poiZon:Do you know how much will feed a cow for 2 years in a ranch ?? Compare it to a nomadic free grazing cow ?? |
Payment for my great grandfather that was captured in Nigeria and made to pick cotton as a slave in American plantation. 5 million dollars is the intial deposit, you still owe my family 100 million more. Sope otilo. |
Dont forget, karma is not dead. |
TINUBU IS STILL PAYING SUBSIDY. THE CORRUPTION HE WAS HOPING TO CURB BY REMOVING SUBSIDIES IS ALIVE AND STRONG. THE PEOPLE BUYING THE PETROL ARE STILL PADDING THE PETROL BUDGET THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS STILL DISCOUNTING THE ACTUAL COST. TINUBU GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE TRANSPARENT TO NIGERIANS. TELL THEM THE TRUTH ON SUBSIDY PAYMENT.

Removing the Beef subsidy Potential Impact on Beef Prices Implementing large-scale ranching could significantly increase the cost of beef due to the high expenses associated with establishing and maintaining ranches. These would make Nigerian cows too expensive for purchase as cows from Niger and other neighboring countries practicing open grazing will be cheaper in the open market. Suggested Practical Solutions Designated Grazing Areas: Allocate specific areas for grazing to prevent clashes while allowing pastoralists to continue traditional herding methods. Conflict Resolution Mechanisms: Establish local committees to mediate disputes between farmers and herders, promoting peaceful coexistence. Cooperative Farming: Encourage farmers and herders to form cooperatives, sharing resources and knowledge to improve productivity and harmony. Community-Based Animal Health Services: Provide mobile veterinary services to support herders, reducing the need for long migrations and potential conflicts. These solutions aim to be cost-effective and fair to both cattle herders and farmers, ensuring sustainable practices and reducing conflicts. The Southeast is allowed to ply their trade and open spare parts shop in katsina The Southwest is holding Aso-rock Office in Abuja The South-south is FCT Minister in Abuja Why cant the northern Fulani man feed his cow in the south ? Lets be tolerant and restructure designated cattle grazing areas in every state to accommodate everybody.

As of 2023, the estimated number of homeless people in the United States is approximately 653,100. This represents a significant increase of about 12% from the previous year, marking the highest number since such data collection began in 2007. This figure includes both sheltered and unsheltered individuals, with 60% of them staying in shelters and the remaining 40% living in places not meant for human habitation (USAFacts) (National Low Income Housing Coalition). This increase in homelessness can be attributed to several factors, including the expiration of pandemic-era protections and resources, the ongoing affordable housing crisis, and changes in the rental housing market. The data indicates that homelessness affects a diverse range of populations, with notable increases among families, veterans, and people identifying as Black, Hispanic, or Latino (USAFacts) (National Low Income Housing Coalition). For more detailed information, you can refer to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the National Low Income Housing Coalition. Before you JAPA, there are more chances you will be homeless in America than anywhere in Africa. |
jamesversion:Good points. World is changing, anyone that tries to imply you as a slave or anything close to that and you let them go Scot free in this century. Blame your self. 1n 2024 no human wants to be owned by any other human. Its freedom or death. No in between. Thats why only solution is 2 state solutions. |
He needs to learn and use the word "Phase" Subsidy should have been coming down while wages were slowly going up. Interest rates should have risen faster then they are. Forex was done right because any other way cronyism and the oligarchs would have taken advantage. Not all policies are light switches, some of them are dials, you turn the dial and watch the reaction of the crowd. Remember the frog and hot water story. Put one frog in already boiling water Put second frog in room temperature water and then turn up the heat slowly....You can cook this frog without it knowing. Tinubu's approach to everything is just throwing Nigerians(frogs) into hot boiling water with every policy. |
ISREAL out to kill everybody. You all seem to have forgotten when the NBA Owner of LA clippers a Jewish billionaire said he doesn't want to be seen around black people. He said even black Jews were not "regarded" in Israel. Too many Gen Z's on nairaland.

EFCC ONLY HARASSING POOR PEOPLE. WHY DIDNT YOU GET YAHYA BELLO TO CARRY THIS CARDBOARD. |
I am sorry to tell you, do not pay those increased wages, Increasing wages in this scenario now, will result in hyper inflation.(Zimbabwe style) The farmers will increase the prices of food stuff telling the salary earners....dont you get paid more ![]() Beg the NLC, Reintroduce the petrol subsidy, Issue refinery licenses to capable individuals with instructions to have it running in a year or forfeit the licenses. Tell the NLC wages will be increased gradually 10000 naira every quarter While the senators and house of reps get a decrease of 100,000 naira every quarter. These will appease the citizens. While all these is at work, prioritize fuel at a cheaper cost. The country runs on fuel. OR Just revert back to old fuel prices and keep the same wages (Personally i think this is the best move) |
jayce232:You are very right !! The president walked into a trap. He might go down on record as the worst president in Nigeria's history because once the inflation goes out of control. It will be too late to reduce wages. |
Thats a crater, if it hurts when you drink cold water or hot water . The tooth has to go. How do you cope with the bad breath odor ? |
Tinubu in case you haven't realized it. Your presidency was a planned "one chance" There is no escaping this. Where are you going to get money to pay increased wages ? Pay Petrol subsidies ? Pay Forex subsidies ? Which is cheaper to pay Fuel Subsidy or Increased wages ? Which do you control ? Which do the sub-nationals control ? |
jayce232:Tinubu was tricked. This was all planned all along. He was handed a Greek gift (The presidency). Now his whole budget is useless. Oil prices are stagnant. Oil quota is pegged by OPEC+ Loans interests will be higher if he goes back to creditors. Only way out of this mess is to re-subsidize petrol. Build other refineries, OPEC Quota is for Crude oil, not refined petrol. Lets use our own crude to get petrol locally and keep the prices down. We will still be within OPEC compliances Get a trust-able team to be in charge of funds. Increasing the minimum wage, i am sorry to say, will worsen everything. The USA used subsidies and higher interests rates to tame inflation. The actually paid less during these times by making people work more. |
Those who advised the president to remove the oil and forex subsidy tricked the president. Even USA subsidizes oil by using their SPR. They have played the so called smart man a trick. Now you have to use all that money you have saved from the subsidies. You have to hand it over to the state governors to pay salaries. When Nigeria paid subsidy, the funds were controlled at the federal level. Now all the states can now have access to a crazy amount of money in the name of salary payment. In a country where there is no real statistics on the actual amount of workers in any state. The president is about to use the next 8 years handing over the treasury to the sub-nationals and just be a figure head..........lol You have been played Mr President. You are now not only subsidizing oil and Forex(Everybody knows its still subsidized, Its still less than world prices). You are also paying out all the treasury to sub-nationals

Oil business is the new bride now. Especially the day Ukraine will bomb refineries in Russia Or the day Iran will close the strait of homurz All these could potentially 10x any investment in the oil sector. |
gidgiddy:Okay turn the wife to side chick. You can still leave if you want to leave, stop enjoying the benefits and just leave ! Put up a real fight to leave. Form one political party in the whole southeast and vote with one voice. Elect all your senators and house of rep from that party, vote en bloc and en masse. Then come to Abuja and get a referendum to leave. Dont just come on social media and disturb everyone, we want to leave, we want to leave....The door is wide open.....lol. |
gidgiddy: You are like a wife begging for divorce but looks forward to the steamy sex every night and wakes up in the morning, telling her husband to divorce her.....lol Leave if you want to leave. |
Wearing a fur coat in Summer. |
gidgiddy:LOL...you are already making a case to remain in Nigeria. You think anyone is enjoying Nigeria right now ? Fuel tripled, dollar tripled !! You still didnt leave......lol When will you leave.....Even is fuel is 5000naira per litre and dollar is 3000naira, you will still be here on nairaland making noise. The person that wants to leave does not make noise, over 40 years...na so so noise !!! Na shakara all of una dey do.....when you are serious, leave !! We wont beg you. |
gidgiddy:If you are serious about going your own way: 1-Stop collecting FAAC allocation from Federal government. 2-Tell all Igbo people to leave every other part of Nigeria and go back to biafra land. 3-Tell all Igbo business men to stop serving Nigerian customers and collecting their monies. 4-Tell all igbo men with Oil licenses to surrender their licenses Do all of these for 1 year and you can go your way. Stop shouting you want to go your way and be eating from the country. We are tired of all these fake talk !!! |
Khyrvxjzy:Airplanes can be leased with insurance. Allen Onyeama doesn't own all the aircraft outright. Even British airways doesn't own all its aircraft outright. Secondly Onyeama is the face of Airpeace, but in the business world that doesn't mean he is the owner. Cheers. |
The people who benefit from Nigeria not working are powerful people. The people we are renting the shop from for 4 million are powerful people. They know with this chaotic government their wealth is secured and guaranteed. The stakeholders are not complaining, only the common peasant suffers. There are Nigerians without jobs or in active politics or own businesses that only travel in private jet. They are paid directly from the treasury, oil sales and proceeds.....No question asked !! |
Government should do the needful to this guy. Lets move on as a country. Everybody knows the world is a better place without anarchist like this guy. |
HomoDroid:In Nigeria, the issue of livable wages is paramount. It’s unacceptable to pay someone 30,000 naira when the cost of basic necessities like food and rent is 100,000 naira per month. This disparity underscores a significant failure in government responsibility. The government must either curb inflation, increase wages, or subsidize living costs. Neglecting to address these issues is grossly irresponsible. President Tinubu’s removal of subsidies on oil, foreign exchange, and electricity tariffs might have been executed with boldness, but he now needs to ensure Nigerians can afford to live through these changes. Even if there are long-term improvements planned, people need immediate financial support to survive and witness these benefits. To quote the ancient philosopher Aristotle: "Poverty is the parent of revolution and crime." This highlights the critical need for government action in ensuring economic stability and fair wages to prevent societal unrest. By focusing on the immediate needs of the people, the government can foster a more resilient and prosperous society. |
Surah An-Nisa (Chapter 4), Verse 58: "Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever Hearing and Seeing." MURIC calm down, this one we are fighting for is food. You either join us or shut up !!!

AllKnowing:Thats way off point. No one is comparing ivy-league education with income. Some Baristas in Starbucks selling coffee have degrees. My post was not for the perspicacity-challenged. |
Donaldoni: Are you saying some states have not even paid the 30k ? This is serious, what can 30k do ? |
Kwaramustgoodag: To increase subsidy, u don't stress urself. U just announced during speech on ur swearing in as a president. U increased price of everything without stress and masses trying to cope. National assembly, and VP got billions of naira to renovate and buy cars, without stress. Ur and ur VP spent 8.6billions within just few months for traveling, no stress. Now, to increase minimum wages, u now turned their representatives to errands boys and girls with different meetings upon meetings and offering them just 60k. What for? They broke down how they came up with the 615k, then u also should break down how u reached the 60k and let everyone hear. Very smart analysis. 60k Is it for Eba ? |
60K Minimum wage ?? Is it for Eba ? |
