koboko69: Its sunday...dont let amadioha strike u with leprosy. Must u quote me, if u have chosen to lick the bottom of this coward...how is that my biz. I see u guys have not learnt lessons from how Ojukwu fled.See unintelligent and diffident people blackmailing others. You must have believed that you were blackmailing children in the kindergarten? Your small sense does not even tell you that crude oil is not all there is for a country to survive? But unfortunately it is all blackmail your talk about Ojukwu and insinuation that Dokubor shall also run away. Run away for who? For you to colonize the crude oil in Dokubor's backyard? See you see small sense. |
ImperialYoruba: ReallyBut what is your business blackmailing Biafra at every slight opportunity? There are not less than 35million Yorubas. What makes you believe that this 35million Yorubas are not fit enough to form one Yoruba country? Why always be worried about Biafra? Oyel money? But Ondo state, and possibly in future, other states in SW must have oil. So why your headache over Biafra? |
cococandy: Only in owerri(fmc),orlu(imsuth) and a few others do you see something that looks like modern hospitals. Not a Rochas fan, but I ask this question: in the presence of FMC and IMSUTH in Imo state, what is the use of state Specialist Hospital Owerri? Is the specialist Hospital not a waste of fund? |
Hugoboi: Have you lost your marbles? How is GEJ the focus here? Common sense isnt so common afterall! That common sense you quote should have told you that it is the responsibility of GEJ to fix Nnewi-Arondizuogu-Okigwe highway. |
...making Imo people understand that he was relocating IMSU to Ogboko, while in fact, he was building Rochas Foundation University in Ogboko. |
profjustine458: Even if he did only 10% of things on that list that9.98% of the at least 10% which Rochas Okorocha did must be in the three Owerri Municipal LGAs. So let voters in those three lgas return him to second term in 2015, if he seeks reelection. Rochas has least respect for, and denied true development infrastructures in areas that gave him early large votes in 2011. |
profjustine458: (Just in 100days of his administration)And Okorocha having the Orlu Township stadium destroyed after revisiting the contract that led to its construction. When Okorocha came, what remained to be done in the stadium was laying of tracks. |
Okorocha can be hailed in oru-owerri festival, but time for election, Owerri will not vote him so long as any Owerri man or woman is contesting against Okorocha. Okorocha is hailed now because he concentrated his development efforts in Owerri. In fact, he seems to have adopted Owerri as his home senatorial zone. |
President Joe, well done. But please let this government provide two other federal universities in the southeast for the hundreds of thousands of qualified university applicants in southeast who have no chances in existing universities in Nigeria. |
German wins, Argentina ,loses |
passion007: You've not made any point.@Passion007, Some body once told you on this thread that you are driven by passion as your name suggests. That's true. Demarcation line for Igbo north and south has no place in the geography or history of Igboland, perhaps except for people like you and your Ebonyi state big boss who use that to do eye service support for your agitation. |
Chino still here with his many monikers on NL. Information has it that since one Imo state lady who Chino loved dumped Chino, he has not recovered from the psychosis. Chino lost the Bliss of life. Bliss4Lyfe: I give my support to the creation of Adada State and Aba State for the east. We need a State that will not rely on oil. |
@WIZGUY69, You created a thread that needed to be deliberated upon. But you and fellows like you diverted it to a shameful ethnic bashing. How long more shall crude oil continue to keep hate-filled Nigeria as one country? |
passion007: But, Mandax, why are you hell-bent on having Ihiala?Your argument is most silly. Ihiala is just one out of the 21 Lgas in Anambra state. Ihiala lga land mass taken out of Anambra state makes little difference to what is left in the remaining 20 lgas. The time Ebonyi state was carved out mainly from Enugu state in 1996 was when any future prospect of creating Adada state was severely shortchanged/dimmed. Where were you then? Time to leave you and Chino72 with his 10 or more handles on NL to continue to wallow in your abject ignorance on NL. |
Chino72: It appears you do not get it! What I said is that you can create as many states as you want out of your state but do not touch any part of Anambra! You cause confusion to Igbo with your several handles, that's all. No doubt, you eat, sleep, dream on NL 247 exhibiting your inferiority complex? You have no job? You are no true Igbo or history is strange to you; you said it, you do not come from Ihiala: it was even Ihiala people that asked to be returned to their kin in Imo West zone through the proposed sixth state. Ihiala leaders joined in the demand for Anim/Njaba state. Most of Ihiala belonged to old Orlu division until a few years ago. Most of Ihiala is still in Orlu Catholic diocese till today. Go siddon. |
pazienza: You are not making any sense, perhaps your long period away from Nairaland is affecting you.99% of Igbos that cry against new state creation are those very comfortable in their state capitals, most probably with their areas exploiting others in the same state. If not, is there any Igbo who does not understand the quota system that has made many qualified Igbos not get admission in federal education institutions, military, police, etc? Who is the Igbo that does not understand that people in SE are seriously under represented in the parliament? Who is the Igbo that does not understand that the SE has been losing huge sums of federal allocation and investment due to shortage of number of states in the SE? Chino72 with his more than 10 NL monikers. Chino72 with his more than 10 NL handles is behind all the arguments among Igbos on this thread, I suspect, including the first comment on this thread by Bliss4life. The NC has slated the states to be created in SE, I do not see why all these washing Igbo dirty linen in public. |
basilo101: Let me tell u why Adada shud be a state instead of Aba n Njaba. Aba province is already a state but d capital was takn 2 umuahia. Same way onitsha province was givn a state and decided 2 use awka as capital. Njaba (orlu) was under owerri province and dia4 nt in league old metropolitan provinces of eastern region. As it stands nw, only Nsukka province is yet 2 be givn dia own state.Umuahia was an old province. Whoever told you that Nsukka was a province before Orlu must have been lying to you; the same way they lie to you that there is Igbo north and Igbo south in which Anambra, Imo and Abia make up Igbo south. Whoside? Who created the divide? Those that make money from you people about Adada ever being carved as the next additional state in the south east before Njaba and Aba have been swindling you with hotel parties. |
Gosh, some people continue to believe that they can rob Peter to pay Paul. Njaba and Aba state proposals suffer much of the inconveniences of oil and gas explorations and exploitation, and contribute oil and gas revenues to Nigeria's coffers. Adada state proposal contributes none of these and suffers no environmental pollution from oil and gas exploration and exploitation. Aba state proposal has 9 local govt area councils to be cut out from 18 local councils of Abia state; while Njaba proposal has 12 local govt area councils to be cut out from the 27 local councils of Imo state. Both Njaba and Abia state proposals have land masses and populations more than Adada state proposal of 7 local govt councils to be cut from Enugu state of 17 local councils. Above all, Ebonyi state was cut mainly from Enugu state a few years ago. Please can any body tell us why anybody can think of making Adada a state before Njaba and Aba? |
Chiwude: I said it here before that Anioma as a new S/E state is my best bet. But, the current geo-political arrangement might work against it. As an Igboman who knows the diabolic thoughts of the north towards a new state for the S/E, I doubt if they would support an Anioma joining us. They (North) balkanized the East to suit their selfish interest and they will never support a reunion. Unless Ohaneze Ndigbo counters that plan, we may end up throwing our chance for a 6th state, if a viable option isn't proferred.I support Anioma to be created a state but left in the southsouth to enable the Igbo have more tentacles in other zones. But Anioma has never been part of southeast region. It was in Western region; and now in SS. So it cannot be joined to SE. Nigeria is talking about state in the southeast. See how today's five states in SE were created: Today's SE is former East Central state which was divided in 1976 to Imo and Anambra states. In the 1980s, old Imo state was divided into Abia and present Imo state; while old Anambra state was divided into Enugu and present Anambra states. In 1996, the fifth and last state in SE which is Ebonyi state was carved from Abia and Enugu states. So the next state in SE must be carved from Imo and Anambra states: ANIM. But if Ihiala, the only Lga from Anambra included in ANIM is excluded, the proposed Njaba state for the 12 Lgas in Imo West still beats any other state proposal in the SE by any measures used to adjudge any area a state. |
passion007: No state will be created by military fiatWhy don't you talk on your Adada thing instead of denigrating Njaba? Even if they remove Ihialla Lga from proposed Njaba state with 12 Lgas, Njaba is an oil and gas producing state, Njaba state is about two times more populated than your Adada of a meagre 7 local govt areas; even a man from the moon will pronounce Njaba a state before your Adada. You wrote that Adada (of only 7 Lgas in Enugu state of 17 Lgas) already has a Federal University of international repute, UNN, a Federal College of Education, a Federal School of Health Technology, a State School of Agriculture, a Federal Government College and other vocational and technical schools. Good. But be informed that the proposed Njaba state of 12 LGas in Imo state of 27 Lgas has only a school for the mentally handicapped; do you even know that this makes Njaba more qualified for sixth state in the southeast than Adada? Abeg reason from your head. But why do more Igbos than others continue to talk about new state here? It is because of a few dishonest ones who want to do mago mago on the subject. Every rational Igbo knows that as Ebonyi state was cut from Abia and Enugu states, additional state in SE must be cut from Imo and Anbambra or from Imo state alone. Continue your bla bla bla. |
cheruv: are you not rather stupid bickering with me over what you've no idea in..Look, chill out man. Ebony state - fifth state in SE - was carved from Enugu and Abia states in the last state creation exercise in the SE. So a sixth or additional state in SE must be from Imo and Anambra states - Anim - or Njaba with nucleus as the 12 local govt councils of Imo west senatorial zone. So why must you say that additional or sixth state in SE could come from dividing Enugu state again; or say that Anioma becomes sixth state for SE while Anioma is in SS? Abi you de craze? Since the talk of additional state in SE began on return to democracy in 1999, the 12 Lgas of Imo West zone have been denied lots of development. Apart from a state Polytechnic situated at the periphery of the state capital, the only full academic institution (outside secondary schools) in the 12 Local councils in Imo West zone is a school for the deaf and mentally handicapped; but in the zone of Imo state capital, there are about five govt universities and polytechnics. Imo West zone has been denied public water supply infrastructure, which the other two zones have. Why? Other two zones know that any day new states are being created, Imo West zone must be carved out of Imo state. So you offend the sensibilities of honest people in the SE with your hateful outbursts. |
cheruv: painDiffident and dishonest people like you are reasons why southeast has not got sixth state since 2006. Clinical student, read your comment without punctuation. Walahi, you be either alaumuahia or alaowerre born idle mind/mischief maker. Go siddon, you too small. U can't convince honest people who know about states in the southeast. |
cheruv: pain |
cheruv: even though the content of your writeup displayed your congenital stup1dity,I still had to like it kos you asked an important Q..So e pain you? Take more. You hater that may want to stand justice on its head. You liar. You from a most diffident sect. You cameleom. You who refused to tell the truth about who you are and what is motivating your stance. Gerrout and allow people to hear word. |
cheruv: am an abian who lives in owerri but doing my clinical training at aba.I only care about our ethnic nation and its people and that means not pandering to the whims and caprices of myopic Igbo politicians.my clan would benefit from the exercise but I'd still root for Anioma anytime kos that's the only state the SE needs.politicians like rochas rooting for anim/njaba state and co are big time wasters.Clinical training, you? How did you pass premed when you could not comprehend simple sentences made in English language? Anioma is in SS. We are talking of creation of state in Southeast. |
chino24: Nwanne do not misunderstand me! I do not hate anybody but I believe the state creation is totally unnecessary. Nigeria as a country should strive to develop the existing states than creating another. Besides I see Adada and maybe Anioma as the most viable state out of SE/SS. Even they can create Anioma and add it to the present SE that will be the best as Delta-Igbos are the real people being marginalized!Chino24 has no clue why new states are being canvassed by majority of Nigerians. Chino24 is comfortable in his Anambra state; there4 others can go to hell. |
A lot of SE/SS were encouraged by Asari's promise to rain bloodshed if Gej is not reelected and those people have identified with him as their savior, the one to ultimately pilot the actualization of Biafra if PDP loose 2015.
