all4naija:With a population approaching 170million people, Nigeria needs at least 50 more universities that can take up to 50,000 students each. A well-educated population is very easier to govern than a population of mostly dumbos. |
anonimi:To some degree, OBJ did reform the military, made it a force for entire Nigeria, not a force dominated by one region of the country. What reform did Jonathan spineless do in six years in power? Those who nicknamed him clueless from beginning .... lol |
anonimi:Jonah spineless: by conceding to an ex-coupist, he undersigned the phenomenon of soldiers overthrowing a civilian govt, and after ruling, the soldier comes back in a democracy to be voted president. It is unbelievable that Jonah spineless did not see the danger he is leaving the country in. Unbelievable that he has no Plan B to leave Nigeria in better hands. |
And you conceded defeat to create more crisis in your main constituent support base |
Abagworo:Orlu-Umouwa-Nkwume Y Junction road - about 6km - remains scrapped; TESAC to St. Joseph's Chiurch Road - about 2km remains scrapped; Girls Secondary School (formerly Morning Star Girls Secondary School) - Orlu Road, about 1km remains scarapped; Amorji-Umudiatu Road about 1km remains scrapped. There are others. Close to 50,000 people living on both sides of these roads have been breathing dust in the last three and half years. Lung cancer is the possible utcome of inhaling dust for a long time. Do you, Abagworo, want Okorocha to commit mass murder in Orlu with your stance? Tufiakwa. We are watching. |
A campus of Alvan Ikoku College of Education was opened in Orlu by Mbakwe government in the 1980s after spending millions of Naira to realize the campus. As soon as Mbakwe left office, the Orlu campus was closed down, and students became massed up again in Owerri. If the Orlu campus was allowed, today it would have helped to accommodate more for the now upgraded AIFCE. Looks like in Imo state, there is a conspiracy by all that no other zone outside the state capital must have a university located in it. |
What else is expected from him? |
ROYALD:This is A. Ilobi Avenue, Orlu, about 300meters long; it is one of the three principal roads - all total of about 1.5km - which ORO scrapped and completed in Orlu Lga. Leave the three principal roads and move inside Orlu, you pity people who live in the town - dusty, uncompleted and blocked roads all over the place. Does ORO care? |
tobtap:With your mindset, by now we should be having about UI, UNN, OAU ABU, as only unis in Nigeria. |
freshness2020:In Orlu zone of 12 Lgas and with most of the population in Imo state, except secondary schools, the only fully govt run school is School for The Deaf, Blind and Mentally Handicapped at Orlu. Yeah, Prof. Onwuliri from Owerri zone is a great politician. This now is the third government university in Owerri which also hosts a Fed Poly - and Imopoly a stone throw from Owerri. Total of five govt unis and polys in in Imo state in one town - Owerri of 9 Lgas. Are Orlu zone politicians, including Rochas Okorocha, not only after their private pockets --- since time immemorial? |
Yawn. How can a man's heart remain this hard? Three-and-half years, ORO government made tens of thousands of inhabitants continue to breathe dust from roads scrapped in Orlu urban lga. Who knows how many has developed lung cancer, or even died? Whoever knows where ORO can be messaged? Too serious. Agwo no n'akrika for Naija o - |
ba7man:Which vote sent GEJ out? Are you a foreigner? Buhari was rejected thrice until BH did all the damage against Jonathan government. Buhari victory was from BH damage against Jonathan government. |
ba7man:The rag tag militants of BH that fought GEJ out of office were not the cream of northern engineers, lawyers, Professors, and other northern professionals. Una sabi blackmail in order to get better share of sweet crude; no be small. |
Jesusloveyou:So that you continue to have no resistance as you continue business as usual of exploiting mineral resources at his backyard. Una sabi blackmail trade, no be small. |
barcanista:Without Nigrria's government conceding a minimum of 50% for Resources to places where derived, without conceding political restructuring and fiscal federalism, Nigeria must keep calm when the southsouth and southeast conduct referendum on the area's continuous belonging to Nigeria. |
Nigeria had to lose Bakassi Penisula in order to defeat rebels. Why can't Nigeria now grant the 12 sharia states a new country to defeat BH and let every group in today's Nigeria have peace and develop? By adopting unconstitutional sharia criminal laws, the 12 states indirectly applied for a new country from Nigeria. One Nigeria was not made in heaven. |
lalasticlala:Perhaps Nigeria may spend most of her income, make most of her citizens join the army, make Nigerians fight and kill fellow Nigerians in a perennial fight against northern Nigeria BH religionists - all in order to protect Nigeria's integrity for the benefit of a tiny percentage of the country's population. How do we define mumus for some set of Nigerians? Give the sharia people their desired new country to end the BH thing. |
RIP; while the mumus in Nigeria continue to believe that one Nigeria was made in heaven; continue to believe that one day Islamic religion expansionism from north shall stop; instead of rest of Nigeria agreeing to granting that section of Nigeria independence to practice its religion the sharia way its people want. |
magaliyu:For six years, your lot depended on use of BH religious violence to make the tenant, Jonathan, vacate the Aso Rock house. That he agreed to vacate under that condition is the discourse. Your friends would not agree to vacate a house that way because of that criminal pressure. Una just de believe say others are fools in this country. |
Tribal blood is thicker than anything in Nigeria - Jonathan conceded defeat to please the Okupes and Abatis, et al, who refused to make any meaningful campaign contribution for Jonathan's re-election during the last election campaigns. During the campaign period, sometimes when Okupe or Abati spoke, one wondered whether they were on Buhari's campaigners list. Most of Jonathan's speeches appear never vetted by political pundits and speech writing experts; so what roles did Okupe and Abati play for Jonathan's campaign? |
cleatoris:You start your APC propaganda of falsehood here. You have no proof that Jonathan and Allison have any of those London houses, yet you come here to spread the falsehood like during the last political campaign when you sold to Nigerians and the International community that Jonathan was running the most corrupt administration ever in Nigeria. With that falsehood last election, Nigeria was returned to military dictatorship and impunity where people steal in millions of Dollars, like during the Abacha and previous administrations, with no questions to be asked. And a Buhari would tell you that Abacha was not corrupt, and you agreed. |
Those who ruled Nigeria in the last 40 years have practically acquired much of the most beautiful houses in the UK. But you can hardly see any person from former eastern region of Nigeria among the house owners in the UK. Perhaps 1%. LAST ELECTION, THE NORTH AND YORUBA FINALLY MADE A STATEMENT THAT LEADERSHIP OF NIGERIA IS THEIR EXCLUSIVE PRESERVE; THAT YORUBA AND NORTH CAN , AND MUST DECIDE WHICH AMONG THE TWO GROUPS WILL LEAD NIGERIA AT ANYTIME AND CONTROL OIL RESOURCES. ABOVE ALL, Yoruba SENT THE MESSAGE THAT THERE IS NOTHING LIKE SOUTHERN SOLIDARITY BETWEEN THE YORUBA AND REST OF SOUTH OF NIGERIA. NOTTHERNERS AND YORUBAS ARE BUYING UP LONDON WITH PROCEEDS FROM CRUDE OIL. BUT BACK TO NIGERIA, THE NORTH HAS DRIVEN AWAY MOST OF NON NORTHERNERS FROM NORTH; WHILE THE YORUBA THREATENS TO DROWN A PARTICULAR SET OF NON INDEGENES IN THE LAGOS LAGOON. ONE NIGERIA IS A SLAVE HOUSE FOR PEOPLE FROM OLD SOUTHEAST REGION OF NIGERIA. |
barcanista:Lol, the Buharis with their Yoruba collaborators only talk of corruption whenever any body from the former eastern region of Nigeria is at the helm anywhere. For the Buharis and the Yoruba, Sani Abacha, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Atiku Abubakar, Abdul Salam Abubakar, IBB - these are all not corrupt. |
To some APC people, especially those from the north, it sounds unbelievable that a President can willingly concede the powerful office of the presidency under this Jonathan's circumstance. If Jonathan were to be from north of Nigeria, he can't concede to anybody from the south under the circumstances of past election. If Jonathan were to be from north, Nigeria would have been in turmoil since the last election, after which a soldier would come to take over Nigeria. Now let's watch when it is time for Buhari to concede to someone else from the south, watch out for excuses from north, watch out for fighting and deadly violence from the north then. |
ShowYourCertificate:OBAsanjo has sprawled over the finances of Nigeria unhindered nearly all his life. Obssanjo that doubled as President and Petroleum Minister for years in his country, yet his Yoruba with their media they control never saw any bad in that. Alas, $16billion vanished under Obssanjo watch in just the Power Ministry alone. Even Hallyburton bribery scandal, Obssanjo was directly implicated. But Yoruba controlled media kept mum. Obssanjo accomplice in the scandal is serving jail time. But Yoruba condescended on current Petroleum Minister, Deziani Allison Madueke 247, as if she is a foreigner not supposed to be on the petroleum ministry. |
MichaelSokoto:I wish people like you have your own country where army generals rule you - one general after the other after overthrowing a democratically elected president rules you, gets money and political connection, retires or get bolted out, then come back when democracy is restored to ask you to elect him president. And you elect him president. People like you are liabilities to others in a fast advancing country. |
Will northern Nigeria religious extremism ever stop in Nigeria? Guess how many billions of Naira annually of other wise development money which Nigeria puts into fighting northern Nigeria religious militants. So long as crude oil flows in the Niger delta, Yoruba will not agree that beginning year 2000, some 12 northern states adopted sharia criminal codes; Yoruba will not accept that BH has minced no words that it is fighting for a country friendly with sharia criminal codes. As long as crude oil flows in the Niger delta, Yoruba will not calculate that there is no difference in what BH is fighting for and what 12 northern states started in 2000 when they adopted sharia criminal codes. Therefore Yoruba will not see that those 12 northern sharia states had indirectly drawn a borderline for their new country. Instead, Yoruba keeps on attacking the southeast people when SE people look far and make moves for new Biafra. |
North and southwest saw and shouted corrupt government in Nigeria the only time some people from former southeast region were managing the government and economy of Nigeria. In fact, Jonathan's administration was the least corrupt in Nigeria. The administration took Nigeria's economy to overtake South Africa's as Africa's fastest growing economy, and this despite the huge sums of money spent on stopping BH as well as the huge distraction of government by the insurgents. OBJ doubled as President and Petroleum Minister for years, who did he according to then? In fact, the last election deeply divided Nigeria. |
But Muhammadu Buhari said Abacha was not corrupt, long after Buhari even saw that Abacha's stolen millions of Dollars and Pounds sterling were being returned to Nigeria. Last presidential election, Yoruba-controlled Nigerian media covered all the Buhari gaffes, polished Buhari the saint, and SW/north voted Buhari president of Nigeria. |
Nigerian soldiers fast regaining their notoriety of looking down on Nigeria's civilians. That was after Nigerians voted a soldier, Muhammadu Buhari, to become Nigeria's president after Buhari sacked a civilian government and led Nigeria as HoS. Nigeria's electorate in that election assured Nigerian spldiers that Nigerian civilians do not worth it. |
And what brought revered Ojukwu into this Oshiomwhole discourse? |
TheSonOfMark:Amaechi not only sold out his conscience, he betrayed the struggles of the southsouth region and set the clock many decades back for the region's struggles. Amaechi occupies the seat of number one loser. |
