Christianity Etc › Re: One Question, Three Different Answers by malvisguy212(op): 9:26am On Mar 26, 2016 |
malvisguy212: by Eric Lyons, M.Min.
Three times in the book of Acts, Luke the physician recorded non-Christians asking what they needed to do to be saved, and three times a different answer was given.
The heathen jailor from Philippi asked Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?,” and was told: “BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND YOU WILL BE SAVED” (16:30-31).
The Jews on Pentecost asked the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?,” and were instructed to“REPENT AND BE BAPTISED ” (2:37-38).
A few years later, Saul (later called Paul Acts 13:9) asked Jesus, Who appeared to Saul on his way to Damascus, “Lord, what do you want me to do?” (9:6; 22:10). After being told to go into Damascus to find out what he “must do” to be saved, Ananias, the Lord’s servant, commanded Saul to “RISE AND BE BAPTISED, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord” (22:16). The question that many ask is: “Why are three different answers given to the same question?” Are these answers contradictory, or is there a logical explanation for their differences?
The reason that three different answers were given to the question of salvation is because on each occasion the questioners were at different “locations” on the road to salvation. The rationality of such answers can be illustrated by considering what a person is told in reference to his physical distance from a certain city. If a friend calls me to ask how far it is from his house in Jackson, Tennessee to my parents’ house in Neosho, Missouri, I would inform him that he is 475 miles from Neosho. If he calls me back the next day, notifying me that he is now in Little Rock, Arkansas, and asks about the distance to Neosho, I would give him a different answer. He now would be 260 miles from Neosho. If,later that evening, he called me one last time and asked how far Fort Smith is from Neosho, again I would give him a different answer— 130 miles. No rational person would accuse me of contradicting myself, since each question was asked from a different reference point. Three different answers were given, but all three were correct. Likewise, the New Testament records three different answers given to the question, “What must I do to be saved,” because the sinners who asked these questions were at different places of understanding on the road to salvation.
The Philippian jailor was commanded to believe in Christ, because he had not yet heard and believed the saving message of Jesus (Acts 16:31-32; Romans 10:17). It would have been pointless for Paul and Silas to command the jailor to repent and/or be baptized when he had not yet even heard the Gospel. If today, a Muslim, Hindu, or Buddhist, asked a Christian the same question the Philippian jailor asked Paul and Silas, the same answer would need to be given.
Before ever teaching a Muslim about the essentiality of repentance and baptism, he first must express belief in Jesus as the Son of God. If this step (i.e., believing) is never taken on the road to salvation, the other steps are meaningless. [NOTE: The Bible reveals that after Paul and Silas “spoke the word of the Lord” to the jailor and his household, they believed and “immediately” were baptized (Acts 16:33).
By implication, Paul and Silas must have taught the jailor and his family about the essentiality of baptism after stressing the need to “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” (cf. Acts 8:35-36,38). Question: If water baptism has nothing to do with salvation, then why were the jailor and his household immersed in water not long after midnight (cf. Acts 16:25,33)?]
The Jews on Pentecost had already heard Peter’s sermon when they asked their question about salvation (Acts 2:37). Peter knew that they already believed, and that such belief came from hearing the message he preached (cf. Romans10:17). The Jews had passed the point of belief (being “pricked in their heart”), and were told to “repent and be baptized” in order to obtain salvation (cf. Mark 16:16).
Still, someone might wonder why Ananias told Saul neither to believe nor repent when he informed him about how to have his sins washed away. The reason: Saul already was a penitent believer in Christ by the time he came in contact with Ananias. Saul did not need to be told to believe or repent, since he had already done so. He knew the Lord existed, having spoken directly with Him on the road to Damascus, and he expressed a penitent attitude by praying to God and fasting for three days (Acts 9:9,11). At this point, Saul lacked only one thing: he needed to be baptized (Acts 22:16).
The reason these sinners were told three different things regarding salvation was because they were at different starting points when given the various answers. It is as if the jailor were in Jackson, Tennessee, the Jews on Pentecost in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Saul in Fort Smith. All wanted to go to the same place, but were at different starting points when they asked the question,“What must I do to be saved?” The unbeliever was told to believe. The believers were told to repent. And the penitent believer was told to be baptized. The three statements may be different, but they are not contradictory. For a person to become a child of God, he or she must do all three (see John 8:24; Luke 13:3,5; Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16). |

malvisguy212: To entice his followers to fight in suicidal raids and wars, Muhammad created an image of Islamic paradise that made it difficult for his followers to resist, The promise of everlasting sex with virgins. Muhammad knew for sure that sex would sell very well among his warriors.
Surah 4:24:“Also forbidden for you are married women, EXCEPT those who have fallen in your hands as PRISONERS OF WAR .”
Still the risk of death discourage some Muslims from participating in Allah’s wars. Hence, Muhammad came up with an ingenious solution to the problem. Thus, Muhammad designed an evil plan. He excited his believers with these promises:
Surah 44:54: “Thus (shall it be), and We will wed them with Houris, pure, beautiful ones"
The above quranic verse are in harmony with this hadith:
Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadith Number 3834: Narrated by Al-Miqdam ibn Ma’dikarib: Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “THE MARTYR RECEIVES SIX GOOD THINGS: he is forgiven at the first shedding of his blood; he is shown his abode in Paradise; he is preserved from the punishment in the grave; he is kept safe from the greatest terror; he has placed on his head the crown of honor, a ruby of which is better than the world and what it contains; he is married to SEVENTY-TWO WIVES OF THE MAIDENS WITH LARGE DARK EYES of ; and is made intercessor for seventy of his relatives.”
Muhammad was able to preach his message effectively using sex as a commodity in exchange for his men’s support to fight his battles, is a win win situation in fighting for Allah cause. Should a muslim fight, he will get his shear among the prisoners of war. Should the muslim got martyr in allah cause, he will be awarded with even beautiful virgin, it is not uncommon to hear Muslims say in boast to the infidels, “We love death more than you love life.” A religion that encourages death can only come from the one who brought death to the human race. The Bible describes death as an enemy. ( 1 Corinthians 15:26).
1 corinthians 15:25 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
Sensuality in the Koran inspires young Muslim men to die for Allah’s cause. A Holy God will never resort to sexual incentive as a means to secure believers. This is absolutely improper and blasphemous to the concept of Divine Holiness. However, in the Koran we find Allah promising Muslim men with pleasures of the flesh, both in this life and in the life to come. This makes Islam a very carnal religion. A |

According to most christians they say Jesus is Lord and in Lord is the same thing as God..in literary sense that means Jesus is God. In the bible it was written that Jesus was crucified and he risen up from the dead after three days So my question is who is in control of heaven and earth during the three days that he was dead when the disciples ask jesus to teach them how to pray, jesus begin like this "Our father IN HEAVEN" God the father is in heaven, it was God the son who incarnate in Christ the man. During the baptism of jesus christ, we saw the 3 at a particular point of time, the father was IN HEAVEN saying to the son "This is My beloved Son" and the spirit descend as a dove on Him. |

Here is the story; ================== I ran all over Lagos mainland looking for petrol to buy in my car. From 6 am I went from Magodo to Ikeja to Idimu but no luck- all the stations selling petrol were full with long queues. I was depressed and alarmed- my tank was almost empty of fuel and the car could die at any moment. I wandered the streets of Idimu defeated and emasculated. I was just waiting for my car to die.
I got tired of wandering aimlessly and I stopped at an empty petrol station. I sat down thinking of my life and why I was born a Nigerian. I wandered why I made the decision to leave Europe and relocate to this bastaard country. Then I took a look the the petrol station and thought if there was a God, there would be people at this filling station and I would be the first to get petrol. Lo and behold, not up to a minute passed before the station manager and pump attendants came out to start selling petrol!
I was the first person to buy petrol and I bought 15,000 naira woth of petrol in my car and some jerrycans. I was so happy that I bought so much petrol. But then again, did God answer my prayers?
Yes, did God answer an atheist's prayer? If God did answer my prayers, which God is it? I have a sticker on my car from the catholic church, so it could be Yahweh. I have a keyholder with the spaghetti monster (God of the pasta religion), so it could be Him. I bought my car from a muslim who said that the car would take me on special journeys "InshAllah", so it could be Allah.
So, here I am sitting in front of my laptop, ps4, hd tv with only my boxers on wondering which God blessed me.

truthman2012: Yes, it is the Hausas that are the true muslims, no wonder they don't pray behind a Yoruba leading prayer.
It is the Hausas that are actually following the words of allahh and his sole prophet, Muhammad. One of my wife's friends once lived in Zaria, Kaduna state. She said she had witnessed many Hausa muslims exchanging their wives. Allahh talks about exchange of wives in the quran. But ask a Yoruba muslim, he will say no.
Temporary wives (another name for adultery) as stated in the quran is also commonly practiced among the Hausas. Yet the quran condemns adultery. Which should muslims believe? Confusion.
One thing I have noticed about allahh, quran and muslims is that they are never consistent. Allahh would say something is bad today and say the same thing is good tomorrow. How do you follow that type of spirit? Is that not a clear deception? So, if allahh says no to marriage between father and daughter especially the one born outside wedlock, I wouldn't be surprised if he says yes in another verse of the quran.
Muslims' way of defending islam is using a contradictory verse to defend another contradictory verse. A verse says you can marry your daughter, another verse says no and when you say islam permits marriage with ones daughter and you quote the verse, muslims will jump out and say no, quoting a verse that doesn't support such an act as if both are not from the same quran.
Can you marry a non-muslim? Yes and no. See many of such contradictions here:

Op sorry but u're. a liar, even lai mohammed wil prostrate for you.
Read below:
"And marry not those women whom your fathers married, except what has already happened (of that nature) in the past. Lo! It was ever lewdness and abomination, and an evil way. Forbidden unto you are your mothers and your daughters, and your sisters and your father's sisters and your mother's sisters, and your brother's daughters and your sister's daughters, and your foster-mothers and your foster-sisters, and your mothers-in-law and your step-daughters who are under your mother-in-law and your step-daughters who are under your protection (born) of your women unto whom you have gone into -- but if you have not gone into them, then it is no sin for you (to marry their daughters) -- and the wives of your sons from your own loins, and that you should have two sisters together, except what has already happened (of that nature) in the past. Allah is ever-Forgiving, Merciful." [Noble Quran 4:22-24]
From the above verses, it is clear that a Muslim must never marry the following:
His mother
His step-mother (this practice continues in Yoruba land in Nigeria, where in some cases the eldest son inherits the youngest wife of his father)
His grandmother (including father's and mother's mothers and all preceding mothers' e.g. great grandmothers)
His daughter (including granddaughters and beyond)
His sister (whether full, consanguine or uterine)
His father's sisters (including paternal grandfather's sisters)
His mother's sisters (including maternal grandmother's sisters)
His brother's daughters
His foster mother
His foster mother's sister
His sister's daughter
His foster sister
His wife's mother
His step-daughter (i.e. a daughter by a former husband of a woman he has married if the marriage has been consummated. However, if such a marriage was not consummated, there is no prohibition)
His real son's wife
A great wisdom lies behind these prohibitions on the grounds of consanguinity, affinity, and fosterage. No social cohesion can exist if people do not keep these prohibitions in their minds while contracting marriages.
I seek refuge with Allāh from the accursed Shaytan. before you make comment, read the op very well, alright. I don't think you understand the verse you quote, yes, islam prohibit same marriage, UNLES the baby is given birth out of WEDLOCK. Surah 4:23, “Your wives’ mothers,” BUT DID NOT SAY, “He who committed adultery with his wives’ mothers, NOR HIS DAUGHTER WHOME HE CONCEIVED THROUGH ADULTERY.” Allah does not recognize the lineage of the daughter who is born out of wedlock. Secondly, it is because Allah did not forbid this form of incestuous marriage in the Qur’an. Al-Fiqh Ala al Madahib al Arba’a by Sheikh Abdurehman Jazri, Volume 4, page 40: “It is permissible for a man to marry his daughter who is born through adultery.” “The one (girl) who is born through adultery does not become mahram (to her father) as the Shafiee say, because she is not considered as daughter since there is no inheritance between them. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Ince$t In The Qur’an ??? by malvisguy212(op): 12:12am On Mar 24, 2016 |
Islam cannot be the true religion, According to Islam’s logic, it is like saying that it is wrong to drive recklessly and kill someone only if you possess a valid driving license. However, it is perfectly all right to drive dangerously and kill someone if you do not possess a valid driving license. Not having a driving license, somehow justifies your driving dangerously. Similarly, not having a legal marital status (marriage license) somehow justifies incest in Islam.
Surah 4:23, “Your wives’ mothers,” BUT DID NOT SAY, “He who committed adultery with his wives’ mothers, NOR HIS DAUGHTER WHOME HE CONCEIVED THROUGH ADULTERY.”
Thus, it can be noted that in this instance, incest between a father and daughter is sanctioned in Islam for two reasons. Firstly, it is because Allah does not recognize the lineage of the daughter who is born out of wedlock. Secondly, it is because Allah did not forbid this form of incestuous marriage in the Qur’an. As a result, a man’s daughter becomes permissible to him if he is not married to her mother at the time of her conception. |

There is a religious ruling in Islam that is taught and upheld by prominent Islamic scholars. This religious ruling reveals the approval of ince$t within its theology. a Muslim man is permitted to marry hisown biological daughter and consummate the marriage with her if she was conceived illegitimately. In other words, a Muslim man is permitted to marry his own biological daughter if she is born to him out of wedlock. The foundation for Incest in Islam is laid in the following verse:
Surah 25:54: It is He Who has created man from water: then has He established RELATIONSHIP OF LINEAGE AND MARRIAGE: for thy Lord has power over all things. (Yusuf Ali)
Al-Qurtubi is one of Islam’s premiere commentators. In his Commentary (Tafsir) on Surah 25:54, he quotes Ibn Al-Arabi (1165 C.E. – 1240 C.E.), the most influential author of Islamic history. He is also known to his supporters as al-Shaykh al-Akbar (The Greatest Master). Al-Qurtubi wrote: REGARDING THE TERMS “LINEAGE AND RELATIONSHIP THROUGH MARRIAGE”: “Lineage and relationship through marriage are two terms that describe the personal relationships that may exist between humans.” Ibn Al-Arabi said, “Lineage is an expression referring to the mixture of fluids between a male and a female from a religious legal point of view. However, if this union (between male and female) occurs through disobedience (fornication) then the resulting child is not considered a part of a person’s true lineage. That is why a daughter born from adultery is not mentioned in Allah’s saying, ‘Prohibited to you (for marriage) are: your mothers and daughters’ (Surah 4:23) because she is not considered a daughter according to the most authentic teaching of our (Islamic) scholars and the most authentic teaching of our religion. If there is no legal lineage then there is no legal relationship; for adultery does not prohibit (from marriage) the daughter of the mother (you committed adultery with) nor the mother of a woman (you committed adultery with). What is lawfully prohibited is not also prohibited due to sin, for Allah has bestowed lineage and relation through marriage upon His servants and greatly esteemed these relationships. Allah has also established laws identifying what is legal and what is prohibited, which are not equal to each other; therefore falsehood cannot be a part of these laws.” ( Tafseer Qurtubi, Surah 25 verse 54; Translated from Al-Azhar’s official website).
How can one illegal act (adultery) make another illegal act (ince$t) lawful? How can the sin of adultery (zina) nullify the sin of ince$t and make it an acceptable act? Can two wrongs ( adultery and incest) make a right? And the second wrong that is permitted in Islam with the blessing of Allah is ince$t between a father and his daughter. How does having a daughter from an adulterous relationship make her sexually permissible for the father when she is in every sense his very own flesh and blood? No matter how she is conceived, she still remains his biological child and should be sexually off limits to him. This is a gross violation of the divine standard of morality. Just think, will the true God permit incest intentionally? |

From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” John 16 16 “All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. 3 They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. 4 I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them. I did not tell you this from the beginning because I was with you, 5 but now I am going to him who sent me. None of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 Rather, you are filled with grief because I have said these things. In john 13, it was about peter betrayal, how he ignorantly follow jesus. And in john 14 , jesus is the way the truth and the life. BUT none of them ask Him , if He was going to the ONE WHO SENT HIM. |

“Farewell Discourse,”
The last address that Jesus delivers to his disciples, at his last meal with them, which takes up all of chapters 13 to 17 in the Gospel according to John. In John 13:36, Peter says to Jesus, “Lord, where are you going?” A few verses later Thomas says, “Lord, we do not know where you are going” (John 14:5). And then, a few minutes later, at the same meal, Jesus upbraids his disciples, saying, “Now I am going to the one who sent me, yet none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ ” (John 16:5).
He was asked where he was going in chapter 13 and 14 only for him to come in chapter 16 to alleged that none of them asked hhim where he was going..daffuqq??
It is Either Jesus had a very short attention span or there is something strange going on with the sources for these chapters, creating an odd kind of disconnect. Which

rexben: For your information,if i am under any influence,it is the influence of Jesus because i am His disciple/follower. I believe only in Him and His words like a little child. I will say the truth no matter how difficult it is. To enjoy freedom as i am,you need to believe and continue in jesus words and you will become His disciple. And you will know the truth and it will set you free John 8:31-32 you said the bible is not the word of God, and that, you believe in jesus. But you also quote from the same bible, in fact the passage you quote indicate the bible is the TRUTH. Seriously, you are confuse. |

promisechuks: The heretic gospel that is unscriptural is the gospel of "fath+right living = eternal life". So heretic, demonic and unscriptural.
Please, answer my questions and stop beating round your ignorance. what was your question. |
