called me stupid but i stuck to my gun and everyone just kept calm and watched from a distance. They insisted we put her in a government free school so she will will have time to serve us at home. But I said NO and immediately registered the little girl in a private school and I can remember paying #55,000 as her first school fees in 2003.


Our first son came in Aug. 2003 and we were very happy. Prior to now, I found out there was this wealthy politician my wife dated before meeting me and i asked her “You are beautiful, calm and well mannered, why did this man not marry you”? Her answer was “He wanted to, but his sisters and mother ganged up against me and said he should not marry me “THAT I AM TOO MONEY CONSCIOUS”. This was the first sign I over looked.


Three years later our second child and daughter came. We had decided to have just two children. Now we had 3 including the little girl GOD brought our way (so i thought). I started becoming troubled when she started asking for money all the time. Buying expensive shoes and cloths. At this point all 3 children were in the same private primary school and fees per term was #90,000 per child. This was in 2007. My finances was stretching as the family was now bigger, my wife never worked and I had to meet up with upkeep of the family, fees for children and her outrageous financial lifestyle.


The first major wake up call for me came when she told me she wanted to start a business of buying and selling and wants to travel to the North to buy Gold to sell and make profit for herself and asked for #500,000. I told her to give me some time to raise the money as I really wanted to encourage her in business too. But she told me there will be no s*x until I give her the money. After two months of no s*x and since I wasn’t ready to go out to get it, I went to a childhood friend to borrow the money with a promise to pay when she returns and sells.


This never came to be as she came back, sold her goods but never returned the money and I was arrested and locked up by this friend. She never visited the police station to see how I was doing in detention, or even bothered about how we could resolve the issue or ever returned the money.


My family raised the money and I was back home. I called her one morning and said “we need to cut down on our spending as these children are now growing and we need the best education for them”. She just looked at me angrily and left the room. I was making so much money but i found out I was not growing, progressing or achieving anything as a man. My expenses in the home most times was more than a million naira per month for just me, her and three kids all less than ten years who mainly eat only Indomie, bread, corn flakes or coco pops.


At this point, the people I was doing business with in Shell where having problems and the contract was not too sure for us again. And I also foresaw a final termination. I looked back and found out I had nothing as savings despite making over 15 million in the last 6 years. Within this period I had bought three cars for her and she had graduated to travelling twice every year to Dubai and Paris to buy things to sell and have never returned the loans i give her for each journey.

S*x was now a weapon to get any amount of money from me. In 2009 we traveled for holiday to Obudu Ranch in Cross Rivers State (Nigeria), on one particular night she was browsing with my laptop and slept off. I woke up and saw her sleeping. I picked up the laptop with the intention of shutting it down, but I noticed her mails were opened. Out of curiosity i checked and found out she has been chatting with one particular guy in London (real name Osarieme) and was asking him how far the papers have gone.


She was asking him to fill a form saying she is a single parent with three children she got out of wedlock and he should insist she has never been married before so visas can be granted them. There was also a place she asked him if he would marry her. I immediately forwarded all messages to my mail and put off the system. I kept quiet so as not to destroy our holiday mood.

When we came back, i confronted her and she only said he was a friend she dated at some time in the university but denied any incriminating message in her mails to him as she immediately deleted all the mails from her box. I got angry because I expected the truth and possibly an explanation as I had the capacity to forgive her of any slip at that time even infidelity.

I angrily reported her to her parents and confronted her again in the presence of her father, mother and her mothers elder brother, she totally denied again but when i brought out the mail from my mail box, her mother knelt down and started begging me that I should please not let anybody see this shameful act and started shouting at her. I did not want an elderly woman begging me on her knees so I said “Mummy, despite the fact that my wife has shown no remorse, for your sake, i will delete these mails, forgive her and never remember it ever happened. So I deleted the mails from my system instantly, a move I regretted later.


Few months to my 36th birthday, she came up with travelling to buy things in Dubai and asked for #1.5m. At this time, there was pressure on my finances and I wasn’t ready to sponsor any trip since monies i brought out for her trips and business since inception were never ever returned, and any explanation ever given. For Gods sake business is not done like this.

Nothing that someone won't hear nowadays..

A controversial pastor who makes his congregation do weird things, is back in the news again for the wrong reason.

The pastor identified as Prophet Rufus Phala, with AK Spiritual Christian Church, Makgodu, Limpopo in the north eastern area of South Africa, gave his members Jik household bleach to drink as a sign of faith during church service on Sunday.

Report has it that the police in Limpopo are investigating the incident after some people were allegedly affected after drinking the bleach.
Sometime ago, the controversial pastor made his church members drink disinfectant, Dettol, in order to get healed..

He instructed his followers to drink the disinfectant, while also acknowledging that it was dangerous to do so.

“I know Dettol is harmful, but God instructed me to use it. I was the first one to drink it,” the pastor said.
He also claimed he has been getting WhatsApp messages from people who say they have been healed by obeying his command of drinking the disinfectant.

APC National chairman, Adams Oshiomole, has fired back at former presidnet Goodluck Jonathan, who in a statement released by his media aide, Ikechuwku Eze, said Oshiomole is under enormous stress and in a fragile psychological state. Jonathan said this while reacting to Oshiomole's claim that vote buying during an election, started in his administration.

In a statement released by his chief Press Secretary, Simon Ebegbulem, Oshiomole said Jonathan is a zoologist from the swamps of Otueke who ran a disastrous presidency. He said it was an all time low for the former president to question Oshiomhole’s mental health in his response.

“If the allegation that the APC national chairman is having psychological issues with the even more specific reference to “multiple personality syndrome,” came from a doctor of human medicine with specialisation in psychology, it could debatably enjoy some merit. But Jonathan is a zoologist from the swamps of Otuoke. This is clearly veering from his turf and unworthy of further debate.

Probably still retaining some remnant of conscience after a disastrous presidency, he was stung when APC national chairman recently correctly accused him specifically and his party of birthing vote-buying and encouraging electoral fraud in Nigeria.

After unseemly name-calling, the former President without even addressing the core points raised by Oshiomhole felt the easier path was to counter-accuse the APC leader with exactly the same damning allegation.” Ebegbulem said

The media aide to Oshiomole insited that the Goodluck Jonathan's administration, initiated vote buying in 2015 elections. He alleged that during the elections in Edo state, the former president injected billions of naira as well as other states of the nation to secure votes for his second term bid which he lost to President Buhari.

An endangered specie of aquatic herbivorous mammal caught by a fisherman at a village in Agboyi Ketu LCDA of Lagos state has been rescued before residents could turn it into food.
Sea Cow Found In Agboyi Ketu LCDA Of Lagos
The residents of a riverine community in the Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, have discovered a manatee, popularly known as sea cow.

While speaking on the big catch, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Dr Olayiwole Onasanya, said immediately the ministry got the information, the state government moved to rescue the huge aquatic herbivorous mammal before residents could turn it to food.

Onasanya said the mammal was caught by the trap set by a fisherman in the area, adding that the government decided to rescue it because it was an endangered animal.

He said, “The mammal is an endangered species which breeds only a single calf once in two years. It is listed by the World Conservation Union as a specie vulnerable to extinction because of its meat, bones, and skin, which can bring wealth to poachers.

“The mammals are in three species of West Indian, West Africa and Amazonia, with the highest population in Guinea-Bissau, the lagoon of Cote d’voire, the southern portions of Niger River in Nigeria and the coastal lagoon of Gabon.”

The permanent secretary added that the manatees measure up to 13 feet with as much weight as 590 kilogrammes, which graze on water plants in tropical seas and consume about 10 to 15 per cent of its body weight in vegetation.

He said the state government was committed to continuous formulation of policies geared towards the preservation of wild animals in order to boost the tourism potential of Lagos, adding that the manatee had been kept safely in the custody of Origin Zoo in the Ikorodu area of the state.

“This animal can be a source of tourist attraction to the state if properly taken care of. To this end, the government has already taken all necessary steps in providing a conducive and habitable environment for the sea cow,” Onasanya said.

The fisherman who trapped the mammal, David Oyenuro, said he was happy that the government rescued and had decided to preserve the animal, and urged the government to continue to support fishermen, saying their fishing implements get damaged when they encounter huge aquatic animals such as the manatee.

Nigerian barbie, Bobrisky has reacted to news of his deportation from the United Kingdom where he was meant to havish his lavish birthday party last night.




According to reports, he was denied entry into the U.K and was briefly held at a detention camp near the Heathrow airport in London after which he was put on a return flight to Lagos that arrived early this morning.


Bobrisky who couldn't post any updates from his trip was said to have been denied entry because his visa doesn’t permit him to work in the U.K, as he is in the country to make money via the event.


In his reaction this morning, he simply wrote, 'In any situation u find urself always still thank God. There's alot to talk about but I just want to sleep and wake up beautiful as usual'.

Few months ago, it was also reported that a man who woke up from a coma after being found unconscious outside a pub, still does not know how he got there two years later.

Now brain damaged after suffering serious injuries, Jason Fisher is none the wiser as to whether he fell, was hit by a car or was attacked, although the 45-year-old thinks the latter is most likely. He was found outside the Tigers Lair pub, in Hull, East Yorkshire, on January 22, 2016. Ever since he has been attempting to piece together exactly what happened.

“It happened around the time of my birthday, I had not been out on a heavy night but I simply don’t remember anything around that time,” he said.
“In fact from Christmas up until waking up in hospital is a total blank.
“Apparently, I was found outside the Tigers Lair. I’m not sure if any CCTV from the time would shed any light on what happened.
“I might have had a couple of drinks but I don’t think I would have been on a big night out. I was on my own at the time so family and friends cannot help.
“I have no idea whether I was assaulted, fell, was hit by a car or had some kind of aneurysm. My dad thinks the trauma was too great for a fall and it does appear I was attacked.”
Having made a significant recovery, Mr Fisher now feels it is time to try and find out what happened.

“It is not fair on my girlfriend as I just keep asking what happened,” he said.

President Buhari has received assurances from the Joint Venture Partners assigned to construct the 3050 Megawatts Mambilla Hydro-electric Power Plant, that all processes leading to the start of work would soon be completed to pave way for the commencement of the project early next year.

At a meeting on Thursday in Beijing with Professor Lyu Ze Xiang, the President of CGCC, the construction company, President Buhari asked to be briefed on time lines for the commencement of work, following his highly successful meeting with the Chinese leader, Xi Jinping.

The Nigerian President, who likened the Mambilla to China’s Three Gorges Dam, said given the significance of the project to Nigeria’s socio-economic development, there was a need for its speedy completion.

“I am very pleased with the concern you have shown for the significance of this project,” he told the head of the construction giant, adding, “I would like you to ensure its speedy completion.”
Xiang informed President Buhari that Nigerian officials and the project consultant would meet in two weeks to address the questions raised by President Xi for more detailed and updated feasibility and sustainability studies. He said a team had already been set up to work on the financing aspect.

“We fully understand the importance of this project to the economic and social wellbeing of Nigeria. In two weeks, we will sit down with the parties for the economic and sustainability analysis. It would take about four weeks to conclude the update,” he assured.

According to the lead contractor, “pre-commencement work,” would thereafter begin, dealing with access to site and putting in place the necessary support infrastructure such as power, water and transportation. “Our target is to commence the project early next year, ” he told President Buhari shortly before the Nigerian leader’s departure at the conclusion of his six-day official trip to China.
