the league cannot be viewed in isolation.it is clubs that form the league.weak clubs weak league.the formation of the clubs was faulty from the get go.a football club is suppose to provide entertainment and sense of pride for its supporters/fans.the shareholders are supposed to get dividend or at least appreciation of share value.it has taken over 30yrs of neglecting customers(fans & supporters) to get to this sorry state.we know it takes shorter time to destroy than to build,so do the math.the core of the fans of the local game have switched taste to the european game.it is almost an impossible task to organically develop any club in nigeria today but it is never over until its over.european clubs may start giving franchise to serious pple e.g like u have kfc in lagos,chelsea may buy up enyiba and call it chelsea aba and so on,laughable but possible,remember the music industry?imagine the time of andy shawman,peterside otong,mandators,isaac black and compare now with p-square,dbanj,whiz kid,tuface...channel O,MTV expanded and boom for local musicians. |

its not the age of the profs/lecturers but what they've acquired with their age.I had profs(<60yrs at that time) bringing tattered notes to class,he never worked one day in his chosen field.from B.Sc to M.Sc to Phd,then straight to lecture,may be develop his notes for the first 2 sessions,after that zilch!graduates of certain fields are worst hit.we have a whopping 20yrs between 50 and 70,anybody who wants to be a lecturer should first work at least 20years in their chosen field.imagine jim ovia teaching you a course in banking and finance,or somebody who has worked with folawiyo farms for 20 years teaching you about poultry and catfish.Did Jonathan himself prove himself in his field of study?It is also true that our profs create a lot useless courses that they would not have created if they were running their own private universities.the teaching hospital format should be adopted for all courses,i.e. an establishment where you get opportunity to 'do' what you learned,lack of basic practical skills of graduates messes up professors the way bribe collecting messes up the nigerian police,an african zoology graduate who has never seen elephant,rhino,gorilla not to talk of black panther 2 Likes |

The prof was tryin to say 'the north is gaining nothing exceptional from nigeria'.this is very true.the story is simple but we all like to complicate it.nigeria is not a country,it is a company.a company makes money for its owners,the former owners got tired [reengineered]of the biz and sold shares to some of the staff{some citizens},the nature of the biz is to milk resources,sell abroad,and keep money abroad,has anything changed since royal niger company?the best you can get are capital investments that should yield more profit for those with shares.SS should note that other regions especially the north are being misguided by some of their brothers in the oil industry that there is a lot of oil rigs off-shore[hello?i.e not EXACTLY on SS land]In effect the oil is in Nigeria's territorial waters not on SS land,which means the oil belongs to Nigeria as a whole,with this kind of logic,why wont the north[using boko haram] not ask for a review?why will the middlebelt,SW,SE not keep reaping.Nigeria wont break up until SW discovers enuf oil,the yorubas are the glue holding everything together,they have enuf muslims to call hausa's their cousins and they are educated enuf to be comfortable with SE/SS,but they will start drawing distinctions when they want to share oil money from THEIR OWN LAND.remember cocoa?they were willing to let midwest go since midwest was not contributing to their cocoa resources. |

why is it difficult to see that Nigeria's population is bloated.it is a standard behaviour for managers to inflate cost,this case population,to get more money from the centre,if we come up with a policy that will demand more revenue from places with large population,then we all we see ow our population will shrink fast. go and ask people who have come to nigeria with a business model for more than 100million people,they all got nasty shocks. last jamb had about 1.3million candidates,by the time you factor 'repeat candidates',the candidates taking it for the first time will be about half of that. it took dstv years before they could boost their customer base to the level it is at present,imagine they came to lagos,counted the roof tops,smiled and winked at one another.anybody with friends there should confirm if they have more than 4million customers. banks nko?do all of them put together have upto 15million customers? ask dem PTO(mtn,airtel,glo etc)how many registered sims dem get,e reach 20million(not even taking into account people who have more than one sim) in january FRSC claimed we have upto 8million registered vehicles when we were wondering ow we consumed 15 ship load of petrol everyday. do u think we will have food riot if indomie is banned. erect 1004 flats(2 bedroom at the prevailing rate in the particular town) in any other town apart from lagos and 5 or 6 other cities in nigeria and tell me if price of accommodation will not come crashing down. the pressure an average american child puts on global resources is more than 40 hausa kids. dont ignore people that say western world go come with anything to reduce our population o.they've done it before,they can,they will or they are doing something to reduce it again |

some posters have tried to highlight the difference between being single and being lonely. you can be in a crowded stadium or party and be lonely or alone[like one chelsea fan in a bar full of arsenal fans or a guy in a party with more girls than guys yet no girl will chat or dance with him].in this case being lonely is an unpleasant emotional state. on the other hand a single guy or girl may find himself or herself creating clever excuses to accommodate or joggle lovers-this is not a case of loneliness,it more like a state where it is not illegal for him or her to be with someone else.in this case being single is more like an official status like they put in forms e.g tick your status:single or married,you will never find a form that says married or lonely. i believe those that voted against being single were really voting against loneliness. |

cugresources,why do you think there are a lot of single mothers,divorcees and grass widows?simple, there are many guys like you,just that they are smart enough or hard enough to play the 'normal guy' until they acheive their aim-which is to get a woman to have kids for them.these guys are so eager to relocate abroad or to another city promising to come back and pick them or behave so badly that any sensible woman we find her level(clearly you dont have stomach for this). for oyinbo land there are sperm banks for women and sergeant mothers for men who cant find mates[check ow xtiano ronaldo had his son]-why haven't you explored this option?If this is too weird for you then make a budget of between 5 and 10million naira and some months,enter a small nigerian town like ondo,agbor,okene,auchi,ikirun and the like---eye don open for lagos,abuja,PH you will find a semi decent girl to have your kids,you should be able to build a small bungalow with a shop for tailoring or hair dressing or bakery or bottle water plant or a combination of any for her and in return she gives you your 2 boys,the boys will live with you and have a place to stay if they miss their mum.this plan requires some fine tunning but trust me when i say that many single mothers,divorcees and grass widows would have jumped at an offer like this had they known what was in store for them. as the western world continue to tinker with marriage,the less attractive marriage becomes to men. A mate has been leading a girl on for 12yrs girl A and at the same time chasing another girl for 9yrs girl B yimiton the guy in question is not double dating rather he has a bird in hand but prefares the one in the bush. he knows deep down inside that girlB doesnt love him,at best she will only be tolerating him if she agrees to be intimate with him. lets not decieve ourselves many couples had to make this decision, when miss/mr available becomes miss/mr right, espescially when time is running out and girlB or guyB(the scenario works both ways) is not yeilding. |
