PastorAIO:
You have made an error.

Nobody 'creates' moral values for themselves. Morality is instinctive. You don't create sexual desire, it is an instinct. when you see a fine woman there is no contrivance involved in the raising of your phallus. It happens automatically.

Now that is probably a great example because just as there are a multiplicity of moral codes there also a variety of sexual types. Some phallus' raise for fat girls, some raise for short girls, others raise for chanel perfume, while others raise only for oyinbo. There is no single standard of a sexually alluring person. Sexuality develops along various lines in different people. So it is with Morality.
yes you are right, no other way to put it than to insert the word 'create" that why I say in some way.

For when Gentiles that have not the
law do by nature the things of the
law, these, not having the law, are the
law unto themselves; in that they
show the work of the law WRITTEN IN
THEIR HEART , THEIR CONSCIENCE BEARING WITNESS therewith, and their thoughts one with another accusing or else excusing them… Romans 2:14-15,.

The Gentiles did the things required by
God’s law, not because they had received any specific written code, as the Jews had, but because there exists an ABSOLUTE system of morals and ethics.
God established this system, which has
continued from the Creation until now.
God’s absolutes cannot be superceded by man’s will without drastic consequences, as the world around us bears witness. This same principle of moral absoluteness is see in scripture, because the Bible contains definite teachings that are not open to man’s personal feeling and interpretation:

And we have the word of prophecy
made more sure; whereunto ye do
well that ye take heed, as unto a
lamp shining in a dark place, until the
day dawn, and the day-star arise in
your hearts: knowing this first, that
no prophecy of scripture is of
PRIVATE interpretation . For no
prophecy ever came by the will of
man: but men spake from God, being
moved by the Holy Spirit 2 Peter
1:19-21,

When God speaks, it is not for man to
interpret via his own feelings what God
has said. There is an absolute system of
teaching, just as there is an absolute set
of morals, both are defined by God.

This one is more than circular, it loops and dives and 'boomerangs' upon itself in a variety of ways.

1) From the very start, you have God right there in the premises. 'God created everything'.

2) Why bother with the evil part. why not just say, God created Good and there are good things in the world so therefore God exists. The evil part is an extra appendage.

3) Evil is not a thing, and neither is Good. It is a functional state of things. Both are. A knife chopping vegetables for dinner is good for the diners. a knife stuck in someone's gut is evil. Good and evil functions can be found for just about any object. None of these suggest the existence of God in the slightest.

4)The idea of evil as a lack of deficiency of good is Rubbish. when a knife is slicing your guts nothing in the knife is deficient. The knife remains intact. Rather Good and Evil are interwoven like Yin and Yang. They are two sides of a single coin. You cannot say one side is based on the other side. The nonexistence of one is also the nonexistence of the other. There is no such thing as UP if there is no such thing as DOWN.
am busy now, I will reply you later ,God willing.

Yes, I believe that many people have invented their 'God'.

Command: What about the command that you give to a Computer?
What about all the commands that you give to yourself? When you want to lose weight and you put yourself on a diet, have you not commanded yourself to only eat so much and at set times?

Again, having a moral Law (objective or not) doesn't necessarily have anything to do with any Law giver.
If there is no single moral authority [i.e. no God] we have to in some sense 'create' values for ourselves ... and that means that moral claims are not true or false… you may disagree with me but you cannot say I have made an error.

Yes, I'm a theist. The word christian means nothing to me, but I'm a theist.

I do not agree that the presence of evil indicates that a god exists. If anything it actually casts doubt on the existence of God if indeed such a god is omnipotent.
https://www.nairaland.com/2294808/why-evil-disproves-atheism

The existence of evil actually
establishes the existence of God.
To explain why, we need to go back to
Augustine who puzzled over the following
argument:
1. God created all things.
2. Evil is a thing.
3. Therefore, God created evil.
How could a good God create evil? If
those first two premises are true, He did,
and this is a God problem. So God must
not be good after all. But then Augustine
realized that the second premise is not
true. While evil is real, it's not a "thing."
Evil doesn't exist on its own. It only exists
as a lack or a deficiency in a good thing.
Evil is like rust in a car: If you take all of
the rust out of a car, you have a better
car; if you take the car out of the rust,
you have nothing. g. In other words, evil
only makes sense against the backdrop
of good. That's why we often describe evil
as negations of good things. We say
someone is immoral, unjust,
unfair, dishonest, etc.
We could put it this way: The shadows
prove the sunshine. There can be
sunshine without shadows, but there
can't be shadows without sunshine. In
other words, there can be good without
evil, but there can't be evil without good.
So evil can't exist unless good exists. But
good can't exist unless God exists. In
other words, there can be no objective
evil unless there is objective good, and
there can be no objective good unless
God exists. If evil is real as the recent
headlines from France plainly reveal
then God exists. The best evil can do is
show there's a devil out there, but it can't
disprove God. The very existence of evil
boomerangs back to show that God
exists.

I've explained that Morality can be put down to Instinct. Like all instincts if it can be proved to facilitate survival then we can understand how it would evolve. Then Morality can serve also as an explanation for why people would invent a god as you are aptly demonstrating that you have difficulty imagining one without the other.
do you believe people just invent a "God"?"A command only makes sense when there are two minds involved, one giving the command and one receiving it." If an objective moral law has the property of being a command that we receive, then there must be an objective, PERSONAL, moral commander beyond individual or collective humanity.

I don't recall making any excuses for anything. I was simply answering your questions.

Genesis 3
The Fall
3 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

In this tale, was the serpent, an animal, evil? (Not that I believed the serpents talk, but I'm sure you do.)

another consideration: when A dog steals bone or meat will it stand there innocently eating the bone or will it immediately run away and eat it in a hiding place. If the dog has no sense of doing wrong then why is it hiding?

You've confused Legality with Morality. Slavery was once legal but it didn't sit right with some people's sense of morality and so they advocated to get it changed.

I have no record of Canaanites committing any evil. Perhaps you can tell me what it is they did. anyway, the bottom line is that according to you it can be okay to commit genocide and not be morally evil.

If you cannot blame the Hebrews as evil for killing Canaanites, then how do you want to blame Nazis as evil for killing Jews.
the context of Genesis 3 doesent seems to say the snake started speaking on his own, infacte, if you continue reading the bible, you will come to the understanding that its was satan who possessed the snake.

I did not in anyway supported genocide, the people you claimed God kill, are they Morally Equivalent? The dog steal the bone and run because of greed.

Let me give you one example :
When I trip up, falling is something I am
CAUSED to do, not something I am OBLIGED to do! The subjective morality, on the other hand, prescribes (but does NOT cause) actions that I am obligated to do or to refrain from doing. While I never fail to ‘obey’ the ‘law’ of gravity, I often fail to ‘do the right thing’.

What about Animals?? Animals make choices too, yes. Dogs, for instance, They love to poo everywhere but after some training they only poo in the right place. Of course the dog still feels like pooing but if it is in the house it must make the decision due to it's training to wait until it is taken for a walk before it poos. Is that what you're getting at?

No!

How are you sure that they don't make moral decisions?

Do you have any examples of any decisions that are not moral decisions?

Let me answer you with a similar question.

The Hebrews committed mass genocide against the Canaanites as recorded in the bible, due to directive from Yahweh. Will you call this directive good?
your excuse is lame and untruthful. The op was talking about morality concerning evil , you and I know dogs steal the bone of others dogs and NO one charge him for evil , animal have intercourse with any of their female animals and no one charge him for rape, why will you charge your fellow human of rape ?I maintain , objective morality proved the existence of God.

You say God commit genocide in murdering the cannanite but to you the evil this same cannanite commit is not Genocide, NEVER for once God oder the killing of innocent people.

The reason I gave example of the nazi and Jews is because ,if evil is subjective morality, then we cannot blame the nazi for killing the Jews , this proved the existence of God.

you know what ? The more you deny it the MORE I will continue to provide more evidence, your claim Mary was 12 and Joseph 90 was not in the bible, all christians know you are lying. Here is more:

Aisha was sill a baby when muhammed dream about her:

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62,
Number 15:
Narrated By ‘Aisha: Allah’s Apostle
said (to me), “You have been shown
to me twice in MY DREAM . A man
was carrying you in a silken cloth and
said to me, ‘THIS IS YOUR WIFE.’ I
uncovered it; and behold, it was you.
I said to myself, ‘If this dream is
from Allah, He will cause it to come
true.’”

Is this not a sexual fantasy of a pedophile? Aisha was only a baby when
Muhammad had this dream. Notice the
craving in his words, “If this dream is
from Allah, He will cause it to come
true.” To even think of a baby in terms of a wife is both outrageous and shocking. This gives us the legitimate
Reason to reject muhammed as a prophet.

Because humans have a moral instinct. Instincts are not Rational things and can be quite divorced from our thoughts and beliefs. For example, We all have a survival instinct. Why? Is survival better than death? Even people living in the most abject state of deprivation will still struggle to survive. Even people who believe in a better life after death will still do everything in their power to avoid death.

It can be argued that due to the fact that humans are instinctively moral we then project an image of a Law giver. In other words our instinctive morality is an explanation for why we've invented God rather than the other way of God being an explanation for our morality.

The big difficulty lies in the fact that no two cultures, nay, no two people share exactly the same moral code. This might point to a multiplicity of Gods. Otherwise we'd have to explain how a single Law giver would give such a diversity of laws to humankind.
what about animals ? Are you an atheist? Most atheists believe animals have soul , why can't they make moral decision ?

The nazi legalised the killing of the Jews in their camp, will you called this law good ( subjectively) ?

@Demmzy, one of the reason I may not agree with the issue on ages is that before 90yrs old, (as early as Genesis) Abraham (around 86) was past the years of pleasure and Romans described his body as being dead. David died at the age of 70 and before his death, 1Kings 1:2-4 shows how he was totally past the age of sexual pleasure! Therefore, for a man that was many generations after David, pleasure at the age of 90 is totally impossible!!!

Now let's consider Numbers 31:18
18 But all the young women who have not had sexual intercourse with a man will be yours.

Speaker: Moses
Audience: selected soldiers (not all Israel)
Event: After the retaliatory battle (see Num 31:2) against the midianites (the Old testament dispensation allowed tit for tat and the midianites were the initiators this time.)
Tenor of Command: One-off (Not to be continued)
Dispensation: Old

you did not explained a single thing my friend, will a grown up woman play with dolls ? And even seat on the prophet laps ? Aisha was a little girl who has not attain the age of puberty before muhammed marry her. You can insult me ,I am used to it.

Marrying a little girl in islam is permissible:
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62,
Number 63:
Narrated Sahl bin Sad: “The Prophet
said, “Go, I have agreed to marry her
to you with what you know of the
Qur’an (as her Mahr).” “And for those
who have no courses (i.e. they are
STILL IMMATURE ). (65.4) And the
'IDDAT FOR THE GIRL BEFORE PUBERTY is three months (in the above Verse).”

Here is one example of muhammed act:

Musnad Ahmad, Hadith Number
25636:
Muhammad saw Um Habiba the
daughter of Abbas while she was
fatim (AGE OF NURSING ) and he said,
“If she grows up while I am still alive,
I WILL MARRY HER.” (Source: Hadith.Al-
Islam.com)

Muslims should step out of the shoes of
Islam and look at their Prophet
objectively. What kind of man would look at crawling babies or at infants and
express his desire to marry them? What
was on his mind when he spoke those
words? Is this not an indication that he
was attracted to them at that very
moment he set his eyes on them?
Otherwise, why did he express his desire to marry them? His affair with young Aisha serves as a window into the
mentality of this man. He married her
when she was six and sexually assaulted her when she was nine-years-old. Could the fact that even when Aisha was a baby, he twice dreamed of her show the pedophilia fantasy of this man? And we saw how Islamic records themselves show that he wanted to claim other young victims as well.

The work of Apocryphal, is it the word of God ?can you proved from the bible , Mary was 12years old ?

Sunan Nas’ai (830-915 C.E.), Book of
Marriage, Number 3256:
“A’ishah said: The Apostle of Allah
peace be upon him married me when
I was six and had INTERCOURSE WITH ME WHEN I WAS NINE and I was
playing with dolls.”

Any need to analysed this ? This hadith explained it self.Muhammad married Aisha when she was SIX-years-old and she was taken to his house as a bride when she was NINE, along with her DOLLS. Sahih Bukhari,Volume 8, Book 73, Number 151 states that playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, BUT IT WAS ALLOWED FOR AISHA at that time because she has
not yet reached the age of PUBERTY.
Sahih Muslim clearly states that Aisha
still had her DOLLS with her when she
was taken to MUHAMMED'S HOUSE AS A BRIDE. Thus, it becomes clear that Aisha
was PREBUBSCENT when she was taken to his house as a bride.

Sahih Muslim, Book 031, Number 5981:
Aisha reported that she used to
PLAY WITH DOLLS IN THE PRESCENCE OF ALLAH MESSENGERS and when her
playmates came to her they left (the
house) because they felt shy of
Allah’s Messenger whereas Allah’s
Messenger sent them to her.

This hadith state that she Aisha "PLAY WITH DOLLS IN THE PRESCENCE OF ALLAH MESSENGERS" and when her friends came to play with her, they became shy of muhammed, unless you are being manipulated by satan , will you called someone playing with dolls an adults ?

The Hadiths clearly prove that when
Muhammad consummated the marriage with Aisha, she was still playing with her dolls at the tender age of nine. And Sahih Muslim, Book 031, Number 5981 confirms that Aisha was still playing with her dolls even after the consummation of her marriage. All these Hadiths prove that Aisha was prepubescent when Muhammad first had sex with her.

Another famous Islamic scholar, Al-
Khattaabee confirmed this when he
clearly stated:

“The only reason why permission in
this (playing with dolls) was given to
‘Aa’isha is because she had not, at
that time, reached the age of
PUBERTY.”

The bible NEVER for once encourage little children to engaged in sexual intercourse or even sin :

Mark 9:42: “Whoever causes one of
these little children who believe in
me to sin, it would be better for him if
a great millstone were hung round his
neck and he were thrown into the
sea.”

Why do people generally think that some actions are “right” and some actions are “wrong,” regardless of their subjective opinions? Why do most people believe that it is “evil” or “wicked” (1) for an adult to torture an innocent child simply for the fun of it? (2) for a man to beat and rape a kind, innocent woman? or (3) for parents to have children for the sole purpose of abusing them sexually every day of their lives?

Although objective morality may be
outside the realm of the scientific
method, every rational person can know
that some actions are innately good,
while others are innately evil. the man
who says that it is morally acceptable To
Molest little children, is just as mistaken
as the man who says that 2 + 2 = 5”
Most rational people do not merely feel
like rape and child abuse may be wrong; they are wrong innately wrong. Just as two plus two can really be known to be four, every rational human can know that some things are objectively good, while other things are objectively evil.

However, reason demands that
OBJECTIVE GOOD AND EVIL can only exist if there is some REAL, objective point of REFERENCE. If something (e.g., rape) can be legitimately criticized as morally wrong, then there must be an objective standard “some ‘higher law which transcends the provincial and transient’ which is other than the particular moral code and which has an obligatory character which can be recognized”

How can an atheists call something atrocious, wicked or evil? According to atheism, man is nothing but matter in motion . Humankind allegedly evolved from ape or should we say rocks and slime over billions of years. How could moral value come from rocks and slime? Who ever speaks of “wrong rocks,” “moral minerals,”or “corrupt chemicals ? People do not talk about morally depraved donkeys, evil elephants, or immoral monkeys.Pigs are not punished for being immoral when they eat their young. Komodo dragons are not corrupt because 10% of their diet consists of younger Komodo dragons. Killer whales are not guilty of murder. Male animals are not tried for rape if they appear to forcibly copulate with females. Dogs are not depraved for stealing the bone of
another dog. Moral value could not arise from rocks and slime.

The fact that humans even contemplate
morality testifies to the huge chasm
between man and animals and the fact
that moral value could not have arisen
from animals. Atheistic evolutionists
have admitted that morals arise only in
humans.

The moral argument for God’s existence
exposes atheism as the self contradictory, atrocious philosophy that
it is. Atheists must either reject the
truthfulness of the moral argument’s first premise (“If objective moral value exists, then God exists”) and illogically accept the indefensible idea that objective morality somehow arose from rocks and reptiles, or (2) they must reject the argument’s second premise (“Objective moral values exist”), and accept the insane, utterly repulsive idea that genocide, rape, murder, theft, child
abuse, etc. can never once be condemned as objectively “wrong.”
What’s more,if atheism is true, individuals could never logically be
punished for such immoral actions, since“no inherent moral or ethical laws” would exist.

Christianity Etc › Large Congregation Vs Few Quality Faith. by malvisguy212(op): 1:15am On Aug 09, 2015
The Lord always has been more interested in quality than quantity. What's in the hearts of the people in the pews is more important than how many people are warming the pews. God gave Gideon a sobering lesson in church GROWTH, taking him from 32,000 members clear down to 300. Again, God was looking for quality.

One philosophy that has successfully
driven church growth is"seeker friendly" services. GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT, AND AVOID ANYTHING THAT MIGHT DISTURB THEIR EQUILIBRIUM.
That way the church service can be
conducted in a way that appeals directly to the felt needs of the people who have been drawn in. Obviously, if its numbers you're after, this system works.
Unfortunately, what people feel they need doesn't always correspond to what they actually need. Jesus testified that there was no greater born of men than John the Baptist. Was John seeker friendly? Let's see how he did evangelism.

Matthew 3:7,
"But when he saw MANY of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to HIS BAPTISM, he said unto them, O generation of VIPERS, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?"

Is that any way to build up your
baptismal class? John's call was not to
develop the LARGEST CONGREGATION in Jerusalem, BUT to prepare a people
for the soon coming of the Lord.

PLAY IT SAFE.
Another way pastors use to increase
membership rolls is to "PLAY EVERYTHING SAFE" when it comes to
worship. Don't ever do anything that
might offend someone; they might
not return.

Well, the truth is, We are not here in this world to play it safe. Serving God wholeheartedly has never been the safest course to pursue. In fact, it often can lead to martyrdom. Let's take careful note of Christ's first recorded worship service after he came out of the wilderness of temptation.

Luke 4:14-15,
"And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a FAME OF HIM THROUGH OUT ALL THE REGION ROUND ABOUT HIM."

Everyone was praising Christ. Isn't that what we all crave? Isn't that worth playing it safe for? Isn't that what most of nowadays pastors crave for ? But one factor was a foretoken of trouble
ahead.

When Jesus stood up and read from
the scroll of Isaiah he was still on SAFE
GROUND.

Luke 4:22,
"And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?"

But then Christ BLEW IT . He dared to
make a clear application of the Scripture just read.

"And he said unto them, Ye will surely
say unto me this proverb, Physician,
heal thyself: whatsoever we have
heard done in Capernaum, do also
here in thy country."

meaning, Why don't you do miracles here in your hometown like those you did in Capernaum?

"And he said, Verily I say unto you,
No prophet is accepted in his own
country."

"And all they in the synagogue, when
they heard these things, were filled
with wrath, And rose up, and thrust
him out of the city, and led him unto
the brow of the hill whereon their city
was built, that they might cast him
down headlong." (Luke 4:23, 24, 28,
29).

The people in the synagogue were
furious. They tried to push Jesus over
the cliff! Jesus was very intelligent, so
I know he didn't just blunder. Even in
his own hometown he cared too much
for the people to merely play it safe.

Well known scholar, Sayyid Abul Ala
Maududi states in his Commentary on
Surah 65:4 in Tafhim al Qur’an, Volume
5, p. 620, note 13, regarding sex with
prepubescent children:

“Here, one should bear in mind the
fact that according to the
explanations given in the Quran the
question of the waiting period arises
in respect of the women with whom
marriage may have been
consummated, for there is no
waiting-period in case divorce is
pronounced before the
consummation of marriage. (Al-
Ahzab: 49). Therefore, making
mention of the waiting-period for
girls who have not yet
menstruated, clearly proves that it
is not only permissible to give
away the girl at this age but it is
PERMISSIBLE FOR THE HUSBAND TO
CONSUMMATE THE MARRIAGE WITH HER.

Now, obviously no Muslim has the
right to forbid a thing which the
Qur’an has held as permissible.”
Maududi affirms that it is not only
permitted by the Qur’an to marry
prepubescent girls but also to
consummate the marriage with them. He also adds that no Muslims has the right to question or forbid what Allah has permitted in the Qur’an.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Surah 65:4:
“The `Iddah of Those in Menopause
and Those Who do not have Menses
Allah the Exalted clarifies the waiting
period of the woman in menopause.
And that is the one whose
menstruation has stopped due to her
older age. Her `Iddah is three
months instead of the three monthly
cycles for those who menstruate,
which is based upon the Ayah in
(Surat) Al-Baqarah. [see 2:228] The
same for the young, who have not
reached the years of menstruation.
Their `Iddah is three months like
those in menopause. This is the
meaning of His saying.”

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62,
Number 64:
Narrated By ‘Aisha : That the Prophet
married her when she was six years
old and he CONSUMMATED HIS MARRIAGE WHEN SHE WAS NINE YEARS
OLD, and then she remained with him
for nine years (i.e., till his death).

Hadith Sunan Abu Dawud, Volume 2,
Number 2116:
“Aisha said, ‘The Apostle of Allah
married me when I was seven years
old.’ (The narrator Sulaiman said: “Or
six years.”). “He had INTERCOURSE
WITH ME WHEN I WAS 9 YEARS OLD .”

We have seen that the Islamic laws of
Allah allow husbands to engage in
intercourse with their prepubescent
wives. We have also discovered from the Hadiths that Aisha was nine-years-old when Muhammad had sexual
intercourse with her. Now we will look at
the evidences that prove that Aisha was
prepubescent when Muhammad first
had sexual intercourse with her.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 73,
Number 151:
Narrated ‘Aisha: I used to play with
the dolls in the presence of the
Prophet, and my girl friends also
used to play with me. When Allah’s
Apostle used to enter (my dwelling
place) they used to hide themselves,
but the Prophet would call them to
join and play with me. ( The playing
with the dolls and similar images is
forbidden, but it was allowed for
‘Aisha at that time, as she was a
little girl, not yet reached the age
of puberty .) (Fateh-al-Bari page 143,
Vol.13)

Clearly written.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Christian Faith Is Based Upon Evidence by malvisguy212(op): 11:44pm On Aug 08, 2015
malvisguy212:
Sometimes Christians have a mistaken
definition of "faith". Because faith is
sometimes described as believing in
things that cannot be seen, Christians
often think of faith as an act of believing
in things that have no evidential basis. In essence, some Christians believe that "true faith" is believing in something in spite of the evidence or believing in something when there is no evidence to support the belief in the first place!
BIBLICAL DEFINITION OF FAITH;
But this is not the Biblical definition of
faith. While it is true that God is a Spirit
and cannot be seen, it is not true that
there is no evidence to support the
existence of the unseen God. While we
may not see anyone throw a rock in a
pond, we may indeed see the ripples
that the rock created on the surface of
the water and come to the belief that
someone threw a rock into the pond on
the basis of this evidence.

The Christian life is more than a life of
blind trust. It is a life of rational
examination that challenges each of us
to evaluate the evidence, form a
conclusion and then share that
conclusion with the world around us.
Let’s examine the Biblical model of
evidential faith:
CHRISTIANS ARE CALLED TO USE THEIR MIND>>>>"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment." ( Matthew 22:37-38)

When we examine our world and the
evidence for the existence of God, we are worshipping God with our mind.it's either we love God with our mind or reject him, it's a choice.

CHRISTIANS ARE CALLED TO UNDERSTAND EVIDENCE>>>>Acts 17:31
31 because He has fixed a day in which
He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished PROOF
to all men by raising Him from the
dead.”
The Greek word used for "proof" in Acts
17:31 is "pistis". The word is derived
from "peitho" which is a Greek verb that
means "to convince by argument" that
something is either true or false.

CHRISTIANS ARE CALLED TO EXAMINE THEIR BELIEF>>>>1 Thessalonians
5:19-21
Do not quench the Spirit; do not
despise prophetic utterances. But
EXAMINE everything carefully; hold fast
to that which is good…
God wants us to know what we believe
and why we believe it. We’re not called to numbly trust everything that might be taught in our world today.Skepticism is important to the Christian
faith; skepticism causes us to examine
what we believe and search for the
evidence that confirms our beliefs. God
honors this kind of skepticism because
He knows that it leads to a deeper faith
in Him. There is a place for skepticism in the life of the Christian because it causes us to "examine the Scriptures daily".

CHRISTIANS ARE CALLED TO BE CONVINCED OF WHAT THEY BELIEVE>>>>2 Timothy 3:14
14 You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become CONVINCED of, knowing from whom you have learned them.
Conviction is the result of certainty, and
certainty is the result of evidential
confidence. We are called to be
convinced by mastering the evidence
that supports what we believe. The
Christians life is not one of "wishful
thinking" or "hope in the unreasonable". It is a life of certainty, grounded in the evidence.

CHRISTIANS ARE CALLED TO BE CASE MAKER>>>>1 Peter 3:15
15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your
hearts, always being ready to make a
defense to everyone who asks you to
give an account for the hope that is in
you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

Once we have examined the evidence
and have come to the conclusion that
Christianity is true, we are called to be
ready to make a strong defense for what
we believe.

IN CONCLUSION;
Christians can be "case makers" precisely because the Christian faith is an evidential faith. When we, as Christians, argue for the truth of the Christian Worldview, we are not sharing an opinion. There either is a God, or there is not. Jesus is that God, or He is not.
Salvation comes through Christ alone (as Jesus Himself maintained), or it does not. This is not a matter of opinion, personal preference or wishful thinking. The Christian faith is grounded in evidence that can be assessed and evaluated. The Christian faith is an evidential faith.

Demmzy15:
Why is my argument weak?! undecided Lemme first of all start with you!
read my thread, see my argument, I don't provide proof from outside the quran and hadith infacte I don't quote from a weak hadith. But qouting from the works of Apocryphal is a weak argument. Let me give you an example of a strong argument:

Islam not only allow old men to marry little girls, but they are allow to divorce them :
Surah 65:4
“And those of your WOMEN AS HAVE PASSED THE AGE OF MONTHLY COURSES ,
for them the ‘Iddah (prescribed
period), if you have doubts (about
their periods), IS THREE MONTHS , and
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NO COURSE(i.e.
THEY ARE STILL IMMARTURE) their ‘Iddah
(prescribed period) is three months
likewise, except in case of death] .
And for those WHO ARE PREGNANT (whether they are divorced or their
husbands are dead), their ‘Iddah
(prescribed period) IS UNTIL THEY DELIVER (THEIR BURDEN), and
whosoever fears Allah and keeps his
duty to Him, He will make his matter
easy for him.” (Hilali-Khan)

In the first category are the women who
have passed the age of menstruation.
The waiting period for these women is
three months. In the second category
are “those who have not menstruated
yet.”This group consists of prepubescent
girls who have not yet menstruated. The
iddah prescribed for them is also three
months. It is the divorced wives in this
category that will be the subject of our
discussion. Lastly are the women who
are pregnant. Their prescribed iddah is
until they have given birth.

As we have noted, the background of
Surah 65:4 deals with the issue of the
waiting period for the ex-wives after their divorce. This Qur’anic verse lays down rules for divorce and sets the prescribed waiting period after a divorce takes efect. It tells that the waiting period for divorced girls who has not even started their menstrual is three months. As stated earlier, the purpose for this waiting period is to determine if the divorced wife is pregnant or not. If she is found to be pregnant, her iddah lasts until the birth of the child.

Can you comprehend the full implication of this single evil verse in the Qur’an?

Surah 65:4 is clearly saying that Muslim
men can marry (and divorce) little girls
who have not yet reached the age of
menstruation. This means that according to Islamic theology, Muslim men are not only allowed to marry young children but are also allowed to have sex with them.

Since the purpose of the waiting period is to determine pregnancy, this means that Muslim husbands are permitted to
engage in sexual intercourse with their
prepubescent child wives.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62,
Number 63:
Narrated Sahl bin Sad: “The Prophet
said, “Go, I have agreed to marry her
to you with what you know of the
Qur’an (as her Mahr).” “And for those
who have no courses (i.e. they are
still immature). (65.4) And the
‘Iddat for the girl before puberty is
three months (in the above Verse).”

Giving away children who are far too
young for marriage became permissible
in Islam by reason of the law of Allah in
Surah 65:4.

You mean faith?
it is either you have faith in God or you do not, and when you do(have faith in God ) , you make sure you are 100% sure of what you believe. Bible never encourage the believers to have blind faith.

How does this make me aware of your God's existence? Don't you put the horse before the cart by asking me to believe there was a Thomas, a Jesus and a Judas; all these characters I am expected to believe to be truthful, and take that for God?!
I did not even ask you to believe.what caught my attention in your post is when you say
" I must either believe or assume a Spirit of God exists."which is what I don't agree with.you don't assume if God exist,it is either you believe 100% he does exist or you do not believe he exist.

So for me to find your God, I must either believe or assume a Spirit of God exists. Then accept certain effects as the handiwork of this spirit, and thus find God. Don't you think these are laborious assumptions to make?! Shouldn't I be more suspicious of the assumptions I make to prop up your God?
bible did not teach blind faith , the bible encourage the believers to be certain of their faith , Jesus did not forced Thomas to accept him , even when Jesus know, peter will deny him , he still allow it to happened,Jesus told judas to do what he ought to do , if you can't be sure of the existence of God ,you don't have to believe, first be sure of what you want to believe.

Yes according to the "Apocryphal" works.

I explained in my first post here what Jews consider adults. Read Mr. Man!
you have no shame ? Apocryphal works ?so your argument "Mary married at the age of 12 was because Apocryphal works indicate it ? Am sorry, your argument is weak.
