Its the opposite in Nigeria, The workers salary is used to pay the politicians more.

Who else has noticed the timing of all these Kano Emirate tussles? Just as Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu marks one year in office, with very little progress to show and no relief for the common man from his numerous policies, suddenly, multiple dramas have emerged: Sanusi versus Ado Bayero featuring Abba Soyinka versus Peter Obi featuring Reno NIGERIANS, DO NOT BE DISTRACTED!! IT'S ALL A PLOY. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should come out and tell us why Nigerians are still suffering despite all the policies he has implemented. |

The first solution is identifying the problem. Which you have done ! If you were a successful fraudster in the past, you certainly have skills, because a stupid person cannot do fraud. You have to identify what you are good at. Put your Ego aside, you wont make fraud money working legit. Start slow and build.......you never know what the future has for you. Most importantly stay off drugs. No matter how small. Pick up exercising as a hobby to take your mind away from drugs. Cut off all your friends that are into drugs of any kind, because they will end up like you are now eventually. Goodluck my friend. |
Intellab:Could they have mixed antibiotics in the water ? |
wiseoneking: Some of us don't rely on another human being for food. |
SpecialAdviser:The word is Fool. School na scam, school na scam Now you need a translator on nairaland. Now you don't know the difference between full and fool |
CorrectionFLuid: You did not understand my last post. But thats okay. I am not of the opinion every northerner is boko haram. Same way i am not of the opinion every Palestinian is Hamas I am not of the opinion women and babies are Hamas ISREAL NEEDS TO STOP KILLING WOMEN AND BABIES BECAUSE THEY ARE TRYING TO KILL HAMAS. THEY ARE DOING THE SAME THING THEY ACCUSED HAMAS OF DOING, ON A LARGER SCALE ! |
Smartcitizen:God, is that you ? |
Asiwaju is smarter than Ganduje Let Kano people decide, that is the meaning of democracy. Asiwaju is not even from kano Asiwaju is a politician not a monarch Asiwaju needs votes in 2027 from Kano State Even Ganduje waited to win his second term before dethroning Sanusi Now tell me, If your name is Asiwaju will you intervene inside this matter ?? |
cjfavour:Excuse me ? Did you read it ? Do you need a translator ? |
CorrectionFLuid:Hamas has to be eliminated completely is akin to saying boko haram has to be eliminated completely (By killing everybody in the north) Or going to the southeast and saying Unknown gunmen have to be eliminated completely (By killing every Igbo person ) These are ideologies and resistance fighters just like Hamas is. Are there acts of terrorism ? Yes, there probably is, on both sides !!! But just the same way you cannot think killing everybody in the north has to die for boko haram, Same way everybody in the Southeast cannot die for unknown gunmen. Thats the same way all the Palestinians do not have to die for Hamas. We have to pursue peaceful conflict resolutions as well, even in a war. |
Adeboye cant heal anyone. Disease is a scientific process. Stop conning people with spiritual bullsh*t Nigerians are so gullible. |
Chicken Change. |
Nigeria should have solved Malaria and mosquito by now. But we are still grappling with the looters and corrupt politicians. |
That was unnecessary. |
smokinloud:You are comparing apples and oranges. Nnamdi kanu is a Nigerian, he can be detained in Nigeria without bail. Israel does not have the right to detain a Palestinian without bail, there are not isrealis, they have a different passport you have to charge them to court and try them stating offense committed. Same way Nigeria cannot detain a Cameroonian or a Ghanaian without bail. There is something called due process. You might want o educate yourself on international detention. Most cases you have to be charged within 24 hours. |
CorrectionFLuid:Not undermining the number of deaths, far from it but killing 40,000 people in return is not a strategy. I condemn deaths on both sides. The killing has to stop. There are terrorists on both sides. Before October 7th there are Jails in isreal filled with Palestinians, not even allowed to go to trial. Just locked up and some killed extra judicially. This is all before Oct 7th. |
Konquest:The reporter quoted him , he probably did not feel accountable to the reporter forgetting he is a public officer. The impunity some of these people have forgetting they are there to serve the public and thus accountable to them. He could have been more diplomatic in his answer but he chose an outright lie. That's just unethical and dubious of him. |
EDO NO BE LAGOS EDO NO BE KANO |
positivelord:They should retaliate, no problem. But give them back their land. Let everybody have their state !! Nigeria is next to Benin republic. What do you think will happen if Benin republic people move to Lagos and start appointing Governors, judges and police while they are just visitors to Lagos. Lets face it, they cant kill everybody everybody in Palestine, they are not any safer than before the October 7th attack because of all the people killed. This is not a problem war will solve. They have to Give everybody their state and then have boundaries and everybody goes their own way !! |
The misguided are trying to force it as a religious war. Its isreal versus Hamas There are Arabic jews There are Palestinian Christians There are arab jews There are Palestinian jews There christian Israelis. There are Arab Christians But to the very ignorant people on Nairaland who lack exposure and awareness, they think its a religious war. Forgetting that nearly all African countries had to fight off their colonizers at one time. In an American state called New Hampshire their motto is "Live free or Die" If you try to colonize me, i don't care if you are christian, Muslim,Jewish or traditional worshiper....There will be no peace till you live me alone. If i slap you first and to seek revenge you come to my house and shoot and kill my parents,my siblings,my children all my neighbors !! Just because i slapped you for taking my land. You probably were a murderer even before i slapped you. Palestine is fighting off colonizers and trying to achieve its own independent state. |
The International Criminal Court (ICC), established to bring justice to the world's worst criminals, has a controversial track record, particularly when it comes to its actions in Africa versus the West. Justice for Africa: Names and Times The ICC has pursued several high-profile cases in Africa, often bringing justice to regions plagued by war crimes and crimes against humanity. Thomas Lubanga (2006): The Congolese warlord was the first person ever convicted by the ICC for enlisting and conscripting child soldiers. His arrest and subsequent 14-year sentence in 2012 were hailed as a milestone in international justice. Jean-Pierre Bemba (2008): Another Congolese leader, Bemba, was charged with crimes against humanity and war crimes, including murder, rape, and pillaging. In 2016, he was sentenced to 18 years in prison, though his conviction was controversially overturned on appeal in 2018. Laurent Gbagbo (2011): The former President of Côte d'Ivoire was arrested and tried for crimes against humanity following the post-election violence of 2010-2011. Despite his eventual acquittal in 2019, his case underscored the ICC's focus on African leaders. The West's Immunity: A Tale of Injustice While the ICC has been swift and decisive in prosecuting Africans, its efforts against Western leaders have been tepid and ineffective. Tony Blair and George W. Bush (2003): Calls for the prosecution of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and former U.S. President George W. Bush for their roles in the Iraq War have been persistent. Critics argue that the invasion was based on false premises and led to mass civilian casualties, yet the ICC has never opened formal investigations against them. NATO Airstrikes in Libya (2011): Allegations of war crimes during NATO's intervention in Libya, which included the deaths of civilians, have been largely ignored by the ICC. Despite substantial evidence and numerous appeals, the Court has not pursued any charges. The Double Standard: A Suspenseful Reality The ICC's selective justice has sparked accusations of bias and hypocrisy. While African leaders are brought to trial, Western figures seem shielded from prosecution. This double standard raises questions about the true power dynamics at play. Why does the ICC act decisively against some while appearing to cower before others? The suspense lies in the geopolitics and influence that shape international justice. The ICC's actions—or inactions—reflect a world where power often trumps justice, leaving many to wonder if true international fairness will ever be achieved. |
Emir of Kano. Ganduje's tenure as governor of Kano was marked by controversy, especially his decision to dethrone Sanusi Lamido II and split the Kano Emirate into several smaller emirates: Sanusi Lamido II openly criticized Ganduje while they were both in power. In retaliation, Ganduje used his authority to dethrone Sanusi and carve up his kingdom—a move reminiscent of medieval power struggles. This was a blatant abuse of power by Ganduje, who has shown himself to be a narcissist willing to go to any lengths to protect his own interests, even if it means causing significant damage. He seems willing to "burn the house down" just to deflect blame from himself. It's evident from Ganduje's actions that he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. This is the same man caught on video accepting bribes and responsible for creating chaos in a 200-year-old emirate. His past actions speak volumes about his character. Now, it's time to undo the damage. The fake emirates should be merged back into the original Kano Emirate, and HRH Sanusi Lamido II should be reinstated as the rightful heir to the throne. Asiwaju, be wary of Ganduje. He has a history of betrayal and could sell you out to further his own ambitions. His past behavior is a clear indicator of his true nature. Ganduje should face the consequences of his actions. He has made others suffer; now it's his turn to face the music. |
THIS MINISTER SHOULD BE FIRED FOR LYING TO NIGERIANS PUBLICLY.THIS IS DECEPTION AND BREACH OF PUBLIC TRUST THE FIRST AND SECOND SHIPMENT HAS BEEN DELIVERED. HE IS STATING THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT AWARE OR IN CONTROL OF THE BORDERS OF THE COUNTRY !! A second shipment of U.S. light sweet crude oil is on its way to Nigeria, according to a trader and ship tracking data. The Dangote refinery is increasing its crude oil purchases. The vessel Otis, carrying about 850,000 barrels of WTI Midland crude oil, left Houston last week and is headed for Lekki, Nigeria. According to tracking services Kpler and LSEG, it is expected to arrive around mid-March. The vessel was chartered by Vitol, a major energy and commodities company. Earlier, the first shipment of 2 million barrels of U.S. crude on the large vessel Gem No. 1, also chartered by Vitol, was nearing Nigeria and is expected to arrive next week. The Dangote refinery, Africa's largest with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, is located on a peninsula near Lagos, built by Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote. The refinery started purchasing crude oil in December last year, with Nigeria's state-owned oil company, NNPC Ltd, being the main supplier. Recently, the refinery issued tenders to sell two fuel cargoes for export, according to a tender document and trading sources. In summary, Aliko Dangote’s refinery is now importing crude oil from the USA to meet its processing needs, marking a significant step in Nigeria's oil industry.

Asiwaju, Revolutionize Nigeria's oil industry and ensure that all citizens benefit, we should consider privatizing the midstream sector—the part that handles transportation of oil from point A to point B. Here’s how this can work: Privatize the Midstream Sector: By privatizing the transportation part of the oil industry, we can ensure a steady revenue stream. This sector will operate on a contractual basis, earning money by moving oil from upstream producers (those who extract oil) to downstream businesses (those who refine and sell oil products). Elites already Control of OML and OPL: Allow the elites to manage the Oil Mining Leases (OML) and Oil Prospecting Licenses (OPL). This will ensure efficient and specialized management of the oil extraction process. Public Investment and Dividends: Enable ordinary Nigerians to invest in the midstream sector. By owning shares, citizens can receive dividends, which are regular payments from the profits. This means the wealth generated by our oil resources can be distributed more evenly among the population. Reduce Insecurity and Corruption: When the pipelines are owned by the people, there will be less vandalization and corruption. Everyone will have a stake in ensuring the security and efficiency of the oil transportation network. Successful Models: We can look at successful examples from around the world like Energy Transfer (ET), Enterprise Products Partners (EPD), Kinder Morgan (KMI), and Enbridge. These companies have shown that a privatized midstream sector can be highly profitable and efficient. By adopting this approach, we can improve wealth distribution, reduce corruption and insecurity, and ensure that every Nigerian benefits from our country’s rich oil resources. |
