For fairness' sake, Adada State creation is a task that must be accomplished.

If Anambra natives shelved the agitation for Orimili state, what makes you think they'll cede Ihiala and/or Ogbaru LGAs to Orlu.
Methinks hell will freeze over before that happens.

Imo and Anambra as a State, has alot of work doing, with construction of road and railway network for internal transport.

Njaba without at least 2 to 4 Anambra local government should not include Ihiala or any single anambra local govenment.

Ndi-Orlu can have a State without Ihiala or Anambra.



As for Anioma State, it should be created in the South South to include the igbanke. They don't need to join the east region.

Ogoja state can be created from Cross River State. No region should get more than two states addition.

We Anambrans do not want any part of us touched in whatever guise either state creation. Anambra is a monolithic and homogenous state. Leave us out of your silly state creation. No part of Anambra wants out! You will be shocked when referendum is conducted in Ihiala!

basilo101: Let me tell u why Adada shud be a state instead of Aba n Njaba. Aba province is already a state but d capital was takn 2 umuahia. Same way onitsha province was givn a state and decided 2 use awka as capital. Njaba (orlu) was under owerri province and dia4 nt in league old metropolitan provinces of eastern region. As it stands nw, only Nsukka province is yet 2 be givn dia own state.

Chiwude: I said it here before that Anioma as a new S/E state is my best bet. But, the current geo-political arrangement might work against it. As an Igboman who knows the diabolic thoughts of the north towards a new state for the S/E, I doubt if they would support an Anioma joining us. They (North) balkanized the East to suit their selfish interest and they will never support a reunion. Unless Ohaneze Ndigbo counters that plan, we may end up throwing our chance for a 6th state, if a viable option isn't proferred.

For Chiwude 's benefit, states are not created solely on account of perceived marginalization which is the only argument Njaba has.
Njaba lacks even the support of her component Anambra groups.

It currently has a Federal University of international repute, a Federal College of Education, a proposed Southeastern University, a Federal School of Health Technology, a State School of Agriculture, a Federal Government College and other vocational and technical schools

Agriculture, tourism, and natural resources will drive the economy of the new state

On the issue of cohesion, Adada shares boundary with the Igbo-speaking people of Okpokwu and Ogbadigbo LGAs of Benue State, the Igalas and Idomas. Interestingly, the Idomas I've met are all bilinguists who speak Idoma and Nsukka-Igbo owing to long years of peaceful coexistence. In fact, they bear names like Ada, Okoro, and share our 4-day market week (Orie, Afor, Nkwo, Eke). In fact, Adada and the Idomas have lived and intermarried with nary an argument.

Regardless, Adada State has certain basic needs such as water (on account of its hilly topography), expansion of existing infrastructure, and need to address poverty at the grassroot level.
Plus there's a dead Igwe of Adada who will only be buried once Adada State is created.

Anioma is an Igbo state that would be located in the SS.even though its in the SS,it still remains the best bet for us in the SE.adada can come after Anioma has been created for the western Igbo clans of igbanke,ahaba,ika,orimili and aboh.
Anioma is that bond that would unite the SE and SS Igbos

Nigeria as a country should strive to develop the existing states than creating another. Besides I see Adada and maybe Anioma as the most viable state out of SE/SS. Even they can create Anioma and add it to the present SE that will be the best as Delta-Igbos are the real people being marginalized!
