"Biblical knowledge" is not exactly education. It's hardly even knowledge.
you need to understand the bible and the context and be knowledgeable to understand the foreshadows event in the bible.the bible can never be read as a text book because the book of job may foreshadows what will happened in the book of john, how can you understand All this? For example isaiah chapter 46 verse 8 say God declared the end from the beginning, meaning God is telling us something in the creation story, how can you understand All this without the help of the holy spirit? Read this thread and see for your self. https://www.nairaland.com/1853536/end-days-end-harvest

May God deliver the op for misleading people. Romans 14:5-6 One man regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind. He who OBSERVED THE DAY ,OBSERVED IT FOR THE LORD , and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God. Colossians 2:16 Therefore let no one ACT AS YOUR JUDGE in regard to food or drink or in respect to a FESTIVAL or a new moon or a Sabbath day - things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance BELONGS TO CHRIST.
Op you acts as a judge, may God forgive you. Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

Again, simplistic religious assumptions. Your god is arguably the greatest purveyor of evil. In the OT, he sanctioned the killings of children, women and the rape of girls. In the NT, he sentences people to infinite punishment for finite sins in a very short lifetime. Tell me, what could be more evil, more sadistic?
you should have ask, why did God sanctioned the killing? God sanctioned the killing because He is the supreme God, other gods cannot sanctioned me for worshipping the most high God,if they can let them do it. Ask your self WHICH KIND OF GOD WILL COMMAND WORSHIP TO BE GIVEN TO HIM ALONE? What about other god? If this god is the supreme god, he will have protect the killing of his people, abi? Why will he allow the YAWEH to destroyed his worshippers? I know you cannot answer this question, LET IT BE SEALED IN YOUR HEARTH.

However, in the old testament, the major religion is the worship of the moon gods, God warned the isrealite in deutoronumy jerimaiah and isaiah about this moon gods. This worshippers sacrifice there sons and daughter for there gods, is this not evil to you? Am not surprise, an atheists does not understand good and evil.
Christianity Etc › The Shepherd Psalm by malvisguy212(op):
Psalm 23 has six verses. It is especially
appreciated by unsaved church people who like to think the Lord is their Shepherd when He's not. Unfortunately, some of the better known portions of Scripture are the portions that deal with anything except salvation. Perhaps the most well known verses of Scripture--or
portions--are the Sermon on the Mount, I Corinthians 13,the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer,
and Psalm 23. Now, the reason why
these are favorites is because nothing
in one of those passages could tell anybody how to be saved. And all
those passages assume the man is either an Old Testament saint or a
New Testament saint. So all unsaved
people like those portions of Scripture
that don't call their sins to their attention.

But since we(born again) are saved, we do know the Lord is our Shepherd, and that He is our personal Shepherd. And I can truthfully say that the Lord is my
shepherd individually.

This is the Shepherd Psalm.Psalm 22 deals with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and resurrection. Psalm 23, then, deals
with the relationship of the Lord Jesus Christ to the individual saint after the resurrection. And Psalm 24 plainly speaks of the Second Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Psalms are laid out in prophetic order: Psalm 22, the crucifixion; Psalm 23, a picture of the Church Age; and Psalm 24, a picture of the Second Advent.

Psalm 23 has a beautiful outline: In
verse 1 we have a happy life. In verse
4 we have a happy death. And in verse 6 we have a happy eternity. In the great Psalm, Psalm 23, we find the Lord is with me, He is beneath me, He is before me, He is around me, He is after me, and He is ahead of me. Psalm 23 is David historically speaking about his relationship with the Lord, and pictures the relationship of the Christian who's got into the right fold.

The Lord is my shepherd" Notice the personal wording. The Lord is not our
shepherd. The Lord is my shepherd.
There's a big difference when you get
to know the Shepherd. "The Lord is
my shepherd.

The Lord is my Shepherd:
That's Relationship!
I shall not want:
That's Supply!
He maketh me to lie down in
green pastures:
That's Rest!
He leadeth me beside the still
waters:
That's Refreshment!
He restoreth my soul:
That's Healing!
He leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness:
That's Guidance!
For His name sake:
That's Purpose!
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death:
That's Testing!
I will fear no evil:
That's Protection!
For Thou art with me:
That's Faithfulness!
Thy rod and Thy staff they
comfort me:
That's Discipline!
Thou preparest a table before
me in the presence of mine
enemies:
That's Hope!
Thou annointest my head with
oil:
That's Consecration!
My cup runneth over:
That's Abundance!
Surely goodness and mercy
shall follow me all the days of
my life:
That's Blessing!
And I will dwell in the house of
the Lord:
That's Security!
Forever:
That's Eternity!

What else would you say? There is actually nothing evil about the juju in your tale. But of course, you would resort to prevarications, prejudices, suppositions and assumptions about your juju. Many other juju believers would disagree with your suppositions. It is no surprise though, since juju is just a figment of your imagination. You can assume whatever suits your religion.
well, satan can never told you he is evil, an herbalist will say "his power is not evil" but most of this power will not come freely, it will cost you something soo dearly. But the different of this with a christian is "God gave us this power freely without conditions"

Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse
those who have leprosy, drive out
demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

God who talk about punishing evil deed and a pagan deity who seem not to show too much emphasis on punishing evil. Among this two, who is Good and who is evil?

I can't deny that you have many sensational tales to tell...tales rife with loopholes and untruths that you perhaps have convinced yourself to believe. Your claims remain unsubstantiated though.

Some questions I ask myself often concerning juju is this: if we have such incredible power at our fingertips here in Africa, why have we failed to harness it? Why hasn't the government invested in it? Why have we not found ways to amplify it? Why haven't we seen juju generate revenue for us? Why hasn't it increased our GDP? Do you have any idea how invaluable that dirty water used by the village priest in your tale could be to the arms market and militaries world over? Why is juju so elusive? Why is it so surreptitious? Or is there something fishy about it?
can evil produce good ?you cannot used the evil power of juju to produce good Jesus say in Matthew 7:18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a
bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
There is nothing good that can came out from bad.

Thanks Op, I love your question.

First we all grew up in a very religiously saturated society ladened with blatant nonsensical superstitions, a sophisticated African society where the average African believes the potency of Voodoo and spirit shenanigans but none have ever asked "How does this work?"

I have been superstitious before i agree, but look around you.
If you watch the Guinness book of record you will see people swallowing swords, eating glass and breaking bricks with their fist.

Someone could call these magical but they are not. . What we call Magic or spiritual phenomenons are just events we cant explain or clever tricks hidden from us.

We live in a society where old women and little children are being lynched, discriminated against in the name of witches, ask people to substantiate this claim and you get cock and bull stories.

Growing up believing spirits and spiritual mumbo mumbo, i grew to understand most of these fears were just in my mind and nothing more.

Have you ever wondered how these things work?

We grew up hearing madness was as a result of madness spirit/demon, now we know its nonsense. we have seen many claims of spiritual happenings both in nairaland and in real life but none have ever been substantiated before.

I have talked about a situation i had an argument with friends on the potency of voodoo and prayers, we were in ezeagu in enugu state, my friend invited a voodoo man, i brought out a stone placed it on a small stool and told them to make it fall without touching it, both to the voodoo guy and prayer guy. the prayer guy said the bible said "don't test god" the voodoo guy did some nonsensical jagons and left saying he would be back, i got up and gently pushed the stone out of the stool turned to my friends and said "See? i just did what your voodoo and prayers cant"

The potency of these spiritual stuffs are all in the mind of the person who believes them. i still watch magic shows now but thats just what they are MAGIC (tricks).

Their is nothing to explain in the spiritual, if anybody claims extra-ordinary powers let that person demonstrate it before you to substantiate his/claims.
We grew up hearing masquerades are spirits of our ancestors, we later found out its just some dudes wearing masks.

Any phenomena you don't understand, thorough scrutinization and investigation can show many things and what it really is not just label them spiritual because you lack understanding of what it is.

As i am now I have never seen any substantiated spiritual claim, when i believed those crap all we use to hear were cock and bull hearsay stories.
rubbish!!! I have seen with my two naked eyes when I attend calabar carnival with a friend, we decided to. Visit his village on reaching there, there village and neighbouring village are in war,to cut the story short, when my friend villagers were in the farm farming the enemy invade there housing burn it down, the news reach the villagers in the farm, All of them run straight to the village herbalist and the herbalist give them charm and berth them in a very dirty water, after they received the charm, they walk straight to the village were there houses is being burn, at the front is a little boy holding a broom, as the enemy is shooting there guns and arrow ,the little boy was waving the broom and the enemy bullets were stopping in there front ,nothing harm them, I was in far distance I saw this I could not believe my eyes, that day I take the first bus back to kaduna. I witnesses all this bro, charm are real. I have even seen a small boy beat a grown up man with the help of charm.

Oga Teacher you may as well give us answer to these inconsistencies in your bible since its the only scripture that is infallible.

The Errors of Bible Accounts

In the New Testament, there are contradictions between the genealogies of Jesus given in the first chapter of Matthew and the third chapter of Luke.

Both genealogies begin with Jesus’ father, who is identified as Joseph (which is curious, given that Mary was supposedly impregnated by the Holy Ghost). But Matthew says Joseph’s father was Jacob, while Luke claims he was Heli. Matthew lists 26 generations between Jesus and King David, whereas Luke records 41. Matthew runs Jesus’ line of descent through David’s son Solomon, while Luke has it going through David’s son Nathan.

The story of Jesus' birth is also contradictory. Matthew 2:13-15 depicts Joseph and Mary as fleeing to Egypt with the baby Jesus immediately after the wise men from the east had brought gifts.

But Luke 2:22-40 claims that after the birth of Jesus, his parents remained in Bethlehem for the time of Mary’s purification (which was 40 days, under the Mosaic law). Afterwards, they brought Jesus to Jerusalem "to present him to the Lord," and then returned to their home in Nazareth. Luke mentions no journey into Egypt or visit by wise men from the east.

Concerning the death of Judas, the disloyal disciple, Matthew 27:5 states he took the money he had received for betraying Jesus, threw it down in the temple, and "went and hanged himself." To the contrary, Acts 1:18 claims Judas used the money to purchase a field and "falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out."

In describing Jesus being led to his execution, John 19:17 recounts that he carried his own cross. But Mark 15:21-23 disagrees by saying a man called Simon carried the cross.

As for the crucifixion, Matthew 27:44 tells us Jesus was taunted by both criminals who were being crucified with him. But Luke 23:39-43 relates that only one of the criminals taunted Jesus, the other criminal rebuked the one who was doing the taunting, and Jesus told the criminal who was defending him, "Today shalt thou be with me in paradise."

Regarding the last words of Jesus while on the cross, Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34 quote Jesus as crying with a loud voice, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Luke 23:46 gives his final words as, "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit." John 19:30 alleges the last words were, "It is finished."

There are even contradictions in the accounts of the resurrection – the supposed event that is the very foundation of the Christian religion. Mark 16:2 states that on the day of the resurrection, certain women arrived at the tomb at the rising of the sun. But John 20:1 informs us they arrived when it was yet dark. Luke 24:2 describes the tomb as open when the women arrived, whereas Matthew 28:1-2 indicates it was closed. Mark 16:5 declares that the women saw a young man at the tomb, Luke 24:4 says they saw two men, Matthew 28:2 reports they saw an angel, and John 20:11-12 claims they saw two angels.

Also in the resurrection stories, there are contradictions as to the identity of the women who came to the tomb,[7] whether the men or angels the women saw were inside or outside the tomb,[8] whether the men or angels were standing or sitting,[9] and whether Mary Magdalene recognized the risen Jesus when he first appeared to her.[10]

As a final example of a New Testament contradiction, the conflicting accounts of Paul’s conversion can be cited. Acts 9:7 states that when Jesus called Paul to preach the gospel, the men who were with Paul heard a voice but saw no man. According to Acts 22:9, however, the men saw a light but didn't hear the voice speaking to Paul.

The foregoing examples are just a few of the hundreds of contradictions contained in the Old and New Testaments. Each contradiction is an instance where at least one of the verses is wrong. Thus, hundreds of contradictions mean there are at least hundreds of incorrect statements in the Bible.

Scholar8200:
Here you have wrongly compared the Messiahship of Christ to the Prophethood of Moses. The emphasis of Moses in the prophecy is the role of the Word to be spoken hence follows Deut 18:20,"20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die."
Here you add some embellishments that were not implied in the verse under consideration. Let's rather use what was the epilogue to Deuteronomy 34 :11-12
10 And there arose not a prophet like unto Moses, 11 in all the signs and the wonders, which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, 12 and in all that mighty hand . . .which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel". The emphasis to be considered as it concerns likeness is both in Word and Signs and wonders by the power of God, not the basically earthly ones you've referred to.

Moses' laws were part of the whole package of the old covenant. Centuries before the coming of Christ God had already declared that the new covenant, Jeremiah 31:31-33 will see Him writing His laws in our hearts (through His Holy Spirit symbolically called the Finger of God).

This had been the desire of God right from the time of Moses but it was not yet due see Deuteronomy 5:29
"29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!" God's desire is a life expressed/obedience from the heart; not a strained, forced compliance with rules and the former was the goal of the New covenant ratified by the Blood of Christ.
Moses laws were not in a vacuum, it was part of a covenant. The New covenant entailed the writing of these laws in our heart and the living out of these in the power of the Holy Spirit within.
Ezekiel 36:27," 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them."Let's consider the matter objectively; Deuteronomy 18:17
"17 And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." The issue of likeness here relates not to the earthly issues of place of birth, parentage etc Rather, the highlighted texts show what will be the key deciding factor: God (not an angel) putting His Words in the Mouth of the Reference.

Now, Jeremiah illustrates what God meant by putting His words in a person's mouth see Jeremiah 1:9,"9 Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth". Now this did not mean Jeremiah was Moses reference. There were many other prophecies concerning Jesus which Jeremiah did not fulfil.Note the operation of the Hand of God also in Exodus 31:18 "And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God."

When Jesus came, these were His Words,
1. John 12:49,50
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

2.John 8:28
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
3. John 7:16
16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
4. John 3:34
34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

In addition Moses went to receive the law in the full glare of all Israel (see Exodus 19:17-25) Jesus also received the Spirit in the full glare of the people after baptism (John 3:34, John 1:32,33) by Which He spoke the Words of God.

Besides we cannot but note the role of the Holy Spirit in the ministry of Moses (Numbers 11:25) and all other prophets in the Bible. Jesus had not just a measure of The Spirit's anointing but it was without measure John 3:34. Without the Spirit, there is no prophet.
nice job bro, God bless you.

As an atheist, I don't see sin.

I try to discern right and wrong, ethical and unethical, legal and illegal, safety and danger, etc etc.
I personally view homosexual acts as disgusting, BUT, take note, homosexual acts performed in the privacy of one's bedroom cannot ever be wrong, unethical, illegal or pose a danger to me.
Therefore, I don't ever have to think about about homosexuality until neurotic Christian hypocrites bring it up for discussion.

In my country, for example, hordes of rapacious evangelical fraudsters under the umbrella of PFN seem more dangerously sinful and destructive to my sociery than my gay neighbor.
you don't see sin?could it be you don't want to play by anybody rule that why you don't see sin?.
Sin is described in the Bible as
transgression of the law of God (1 John

But in human points of view about sin;
an immoral act considered to be a
transgression against divine law.
So, sin, wrong they are still indicating the same thing to me. I believe you are emulating Christopher hitching who fail to condemned beastility.
