noblezone: We are discussing here, I have stated somethings we are concerned about. You did not make attempt to address any, either by way of counter or by suggesting a way out.
Why? Voting GEJ out and bringing in Buhari is a first step. |

noblezone: I agree, but please there are fundamental issues that must be reconciled if we must be.
I am saying two cannot work together except they agree.
Bros, I have mentioned some points and none of you have addressed any of them.
I am not satisfied. If it's about the two of us, then its about "We", not one side trying to dictate to the two. To be honest nobody is satisfied with what Nigeria has turned out to be. But if you want it to work you must face up to the fact that we must stop bring sentimental. Chinua Achebe has said "pointedly" that the problem of Nigeria is LEADERSHIP. We should start that journey by voting in the right leaders, and not seeing things from our tribal lenses. |

noblezone: Our mentalities are different bro. Our lifestyles are far apart.
You see our mentality as a problem and I see yours as a problem.
Why do we continue to deceive ourselves? The differences in our mentalities had never been the problem. The problem is with extremists who abound in both Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba lands. Even Igboland is not as harmonious and homogeneous as you want us to believe. |

Reyginus: But then you are still missing the problem. How can I change when I see nothing wrong with what I'm doing? Reality is reality. If what we're doing is not right, maybe we'll know when life kicks our butt. |
Politics › Re: Who Else Can Inspire Hope In Me For Nigeria? by MalcoImX: 12:12pm On Dec 30, 2015 |
nduchucks: Indeed. It is easier for most to point fingers at others than to look within themselves where the solution to their problems can be found. He (noblezone) possibly has a Hausa or a Yoruba friend. Believe you me he won't spew what he's saying here to them. As you said earlier, the hatred expressed online is on a different level. My Igbo friends relate with me well and I have no course to worry about the type of fears exhibited by noblezone. |

But for how long shall watch them invade our lands and kill us? Siege mentality. Get off this false beliefs that you're at the mercy of a more 'advanced' tribes. Hold this long and you'll soon be a conquered people. |

Now. did you say law? I know that's what it would amount for you. You will pick a tribe and see it as the sole problem of your existence. |

Reyginus: C'mon, this is how a better world is built and not how a state can function. The morality exhibited in our relations to others is very vital in the existence of a state but that morality to be a wonderful creature touching lives is personal. Anyone can choose suicide or any personal immoral act but that which involved treating others must be dully followed. I don't know if you get me. The aggregate of our individual actions and agreements is what makes a good state. "You" are what makes a state and the government. It's nothing outside of us since states are run by individuals. |

One, we are not murderers like them and to, we don't want the attacks to continue. It's not exclusive to your place. Whoever breaks the law must be punished? |

I remember The Reinhard Bonke riots, the Miss World riots, and others
In all, our people were attacked and killed in the name of God.
We hold the sanctity of him a new life to the extreme. And our fellow citizens find pleasure to shed innocent blood at will.
Please, balance the argument. How do we build a great nation together? By you and I wanting to build a great nation. |

Reyginus: I've met Igbos who think that Yorubas are Naturally built with the Betrayal gene. I've met Yorubas who think the Igbos are too arrogant and troublemakers. I've met Hausas who see an Igbo man as an Infidel who deserves death. All these people I've met share the idea that any contrary opinion is a taint on their sound wisdom. We all have our prejudices, but are they real? |
Politics › Re: Who Else Can Inspire Hope In Me For Nigeria? by MalcoImX: 11:28pm On Dec 29, 2015 |
Reyginus: Myself and My Society. But then what does this your introspection entail? Does it allow asking questions that bother on your existence? Does it cover questions on how we treat a fellow human being? What does it really mean? And the best place to start the reorientation is from the "Myself." Malcolm X was a murderer, but his contribution to Black history will never be forgotten. He's got the American system to contend with, but he rose above all those. |

noblezone: Just like when Igbos were accused of being BH, I said its a lie.
America and Israel were also accused of being BH, and I say it's a lie.
Recently, Iran has accused Christians of working in partnership to destroy the shia community and Ivan saying its a lie.
Unman Dan Fodio made Rivers of blood in northern Nigeria during his Jihardism.
Was he inspired by Ihejirika, Israel, USA or CAN?
As you love to protect your tribe, so do we love to protect ours.
Enemies of Nigeria ate those who invade Enugu communities and kill them while they are sleeping.
Shall we fold our hands while we bleed for nothing?
Enough. Well look at it this way: You believe all your assertions are right while those you're against are wrong. An independent mind will likely find the truth in between yours and theirs; and he can't do that by looking at one side only. |

luvinhubby: Soyinka and Achebe are products of individual hard work and perseverance, Dangote was given N500,000 ($650,000 then) by a 'wealthy' uncle. I don't have an uncle to give me N500, 000 but I won't blame it on Oprah or Buhari. I'll try to be my own uncle, maybe then, Buhari or Oprah can help me with a loan (to be repaid). |

noblezone: Bros, people go to bed in their homes. At 3am. they are attacked, maimed and killed
Their houses are burnt.
Bros, what is your solution to this problem?
It has been happening for years. It will happen again and again. Change yourself. You don't want anything properly done. We prefer to protect our tribes. When an independent negotiator linked Ihejirika to BH, you said it couldn't be; even without an investigation. |

Reyginus: I am for humanity too. I mean how do we raise the mind of everyone to see it this way. You are forgetting these same people believe in a God who created from Adam and Eve. What other way do you show these people our humanity that is bigger than this? How do you convince a person who looks at you and sees a devil, a betrayer, a desperate man? And this idea he has about you are not debatable? Take the Omenka guy for instance. Omenka resonates well with what real. You cannot change anybody without changing yourself. Suppose you're called evil, what difference does it make if you're sure you're not and don't believe it. Likewise, a criminal will be changed by those who see him first as human than by those who see him as devil. . “The fountain of content must spring up in the mind, and he who hath so little knowledge of human nature as to seek happiness by changing anything but his own disposition, will waste his life in fruitless efforts and multiply the grief he proposes to remove” - Samuel Johnson. |

You have no idea who or what I am. on the other hand bro, what ever makes you happy is okay by me.
My question remains, how sinuous build a nation with such extreme value systems as we have
I wish you well I think omenka has a point. Introspection is it. Your life or influence changes the moment you change yourself. Those who understand what it is knows it's not an outside job. It's about themselves. |

Reyginus: MalcolmX, how will your proposal take everyone along? Dangote comes from Northern Nigeria, Soyinka from the West and Achebe from the East. I just don't want to be a victim. Each of these could have one thing or two to complain as to why he couldn't make it in Nigeria. Doing my best for each moment is enough for me, and like those I want my contributions to transcend all these barriers. I am responsible for my life and contributions; I am for humanity. That's all I've been trying to say |

noblezone: The world over, 40% is the accepted lowest level of pass mark.
In Nigeria, a child scores 1% and is admitted into A federal college. Another scores 69% in the same exam. but is denied admission.
Talk about, chaining the eagle so the chicken can fly.
Soon, enough, the 1% candidate comes out to rule over the 69%.
How can you build such a nation? You believe this trash; change yourself Mr. noblezone.. A child who scores 1% cannot graduate to anywhere, cannot even write his name, cannot even rule himself nor even a LG talk less of a country. |

Frankl , in Man's Search for Meaning, talked about "the last of the human freedoms," that's if you believe somebody will ever hold you down. He was free even in Nazi concentration camp. MXrep: Living in denial will not solve the problem we are facing. Nobody is happy for the killing, but denying it doesnt mean it didn't happen, the funniest part is blaming igbos because some ppl refuse to accept govt media deception from their paid agents http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/195819-breaking-fresh-explosion-kills-many-in-maiduguri-mosque.html If it's Maiduguri you showed you could see by all implications that it's not a small town. Many things happen there the residents only hear it the next day or even more. Those inside the town sometimes hear it from worried relatives outside who've heard it from the media. We are talking of the attack yesterday and I categorically replied Ogbuefi that many residents in many parts of Maiduguri were not aware. To be specific, it's my sister I called and she said she wasn't aware of anything. This one you're quoting said "Fresh" explosions and it had nothing to do with my claims of yesterday. If you read my post again, it refers to the attack of yesterday where many of you claimed the whole town was in disarray. Read again, nobody is denying any attack but the magnitude is not such as you people were claiming. . And again, I put it to you that residents of Maiduguri and the NE have million times confidence in Buhari than in GEJ when it comes to handling of the security situation. You can conduct your independent search to confirm or disprove my assertion. |
