Balkan: Please Oga explainer, can you please explain to us why Buhari put Alex Ekwueme an Igbo man a vice president in Prison while Shehu shagari the president and a fulani man was put under house arrest? Whose government was toppled? If he was as you accused him, he'd have left Shagari there, since he is the same tribe with Shagari - Fulani. . Oga anti-Buhari, can you please explain to us why IBB put Idiagbon (2 I/C to Buhari) under house arrest and Buhari, the HOS, in jail? |

SHTFguy: The only bloody liar here is you trying to re-write history to paint your bigot-in-chief as a saint.
Onu was acting Secretary-General for 2yrs.
He is the only diplomat to serve as SG in acting capacity.
He took over from Edem Kodj of Togo Who served for 5yrs from 1978- 1983.
Congress had yet to convene to appoint a successor for Kodjo and Nigeria's Onu was selected to act as SG pending when the OAU will organise an election.
You claimed Buhari never voted against Onu but can you explain why Onu was on the ballot and why Buhari was reported to have campaigned for a Fulani from Niger while Onu was being nominated by Tanzania's then president Nyereye? This junk you're talking about appeared in a campaign article by the PDP and Aribisala campaigning for GEJ. The title of that piece is: Jonathan is a superior presidential material to Buhari, which is a fallacy, aimed at people like you. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/02/jonathan-superior-presidential-material-buhari/It is vintage Aribisala, FFK or Omokri when the topic is Buhari - full of lies, half truths, character assassinations and conjectures. . Onu was not on any ballot talk less of Buhari not voting him. Nigeria, in deference to that agreement, advised Onu not to contest and he can't go against his country. But if you insist that Onu contested and votes were cast for and against him, you can as well tell us how the vote was taken? |
Politics › Re: The Truth About Buhari Not Voting Peter Onu As OAU Secretary General In 1985 by MalcoImX(op): 8:16am On Sep 08, 2017 |
SHTFguy: See lies
Don't confuse the position of Secretary-General to that of OAU chairman.
Peter Onu re-contested his sit as OAU Secretary-General which Buhari voted against in favour of a Fulani from Niger.
You claimed that Nigeria alongside other big 5 African countries had agreed to not contest the 5yr tenure position as OAU secretary-General but failed to state that Nigeria (under IBB and Obasanjo) occupied the OAU chairman position which is for a single year.
The fact remains that Onu contested for the sit and Buhari cast his votes for a Fulani man from Niger. The Chairperson is the ceremonial head of the AU (OAU) and is occupiable by Heads of State only. So, IBB or Obj occupying the seat is in no way related to the matter at hand. What we're talking about is the Secretary General of the AU (OAU) who is the head of the AU's secretariat. . In any case, Onu cannot be AU (OAU) Chairman/chairperson, since he was neither a HOS or president of any country |

Kamanuozuzu: BUHARI VOTED AGAINST A NIGERIAN BECOMING OAU SECRETARY GENERAL IN 1985 BECAUSE OF TRIBAL CONSIDERATIONS, AND GAVE HIS VOTE INSTEAD TO SOMEBODY FROM NIGER A FULANI LIKE HIM. Know the truth and it will set you free. |
Politics › The Truth About Buhari Not Voting Peter Onu As OAU Secretary General In 1985 by MalcoImX(op): 7:11am On Sep 08, 2017 |
The lie has been regurgitated again by the enemies of truth, especially, the iPobians (who probably got it from those working for PDP then - Aribisala, Daggash, et al.) that Buhari voted against a Nigerian (Peter Onu) becoming OAU Secretary General in 1985 because of tribal considerations, and he voted some Fulani man like him who was from Niger republic. As it was then, so it is now, that the seekers of truth would not allow those bent on causing havoc in Nigeria for others to clear the mess go unchallenged. . Nigeria's enviable position in Africa, and as a major funding member of OAU (AU) qualified it to easily get the position of Secretary General or any other position of the organization if it wants; but everybody knows that Nigeria has never been, and it's not because it cannot but to respect an agreement that would in the interest of brotherhood, belongingness, and inclusiveness allow smaller nations occupy that position. It was based on that premise that Nigeria advised Onu not to seek the position, which he obeyed. So, the issue of voting against Onu or Nigeria is the greatest lie that has been elevated by Buhari enemies. Onu did not contest talk less of not being elected or Buhari voting against him.
//
The hallmark of honour is to live by your words, and it is the gross that break their words. What Buhari did was what exactly Obj did on the Bakassi Peninsula. Nigeria could have held on to Bakassi and nothing would happen. This is a position that I hold. I was against Nigeria handing over that territory to Cameroon. But Nigeria is a signatory to the international court that adjudicated on the case. It presented its case and sat through all the proceeding, and the honorable thing to do was to abide by the ruling if it went against it; which it did and Nigeria obeyed.
//
The issue has nothing to do with Onu, Igbo (as most anti-Buharists want us to believe) but Nigeria and its leadership position to other less powerful African countries, which Buhari obeyed, based on principle. An agreement that subsisted among the "OAU's Big Five", namely, Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Nigeria and South Africa, not to contest or field candidates for the position of the Chairperson of the Commission is what Buhari honored. If that is what's being twisted to suit Nigeria's geopolitics, let it be.
//
This agreement has stood for decades and its only recently that South Africa, in a quest to acquire continental and international influence that has brought rancor and division to the AU. Not only did SA say it won't abide by the subsisting agreement of the "Big Five", but that the position must be rotated - and the rotation must start with it.
//
The last thing I'd say is that that subsisting agreement was in operation before Buhari and after Buhari's tenure as Nigeria's Head of State. It is the recent position of SA that has threatened this system and brought infighting and disunity amongst members. Maybe it is now that Nigeria would flex its muscles, seeing SA selfishness and desire to grab. But would that promote unity, the reason the organization was created.
//
It is Aribisala and his cahoots (mostly PDP internet warriors) to be alleging that Buhari voted against Onu or Nigeria is just not the truth but highly misleading. But many buy into the fallacy because it is easy to believe what they want to believe. . With dispassionate analysis you'll see that it was SA bent on contesting the AU Chair that were suggesting Nigeria, through Onu had earlier tried to renege on the agreement; and therefore if its actions were seen as not honoring any agreement, it was Nigeria that tried to set the precedent. . A far-fetched argument, but one that calls for response, is the twist given to the circumstances that brought Ambassador Peter Onu of Nigeria to office as acting Secretary General of the OAU. Nkoanna Mashabane claims that Nigeria which is one of the five big countries funding the Commission, headed the Commission in 1983. This she said, to challenge the "unwritten gentleman's agreement" that subsisted among the "Big Five", namely, Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Nigeria and South Africa, not to contest or field candidates for the position of the Chairperson of the Commission. . Ambassador Peter Onu, by right of succession as the most senior official of the OAU, assumed leadership in an acting capacity. Mr Adekunle Daniel, former staff of the OAU, remarked that when Peter Onu assumed office as acting Secretary General, the Nigerian Government warned him not to seek to be the substantive Secretary General of the OAU based on the gentleman's agreement. Indeed, he respected that position and acted in accordance with the rules of the OAU. . The decision by Algeria, Nigeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya and South Africa among others not to contest for the AU top job was based on the understanding and principle of solidarity and unity which South Africa is now bent on breaking by all means. Nowadays however, South Africa rejects the agreement and repeatedly asks to be presented with the written evidence of its content and existence. ~~ http://newsnow.onlinenigeria.com/news/advt.php?blurb=178123%20&t=%20Facts,%20Fallacies%20of%20Race%20for%20African%20Union%20Commission%20Chairperson ~~ https://ynaija.com/olugbenga-ashiru-nigerias-place-in-africa-is-clear-and-assured/ |

UK + Denmark + Switzerland 245,362km2 + 42,931km2 + 41,285km2
329, 578km2
Osinbajo was misinformed He missed it by about 11,000 sq km, which is fair for somebody speaking without any reference. . The state is UK + (Denmark) (or Switzerland). . Denmark or Switzerland each has about 41, 000 sq km. . UK 242,500 + 40,000 = 283, 500 sq kmNE = 272,365 |

You've reduced the size of the states. Borno state alone is over 70,000 sq km. . With an area of 242,500 square kilometres(93,600 sq mi), the United Kingdom is the 78th-largest sovereign state in the world and the 11th-largest in Europe . It is also the 21st-most populous country , with an estimated 65.1 million inhabitants. Together, this makes it the fourth-most densely populated country in the European Union (EU) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom. 1. Borno 70,898 sq km 2. Taraba 54,473 sq km 3. enemybulldozer: That you've never seen an Igbo man prostrate to somebody does not mean they cannot do it or they don't know how to do it. See there are some cultures people borrow because they choose to borrow it For example: Ngwa people in Abia state can never call anybody that is their elder by that person's name an Ngwa person uses "Dede and Daa" to qualify elderly men and women respectively. And now do you know that some ethnic groups in SE and SS have borrowed it because they see reason to do that.
4)Look at what kanu does every morning. a) he prays asking God to guide and give us Biafra. b) he picks up his phone/laptop to surf the internet looking for people's hate speech that is being directed to him. Kanu said he loves the animosity he gets from people that hate him because it serves like a fuel to him.
5)Are you sure that those pictures are not old ones?? Junai Mohammed is in doubt if the man in aso rock is really buhari even FFK is in doubt too and another thing is that, those people you're waiting to shout may choose to remain silent based on reasons known to them. If you agree that you've borrowed the cultural practice of prostrating for elders, then let us not see an Igboman complaining when others are prostrating to their elders. . It's good if he wakes up and prays asking God to give him Biafra, but to look for enemy up and down is not a good habit. In psychology it may lead to what they call hallucination - seeing and hearing what is not there. . What Junaid Mohammed and many others meant was that Buhari don change because of sickness and he cannot be able to do like the Buhari they knew. |
