Ok. Well explained. It is a typical giving of excuse by man on behalf of god, but at least you tried unlike some that would give explanations that makes no sense.
So moses had to tell god the consequence of reacting like a kid that got his candy snatched. Imagine moses telling god not to wipe out isrealites. This god does not seem that bright to me.
bring the verse were moses had to informed God of His action, let us analyze it.

HardMirror:
No no no
You are wrong. Do you know what repentance means.
You can't repent without
-realization of wrong doing or wrong thinking
-commitment to do the right thing
So it means go realized he was thinking wrong and then committed to do right.
Any one who has to repent is imperfect even if he has good intentions.

"Oh damn! What was I thinking?" That is the thought of a repentant person.

So imagine god raving with anger and saying he will destroy the children of isreal. Then moses saying "god, really? You will destroy your own people? After you brought them out of egypt you destroy them and make everyone laugh at you?"
I can imagine the look on god's face like "oh sh.it! What was I thinking?"
I can imagine god regretting creating man during noah's time and deciding to flood the whole world.
That sounds more like an unstable human to me than a god that knows all things.

But the problem is in what god has to be. A god must be all knowing, all powerful and all present. Anything less is a god not worthy to be called god. But we humans who speak for god because we created him in the first place are struggling to give a perfect cover for god because we are not perfect ourselves. We don't know what it is to be all knowing. So when we tell stories about god just like in the bible, we end up with stories with a lot of loopholes that makes god more like an ordinary man with exaggerated abilities.
God’s repentance is not like man’s. I take that to
mean that God is not taken off guard by
unexpected turns of events like we are. He
knows all the future. (“Behold, the former things
have come to pass, and new things I now
declare; before they spring forth I tell you of
them,” Isaiah 42:9). Nor does God ever sin. So
his repentance is not owing to lack of foresight
nor to folly.
Rather, the repentance of God is his expression
of a different attitude and action about
something past or future ,not because events
have taken him off guard, but because events
make the expression of a different attitude
more fitting now than it would have been
earlier.

Commanding genocide, rape, slavery etc. How would God be so comfortable with a man having another man as his property? There are lots of wickedness God has done.

You don't expect the bible to say God sinned. God is a tyrant.

And please, we're deviating from the OP. I still need answers to my questions above.
why did God command this ? There is different between killing and murder. Murder involves killing unlawfully with premeditated malice. It involves a deliberate, planned, pre-mediated attack against a fellow human being for the purpose of taking his life for reasons that are purely sinful. Give me verse in the bible were such murder is related with God.

The op has been answer, God think. So what next ?

What if such thing happens in a work place?

As in, a supervisor of a department suddenly hate a worker of another department for no just cause and still refuses to tell what wrong he has against the worker. Yet he isn't your employer, your account officer, or your benefactor... just a coworker to a coworker.
if such thing happen and you try to make peace with them but they refused, leave everything to God, you cannot force someone to Love you, stay out of there way, make peace with God .

I know thread like this will not make front page, so let me use this opportunity to pass it here:
https://www.nairaland.com/2552255/god-love-innocent-wouldnt-suffer

If God eradicated everyone who has ever
caused pain by selfishness, cheating, lying,
gossiping or hurtful
remarks, who would be left? People say,
"Suffering is God's fault!", In other words,if we
disobey God,it's God's fault?
conveniently forgetting times our own anger,
greed and lies hurt others. To wipe out some
people who cause suffering, and spare you and
me, would make God guilty of gross injustice.
We have each added to humanity's shame.
If there is a God of love, the people he loves
and longs to place in a pain-free world are the
very ones who cause
humanity's suffering.
We are so far from being innocent that we owe
our very existence to sin. If, for example, we
traced our family tree far
enough,we would probably each find an
ancestor born as a result of sin - rape, unlawful
Inbreeding, a despised pregnancy,
sex before marriage, and the like.
Humanity can boast only ONE PERFECT PERSON
. We killed him.
Frequently, we hear or read a comment like
this:
"I simply cannot believe in a God who
permits innocent children to starve and suffer,
and men like Hitler and Stalin to murder
millions of people."
The examples may vary, but the thoughts are
always the same. Supposedly, this is "proof" that
either God doesn't exist, or that if He does, He
either doesn't care about our sufferings, or He is
not powerful enough to do
anything about them. But suffering is neither
proof of God's non-existence or
existence. Saying, "If God exists, why is
there suffering?" is like saying "If San Francisco
exists, why are there earthquakes?" Do
earthquakes occur because San Francisco
causes them? Or do they occur in spite of San
Francisco? Or do they have nothing to do with
San
Francisco? Well, we know the answer to that
question because we know about San Francisco
and we know about
earthquakes. But how much do we really know
about God? If we define Him by our own nature,
then He cannot be of
any greater character than ourselves.
We may ascribe to Him a greater power than
ourselves, but when we suppose that God
should or should not act like this or that, then all
we are really saying is, "He should act like I
would if I
were God."
STARVING:
Now, let's look at starving children. The Bible
says that in the beginning, God created the
heavens and the earth. That
includes everything necessary to feed and
provide for its inhabitants. Can anyone deny
that the earth is capable of producing more than
enough food to feed the entire globe? Well then,
if people are starving, whose fault is that? If God
made the earth, is He also supposed to plant
and distribute our crops for us? Do you
remember the tons of food that were shipped to
Ethiopia,
but did not reach the starving people who
needed it? Whose fault was that?
The reason that over 90% of the masses have
barely enough to survive on,is that there is a
problem of DISTRIBUTION, not of SUPPLY .A tiny
minority have far more than they need,
depriving the many.
SUFFERING:
Regarding suffering that is the result of sin, what
could be clearer than Romans 1:28–29 and
Galatians 6:8–9? The
unbeliever may stomp about with all vigor and
complain that it is "bigotry" to associate the rise
of AIDS and other diseases to sin; that biblical
morality is
narrow-minded, outdated, and totally wrong.
But this fact is unalterable: In a society where
biblical morality is abandoned, suffering always
increases.
Where biblical morality is followed, suffering
always declines. Always. (Isa.59:1-4).
As to Hitler, Stalin, street gangs and senseless
murders: Would any of these things happen if
people followed the teachings of Jesus? Do you
realize what
this world would be like if people simply
followed God's instructions? There would be no
murder, no wars. There would be no welfare,
because families
would take care of their own (and families
would stay together) and those who did not
have families would be
provided for by their fellow-members in Christ.
There would be no starvation… I could go on,
but the point is: God has
provided us answers; whose fault is it that we
don't seek them or heed them when we find
them?
I suspect that those who use suffering as a
"proof" of God's non-existence would not want
to have their free choice taken away from
them, but that's exactly what God would have to
do if He were to enforce His will on the earth.
For if God were to intervene in the matter of
suffering, would He not also intervene in the
matter of sin? If He did, He would have to be a
dictator.
Then how would we react? We would not want
that, and according to the Bible, God doesn't
want it either. He wants us to obey Him because
we want to, not because we have to. And in
order to accomplish this, He must allow two
things to happen. First, in order to grant us free
choice, He must provide us with graphic
examples of the consequences of the wrong
choice. Secondly,He must allow injustices and
sufferings; otherwise he'd provide sinful
mankind with every blessing and benefit
without restriction. If everything in this life was
fair, good and happy, what need would there be
to seek a better life? Why would we seek a
Deliverer, if there was nothing to be delivered
from? Suffering is not something that ought to
turn people away from God, but draw them to
Him.

The fact that God knows what "Evil/good " is and does them shows how evil/good he is . Don't sieve God off evil. How would he know man is wicked if he isn't wicked? This is getting to a blow on the divine command theory. Anyway...

Let me just ask this derailing questions.

*Is God without sin because he said he is without sin Or We say he is without sin, therefore he is without sin?

Not all humans agree God is without sin...only certain Christians do. God is the one making himself Righteous in his own eyes before you,in your brain. It's psychological .

And please, don't cherry pick my questions. Thanks. A nice reply though, would be expecting more.
so, what sin has God committed ? Provide your evidence with proper Explanation, don't give one sided story.

The verse I provide say, the reason God was sorry is NOT because this people are Evil but because their INTENT was to do more Evil. Just because God is omniscient does not mean He will pretend All is well.
Christianity Etc › Re: Does God Think ? by malvisguy212: 8:53pm On Apr 23, 2016
@ TheAgba
God has mind and He think, alright. someone who is blameless and without sin, how does He think ? Just because God is omniscient omnipotent, omnipresent does not mean He will acts contrary to His will and command. Here what the bible say in genesis 6 :

Genesis 6:5-8

“Then the LORD SAW that the wickedness of man
was great in the earth, and that every INTENT OF THE THOUGHT OF HIS HEART WAS ONLY EVIL CONTINUALLY. And the LORD was sorry that He
had made man on the earth, and He was
grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, ‘I will
destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD”

This verse say God was sorry for creating man, why ? Because man only intent was evil continually, now, the question is , JUST BECAUSE GOD IS OMINISCIENT MEAN HE WILL PRETEND ALL IS WELL WITH MAN, WHEN IS NOT ?

another important detail is found in verse 11:
“The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence” (see also verse 13). Humanity had become so violent that God had to intervene. The world was not a safe place to live, and was especially dangerous for the few who remained who weren’t evil. Just because God is omniscient and that He knows man heart, He shouldn't intervene ? Am sorry op, biblical omniscient is different from the one you are implying here. If God has opinion on man , its rely on man conduct, obedient to God's command.

You have not supported your false view that the soul is immortal with Biblical texts. sad
the word soul can be used to address the physical form of life that man and animal live in, that can cease to exist. AND also the word soul can use to describe something that will never die. But their is NO place in the bible it was use to describe animal that will never die. But instead it was use to describe man's soul that will never die.In speaking of Rachel’s death at the birth of her son, Moses wrote: “And it came to pass, as her soul was departing (for she died)” (Genesis 35:18).

In revelation 5:1 and 6:9. The bible indicate john saw the soul of those who have been slain for the word of God. This imply that underneath of a body there exist a soul who survive the body.
