QUESTION :
1.At the time when Allah revealed Surah
2:144 to change the Qiblah from
Jerusalem to Mecca, the Ka’ba was still
a pagan shrine housing 360 pagan
idols. Why would Allah permit his
Prophet to bow towards the Ka’ba while
it was still polluted with 360 pagan
idols?
2. Why must the prayers of the Muslims
be directed towards the pagan shrine
in order to reach the ears of Allah?
3. Since the Blackstone was venerated by the pagans during pre-Islamic days,
why are Muslims all over the world
commanded to face this very pagan
Blackstone whenever they pray?
4.If you say it to unify Muslims, why are

The disciples couldn't kill anyone and were ordered allegedly by Jesus to turn the other cheek whenever they are being attacked. I suppose was peaceful and not violent as at that time basically because they had no other option than to succumb to whatever and however they were being treated by the Jews and the Romans owing to the fact that they were more or less like a third class citizens. So tell me, how else would you have wanted them to cope

Jeremiah 22 . First, the LORD likens the king to a signet ring on God’s hand—a ring that God will pull off (verse 24). Then, God pronounces a curse: “Record this man as if childless, a man who will not prosper in his lifetime, for none of his offspring will prosper, none will sit on the throne of David or rule anymore in Judah” (verse 30).
The problem is that the curse of Jeconiah seems to invalidate Jesus’ right to the throne of David. The Davidic Covenant promised that the Messiah, the “Son of David,” would reign forever on Jerusalem’s throne ( 1 Chronicles 17:11-14 ). If Jesus is a descendant of Jeconiah, then how can He be the Messiah, since the curse bars any of Jeconiah’s descendants from assuming David’s throne?
There are three possible solutions to this difficulty. First, the “offspring” of Jeconiah mentioned in the curse could be a limited reference to the king’s own children—his
immediate offspring, in other words. On a related note, the phrase “in his lifetime” could apply to the entire verse. The curse would only be in force while the king lived. This is exactly what happened, as Jeconiah was not successful as a king (he only reigned for three months before he surrendered to Nebuchadnezzar’s forces), and none of his sons (he had seven of them, 1 Chronicles 3:17–18 ) reigned over Judah.
A second solution concerns the virgin birth . Jesus only had one human parent, Mary. His mother was of David’s line, but not through Jeconiah (Luke 3:31 ). Joseph was Jesus’ legal father, but not His physical one. Thus, Jesus was of royal blood through Mary, but the curse of Jeconiah stopped with Joseph and was not passed on to Jesus.
A third possible solution is that God reversed the curse on Jeconiah’s family. This is hinted at by the prophet Haggai, who told Zerubbabel, Jeconiah’s grandson, that God would make him a “signet ring” on God’s hand ( Haggai 2:23 ). Zerubbabel was blessed by God as the governor of Judea, and he prospered in that role when the Jewish exiles returned to Jerusalem. The “signet ring” imagery of Jeconiah’s curse is repeated in Zerubbabel’s blessing, which must be more than coincidence. Several rabbinic sources teach that Jeconiah repented in Babylon and that God forgave him and lifted the curse.

I'm Justice and i'm 22. I'm posting this to NL only cos I've sort help but haven't gotten any. It took months before i could summon enough courage to think of sharing my feelings online ,and i'm really looking forward to positive replies(only Christians).


For a while now i've found myself losing faith in God. Sometimes i feel religion is a joke. I still go to church ,still pray but within me i doubt there's actually someone listening to my prayers.

Sometimes when something good happens and people praise God i think it ridiculous. Reason is that good things are always bound to happen. Even to murderers.

I hate how i feel ,i'm gradually turning into an atheist. I've prayed for salvation, to believe Jesus lives and cares. I asked a guy for help all he said was i should read the new testament and believe everything written in it cos it's God's word. That didn't help.

Please i need someone in the right path(a good Christian) to help cos i really want to believe. I don't want to miss heaven.

I often hear muslims seeking guidance from allaah. In fact, in their obligatory salaat, they ask him to show them the straight path. Then, I wonder, how do they receive guidance as they cannot hear from allaah.

Is the quran not enough for guidance and showing the straight path?

Can christians kill even as soldiers? Shld a christian even be a soldier knowing he can be ordered to kill at anytime and he must obey. Show me scriptures backing christians not Jews to kill. Jesus can with a "better" covenant. A new way of life where it is wrong to follow "an eye for an eye" Mathew 5 (sermon on the mount)
