true2god: @ Empiree,
You need not be angry. Neither Jesus nor the apostles (John, peter, james, philip, barthilomew, james, paul, mathias etc) partcipated nor traded in slaves. Why do you want them to right on evil they never participated or practiced (tho' there was slavery at that time)?
Mohammed, and his sahadas, (companions) on the other hand fully engaged in slave trade. The hadith and the quran (a supposedly litearal words from allah) fully endorssed slavery and prescribed how to have sexx with female slaves.
Dont blame me, blame mohammed and allah for not doing the right thing. You wont take my points rational as long as you take allah serios. muhammed is a false prophet; Qur'an 69:44-46 And if he (Muhammad) had forged a false saying concerning Us We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), and then certainly should have cut off his life artery (AORTA). [Hilali-Khan] So if Muhammad had been a false prophet and a liar and a deceiver, we know how Allah would've killed him— Allah would've cut his aorta. As long as no one severs Muhammad's AORTA Guess what? Sahih al-Bukhari 4428 The Prophet in his ailment in which he DIED, used to say, "O Aishah! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my AORTA is being cut from that poison." Meaning he is a false prophet Note:this is from Islamic source |

Empiree: The real reason Paul, Peter, Mathew, Mark, Luke and John made little or no reference to slavery in New Testament was because Old Testament was used to achieve their christiandom, christian civilization etc. They massacred and destroyed primitive people to get to the top. After they achieved everything they wanted, they now claimed their God is now peaceful. That He has renounced violence. That same God now transformed to three headed-god and he's peaceful and loving in New Testament. That's bu'llshit if you ask me.
But in the Old Testament, he is violent, detroyer, He was just killing men, women and children. He killed killed and killed and intimidated people. He then went for rehab and came out smiling, loving, caring, "no more crusade" bla bla bla after he already achived everything by violence. And almost everything about his violence past barely recorded in New Testament. In Old Testament, he had sword of Achillies, shield and armor and wore 'abaya'. After he came out from rehab as "nonviolence", he puts on suit and declared "no more crusade" after he already destroyed people's lives. And now he wants Muhammad to deal with the mess he created. Nosense you don't know what you are saying. According to Old Testament law, anyone caught selling another person into slavery was to be executed: "He who kidnaps a man, whether he sells him or he is found in his possession, shall surely be put to death." ( Exodus 21:16) In the old testament people volunteers to work for what they want just as Jacob did before he get married, for this God seth law to guide them; "If a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod and he dies at his hand, he shall be punished." ( Exodus 21:20). All what you wrote are from your own wrong idea. |

Maamin: We are not even done with the topic and you want to digress. But you forgot that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth..in which everything holds. And even the light..but it became desolate and void with darkness covering the face of the deep.
And I hope you are not remotely saying that God was not responsible for creation of light? my points is this, God allow evil to happened but the atheists claimed God is the author of evil which is wrong, there is not a single verse in the bible that say God did evil.the evil that was started in isaiah45 was not a moral evil,What the verse really is saying is that God decrees times of good things and times of judgment, people should not complained in view of there sin when evil befall them.you see my friends, when we follows the atheists points. God shouldn't have punished sinner in views of there sin. |

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these [things]." if God created evil ,don't you think we can see ,feel and touch it? /God allow it to happened because of the choice we make. |

muafrika: Malvisguy212 Do you believe that the world is under the sway of the wicked one(We really should define what the devil and evil is, later maybe,) and the principalities, powers and rulers of this world are altogether the gods of this age? If so, Is God still the ruler of the heaven and earth? If yes, does the position of rulership held by these powers of darkness negate the power or rule of God over and above the same principalities? And if all power ultimately rests and emanates from God, would we rightly refer to all these other powers, as the psalmist did in the opening post's quote, "the hand of God?" Consider Daniel 7:9-14. read this thread you may find somethings important in it. https://www.nairaland.com/1995965/athiest-claim-god-existed-prayer |

Maamin: Before time began or before mankind was created..can you kindly apply that verse (Isaiah 45:7) to pre-creation. What am saying here is that which ever way you twist it..God is responsible for all things just like the verse in the book of Isaiah made it clear. You said God does bring judgment and calamity (either directly or through human authorities) on those who rebel...now doesnt that suggest that evil and calamity can also come from all loving and good God?
Among the angels there are angels of death, that bring evil upon certain people whose God's judgement has been pronounced upon them. In a nutshell God makes peace he also create evil or calamity..it goes both ways but it all depends on our freewills, actions and inactions..everything is from him. let me give you an example of light; Genesis 1:3 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. Where is the light? It's on the surface of the earth for the first time. Where does the light come from. The text does not say directly, but it gives a lot of clues. Did God create the light? No! If God had created the light, the text would have said so, like it does in the rest of Genesis one. It says that God "let it be." Apply it to evil and see my points. |

Maamin: I gree with you to some extent..about the nature of evil not being among the fundamental forces of nature...but this does not imply the fact that evil was not from God. The Bible should be taking in it entirety, it is self explanatory. Isaiah 45:7 is very clear..all things seen and unseen came from God, the tree of life and that of the Knowledge of good and evil where created by God. However, the created beings (Angels, humans alike) where given freewills to choose to do good or otherwise but with a recompense. Now that verse in Isaiah is very explicit about where evil comes from, in Deutronomy 30:15 King James Bible "See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil..", this verse throws more light on the origin of evil.
The fact that God is light, and good and he is LOVE, does not limit him from creating all things including darkness, evil and hate. He has set all things before us but will also guide us and lead us through the right path only that way can we choose to serve and worship him in truth from our heart. isaiah45:7 was not talking about moral evil. Atheists preferred the king James version.let look into the modern translations; The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these. ( Isaiah 45:7, NASB) I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. ( Isaiah 45:7, NIV) Isaiah 45:7 contrasts opposites. Darkness is the opposite of light. However, evil is not the opposite of PEACE. The Hebrew word translated "peace" is shâlôm, which has many meanings, mostly related to the well being of individuals. Râ‛âh, the Hebrew word translated "evil" in the KJV often refers to adversity or calamity. There are two forms of the word. Strong's H7451a most often refers to moral evil, whereas Strong's H7451b (the form used here) most often refers to calamity or distress. Obviously, "calamity" is a better antonym of "peace" than "evil." God is not the author of evil. However, God does reward and punish on the basis of good and bad behavior. Therefore, God does bring judgment and calamity (either directly or through human authorities) on those who rebel. God will ultimately judge all people, since rebels will not be allowed in the new, perfect creation. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Did God Create Evil - Does The Bible Say So? by malvisguy212(op): 12:06pm On Feb 22, 2015 |
slyfox5555: The question is similar to asking why does "darkness" exist? Darkness exist because of the absence of Light. Evil exist because of the absence of God. God did not create evil. When you remove God's moral standards: you have a solid framework for evil. |

If there is freewill, then there exists multiple choices. Satan also had freewill right ? He choose from the choices he was presented with, unfortunately the wrong one.
Now, who presented those choices ? Who gave freewill ? In freewill, there comes life and death. And they both bring forth good and evil.
Now, who created those choices ? Who made freewill ? Did Satan create anything ?
If God is the beginning, and God is pure, prefect, holy, without impurity...etc, everything emanating from God , what brought impurity into purity ? What brought imperfection into perfection ?

johnydon22: Isaiah 45:7
Jubilee Bible 2000 I form the light and create darkness; I make peace and create evil: I am the LORD that does all this.
King James 2000 Bible I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create calamity: I the LORD do all these things.
American King James Version I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
American Standard Version I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil. I am Jehovah, that doeth all these things.
Douay-Rheims Bible I form the light, and create darkness, I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord that do all these things.
Now ask me again from whence evil came!!! I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. Isaiah 45:7, However, evil is not really a created thing. You can't see, touch, feel, smell or hear evil. It is not one of the fundamental forces of physics, nor does it consist of matter, energy, or the spatial dimensions of the universe. Still, skeptics like to claim that God created evil and cite the Bible to "prove" their point. The Bible is quite clear that God is not the author of evil and insists that He is incapable of doing so. |

Empiree: #yeyeman. Do you have any proof that Injil translated as Gospel by English man was recorded in the lifetime of Jesus?.
You see your argument is invalid as long as you have Bible according to everything except Jesus. One Gospel which seems different from chronicles is that of Barnabas...said to be blind "follower" of Jesus. thank you for the insult. In the Qur'an, Christians are referred to as the people of the book,if it not the bible, then which book it is? surah 5:47,48a It was We who revealed the Law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the Prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to God's Will, by the Rabbis and the Doctors of Law: For to them was entrusted the protection of God's Book, and they were witnesses thereto: Therefore fear not men, but fear Me, and sell not my Signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what God hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers. We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal.".... From this quotation it can be seen that the holy Koran highly esteems the Tawrat ("guidance and light" , and as having been revealed by Allah. Also a quotation from the Tawrat is given, which seems to be from Exodus 21:23-25, " But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise. Malvisguy212.. Yahweh was born. He is not self-existent. you have many thing to learn about the word of God. You see that skin colour of Jesus people argue about dos not count what matter the most is the spirit and word of God which the quran and bible called Him,because you a canal minded man,you will not understand,to you Mary give birth to Jesus but to me ,I will say she dint. In Surah 19:19, the angel Gabriel said to Mary: “I am only a messenger of thy Lord, to announce to thee the GIFT of a holy son .” Here, Gabriel refers to a son who was to be given as a “GIFT” by God to Mary. Since the Qur’an makes it very clear that the son is a GIFT from God, it shows that Mary was only the recipient of that gift. She is not the source of that gift but God. The gift belongs to God. The gift was a spirit from God,in other word the gift was God. |
