And i also no you converted from islam to christianity , most likely because of the passages pronoting violence in islam . so my question is .........
HAVE YOU READ THE OLD TESTAMENT
Not all laws in the old testament we are to follow, jesus came and supersede this laws, we are to learn from the law. The israelite were surrounded with wicked nation who sacrifice their sons and daughter for their gods, this is exactly what God hate. And also this pagans always invade the israelite farm and harvest their crop. The killing of this pagans are not murder. ( There are difference between killing and murder). Muhammed on the other hand, kill and urge his followers to do the same. Don't worry, I will open a thread very soon about the wickedness of Allah and muhammed, you will find out that muhammed and Allah are one person. |

truthman2012: This is a statement credited to Muhamadu Buhari before he became the president of Nigeria:
“I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria,” Mr. Buhari said. “God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country.”
Source: http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/mar/19/richard-grenell-nigeria-brink/
No sooner had he resumed at Aso Villa that the Christians didn't find it easy to worship at Aso Villa Chapel. It was rumoured he has closed the chapel.
Knowing the body language of the president, El-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State has started frustrating the Christians. He has placed restrictions on religious activities. What they normally do is to make it appear as if it affects both Christianity and Islam but the real target are the Christians knowing fully that muslims don't engage in evangelism.
I also learnt that 19 other Northern Governors have taken to the step of El-Rufai. All these are pointing to the gradual implementation of islamization of Nigeria and is all happening in the current administration of Muhammadu Buhari.
There had been presidents in this country who are Christians with no intentions of Christianizing Nigeria. Why is the Muslims' God interested in forced conversion as we read in the quran ? they will never succeed in jesus name. The christians in kaduna will never allow it. In fact this is what cause the crisis in 2001. |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Tri-unity Of God And The Work Of Salvation. by malvisguy212(op): 8:58am On May 04, 2016 |
malvisguy212: Can we really understand the trinity ? We can't , how can a finite being understand an infinite God ? Our responsibility is to believe what God has said about Himself.
The old testament prove the fact that there is ONLY ONE GOD. Isreal is surrounded with many nation that worship different gods. God people needed to know that there is only ONE GOD:
Deut. 6:4 "Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God is ONE LORD"
This verse give two details about God. 1. The nature of God (God's ONENESS) and 2. Jehovah is the only God.The old testament emphasizing of the UNITY of God, is not silent with respect to the PLURALITY of God's Nature. The old testament lay the groundwork for the new testament revelation.
The hebrew word for God is Elohim, plural in form."In the beginning God CREATED" (Genesis 1:1). God is the omnipotent CREATOR! The name for "God" found in Genesis 1:1 is the Hebrew word "ELOHIM" the ending of this word (..IM) is a plural ending,(more than one) just like our english language "S" is the ending word for plural. For example:
1. CHERUBIM (Exodus 25:18-20) 2. SERAPHIM (Isaiah 6:2,6) 3. TERAPHIM(judges 17:5)
The words end with IM , they are plural in form. In Genesis 1:1 the verb "CREATED" is a SINGULAR verb, and it means "HE (singular) CREATED." Two answers may be given to the question, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" 1. HE DID (singular) because the verb means "HE CREATED." The verb does not mean "THEY CREATED." 2. GOD DID (plural) because the word ELOHIM is a plural word!
So, there is a sense in which God the Creator is singular. There is only ONE God and He is the Creator. There is no other God. It is also true that there is a sense in which He is plural. This brings us to our next point:
PLURAL UNITY OF GOD. Deuteronomy 6:4 says: "Hear, O Israel: The LORD [singular] our God [ELOHIM-plural] is ONE Lord."
God is Love, if God is two, our Love will be DIVIDED and one will not Get our full devotion. So YES, God is ONE and He deserve our Full attention.
The Hebrew word"ONE"found in Deuteronomy 6:4 is a word that can be used to describe a plural (composite) UNITY (a unity made up of more than one component). For Example in Genesis 11:5 "Behold, the PEOPLE IS ONE." The people (plural) at Babel were united together as ONE. It was a UNITY, but it was made up of many people (a plural unity).
Another example is in Genesis 2:24 where the same word "one" is found: "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh." Here we have a plural unity. It is a ONENESS made up of two persons" a husband and a wife" They (plural) shall be one (singular) flesh. The two are one.
Just as Genesis 11:5 speaks of a plural unity (many people being ONE), and just as Genesis 2:24 speaks of a plural unity (two people being ONE), so also Deuteronomy 6:4 describes God who is a PLURAL UNITY. Later we will learn that this plural unity is actually a TRI-UNITY.
In Isaiah 6:8 , we have a threefold declaration of God's holiness: "And one cried unto another, and said, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory" (Isaiah 6:3). we learn elsewhere in Scripture, namely that 1) God the Father is Holy (John 17:11); 2) God the Son is Holy (Heb. 7:26 and compare Luke 1:35); 3) God the Holy Spirit is Holy (as His very Name declares)
In Genesis , God is repeatedly mention as the creator, and in Genesis 1:2 we saw how the Holy spirit is actively involve " was moving in the face of the water. And in john 1:1 we understand that the Word (jesus) was God and everything were created through Him. A |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Difference Between RELIGION And CHRISTIANITY. by malvisguy212(op): 8:55am On May 04, 2016 |
malvisguy212: There are differences between Christianity and religion, Many are GOING TO CHURCH but few are GOING DOWN THE ROAD WHICH LEADS TO LIFE. Many are RELIGIOUS but few are RIGHT WITH GOD.
Religion is DOING while Christianity is DONE. When Jesus cried on the cross, "it is finished" The work of our salvation was FINISHED, DONE, ACCOMPLISHED and COMPLETED. A religious man may be likened as a man who try to swim from river kaduna to niger by his own strength, he will never make it. But the man who is save by faith is likened to be a man who get on a ship, hoping it will take him to his destination. This man simply rests upon the ship and lets the ship do all the work.
THIS ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RELIGION AND CHRISTIANITY. 1. RELIGION: "Salvation is something I must do. I must somehow earn or gain salvation by the way I live."
CHRISTIANITY: "Salvation is something only God can do. Salvation is of the LORD!" (Eph. 2:8-9).
2. RELIGION: Religion is summed up in one word: DO--man trying to DO different things to please God and earn His favor.
CHRISTIANITY: Christianity is summed up in one word; DONE--Christ dying on the cross to save sinful man (John 19:30).
3. RELIGION: The religious man is busy "working" (doing good works) in order to be saved.
CHRISTIANITY: The saved person is "not working" (Rom. 4:5) but is RESTING upon the finished work of Another. Although he must beware (1 peter 5:
4. RELIGION: RELIGION is man trying to BRING HIMSELF TO GOD (by human effort, good works, ritualism, traditionalism, sacraments, etc.).
CHRISTIANITY: CHRISTIANITY is Christ BRINGING US TO GOD on the basis of what He did for us on the cross, NOT by our own effort. (1 Peter 3:18).
5. RELIGION: Man trying to please God in the wrong way (Rom. 8:8--"So then they that are in the FLESH cannot please God" .
CHRISTIANITY: Man truly pleasing God in the only way (Hebrews 11:6--"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" .
6. RELIGION: The religious man is seeking to establish his own righteousness by ignoring the way of the righteousness of God (Rom. 10:3).
CHRISTIANITY: The saved man is satisfied with the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 5:21).
7.RELIGION: Religion is pictured in Genesis 3 by the fig leaves that Adam and Eve made for themselves--a terrible covering (Gen. 3:7).
CHRISTIANITY: Salvation is pictured in Genesis 3 by the coats of skin which God provided by way of the shedding of BLOOD--a perfect covering (Gen. 3:21).
8.RELIGION: CAIN'S RELIGION--"I bring to God the labour of my own hands" (Gen. 4:3). CHRISTIANITY: ABEL'S FAITH--"I bring to God a blood sacrifice. An innocent substitute must die to save me" (Gen. 4:4).
Good works done by sinful man can never please a holy God. The greatest good work is GOD'S WORK accomplished by Jesus Christ who offered Himself on the cross as the sinner's Substitute. Thus we are not saved by good works but we are saved unto good works: "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10). "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13).
Are you resting fully in the finished work of Christ? Are you trusting in Jesus Christ, WHO HE IS, WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR YOU and WHAT HE HAS SAID IN HIS WORD? "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else" (Isaiah 45:22). |

Visitor700: The CONFIRMATION Allah is talking about here is the prophecy mentioned in the Taurat and Injeel regarding the prophet's description.
At-Tabari comments on (Quran 10:94) God says to His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that if you are in doubt about the truthfulness of what We told you in Revelations - that the children of Israel had not differed concerning your prophet hood before you were sent by God as an Apostle to His people, for they found you prophesied in their scripture, and they knew you from the description of you given in the Torah and Injil - you must confer with those who read the sacred book before you, that is, the people of the Torah and the people of the Gospel, such as Abdullah Ibn Salam and those who, like him, were honest and had faith in you: do not ask those who are dishonest or are unbelievers." (At-Tabari, Jami', vol. II, p. 115) lies. The quran encourage the jews to judge with what God had reveal to them, meaning Allah is not only asking muhammed to confirm the prophecy only. the Qur’an admits that the Torah, Psalms and the Gospel are the Words of God( Surah 5:44; Surah 4:163; Surah 5:46) and the Words of God cannot be changed (Surah 10:64), then does not this confirm that each time you claim the Bible to be corrupted, you are in fact proving the Qur’an to be false? Where are the “uncorrupted Bibles” now to give evidence of the corruption of the Bibles we have today? When Muhammad had doubts, Allah told him to seek out those who studied the Bible in order to clear his doubts. Surah 10:94: “And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture that was before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not thou of the waverers.” (Pickthall) Those who read the Scriptures before Muhammad were the Jews and the Christians. They read the Torah and the Gospel. answer this question and see were it will land you: 1. When do you believe the Bible was corrupted, was this before or after Muhammad? 2. If before, does it make sense for Allah to direct Muhammad to seek out those read corrupted Scriptures to clear his doubt? 3. If before, why did Allah command Muhammad to seek guidance from corrupted Scriptures to clear his doubts? 4. If before, how can Allah say in the Qur’an that there is guidance and light in the Torah and the Gospels? (Surah 5:44-46) 5. If after, how is this possible since the current translations of the Bible are all based upon manuscripts that predate Muhammad? |

Lol. That was exactly why I told the other guy he didnt understand my previous post. In case you didn't see my previous post, let me answer you. ....................... 1. Muslim did not believe in the Gospel because we have seen it just like we believe Angels exist. 2. If a man comes and says he is an Angel, and he doesn't have the Qualities of an Angel we believed in, then we will quickly discard that man's claim. This is similar to why we muslims do not accept the Bible as the Gospel because we know the Qur'an clearly stated what the qualities of the Gospel which the bible failed to meet. ................................. The Gospel was given to Jesus truely, just like the law was Given to Moses. God would have preserved it for us if we need it. He would have preserved Moses for Jesus' deciples if they need them. But Jesus, a better man than Moses came to them, they dont need Moses but they believed in Moses. We muslims have the Qur'an which is better than Gospel, so we don't need the Gospel. ......................... Your last Question should be directed towards Allah not me. Only him knows why he chose to do what he does. I don't think you know what you are talking about, when they say, the gospel according to mark ,matthew ,john and luke. even in his dying breath, uttered curses.
Please recall Muhammad’s reason for
cursing the Jews and the Christians. He
said, “FOR THEY BUILT THE PLACES OF
WORSHIP AT THE GRAVES OF THEIR

accusation of Muhammad. We will look
at the facts recorded in the Bible.
Moses and Jesus ,they are very
important to the Jews, Moses to Judaism

Deuteronomy 34:5-6, God himself buried

christians and Jews from being enticed to

Muslims do with Muhammad’s tomb
after his death? Muslims built a mosque
on his tomb. His grave became a place
for Muslim pilgrims to visit in Medina
annually. The Prophet’s tomb at Medina
is, after Mecca, the site most venerated
by Muslims. It is visited with reverence in
the hearts of the faithful. Ironically,
these Muslims fell into the very class of
people, upon whom Muhammad
beseeched Allah’s curse.
Unlike Jehovah, Allah did not have the
wisdom or the insight to prevent the
causes that could lead to creature-

malvisguy212: In the middle of the confusion of the war on terrorism is the question of the nature of the religion of Islam. Some say that it is a peaceful religion at its heart, that only the fringe extremists are bent on war.
One side claims that "jihad" means a personal struggle against evil in one's behavior. Others claim that it means conquest of the part of the world that is not Muslim, by whatever means necessary, including acts of terror.
Both sides refer to specific passages in the Koran for support. For the soul winner, these are not the important issues. Bible believers are asking, "How can we reach Muslims with the gospel which will solve their struggle against evil?"
One way involves God's love. The biblical concept of God loving the sinner, is FOREIGN TO MUSLIM THINKING. To them, Allah is "compassionate" and "merciful," BUT only to those who obey him.
Their relationship to Allah is not as father and son but more as MASTER AND SLAVE. Allah is not pictured in the quran as a loving Creator, longing for an intimate relationship with man.
Biblical concepts found in John 3:16, 1 John 4:6-10 ("God is love" and in the Lord's prayer where we address God as "Our Father" are nowhere found in Muslim thinking. Muslims memorize the "99 beautiful names of Allah,"BUT "love" or "loving" is no where in that list.
"The love of God is the chief attribute of the biblical God as revealed in such places as John 3:16.God has feelings for his creatures, especially man"
But when we turn to the Quran, we do not find love presented as the chief attribute of Allah. Instead, the transcendence of Allah is his chief attribute.
"Neither does Allah 'have feelings' toward man. That concept is foreign to Islamic teaching. That would reduce Allah to being a mere man -which again is blasphemous to a Muslim."
"The greatest difference between the two faiths is the personal quality of God," writes Emir and Ergun Caner in Unveiling Islam. "ONE MUST LOVE Allah IN ORDER FOR Allah TO LOVE THAT PERSON IN RETURN .In Christianity, God loved people first in order to secure their salvation"
The story that Jesus told of the prodigal son illustrates a side of God that is foreign to the followers of Allah. The Quran states flatly that "Allah loves NOT those who reject Faith"(surah 3:32). "The Muslim can be totally sure that Allah will never restore a believer who has rejected the faith of Islam," we must show the Muslim that Allah offers "no love, no sure forgiveness of sins and only empty dreams of a false paradise."
Only Jesus, the God of the Bible, loved us while were yet sinners, offering sure forgiveness, and eternal life with a loving heavenly Father. |

malvisguy212: In Islam, it is not how one lives that guarantees salvation, but how one dies. To die while fighting the infidels in the cause of Allah is the only sure way for Muslims to be assured of a place in Paradise. Pious muslims will be taken to hell until the day of judgment.
Surah 9:111: Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs in return is the garden of Paradise: they fight in H is cause, and slay and are slain. (Yusuf Ali)
Surah 17:33: And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden EXCEPT BY RIGHT.
Surah 17:33 is an important verse for suicide-bombers. This Qur’anic verse not only justifies their own suicidal deaths but it also justifies the unintended killing of other Muslims in the process. Since the jihadist goal is to defeat the infidels and establish the right of Islamic rule at all cost, they believe the end justifies the means.
Therefore, the purpose of these suicide bombers is not just to kill themselves but to kill the enemies of Islam. In the mathematics of the jihadist, the most effective way to kill as many infidels is by means of this extremely evil method. The suicide bombers believe that they are rewarded, not for simply dying, but for dying as a means for killing. Thus, their own death is sanctioned by Allah and is accepted as a necessary sacrifice. They are honored as martyrs because they died in the fight against the enemies of Islam.
THE BARGAIN OF ALLAH It may surprise many to learn that all Muslims, including Muhammad will descend into “Hell” before being rescued from it on the “Day of Resurrection.” The “Day of Resurrection” or “Qiyamah” refers to the time of the end. This means that even as you are reading this article, Muhammad and his pious followers are in “Hell” awaiting deliverance. The following Qur’anic verse and Hadith attests to this teaching in Islam.
Surah 19:71: “It is the inevitable decree of your Lord that EVERYONE OF YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO HELL .”
THE ONLY WAY TO BYPASS THE PUNISHMENT IN SURAH 19:71.
However, there is a way for Muslims to bypass “Hell” and head straight into Paradise. Allah makes a bargain with Muslims to show how this is possible.
Surah 61:10-13: O YE WHO BELIEVE SHALL I LEAD YOU TO A BARGAIN THAT WILL SAVE YOU FROM A GRIEVOUS PENALTY ? – That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive your utmost in the Cause of Allah , with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement. And another favour will He bestow, which ye do love, – help from Allah and a speedy victory. (Yusuf Ali)
The above Qur’anic verses were written in the historical context of the Battle of Uhud (625 C.E.). In the Arabic Qur’an, the term Jihad is used in the above Qur’anic verses. “That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive (Jihad) your utmost in the Cause of Allah.” Since all Muslims, including pious ones will have to spend a waiting-period in the “Islamic-Hell” before reaching Paradise, Allah made a bargain with Muslims. He told them that if they die fighting for his cause, he will forgive their sins and will save them from the “grievous Penalty” of “Hell-fire.” In other words, there is no need to burn in the “Islamic-Hell” until the Day of Resurrection when the faithful among them will be rescued. Paradise will be instant for those who die fighting for Allah.
Till today, Muslim suicide bombers are motivated by this murderous bargain of Allah. Allah’s bargain is still in force in the Book of Hate. Islam reserves a place in Paradise for cold blooded killers.
Surah 9:88: “But the Messenger, and those who believe with him, strive and fight with their wealth and their persons: for them are all good things: and it is they who will prosper.” (Yusuf Ali) |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is It Necessary To Appeal To God For Objective Morals? by malvisguy212: 8:13am On Apr 28, 2016 |
PastorAIO: Only God can impose a subjective moral code on others. Okay.
Why must you impose your moral code, subjective or objective, on others?
Will it pain you if you can't impose your moral code on others? If so, why so?
He created us in his image so he can impose his morality on us abi?
Biko, why did he then not want us to have knowledge of Good and Evil, according to your source?
Why wasn't the moral code automatic when he made us in his image, instead Man had to eat the knowledge of good and evil first? do you think being moral mean your acts will earn you favor with God ? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is It Necessary To Appeal To God For Objective Morals? by malvisguy212: 8:05am On Apr 28, 2016 |
PastorAIO: Why must Morals be objective? By saying morality is objective, it means that certain actions are wrong simply because they are wrong. It doesn't matter if a lot of people recognize that they are wrong. When we use the word "shouldn't" or "can't" we are implying that their is a way we human can behave, and your isn't it. Human don't invent moral out of nothing. If morality is subjective, then statements like, "the Holocaust was evil," can be objectively true. If objective moral values exist, then this statement would be true even if the Nazis had won World War II and had convinced every human being in the entire world that the Holocaust was good. But if morality is subjective then the nazis german who believe the holocaust was Good will be indeed good for them. |

Christianity Etc › Re: "MORGAN FREEMAN" Comment About ISLAM And Religion. by malvisguy212: 8:46pm On Apr 25, 2016 |
In islam you get peace only when you surrender to Allah will.
Surah 9:29: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, even if they are the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued. (Yusuf Ali)
This verse does not say fight does who attack you first. NO, the verse say fight does who do NOT BELIEVE in Allah. You get peace only when you defect them. And the unbelievers get peace only when they surrender. |

HardMirror: What a daft god. So moses had to keep a leash on the psycho until he eventually killed moses. What a sad tale TheAgba: He choose the Israelites to be a blessing or a curse? He used the Israelites to kill yet you say to bless the whole nations. You indeed know not what you serve and preach. alright. |

TheAgba: You have a land and just because I have power more than you, I would then displace you of the land and say I am right just because I am more powerful? You're wicked like your God. I don't expect you to agree that God has been dishumane to mankind.
And please, you still have my questions up there staring at you. Also... Is God good because we say he is good or God is good because he says he is good? https://www.nairaland.com/2076306/gods-chosen-people-jews-isnt |

HardMirror: Ex32:1 its is the way your canal mind interpret the verse, the israelite are God's children, when they turn against God, God anger rose against them, moses had to pleaded with Him, we see such thing happen when moses was alive, on many occasion, moses pleaded with God. If God should destroy the isrealite, then the covenant He had with Abraham ,isaac and jacob will not be fulfill. Deuteronomy 9:26 I prayed to the LORD and said, "Sovereign LORD, do not destroy your people, your own inheritance that you redeemed by your great power and brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand. Many times moses had to intervene for the stubborn israelite. |

TheAgba: Please explain this to me.
God promised a promise land to the Israelites and that land has been inhabited by other tribes. "Since" God has called that land mass their promise land, he helped kill those who refused to give way for the Israelites. How does that justifies "lawfulness "? or "goodness "?
The reason why I'm taking this lightly is because you haven't answered my questions up there and I won't accept any derail. If God thinks then there are many other questions and deductions up there for you. Unless you're afraid of them. The people God gave the israelite their Land, they are worshipers of baal. This gods did not protect them when the israelite invade their land, why ? Because the Land was created by God. So the israelite possessing this land is by the command of God the creator of this earth. Their gods did not protect them. |
