peleson1:Greatest of the greatest. |
Racist white people, they didn't do a proper background check because he was a white man. If he were to be a black man, they would ask for his grandmothers first boyfriend name ? The name of his neighbors when he was 2 years old. The color of the car of his great grandmother. Even after all that, they will still find a reason not to hire him. |
Bmaster: When you want to stop a dangerous threat, you neutralize its leadership, dealing with the head removes the capacity for the harm to regenerate. Targeting the peripheral actors alone only treats symptoms; the problem grows back. In that light, incarcerating Nnamdi Kanu was a defensible decision. If his campaign relied on incitement from abroad rather than democratic engagement at home, then removing the central instigator reduced immediate violence and protected ordinary citizens. That said, a better long-term path would have been for Kanu to pursue his agenda through democratic channels: meet with senators and governors, build lawful coalitions, and press his case within Nigeria’s political institutions. Holding a state hostage from abroad is not the way to win enduring legitimacy. |
Bmaster:Where were you when the Southeast descended into chaos — when people had to hire MOPOL to protect their own ancestral homes? And not from outsiders, but from fellow Igbo men, turning the region into a nightmare of kidnappings, assassinations, and fear. No government anywhere in the world would sit idly by while a single man, comfortably abroad with his family in London, incites unrest and violence at home. It’s sheer madness to expect that. And where was the proof when Nnamdi Kanu went on international media claiming that President Buhari had been cloned and replaced? None of that ever stood up to scrutiny. Now people demand evidence for everything else, yet conveniently forget those reckless, baseless claims that helped ignite tension and bloodshed. Let’s be honest, in the end, those who blindly followed that chaos ended up miserable and unfortunate, while the man who started it all was living safely thousands of miles away, till he was captured and made to answer for his shenanigans

DomPerignon: I completely agree with you. While many people deeply believe in Nnamdi Kanu, just as Peter Obi has become a sort of folklore hero, that’s not the path toward meaningful progress. In today’s Nigeria, what truly counts is numbers and unified political strength. Look at what the Southwest did when they grew tired of being marginalized, they consolidated under one strong political bloc, used it strategically, and bargained their way to power. That’s precisely what the Southeast needs: a unified political front that commands national relevance, not scattered loyalty to personalities or emotional causes. Right now, as many Southeast politicians defect to the APC, they’re surrendering their independent voice. Once inside, their stance will inevitably align with party dictates, silencing any genuine regional advocacy. Ironically, this move weakens the separatist argument even further. In the end, the real power brokers from the Southeast will sacrifice Kanu’s cause to secure national influence. It’s already happening, the pursuit of power has overshadowed any ideological commitment, leaving the separatist movement isolated and politically irrelevant. |
Greatest of the greatest Akokite. |
DomPerignon: If they really support him. I want to see him contest and win governorship in his state as an independent. Or they should make him the kingmaker in the whole southeast. That is what i call support. |
A woman who commits such an act should not simply be released back into society. In more rigorous legal systems, she would be subjected to thorough psychological assessment and psychiatric evaluation. She ought to undergo mental health rehabilitation, because stabbing one’s spouse to death is not normal behavior ,it strongly suggests latent psychiatric issues, which, unfortunately, are often ignored or stigmatized in Nigeria. Families frequently conceal mental health problems for fear of being labeled “crazy.” The presidential handlers who approved her pardon performed very poorly. Even if the father of the deceased boy publicly claims to have forgiven her, there is no guarantee she won’t commit violence again. Presidential pardons can be controversial, but this one truly stretches credibility. |
I firmly believe Nnamdi Kanu should not be released. He has been actively profiteering from efforts that destabilize Nigeria. Much of the security operations and clean-up in the South East under Buhari and Tinubu were largely triggered by the unrest he helped orchestrate. Protesting is one thing, but hiding in London with your family while sponsoring civil unrest back home crosses into the realm of terrorism. Reports suggest he traveled internationally raising funds to engineer instability in the South East. Many of his mercenaries, deprived of other means of support, turned to kidnapping and contract killings to survive. Kanu represents a significant threat to Nigerians as a whole. He lacks widespread grassroots support, commanding only a small faction of anarchists, and therefore does not have the legitimacy or popular backing to justify release. For the safety and stability of the nation, he should remain in custody. I might offend some people by saying this, but Kanu is not the solution. We already have a democracy. Any grievance can be handled democratically not by an anarchist 5th columnist. |
It seems the government has been channeling most of its energy toward courting the opposition, rather than fulfilling its campaign promises of creating jobs for Nigerian citizens. But then again, why bother creating jobs when it’s easier to lure opposition members to decamp? After all, if the electorate is eventually left with only one viable political choice — the APC — then there’s really no incentive to deliver on promises or improve governance. The voters would have nowhere else to turn.

sweetkev:Yes. |
jaxxy: Everyone has spoken their truth, I’m simply stating mine, whether you like it or not. The Tories have also spoken theirs, whether she likes it or not. Her duty was to protect the British people, yet for some reason, the public seems to believe they would be safer with her out of the picture. |
jaxxy:People who live their own truths to keep telling other people truths are not usually liked. |
He wants to fly abroad for treatment like Buhari and Jagaban ? |
correctguy101:Read the post again, it’s plain English and it says more than half. Don’t pretend you didn’t understand. If you abuse Nigeria or Nigerians, you’ve offended me. Anywhere I find you, even online, I’ll hold you to account. Gbas‑gbos don start: I’ll call you out, expose the lies, and make sure everyone sees it. |
sammiewrite: Kemi Badenoch spends her time lecturing Nigerians while staying silent on the very issues her own country faces. She has said nothing about the UK’s crushing cost-of-living crisis, rampant food insecurity, police misconduct, rising hate crimes, the NHS collapse, skyrocketing rents and homelessness, racial discrimination, mental health epidemics, environmental disasters, or digital privacy violations. Yet she assumes moral authority to shame Nigeria. Her words expose more about her selective outrage than about any failing abroad, she attacks Nigeria for problems she refuses to confront at home. |
sammiewrite: I want you to use the same energy she uses to bash Nigeria and list the social ills of the UK. Go ahead! That’s exactly why even her own party finds her difficult, she’s two-faced. If you’re going to highlight another person’s struggles, you should first deal with your own. Maybe if Kemi had used that same energy to address the real struggles of the UK, people might have considered her fit for higher office, possibly even prime minister. I have nothing personally against her, but the minute she made it her business to disparage Nigeria and Nigerians, she made herself fair game. We’ve only just begun; we will be watching to see if she can ever turn out to be better than the Nigeria she constantly criticizes. I can easily list 20 struggles and social ills in the UK that Kemi hasn’t properly addressed, yet the moment she gets a microphone, she starts attacking Nigerians. Mark my words: once the Tories remove her, she will fade into political oblivion. |
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ These are the only real jobs available under Tinubu’s regime, I mean, the kind you can actually get without knowing anybody. Not those flashy Friday announcements of “who’s who” children, secret cult members, party affiliates, getting appointed to one government board or another. And guess what these mercenaries will eventually become in Nigeria, when the Ukraine war is over.....Kidnappers and Insurgents....The cycle continues. |
DoctorStanley:Thanks,,,written in haste. |
DoctorStanley: Obama, Rishi Sunak did not get there by disparaging blacks or Indians respectively. Kemi will not be Prime Minister. Only 13% of Americans are blacks. But Obama who could have even claimed been white, as his mother was white, more than Kemi whose parents where born in Abeokuta. Obama stayed black and didn't flinch. |
BadBradley:How about saying i actually made her do what she did ? |
DoctorStanley:Kemi could have simply focused on improving the welfare of Britons, tightening legal migration, deporting illegal migrants, and upholding fairness, and she would have been perfectly fine. But instead, she overreached, taking every chance to denigrate Nigeria, even going so far as to attack the Vice President. It showed a startling lack of emotional maturity. It’s like when your parents are fighting , and in a fit of anger, you call your father impotent. No matter how you try later, those words can never truly be taken back. That’s exactly what Kemi did. For Nigerians to forgive her, it will take more than words. She would have to symbolically cleanse herself , to go and bathe in the Osun River at noon, escorted by children, to appease the gods of her ancestors in Yoruba land. Only then, perhaps, would her spirit find balance again. |
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with starting small. Deji Adeyanju should be ashamed of himself for picking on a young man like Ola of Lagos. Jeff Bezos started Amazon in a garage. Mark Zuckerberg built Facebook from a shared dorm room. Elon Musk began his journey sleeping in his office. And Ola of Lagos started in a rented space. So what’s the big deal? It’s never about where you start, it’s about the vision, grit, and determination to keep going. When e reach your turn go buy your Law office for Banana Island.

DoctorStanley:Kemi Badenoch’s fall from grace may come faster than she expects. For all her noise and controversy, she isn’t as popular as she imagines. The excuse that “she’s doing what she needs to do” doesn’t sound like strategy, it sounds like desperation. Why not simply be herself and let the electorate decide? No one can pretend forever; it’s exhausting and soul-sapping to perform a persona that isn’t real. The truth is, she isn’t pretending , she’s just grown comfortable being caustic. And when she mocked Nigerians to score political points, she forgot that social media is borderless. Nigerians answered her in kind, and her own voters saw it. The whispers started: if even her own people don’t trust her, why should we? That quiet loss of moral credibility may prove the real reason her rise ends where it began. |

That was general elections polls Trump Versus Kamala This is Kemi's party saying they don't even want her to represent the party. Stop comparing apples and oranges. |
DoctorStanley:UK polls are not like American polls. You are comparing party elections with general public. Her own party does not want her to represent them. The tories do not want this eccentric woman. The writing is clear on the wall. I just wish she would return our Nigerian name "kemi" and adopt a more British name like Charlotte Badenoch, Olivia Badenoch or Sophie Badenoch
|
Why am i NOT surprised, even her adopted nationality and party does not want her. Nobody wants her. They dodged a bullet. |
Half of Tory members want Kemi Badenoch removed as party leader ahead of next general electionSource:https://www.gbnews.com/politics/conservative-party-conference-kemi-badenoch-reform-uk-manchester
|
She has finally been dumped. Very eccentric woman. She was dumped by the same people she kept speaking up for against Nigerians. I hope her health insurance plan covers mental therapy.....after been dumped. |
Lithiumite:I would have replied to your comment. But you called me Obedient. I am not an Obedient follower. |
Sooroptimist:Thanks for you comment. |
Gerrard59:My math made me millions in dollars in different stock mackets. Ability to calculate compounding to your advantage and use leverage is as important as being able to breathe. Thats part of the reason Nigeria is in so much debt. Our leaders don't know the effect of compounding with time. |
