asha80:Rochas has a special dislike for Orlu, nobody except Rochas knows how the dislike originated.. He even destroyed infrastructure that already existed in the city. By the time Rochas goes, nothing prevents an other Orlu zone governor emerging. So long as Owerri zone is capital and continues to refuse other Imo towns from urbanization. |
ejiyke2007:ORO is development-minded but his political problems now: he failed to understand that a politician must start being good at home before being good outside. The mess ORO created in his Ideato/Orlu/Njaba/Oru/Orsu constituency, the big neglect he gave to the constituency, ORO's open denial of development projects due to them - these are now ORO's nightmare. Building road is not just it. If ORO gave the place 1/20th of what it deserved from Imo state govt, ORO should have won second term, even without any campaign now. |
Once upon a time, I saw a Chimp jogging. |
Buhari shall not only be beaten silly, he shall be beaten roundly - and he deserves the beating. Only in a country of animals can a Buhari win presidential election. |
emmaliver:Most of those screaming Buhari, Buhari, Buhari were born yesterday. They have got no clue. |
LRNZH:Tufiakwa, the crowd you see here in Owerri shall more or less be made up by the same people if Goodluck Jonathan is coming tomorrow. Buhari is only campaigning for power back to his born to rule. If successful, born to rule MUST cease power even for the next YxYxYxYxY -donkey years. The Buhari clan wants to hold power for long so as to preserve the existing 36 states+Abuja political structure with unitary govt system which favour the Buhari people. Kano/Katsina states alone with all their myriad LGAs take home huge sums of money after every allocation day. When the Buhari clan was in power for about thirty years, all federal roads in the SE were not motorable, sometimes luxury buses had to travel through the bush; as Onitsha-Owerri-PH road and Onitsha-Enugu roads, etc., remained non-motorable all those years. Worse, if civilians tried to fill the potholes on the main road, they were nearly shot by police/army and told that they were joking with a federal road. Goodluck Jonathan has done more good to Nigeria than any of his predecessors, despite the war waged against him. Only an ignoramus Igbo who does not know what is at stake next presidential election can for vote Buhari. |
I hope all the native doctors in Imo state shall assemble now and cleanse Imo state by the time Buhari has left with his crew. |
Count Number 46 : Okorocha campaigned in 2011 to move the seat of Imo state government around the 27 LGAS of Imo state - meaning he shall extend development to all of Imo state. But except extending roads to the other 26 LGAs of Imo state, Okorocha governed Imo state in four years as if only Owerri Municipal Lga represents Imo state |
eleko1:Llol!! folks, beware, before long, people from across the Niger far far, shall migrate to this thread to play their usual divide and rule. |
garrix8:Guy, dem spotted terrible spot in PH and showed it, you assumed the spotter is Igbo, you went exploding - you suck, belong to the zoo. Well sha, I blame some Igbos who had time to peer into what goes on in Rivers state - as for me and my friends we no get time. If Rivers get 100 oil wells, the southeast may get about half that including gas, and above all, the population and trained manpower - and SE is very very content with what it has. So go suck more. No Nigerian leader can have the gut to SaWiwa Igbos, none can colonize oil well in the SE; if much of the oil is in SE, headquarters of NNPC and major oil coys must be in the SE, in fact that formula should have been more than 13%. Look, if you guys don't quickly come to your senses, at the appropriate time, you shall remain with your half brothers in the big Caliphate. |
Let me hear anybody from any of the five states in the SE say that pipe borne water flows steadily in his/her state. |
teufelein:Lol. Igbo governors that do not know that pipe borne water is the first thing a government must provide the people - before any other thing. Wow!! Igbo people that do not ask for first thing first. |
Rochas? Rochas Okorocha of Imo even destroyed a sports stadium which previous government built in his state's second largest city, Orlu. No youth sporting activity took place since Rochas' four years. The destroyed stadium cost hundreds of million of Naira. |
chidekings:My dear handsome/beautiful nigger, Nigeria has too many problems but Boko is the worst. Boko has been making the government spend a hell of money fighting it, and worse, distracting the government. Buhari said that sharia criminal laws like stoning women to death for adultery and chopping off hands of petty thieves which Boko said it is fighting for ought to be implemented in all over Nigeria. Or don't you live in Nigeria to have heard when Buhari said that fighting Boko Haram is like fighting Buhari north? |
chidekings:Are you still undecided? GEJ IS ON TOP OF THE SITUATION. Buhari CAN'T GO AFTER BOKO BECAUSE HE SAID THAT BOKO ARE FREEDOM FIGHTERS. |
Bmark:But the road to a rigged election started more than five years ago with Boko intimidating Nigerians to believe that Jonathan is a weak leader. That intimidation made many Nigerians who feel that they are insecure under Jonathan presidency to troop to an alternative party which turned out to be APC that Buhari is now running under as presidential candidate. So who has since been rigging the election process? You don't seem to understand that the process of using violence to intimidate the voters away from a particular presidential candidate also amounts to rigging election? |
Menace2Society:If you are Igbo, you are one of the most unsuccessful Igbos. You can't see what is good for your future and offspring. That's why you remain unsuccessful. |
LordNaya:Lol!! But how many votes shall the hotels and broad roads in Owerri win Okorocha next election? Novice? When a politician deliberately inflicted a heavy punishment upon an area that gave him the highest number of votes first time.... ORO made tens of thousands of people in Orlu LGA breathe dust for three-and-half years; dust from the too many roads ORO left scrapped for three-and-half years till today - with possible mass development of lung cancer. Wicked, OMG!!!! |
If former Chairman of National Population Commission, Festus Odumegwu, could leave NPC because gov. Kwankwaso said that his north would not want Odumegwu to conduct the next census, there must not be any fuss if Attahiru Jega leaves INEC now, since many leaders from the south of Nigeria, including former VP Alex Ekwueme, SAN Femi Okunrounmi, former federal Information Minister Edwin Clark, etc., had persistently stated that they see Jega as being biased and requested that Jega does not conduct the next general election. In Jega truly sees himself as a neutral person who has no ethnic or religious interests to protect in the next election, he should have quietly resigned over these expressions of distrust on him. |
The young man is mentally deranged. If he was not mentally infirm, a 32 year old man could have easily sneaked out from Anambra state to Damaturu to rejoin his family, without even a day's argument with his father over that. |
eaglechild:Listen, I am writing to you as a veteran health officer: FMC Owerri and IMSUTH Orlu are even more than enough for tertiary health care needs of people of Imo state - one of these well expanded and equipped could be enough. Even in the richest countries of the world, just one large tertiary hospital well equipped for referrals is meant to serve a region or state or province like Imo state. Further Health Research works are enhanced with that. It is abnormal to have another referral hospital like the one you call specialist hospital in Umuguma in Imo state, unless it is specializing in cure of one special type of infirmity. Even in the richest countries: - every stroke patient or patient with persistent headache is taken or referred to a tertiary (referral) hospital - like FMC or IMSUTH in Imo state -for CT scan - not in an ordinary hospital. - every woman above forty years books appointment in a tertiary hospital like FMC or IMSUTH in Imo state for mammography. - every patient discovered in any general hospital including the one at Umuguma to need further medical examination books an appointment with a referral hospital like FMC or IMSUTH for medical examination. It's no point hiding under the notion that FMC is of federal government, therefore use that to argue for creation of another quasi teaching hospital in Umuguma, near Owerri, or even in our bedrooms; more so, when the state's teaching hospital is yet to be completed; otherwise, you are asking for FMC to be created in the other 26 LGAs of Imo state; or at best in Orlu and Okigwe. |
spott:You are celebrating win from an election not yet conducted. Lol!! You shall be dazed when it dawns on you that Buhari did not become president of Nigeria. Bigots itching to impose a hardly literate man to rule Nigeria with all sorts of educated persons. |
eaglechild:It is even less than 20 mins drive to from Owerri or Umuguma to Orlu. Only bad road is the three or so km road from Nkwume Y junction near Orlu to IMSUTH itself. They rumour that Okorocha deliberately left the roads to IMSUTH nearly closed since he came to power, I don't know how true; but I know that Okorocha brought life back to IMSUTH at the beginning of his tenure. The machines you want duplicated in Umuguma are for referrals; none of those machines are used for daily consultations in a doc's clinic. We need to exercise patience, the road to IMSUTH shall be repaired and returned to normal after next election, so all of Imo state shall easily connect to IMSUTH for the referrals it is meant for. Leopantro: you can travel from Owerri to Orlu and back - two times, before you can travel from Ikorodu to Badagry. |
eaglechild:FMC Owerri serves everybody, does not serve only federal civil servants. There are CT scans and MRI, dialysis, mammogram machines, etc., in the state university teaching hospital, Orlu, about 20 minutes drive away from Umuguma or from Owerri; FMC Owerri is also well -equipped. What other difficulty could people in Imo state go through regarding availability of these health machines? Mind u the machines are usually for medical referrals -last resort treatment, not day-clinic machines. Or you just want MRI, CT Scan, Dialysis machines, Mammogram machines, etc. etc. to be duplicated and kept just like that by IMSG in Umuguma, why? |
eaglechild: bolded. there is Federal Medical Centre in Owerri big and well equipped with CT scan, MRI, Dialysis machine, Mammography etc., There is the state university teaching Hospital in Orlu. For your info, the land with little edifice named Specialist hospital Umuguma near Owerri is a political hospital, It was established when some elements were questioning why the state teaching hospital was not established in the state capital. |
Nigeria's Federal Road Safety Commission not working. In other countries, there is a bar built behind a lorry; the bar makes it impossible for small car to go under trailer as this one did. If Road Safety Commission is working, it must make it a must for every lorry to have the bar behind. |
RareDiamond:I believe; eheeeeeeeeeem, I believe the beta thing to say is Owerri is blessed; abi no be so, bros RareDiamond and Charlesdonald? |
what a road in Imo capital city. What a taste Imolites have. Or ma ppl in Owerri and yonder don't have good taste?
|
oneeast:I no go lie u, these Agulu roads in Anambra state - they make me shame about these Imo state roads Abagworo & Co de show. Anambra is not Akwa Ibom that receives oil money. So what went wrong from beginning about Imo? Even our only one city in Imo; no show.
|
WOCKHARDI:APC operators are only smart in producing false propaganda against Jonah of Otuoke. Operatives of Jonah of Otuoke are not smart in producing propaganda against APC; except Fayose who just started recently to hit APC right, left and centre; and APC has already started to feel the heat from one man riot squad - Fayose. |
Imo state University Teaching Hospital, (IMSUTH) Orlu, has facilities and standards at par or above many Class A university teaching Hospitals in Africa. For more on IMSUTH, visit http://www.imsu.edu.ng/imsuth/index.php#
