Hello House, Good news for me at last! I collected our passports (My wife's, son's and mine) today with visa approved. Effective 23rd September through the next four years plus as I embark upon research leading to the award of a PhD. I met this young chap today at TP VI. Told me how he's got his luggage in the car waiting for his passport and off to the airport. He mentioned to me that a certain Mallam Yahaya has been commenting on TP VI. I didn't reveal my identity right away but as I was leaving I whispered to him 'I am Mallam Yahaya!" Goodluck dude as you go to Manchester. Special thanks to @Justwise @Kemkem @Spikes and host of others. Signing off for now. 1 Like |

Anyone going to TP VI today? Please update us on the going ons there. I can't imagine why it should take more than two weeks for movement from VPC to VAC. The UK authorities need to do something about TP VI. |

Hello Folks, @Justwise@spikes et al I submitted my application at TP Victoria Island on September 17th, I got an email stating that my application has ben received by UKVI same day. Since then no news from TP. I sent an email to UKVI in late September and was told that a decision has been made. Yet no news from TP. A fellow nairalander sent the email address of the visa ofFice in Sheffield. I got a response stating that a decision was reached on 23rd September. My lessons so far: 1. If you submit your application at Abuja, you will get a response faster and you may even get an approval email to set your mind at rest even before you receive the visa. 2. If you apply at TP VI, you will not get an approval email but will have to wait to see your package to know whether or not you will get the visa. 3. Only TP VI can tell how long it takes for the package to be returned from Visa processing center to the Visa application center. Bottomline for those yet to apply - GO TO ABUJA except if you are patient. |

percyfaya: Even if you complete the form in small case, the system is programmed to convert it to upper case. You will notice that during review before you submit |

AdesuwaMD: Did your daughter's school ask you to go for a review? But for the additional cost for reapplying, I should presume that the latter is faster especially if you go to Abuja and NOT VI. If you check the thread you will find out about a chap who went for a review. My advise is that if you reapply, you know the reason for the initial denial and seal that gap and the visa will be granted. These are my thoughts though because certainly a review would take much longer than a fresh application. Some folks get there visas within three working days. |

I am based in Port Harcourt and it is not going to be easy traveling all the way only to be told my package is not ready. Thank God I didn't book for courier delivery. |

AdesuwaMD: Fellow naijans, I salute. I know that @Justwise will do justice to your question. To my understanding, there is a maximum amount that can be deducted for maintenance under the rules. You are not supposed to pay more than 1000 pounds for accomodation. You may want to reapply again if you have held enough funds in your account for the 28 day period. The rules allows for deductions on Tuition but limits deduction towards accomodation. Let's hear from the guru - @justwise. |

@Justwise, please I need your opinion on this. I submitted my application on September 17, 2014 at TP VI. I got two emails same day, one informing me that it has been transferred to UKVI and another email stating that it has been received by UKVI. Four days ago I sent an email to the UKVI requesting for the status of my application. I got a response two days later stating that my application has been processed and it's being delivered to the VAC. I infer that a decision has already been made. What I don't understand is why TP hasn't sent me a decision has been made mail. They have also not updated their website. My school has already started induction of PhD students. I'm worried as TP doesn't have a contact number or email address. They deliberately ensured that when you click on contact on their website it leads no where. Please and please anyone making an appplication for visa for study purposes avoid TP VI. God to Abuja where you will experience minimum delay. Those who applied after me have received their visas. |

Please anyone who goes to TP VI today should let us know what is going on there. They appear not to be organised at all. Even when decisions have been made they do not update their website. I contacted UKVI and I was informed that my application has been processed and enroute to the VAC. I believe that this should also be on the site for the purpose of tracking. Again. TP does not respond to feedback on their site. I begin to wonder why they got the job in the first place. Please if you want to make an application do not go to TP VI except if you want to buy your ticket expensive. Anyone who gets information from them today should please let us know. Happy Independence (although belated) to the gurus in the house - @Justwise, @Spikes, @thefavouredone : Good job! Blessings |

Amdan: Thanks for the hint. Yes. Wedding pictures. Anything to show that you are genuinely married. I got that hint from colleagues in the office the very first time I was applying for a visit visa. Some folks also attach baby pictures e.g a dedication as well. The authorities want to know you have lived together a picture is an evidence so to prove. |

Please do you have the email address that they used in responding to you> i want to save it on my contact address so that an email from them will not go to my spam folder. deoluwatinto: Just got my visa from TP VI, thanks a lot all, TP ain't organized at all, but thank God I got t in time as it had been issued since 22nd. Best of luck to those waiting for theirs Congratulations! Please did you track your application on their site? Did you see any changes other than the application has been received? It's a shame that TP is taking over in a very busy time like this since they are new to the system. They should have come on board during the winter and gain experience when traffic is less. |
