HiGod:Igbo asks Yoruba and others for only one thing: leave the Igbo alone and form your great one Nigeria. Yoruba cannot form one nation with the Igbo. So why do Yoruba do every foolish blackmail to persuade Igbo not to leave Nigeria? |
MosakuAW:Sonofabitch or daughterofawhore, please take note: Igbos are the least tainted with corruption in Nigeria because rest of Nigeria won the civil war and refused Igbo access to sources of money in Nigeria. And despite earning more than $800 billion from oil in and near Igbo land, Nigeria has not got even common electricity and pipe borne water. Nigeria remains in chaos. And you seem to be happy. Gerrout of the way. Love this Ohaneze chieftain. His choice of words is great. |
Is that how baba is going to fight corruption? he has to fight corruption by cutting off its root, not by hunting people for allegations of corruption. If baba wants to fight corruption head-on, let him have true and fiscal federalism returned to Nigeria; otherwise, as he embarrasses nearly every body in Nigeria, they shall get rid of his government - like they did before in 1985. |
Arrest of Jonathan's Chief Security officer as well as arrest of Dasuki are mere rehearsals on how to go for arrest and jailing of Jonathan and his ministers. Those who were born before 1984 and who knew how Buhari runs government can attest to this rehearsal. |
Chamber10:That is called Buhari flip flop. It shall continue like this till he lives Aso Rock. After contesting for presidency in 2011, Buhari noticed he was aged and pledged not to contest again. But Tinubu, the leader of Nigeria's self-appointed sophisticated tribe counted on Buhari's millions of almajiri voters and begged Buhari to contest in 2015. Is Nigeria not having an almajiri-made president also for the sophisticated tribe? |
Buhari receives witch-hunt documents, that should have been the title. Ntoor Goodluck Jonathan, Jonathan could have jailed Buhari for corruption if Jonathan was not clueless in Aso Rock. Does Buhari not know that unitary govt system is what causes corruption in Nigeria? |
Nonybb:You are most qualified to be in the zoo, never in an academic environment. |
The Igbos kidnapping Igbos is like they are saying; let this Igboland be overgrown with weeds and forests in the near future. The effect of kidnap in Igboland is you scare even Igbos from coming to Igboland. At some point, only the most impoverished will elect to live in Igboland. Igbo kidnappers in Igboland are low-lifers who hardly see beyond the nose. |
lordvamon:Must Okigwe and Orlu people be charged monthly dues to keep Owerri clean? Do you know how many human feet that hit this Owerri market in a day? Owerri with more than 130,000 poly and university students. Yet, Owerri people refuse that at least one of the five universities and polys in Owerri be transferred to either Okigwe or Orlu zones. |
Why? Owerri landlords and hoteliers did not stop Okorocha government from doing the demolition, the same way the government said they stopped him from relocating IMSU from Owerri to Ogboko? Lol. King weh de fool him subjects. |
merry02:Oh I thought I was the only person that heard Buhari say something like that during the period of election campaign. |
But during Jonathan administration, Buhari said he did not understand what oil subsidy was and why it should be maintained. |
In a 2007 lamentation about refuse in Owerri, an Owerri-born editor in Guardian newspaper titled his article "Owerri, From Gold To Dunghill" Stories of Owerri, refuse, dirt and congestion by students population did not start of recent. But most of the dirty photos on this thread are not from Owerri. |
chinolization:Owerri knows that the too many number of students in a city like Owerri is what regenerates refuse and dirt per second per second. In Nigeria, Owerri is unique in many things among which are being: the only state capital that hosts all five tertiary institutions in the state. the only state capital that frowns at government extending modernity to any other areas of the state outside it. only state capital that developed two cities in one state capital while the rest of the state remains nearly like the day Imo state was created. only state capital that may not be bothered if the state's monthly revenues are hugely used in keeping the expanding capital city clean. |
chinolization:Suggest more universties for Owerri, Lol. |
Whynotthetruth:Lol. Ohakim in four years made refuse disposal in Owerri eat large chunks of Imo state budget, but he hardly made any development scratch outside Owerri. Okorocha never truly intended to move IMSU to Ogboko. If he truly wanted, there should be no "they" to stop government moving a university it funds to any location it wanted. He merely used the rumour of relocation of IMSU then to acquire land for his private university. |
NIGERIALOLoCOM:U know why Anambra people continue? Only a few Imolites would spare time to counter the dirts these Anambra people pour on Owerri, since Imo state was systematically reduced to Owerri - any modern infrastructure in Imo can only be found in Owerri, some in multiples. |
Whynotthetruth:They could be Rochas propaganda crew but Rochas does not listen to their return reporters. By the way, who doesn't know why Owerri gets easily filled with refuse? With all all five federal and state universities and polytechnics in Imo located only in Owerri, and with about 130,000 students population. Even today, if the federal government is bringing another university to Imo state, landlords and hoteliers in Owerri must insist it is located in Owerri. And governor Okorocha will say okay, because he doesn't want any university located in Orlu area, owing to fear of competition with the private university he is building in his home town near Orlu. So refuse in Owerri cannot stop, unless any Imo govt devotes disproportionate sums of the states annual revenue to clearing refuse in Imo state capital city. |
cindicandy:Abeg clear way. This is Chino's handiwork. He does not like Imo state and Okorocha. These photos here, Chino collected them from wherever, he has been showing most of them on NL in their last two years. Mind you, I am not standing for Okorocha. Okorocha scrapped many urban roads in my Orlu in the last three years and left them like that. |
Whynotthetruth:Do you believe those are truly Rochas propaganda people? If they are, Rochas should be reacting to criticisms. Methinks Rochas and people in his government never read the papers or online publications. |
Chino, who made you hit front page with all these your many years old collection of adulterated photos you call Owerri? |
SHoPhisci-Satered SW, why do sophisticated people still remember the past? |
Clerverly:Hate-filled Peter. Destined for the lagoon. |
@ aresa, as you said, so because your lot felt that the SE was pillar of Jonathan's administration, you sold yourself wholesale to a Buhari group that hates democracy, and applies federal character only when it suits their people? Small small, truth shall emerge - truth as to how Buhari who was rejected thrice by the SW was suddenly made a saint in 2015 by SW media. |
Emperortj93:Reuben Abati accused President Yar'Adua of running a government of Nigeria by the north, for the north. What Buhari is doing is not new. It's been like that each time a northerner is in power. North sees Nigeria's wealth from the south as war booty. |
Is old age not making Buhari blind to Nigeria's Federal Character Principles? For short, Buhari' is most ridiculous presidency so far. |
reuben79:If SW and North, according to you, are mates in Nigeria's politics to exchange apex political power among themselves, they should also be ready for a new country of SW and North. No country where inequality reigns ever stands. |
imhotep:Tell them. Tell them that APC was founded on tribalism - ethno/religious bigotry directed against some Nigeria's groups that produce about 80% of the country's wealth. |
soe:Yeah, it's like hot pix of abundant electricity, Naira equal to the Dollar, etc. which you were promised by Buhari. |
In the SW, the number of those that benefited from Baba Awo's free education and political brinkmanship has drastically reduced. What we have now are southwesterners heavily trained in almajiri school of thought. |
Why must Akande make unfounded allegations that northern oil barons were sponsoring crisis in APC? After all, APC which has origin in the SW brought power to the north - power which the north had been seeking to reclaim since the death of ex-president Yar'Adua? Sophisticated Yoruba delivered power to the north; but North does not like democracy, north likes to retain power, and this time may retain power till thy kingdom come. Sophisticated SW indeed ![]() |
Yevgeny:Crude oil patriot, the mention of Biafra sends cold shivers into your spinal cord. You believe you can't survive without crude oil in the Nigerdelta. |
