Brethren, there is no need fool unnecessary arguments for Bible is always there for us to study nd undastnd. It is all left for u to either choose d truth nd b free, or indulge in self-deceiptn/falsehood. Even d Bible warned against foolish arguments! I just hav few questions for u to answer. If our Lord is d same Jehovah God Almighty: (1) why did Jesus himself said d Father(Jehovah) is greater than him(Jesus), nd dat d Father sent him JOHN14:28? Ar u sayin Jesus lie against himself? God forbid! (2) why did Isaiah42:1-10 calld Jesus d "Servant of God"? (3) who was Jesus referin to as his Father in heaven in MATTHEW18:10 & 19?
if you don't understand the scripture, ask questions, don't pretend you know.

1. Yes, God the father is Greater than Jesus His son in the office, but in NATURE, they are EQUAL. Let me give you an example. Is the president Greater than you ? Yes! In office. But is the president BETTER than you in NATURE ? The Jews understand very well what Jesus is trying to say in John 5:18 "making himself equal with God" .

2. The rest of your questions show how canal minded you are, is a miracle you are still a christian, if you truly understand the bible you will not say such things. Now listen:
Philippians 2:5-8
"Your attitude should be the same as
that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in VERY NATURE OF GOD, DID NOT CONSIDER EQUALITY WITH GOD something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, TAKING THE VERY NATURE OF A SERVANT being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, HE HUMBLE HIMSELF and became obedient to death—even death on a cross!"

Do you still need explanation ? God is a spirit, can spirit die ? No, unless He take the nature of human, by taking it, Jesus has to give up His divine nature in other for Him to die for our sin.

3. You still have a lot to learn in the scripture. It was God the son who incarnate in Jesus, God the father is in heaven together with the Holy spirit. When the disciples ask Jesus to teach them how to pray , Jesus say "OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN" the father is in heaven and the son incarnate in flesh and dwell among us.

You need to spend more time with your bible. Thank you.

and what is the punishment for those who reject the Grace of God ? Listen!! God saw beforehand that mankind, given free will, many would choose death, hell, destruction. "Created for destruction" by their own choice. Yet He decided it was worth creating man for the joy of those who would choose salvation ( in christ Jesus) , life, God.

Surah 13:39: “Allah makes to pass

If Allah in the Qur’an manifests himself
as the arbitrary god who acts as he
pleases without even honoring his own
sayings, then he is acting in a way that is totally foreign to the truths taught in the Holy Bible. God does not change and neither does his teachings. Every
instance of abrogation is a problem for
the doctrine of an unchanging God.

Satan is described as the deceiver in the
Bible (Rev 12:9); Allah is described as the greatest deceiver in the Qur’an (Surah 3:54)

“And they (the Jews) planned and
Allah (also) planned, and Allah is the
best of planners.” Surah 3:54

The word translated “plan” by most
English translations of the Qur’an is
actually the Arabic word “makr”meaning
“To practice DECEITS or guile or circumvention, practice evasion or
elusion, to plot, to exercise art or craft or cunning, act with policy, practice
stratagem.”

Furthermore, Surah 8:30 offers
reinforcement to the notion that Allah
deceives:

“And [remember, O Muhammad],
when those who disbelieved plotted
against you to restrain you or kill you
or evict you [from Makkah]. But they
plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is
the best of planners (‘makr’,DECEIVER).“

The quran call Allah liar because Allah had no problem in using deceptive toung to deceive people, to lure them into islam.

are you a christian ? Jehovah witness ? Listen, the same passage say Jesus is the image of the invincible God, The word “image,”
meaning copy or likeness, expresses
Christ's deity. This word involves more
than a resemblance, more than a
representation. He is God. Now, what does it mean that Jesus is the image of the invincible God ? The answer is ; In the incarnation, the invisible God
became visible in Christ.

Now , when the bible say Jesus is the firstborn of ALL creation, do you know what that's mean ? In John 1:1 Jesus is the word of God . He is the FIRST word which proceeds out of the mouth of the tri-unity God, that is why He say I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE.
Note, the. Verse say firstborn and NOT first created.

MUHAMMAD THE BEWITCHED Sahih Muslim, Book 026, Number 5428: A’isha reported that a Jew from among the Jews of Banu Zuraiq who was called Labid b. al-A’sam cast SPELL UPON Allah’s MESSENGER (may peace be upon him) with the result that he (under the influence of the spell) felt that he had been doing something whereas in fact he had not been doing that . MUHAMMAD THE LIAR Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 369: Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah: Allah’s Apostle said, “Who is willing to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?” Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, “O Allah’s Apostle! Christianity Etc › Re: Whose Church Rocks Nairaland? by malvisguy212: 6:36am On Jan 24, 2016
If Christians were Christians, there would be no denominations in the
Christian world. If Christians were really Christians, they would not quarrel with one another, nor separate from one another, but rather would be members together in the "one body of Christ". Can you picture Jesus coming back to earth today and seeking out the fellowship of his own, walking the streets and looking at its Churches?

"This Church", his guide would say, "is a Baptist Church." "Baptist?" Jesus would ask, "What is a Baptist Church?"

"This Church", his guide would say, "is a Presbyterian Church." Jesus would ask, "What do you mean by a Presbyterian
Church?"

"This Church", his guide would say, "is a Catholic Church." Jesus would say, "I have never heard of a Catholic Church before".

Etc, etc, etc. After a time, Jesus would ask feebly of his guide, "Where is the church of God?" The Christian world today is torn into fragments (John 13:35).

Even the topic of this thread is worldly, canal interpretation of God church. "churches Rocks"

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do You Call Me Good? Analyze. by malvisguy212(op): 6:19am On Jan 24, 2016
malvisguy212:
In the Gospels, a rich, young man approached Jesus and said to him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus gave the infamous reply,“Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.” This story is
found in Matthew, Mark, and Luke; critics of Jesus’ claims to deity often use it as ammunition in their case for a non-
divine Jesus. It seems, they argue, that
Jesus is denying deity here by refusing
the title ‘GOOD’ as it is something reserved solely for God. I contend that even a surface-level reading of this narrative does not even remotely support that conclusion.
I don’t see how Jesus’ clarification of
God’s nature is equivalent to him
denying deity. This is akin to someone
coming to me and calling me, “Dr. Paul.” I respond by saying, “Why do you call me
doctor? No man can be a doctor, only he
who holds a doctorate.”

I can either mean one of two things:

1. No one can be a doctor unless he
holds a doctorate.
2. I do not hold a doctorate.
3. Therefore, I am not a doctor.

or…

1. No one can be a doctor unless he
holds a doctorate.
2. I hold a doctorate.
3. Therefore, I am a doctor.

By asking “Why do you call me doctor?”,
am I denying my title? Of course not. I
am simply clarifying what the title
means. I am neither validating nor
rejecting the title. In any case, I don’t
have a doctorate (yet!) but the point still
stands.

You can see how such reasoning is
completely absurd, and yet this is what
we see when critics use Jesus’ words in
this passage to try to show his non deity. Having said all of that, let’s have another look at what Jesus said in this passage.

He only said two statements:

1. Why do you call me good?
2. No one is good except God

The only piece of information that Jesus
gave is this: No one is good but God.
There are 2 ways to understand his
statement:

1. Only God is good.
2. I am not good.
3. Therefore, I am not God.

or

1. Only God is good.
2. I am good.
3. Therefore, I am God.

In this specific instance, from these
words alone, Jesus does make known to
us which of these he meant. It is both
ignorant and presumptive of anyone to
use this passage, alone, to argue for
Jesus’ non-deity. Why should the first
reading be the desirable one over the
second reading? Jesus’ statement that
only God is good does not, itself, tell us
whether he was affirming or denying
being God.

But if we keep reading, we find that
Jesus sheds some light on what he
meant. Jesus answers the man’s original
question about obtaining eternal life
with this“You know the commandments:

‘You shall not murder, you shall not
commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother.'”

The man responds :”Teacher, I have kept all of these since I was a boy.”

Then Jesus finishes with: “One thing you
lack. Go, sell everything you have then
come, follow me.”

To summarize: In response to the man’s
question, “What must I do to gain eternal life?”, Jesus responds by telling him to
follow the commandments. But which
commandments does Jesus list?
Notice that Jesus only lists the
commandments that dealt with civil
affairs. The Ten Commandments of
Moses were divided into 2 parts: Laws on
dealing with God and Laws on dealing
with others. Respectively, these were the
moral and civil laws. Jesus names the
civil law for the young man and the
young man responds like any good Jew
would, These I have kept since I was
young.” The man was doing great on
keeping the civil law, but not so much
with the moral law. Instead of then
quoting the first four commandments to
the young man,the commandments that
dealt with man’s relationship with God, Jesus told the young man, “Sell your
possessions and follow me.” In other
words, “Your god is your money. Get rid
of that and follow me.” Jesus is equating
obeying the moral law with following
himself. The manner in which men can
obtain eternal life is by getting rid of the
false gods in their lives and following
Jesus , replacing them with him!
This claim is monumental! And it gives us
an answer to our initial dilemma. Did
Jesus deny or affirm his deity in asking,
“Why do you call me good?” I think the
answer is clear in light of the rest of that
conversation with the young man. Jesus
equated following himself with keeping
the moral law and obeying the
commandments that governed man’s
relationship with God. Thus, in bringing
up this passage as ammunition for a
non-divine Jesus, the critic shoots
himself in the foot by bringing to the
table a text in which Jesus clearly claims
deity.

All four Gospels record Jesus peace be upon him as saying, "Blessed are the peace-makers; they will be called sons of God."

To say that God became truly a human being invites a number of questions. Let us ask the following about the so called 'man-God 'Jesus peace be upon him. What happened to his foreskin after his circumcision (Luke 2:21)?

Did it ascend to heaven, or did it decompose as with any human piece of flesh? During his lifetime what happened to his hair, nails, and blood shed from wounds? Did the cells of his body die as in ordinary human beings? If his body did not function in a truly human way, he could not be truly human as well as truly God. Yet, if his body functioned exactly in a human way, this would nullify any claim to divinity. It would be impossible for any part of God, even if incarnate, to decompose in any way and still be considered God. The everlasting, one God, in whole or in part, does not die, disintegrate, or decompose:

‘For I the Lord do not change.’ (Malachi 3:6)
Jesus has two nature, fully God and Fully man, christ was a man, it was God the son incarnate in Jesus the christ.

Micah 5:2
"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though
you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me one who will
be ruler over Israel, whose origins are
FROM OF OLD, from ancient times."

The fact that He was born at a particular point of time in Bethlehem proved he was a human and the fact that He was from OLD , "from ancient of days" proved He was divine, He has no beginning "God is eternal". This indicate Jesus has two nature, God and man, so when Jesus pray, fast ,eat, sleep, etc , He does so because that was a duty for man.

If Jesus was God, he would have sought worship for himself. Since he didn’t, instead he sought worship for God in the heavens, therefore, he was not God. Jesus worshipped the only true God

‘that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.’ (John 17:3)

‘he continued all night in prayer to God.’ (Luke 6:12)

‘Just as the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve’ (Matthew 20:28)
In no less than 12
instances, Jesus was worshipped by
various people - the wise men, the
disciples, a leper, a synagogue official,a woman of Canaan, Mother of Zebedee's children, a blind man, angels, and everybody in heaven. The Bible clearly indicates that God alone is to be worshipped.

Disciples did not believe Jesus was God

The Acts of the Apostles in the Bible details the activity of the disciples over a period of thirty years after Jesus was raised to heaven. Throughout this period, they never referred to Jesus as God. For instance Peter stood up with the eleven disciples and addressed a crowd saying:

‘Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.’ (Acts 2:22)
For Peter, Jesus was a servant of God (Confirmed In Matthew 12:18)
‘The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus.’ (Acts 3:13)
‘God raised up his servant’ (Acts 3:26)
Daniel 7:13-14
"I kept looking in the night visions, And
behold, with the clouds of heaven One
like a SON OF MAN was coming, And He
came up to the Ancient of Days And was
presented before Him. "And to Him was
given dominion, Glory and a kingdom,
That all the peoples, nations, and men of every language Might SERVE HIM. His
dominion is an EVERLASTING dominion
Which will not pass away; And His
kingdom is one Which will not be
destroyed.

Obviously, if the Son of Man were only
human, He would not be able to
establish an eternal kingdom. Likewise,
He would not be able to convince all
peoples to serve Him. Such abilities and
honors are reserved for God alone.

He think Allah is like his god who is a known deceiver according to his buybull, " O LORD, You have deceived me and I was deceived ; You have overcome me and prevailed. I have become a laughingstock all day long; everyone mocks me. " (Jeremiah 20:7)
Jeremiah is the speaker of this passage, if you read the context, you will come to the conclusion the reason why Jeremiah say those word. Their are MANY false prophet in isreal during Jeremiah time, infact Jeremiah is the ONLY true prophet, the rest of the false prophet prophesied peace when Jeremiah gave warning of the coming destruction upon isreal, but the people believe the false prophet and reject Jeremiah warning, then Jeremiah loose patience with God when he cried:

Jeremiah 4:10
"Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace"

Jeremiah believe this false prophet at some point,He later came to the truth that the Lord never spoke to these false
prophets, and tells us by whom those false prophets prophesied by:

Jeremiah 23:13, 16-17, 21,
"And I (the Lord) have seen
folly in the prophets of
Samaria: THEY PROPHESIED
BY BAAL ........ Thus says the
Lord of hosts: Do not listen

prophets who prophesy to
you...... They continually
say to those who despise
me, The Lord has said, you
shall have peace......... I HAVE NOT SENT THIS PROPHET , yet they ran. I have not spoken to them,
yet they prophesied."

This verse was spoken by God, God clarified the issue Jeremiah have, He say " I have not sent them " this is were Jeremiah realize his mistake.

Christianity Etc › Hope For Mothers, Infant Salvation. by malvisguy212(op):
A person is condemned for rejecting Jesus christ as his LORD and personal savior.

John 3:18
"He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God"

An infant is NOT capable of rejecting Jesus Christ. An infant is incapable of committing the sin mentioned in John 16:19 "about sin, because people do not believe in me"

Revelation 20:11-15
The Judgment of the Dead
11 Then I saw a great white throne and
him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead WERE JUDGE ACCORDING TO WHAT THEY HAD DONE AS RECORDED IN THE BOOKS. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.

This verse indicate the unsaved are ressurected and to be judge according to their work, WHAT EVIL WORK an INFANT HAS DONE ? Genesis 18:25 say ... "Will not the God of all the earth do right?" God doing the right things mean infant will Go to heaven.

Considered the compassionate heart for God toward the unbelievers. (1 Tim. 2:4, this is God's desire)."Not willing that any should perish" (2 Pet. 3:9). "Even so it is not the will of your Father, who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish" (Matt. 18:14). "I have no
pleasure in the death of the wicked " (Ezekiel 33:11). While these verses do not refer specifically to infants, they do teach us that the loving and merciful heart of our God desires the salvation of all men.

One thing we know, their are believers and unbelievers, their are people who reject Jesus christ and people who accept Him. A person decisions will determine his eternity, a person go to hell because he reject Jesus christ. WHAT DECISIONS AN INFANT IS CAPABLE OF MAKING ? Their is something we need to know here, the Age of accountability is not mention in the bible BUT everyone will ACCOUNT for his sin, what sin will an infant account for ?

There would not have been anything called islam today if Muhammad was bold enough to ask allahh some reasonable questions.

ALLAH SAID MUHAMMAD SHOULD CONFIRM QURANIC REVELATIONS FROM JEWS AND CHRISTIANS:

Allahh said Muhammad should ask the Jews and Christians if he was in doubt about what were being revealed to him:

And if thou
art in doubt concerning that
which We reveal unto thee,
then question those who read
the Scripture (that was) before
thee. Verily the Truth
from thy
Lord hath come unto thee. So
be not thou of the waverers
(Quran 10:94). With this quranic statement, allahh was in agreement with Jews and Christians.

So by the time allahh later said the Scripture of the same Jews and Christians were corrupt, Muhammad show have asked ''but you once referred me to those people to confirm your revelations, why are you saying their Scriptures is now corrupt? Didn't you know that before lord? When did they become your enemies?

ALLAH AFFIRMED JEWS AND CHRISTIANS WERE GOING TO HEAVEN WITH REWARD:

Lo! Those who believe (in that
which is revealed unto thee
Muhammad) and those who are
Jews and Christians and
Sabaens – whosoever believeth
in Allah and the Last Day and
doeth right – surely their
reward is with their Lord and
there shall no fear come upon
them neither shall they grieve.
Qur’an 2:62

I am sure allahh must have known that the Christians believe Jesus as Son of God or even God before he said they will have reward in heaven. But by the time allahh later said the Christians ascribe partner to him and that they are going to hell, Muhammad should have asked ''but you knew this before, why are you changing your mind now?''

If Muhammad was educated and bold enough and asked appropriate questions, he should have abandoned allahh's project of islam because it is a mere deception.
if anyone should read this thread and still believe allah to be all knowing, he is under the influence of a spell.

daddy truthman2012 can you just plz let's meet for an open debat?
so what's your point here ? Allah ask muhammed to make confirmation from the early scripture, then leter he claim this scripture are corrupted, is this the character of an all KNOWING God ? If muhammed should ask such questions, he would've known who allah really is. That is why the bible keep on repeating it " TEST EVERY SPIRIT IF THEY ARE FROM GOD".

Just a point of correction.
Yu said the early christians and apostles never called themselves christians.

Well i actually think that the reverse might be the case. As we can see from the following verse of scripture.

1 Peter 4:16 - Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on his behalf.
KJV

I've been enjoying your post though.

God bless.
1 Peter 4:16, "Yet if any man suffer AS a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify
God on this behalf."

there is something you don't understand here. First, this is the ONLY place in scripture the word "christian" were use by a man of God, Secondly, Peter did not label the followers of Christ a "Christian" The word "AS"means
"like or similar to," but it does not
mean one is that word. For example:

Genesis 49:9, "...he couched AS a lion," does not mean Judah was a lion when he couched!

Exodus 15:5, "...they sank into the bottom as a stone," does not mean they were a stone when they sank.

I read the quran and hadith to learn about mohammed.
I call him what he was.
He did some nice things like stopping the killing of female babies and improving female inheritance but he also did evil stuff, slept with a child, raped war captives etc

Look at my past topics , I have dealt extensively on this issue, look up topic from malvisguy212 and Truthman2012. They have brilliant articles exposing evil teachings in Islam.

Lol.. Why. ??

It still doesn't make sense brother, no matter how you try to squeeze it inside. Why will God refresh Himself?, why will He breath? He is not human, these are characteristics of humans. That is why I said the concept of God in Christianity is human and that's blasphemy. You can see the fault yourself, that's why you're trying to cover up for your religion.

See, HE is God. The all knowing. HE knew what everything would look like, so HE won't be surprised at the outcome, or see it was good. It would be good anyway, because HE did it. He doesn't need to breath and refresh Himself. Creating all those, don't increase his majesty and otherwise don't demote Him. That is God. Stop the blasphemy pls.

About having a son without a consort. It is in two ways. One is having a consort and the other is having a son. You see this two characteristics, they belong to us, HIS creation. It is not as if He couldn't do it if he wants, but He is far greater than that. He has given that attribute to man and animals. Will you like to think that your God has the same characteristics as an animal? "audhubillah" Think of it that way. Now that you're old, will you eat your rice with mucous like that of a small kid? You won't! But it is possible if you really want to do it,but you won't. Think!
I was ban , thank God I am back. So what you are saying here, God don't breath ? Refreshing yourself mean you are tired ? I told you before, its metaphorical meaning.

Surah 6:101:
“How can He have a son when He
hath no consort?”

Observe carefully how the carnal and
physical traits of humans are attributed
to God in this verse. No consideration
whatsoever is given for the divine infinite nature of God. Just because men on earth cannot have sons unless they
Cohabit with their wife, the quran say God cannot have a son without a consort.
