When it comes to blacks and how they are treated, the Arabs cannot be exonerated. Even as late as 1967, blacks were still sold in slave markets in Saudi Arabia, decades after the abolition of slavery.

How you keep yourself is exactly how you will be regarded. Blacks are underachievers in almost every human field of endeavour. Coupled with the slave history, other races see as the lowest in human strata. And sincerely, we aren't putting enough effort to change the narrative.

Even increasing minimum wage is never solving anything if fuel price is not brought down. It will further trigger inflation & render our currency completely useless. Once workers start earning 400k for example, a bag of water will be selling for 10k, that is how bad it can get. What about those in the private sector? I don't know who is advising this govt.

The subsidy removal affected the economy badly & brought about all these. I'm very confident till this govt leave power, removing subsidy was the biggest mistake they will make. Funny thing is they are now going to be paying higher money on salaries as compared to what was paid on subsidy. Now only govt workers will enjoy this minimum wage as compared to subsidy that covered everyone. Subsidy removal was a very wrong decision.

And how many of this did you as a Nigerian have to do before Britain granted you your independence? Did all Nigerians in Britain at the time have to leave Britain? Do you know that Nigerians are still trooping to Britain in their thousands to this day? Before you start talking about people going back home, you must first grant them their independence, not ask them to go back while still practicing your useless 'one Nigeria' that has been a disaster

It's only a mischievous person that compares a flock of chicken to a cob of maize! Why compare NASS Budget to Minimum wage and not to Govt Wage Bill or Human Resource Cost? Is NASS Budget made up of only Salaries of Lawmakers?

Another issue is why compare even the salary of Lawmakers to that of Entry Level Civil Servants? Many people erroneously think that minimum wage is maximum wage. It will shock them that the consequential adjustments up the Civil Service Cadre will make the Salaries of DGs and Perm Secs overtake that of the President or Senators, if granted as Labour wants, then the Law makers will simply make a Law for the Adjustment of their own packages in line with the new minimum Wage structure. It is a simply protocol called 'indexing'
