hockeyoilers: 'Lord’ is used in many ways in the Bible, For example:
1) property owners (Matt. 20:8 2) heads of households (Mark 13:35) 3) slave owners (Matt. 10:24) 4) husbands (1 Pet. 3:6) 5) a son called his father Lord (Matt. 21:30) 6) the Roman Emperor was called Lord (Acts 25:26) 7) Roman authorities were called Lord (Matt. 27:63) check the Hebrew word for lord use in All the verses you provide and compear it with the one use for Jesus. Let me enlightened you a little: The bible passages you provide up there, lord was us to described those people because of WHAT THEY DO. But for Jesus, read here: Philipians 2:9-11 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the NAME OF JESUS every knee should bow,in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD , to the glory of God the Father. In this passage, the NAME given to Jesus is none other than "LORD." You see, that word is NOT used to describe what Jesus DOES; it's simply WHO JESUS IS . He is, and will always be, the sovereign ruler of everything in heaven and on the earth. |

NO. Sometimes we are afraid to approach God with real faith. Bollinger: I wonder why you don't have a thousand likes for that logical post? Anyway to add to it, if a man is born in a remote area of the world and he has never heard of Jesus but lives a pious and good life, are we saying that when he dies he will automatically go to hell? That makes absolutely no sense at all considering that the bible says one must accept Jesus and be born again to enter into the kingdom of heaven. you know, the world hate the world of God, an atheists blaspheme the name of God, everyone will exalt him , but hey, I'm not even concerns of large numbers of people who received my message but do not learn. I will be very happy if ONE soul read it and be save. Thank you. The saints will not be judge. John 3:18 "There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God's one and only Son. If you believe in Jesus, you will not be judge, only your Good deed will be remember, your bad deed will not be counted because Jesus has already pay the debt for you. For those who have not heard the name of Jesus; 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. dalaman: Which proof did you provide? malvisguy212: if you answer my question, then you will be clear on faith, is doubt the opposite of faith? The book of job is the oldest book in the bible, even older than the book of Genesis, there are amazing claims in the book of job that we cannot ignored , things ONLY God could've known. Job 38:16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth? We didn’t “walk in search of the depth [of the sea]“, I.E.,the deepest part of the ocean, until 1875 when we discovered the deepest point on Earth, the Challenger Deep in the Marianas Trench (although we weren’t sure it was the deepest point until much later). We didn’t fully survey it until 1951. We didn’t actually “walk” in it until 1960! But how does this prove the existence of God?Simply the fact that in most ancient cultures, the ocean HAD no bottom! The Greek word abyss, used for the deep ocean, literally means “bottomless”! And 3500 years ago, only God could have known with such certainty that the ocean did in fact have a “depth”!! Furthermore, in the same verse, a completely separate proof exists; for to the ancient mind, the idea of a “spring” in the midst of the sea was unthinkable and illogical. Why would there be water pouring INTO the sea from underground – the sea is where water came from! And mankind for all his technological achievements didn’t discover underwater springs until 1949 – A.D.! Almost four millennium after Job was written! And even then, it wasn’t confirmed until 1960, and it wasn’t until 1979 that human beings first saw deep-sea springs with their own eyes! No one but God could possibly have known they existed four thousand years ago! Job 38:18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all. Man didn’t measure the circumference (“breadth”) of the Earth with even remote accuracy until Eratosthenes did it in about 240 BC. But God knew exactly how large it was. For He sits “above the circle of it”. Job 38:19 Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof, Until roughly the time of Newton, no one knew that there was a “way” where light “dwells” – that is, a direction where light comes from. Photons, the particles that carry and, for all practical purposes, are light, weren’t discovered until Einstein. The ancient Greeks, arguably the most scientifically advanced of the ancient cultures, believed what we perceived as light was actually “feeling rays” sent by the eye to “look” at the objects, which reflected them and made a picture. None of the Greeks seemed to realize that the idea begged the question of why we couldn’t see in the dark. And they had had the clearest ideas on light to date! Well… except for what God wrote in Job, a thousand years before. Only God knew there was a place where light came from 4,000 years ago. No one really hit on the right idea – except in Job – until about 1000 A.D when the Arabic mathematician Alhazen realized the flaws in the Greek thinking. And it took another 500 years for his ideas to influence Europe through men like Galileo and Newton. And we didn’t REALLY start to understand it until a century ago. http://thesimpleanswers.com/2009/08/08/does-god-exist/ dalaman: Which proof did you provide? |
Christianity Etc › Re: 5 Reasons Why Jesus Is Not God! by malvisguy212: 6:04am On Jan 17, 2016 |
Jesus has TWO nature ? (GOD and HUMAN) there are things the Godly nature know that His human nature did not know. the fact. that Jesus was conceived of a HUMAN mother, proved he was human and the fact that the spirit of God was on this human (Jesus) make Him God.
Micah 5:2. "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have BEEN FROM OF OLD, FROM EVERLASTING." -
This prophecy revealed both the HUMAN and DIVINE nature of Jesus, in regard of His human nature, He was to be born in Bethlehem and in regard to His divine nature , He is from OLD "whose going forth is EVERLASTING" God is eternal. So when Jesus pray ,eat , fast, talk to God, e.t.c He does so because that's a duty of every human.
Op, do you want to know the reason why muhammed is not a prophet ? |

malvisguy212: Justification is the concept that provides our belief with the assuredness of its truth. People believe things for reasons, which provide the warrant for their belief.Without these reasons, you do not have knowledge of what you believe. If a belief is JUSTIFIED, then we have the right to believe it. Atheists got it wrong, there view was; " since you cannot know something with 100% certainty, you cannot obtain the truth (or knowledge), you just have to believe ,God did it". The bible say otherwise, in Isaiah 1:18 God is calling human to "come and let us REASON together"
This brief journey into obtaining knowledge of what you belief was done in order to show the relationship between FAITH,BELIEF AND TRUTH . Christianity requires faith, faith requires belief, and belief requires TRUTH.This is not just a mere belief but rather a trust that is characterized as knowledge.
Notice how Paul incorporates all three of these elements in his letter to the Romans, “if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). You cannot "confess with your mouth" without knowing the truth.
No matter how hard I try, I cannot make myself believe that there is a pink elephant in the room right now. I do not have direct free will over my beliefs, i.e. I can’t make myself believe something. I also cannot just tell people what to believe or exhort them to believe it. But if I don’t have free will over my beliefs, how can the Bible hold me responsible for them? The answer lies in the fact that I do have responsibility as to where I choose to focus my mind. I have free choice in body movements and where to place my attention (what you choose to think about). I have to choose to be preoccupied with something to change my belief or increase my certainty in that belief .Faith in the biblical sense means trust or confidence, confident in what we know to be TRUE. You do not have to be 100% certain in a belief for it to count as knowledge.
The bible say faith alone cannot save , why? because what you have faith in must be TRUE, Biblical faith is accurate knowledge combined with ACTIVE TRUST Faith and knowledge are not opposed to each other. So Trusting faith alone does NOT save, but instead what is trusted MUST be true.
The faith Jesus had was not an absence of knowledge, but was based upon an intimate knowledge of his Father. We too can gain knowledge to make our faith richer. |

golpen: Isaiah 9:6 says;
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God , Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
So it's is said in Christianity that Jesus is God. So if He died, then it means God died. (audhubillah). What a blasphemy! show me in the bible were it say, God died. Jesus died and resurrected and live forever more. But God the son which incarnate in Him do not die. Luke 23:46 Father, into your hands I commend MY SPIRIT - and having said this, he gave up the spirit" Jesus has two nature, divine and human nature, His divine and human nature were inseparably united. His divine nature, of course, could not die. He Himself said, "I lay down my life that I might take it again. No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again" ( John 10:17-18) So back to topic, were did muhammed got the idea from, christians and Jews worship at dead prophet tomb ? |

But my question is that, why must Jesus die on the cross before xtians are forgiven? But you're stylishly declining. wow, wonders they say shall never end, the surah say we shall remits for you your EVIL DEED. You can twist it as you can, the quranic verse is their for the open minded. |

Is it by righting your wrongs and then seeking forgiveness from God? Or
Someone has to die so you can be forgiven? you are still asking how is sin forgiven ? Doesent this verse answer your questions ? Sura 4:30-31, Whoso doeth that (evil deeds) through aggression and injustice, We shall cast him into Fire, and that is ever easy for Allah. golpen: Why are you mistranslating? You understand English my brother. The verse you quoted up there is clear enough, to say that sinners that are unrepentant will reap the fruits of their sins. No greater or small sins is talked about.
This verse is talking of the adversities that the sin you commit against yourself or any other has on you. Then the second part of the verse explains how sin is forgiven in Islam. Make right what you've done wrong and then benefit from the mercies of Allah by seeking forgiveness, lobatan. Not that someone has to die.
This means that you can't cleanse filth with filth. That's simple logic, and likewise, you can't cleanse a sin with someone's blood. That's idolatry.
See my brother, Islam is a religion that encompasses every aspect of human life. Imagine you are sleeping on your bed and someone comes to pee on you. In Islam, we should also respect animals. Asides that, there are spiritual implications but I want to keep it logical.
I stand to say that the concept of sin and forgiveness in Islam is more logical and better than any of other religions.
I still have my questions please answer them as I have answered yours. Thanks. I did not misinterpret anything, sura 6:120 was in harmony with Sura 4:30-31, why dint you explained it ? In sura 6:120 which sin are to be garnered?which result to award in paradise ? How is earning of sin reward you heaven ? Sura 4:30-31, was even clearer, if you avoid the great sin, what about small sin as indicated in the quran ? How is those hadith a logic to atoned for sin ? I wish you see the canal interpretation you imply, wiping of bottom is to clean dirt, yes, and its good. does it mean it a sin ? Here is one; Al Hadis, Book 1, Chap. 6, No. 140- Abu Raihanah reported that the Messenger of Allah forbade ten things: Sharpening teeth, anointing palms, plucking out hairs, a man lying with another man without under-garments, a woman lying with another woman without under-garments, a man putting on silk underneath his dress like foreigners, or his putting on silk upon his two shoulders like foreigners, plunder, riding on leopards, and using a seal excepting for one who is a ruler. Attested by Abu Daud, Nisai. What a silly law!! ridding of leopard ? Common sense will tell you not ride this dangerous animal, but if by chance you did ride it, is it a sin ? |

golpen: Can I quote biblical references? The most famous quote of the Bible of course! John 3:16 "for God so loves the world, that He gave His only begotten son and whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life"
This biblical reference above depicts that the reason for the acclaimed death of jesus is that sins may be forgiven. That is why I asked the question, if you believe Jesus was the son of God, why should someone sin against me and in order to forgive that person, I have to kill my own son?
Firstly, it doesn't make sense, and it would never happen. Secondly, it means their isn't forgiveness. Forgiveness is when you offend me and I let go without taking my retaliation from you or anyone else,so if someone has to die before humans are forgiven, then that's not forgiveness. That's retaliation.
And then I'll ask you to let us leave it at this, because if you should go forward to explain trinity to me, you're going to shoot yourself in the leg and enter into more poo. Let me ask you, how is sin being paid for in islam ? Do you think God who is holy and pure, who hate sin , He will ignored the little sin you commit? How did muhammed solve the problem of sin ? What was his teaching toward sin ? If you neglect how Jesus solve the problem of sin, yet you believe in this surah below , then their is satanic manipulation going on; Sura 6:120, Forsake the outwardness of sin and the inwardness thereof. Lo! THOES WHO GARNER SIN WILL BE AWARDED that which they have EARNED. So there is Hell to pay for great sins, but the small sins will be overlooked if the great ones are not committed. If you believe this doctrine, I pity you. Sura 39:53, Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal TO THEIR OWN HURT! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. This is small comfort. It is only forgiveness for the sins I have done to hurt myself "to their own hurt". What about my sins against other men and God? This is exactly why Jesus confront the religious leaders in His days, They refused to confront the holiness of God through "new birth," so they had to make an endless list of small sins to avoid, Al Hadis, Book 1, Chap. 7, No. 54- Ibn Mas'ud reported that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Don't cleanse yourselves (wipe your backside) with impure things, nor with bones, because these are the provision (food) of your brethren from the Jinn (demons)'. Attested by Tirmizi, Nisai I will make only brief comments. It is enough to just read these laws in Muhammed's legal system. I do not give these to mock, rather; I show you the mind of "The Prophet" of Allah. When sin cannot be paid, it is necessary to make silly little laws about the most mundane thing, like wiping your bottom after relieving oneself. Here is another such silly law: Al Hadis, Book 1, Chap 8, No. 58- Abdullah-b-Sarjas reported that the Messenger of Allah said: 'None of you must pass urine in a snake's hole'. Attested by Nisai, Abu Daud Why? There is no reason given. What is Allah telling us about urine and snakes? I am curious. The serpent is the image of evil in the Word of God. Why is Allah showing this consideration for snakes. Now compear this doctrine of sin thought in the quran were sin can be overlook and the bible, which of this doctrine of sin make man HOLY and BLAMELESS in God sight ? |

I don't have anything to proved to you, it is the work of the holy spirit to convicte you of your sin and how you need His grace. How do you atone for sin in islam ? Do you really believe God has a scale to measure sin ? Here what the quran say : Sura 4:30-31, Whoso doeth that (evil deeds) through aggression and injustice, We shall cast him into Fire, and that is ever easy for Allah. If ye AVOID THE GREAT (THINGS) WHICH YE ARE FORBIDDEN ye are, We will remit from you your evil deeds and make you enter at a noble gate. This imply that Allah will send you to hell for only great sin, little sins will be ignored. Do you think God will tolerate His law be broken so easily ? NO matter how hard you try, your effort cannot earn you salvation, if you believe , Jesus is your Lord and personal savior, your sin will not be counted, only your Good deed will be counted because Jesus has already PAID the price of your SINS. The bible say "He became sin so that we will be made righteous in Him" . But if you reject Jesus as your Lord and savior, you will be judge based on your bad deed, because you reject the plan of salvation on the cross. Remember the two thieves who were crucified with Jesus, one repented and accept Jesus, His bad deed were not mention, it was his Good deed which is recognized. If that thief would've reject Jesus, God will judge his bad deed. Ask yourself, why did Islamic doctrine denied the plan of salvation ? Which make man in perfect Holiness to God. But the option given in the quran indicate God will ignored sin. This is satanic deception. |

Now, what lead to this statement in matthew 11 ? The answer is because John the baptist question the Messiah ( Jesus) he say in verse 2 and 3 of the same matthew 11 : 2 And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples 3 and said to Him, "Are You the Coming One, OR DO WE LOOK FOR ANOTHER ?" If anyone should believe in Jesus with 100% sure, it got to be John, yet John doubt at some point. The truth is that this type of doubt strengthen our faith, the bible call is " a refining by fire" The bible say faith alone cannot save , why? because what you have faith in must be TRUE, Biblical faith is accurate knowledge combined with ACTIVE TRUST Faith and knowledge are not opposed to each other. Christianity is not a religion, its is a way of life, when the disciples ask Jesus to teach them how to pray, why did Jesus start with the phrase "OUR father" ? Instead of "MY father" it is because God is OUR father and we are His sons, who ever is saying this prayer, he automatically be among the sons of God, he is my brother and we are one big happy family, God is OUR FATHER. That's what Christianity is all about. So to my question, why did muhammed accused the christians and Jews of something they no nothing about ? |
