In my opinion these states with high IGR should no longer be giving monthly allocation, instead let them make do with there IGR, and remmit 10% of their IGR to the FG. |

DamnnNiggarr: Picture they say saves a thousand words!
Today, after our postgraduate lectures in UNIZIK, I and my friend decided to trek from the institution's school of post graduate studies to Bakasi square for a lunch, on getting there, we ordered what to be served to us and to my greatest surprise, the man brought the food with no meat, I called his attention but he insisted that there's meat in the food. So this made me to look closely and I observed a tiny meat in the food I was shocked and short of words at the same time.
Now, this gave rise to several questions running through my mind, is this how bad the country has become?

Spy360: Report Card
I have been trying to track Ses 5 c band since weekend. So far it has been elusive.
In order to achieve this I had to take a patient step by step approach from known to unknown. So I connected a Ku lnb and tracked 28.5e which I got easily. Then I tracked 51.5e which I also got easily.
Now sure that the dish, lnb and cables are ok, I proceeded to track 5e but didn't get signals. Instead I got 7e. Despite all efforts through tiny adjustments, 5e remained elusive.
Why is this so?
My next step was to use the 7e direction and connect my c band lnb. Yet it didn't work. What am I doing wrong?
Cc GeorgeD1, Bencote, adubam, Odilibe, Blexxonmak, Olenyi, ManirBK, Digitman
I am calling on all my fta gurus. did you know that 5e KU and 7e KU can be merge together using single lnb. When you are on 7e try as much as posible to make 5e tp 12034H27500 Active and get the highest signal. Then you are good to Go from there by changing the KU lnb to C band. More ever dont forget to insert Die electric inside the Cband or you will not secure the channels!! |

Politics › P&ID: FG To Investigate Fraudulent Contracts – Malami by ManirBK(op): 7:41pm On Nov 08, 2021 |
The federal
government, on
Monday, said it
will constitute a
task force to
investigate
fraudulent
contracts
signed by
previous
administrations,
which have the
capacity to
undermine the
country’s
economy.
The Attorney-
General of the
Federation and
Minister of
Justice,
Abubakar
Malami,
disclosed this
while appearing
before the
Senate
Committee on
Judiciary, Human
Rights and Legal
Matters to
defend his
ministry’s 2022
budget
estimates.
Anambra
lawmaker
demands
probe of
BVAS failure
in Onitsha
ECOWAS
imposes
sanctions on
Mali,
maintains
measures
against
military
takeover in
Guniea
Malami said the
task force was
to checkmate
looting of
government
resources
arising from the
conspiracy and
connivance
between
international
businessmen
and Nigerian
civil servants.
He said such
conspiracy
resulted in the
unhealthy effect
of the P&ID
contract, which,
he said, would
have ripped
Nigeria over $10
billion because it
was unduly
vetted and never
allowed to pass
through the
Office of the
Attorney-General
of the
Federation.
The minister
said the
constitution of
the probe panel
would provide
an opportunity
to review
contracts similar
to that of the
P&ID to protect
the country from
impending
liabilities, and
that those
responsible are
brought to
justice.
He said, “The
task force is
intended to
review the
existing
problematic
contracts that
have the
capacity to
undermine the
economy.
“In the Office of
the Attorney
General, there
exist two
fundamental
departments
relating to the
vetting of
contracts.
“Solicitor
Department is
charged with
vetting any
government’s
contract and
they have lived
up to
expectations
over time.
“But the major
problem with
P&ID is that the
contract was
never ever
allowed to pass
through the
Office of the
Attorney General
for vetting.
“So, on the
account of that,
they embedded
in the contract
clauses that are
inimical to the
interest of the
nation.
“Because of the
fact that there is
a preliminary
conspiracy
among the key
promoters of
the contract, the
contract was
never allowed to
pass through
the Federal
Executive
Council, FEC for
its approval,
neither was it
allowed to pass
through the
Federal Ministry
of Justice for
vetting.
“The existing
structures are
there, but they
can only act in
respect of
contracts that
are referred to
the department.
“What I’m
saying, in
essence, is that
the task force is
poised at
looking at it.
“In respect of
P&ID, there were
about nine
contracts that
were signed at
the same time in
breach of due
processes and
procedures.”

Politics › Terrorists Attacked Biafrans In Enugu During Anambra Poll – IPOB by ManirBK(op): 9:41am On Nov 08, 2021 |
The Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) on Sunday alleged terrorists disguising as herdsmen attacked its members in Enugu. The group said the attack took place while the election was going on in Anambra State. In a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB said the attackers were however repelled by its Eastern Security Network (ESN). The group reiterated its call on the Federal Government to organise a referendum for the region to decide its fate, insisting that the forced marriage by Britain could no longer work. The statement reads in part: “We wish to reiterate that the mandate of Eastern Security Network, ESN is to pursue terrorists, bandits and killer herdsmen hiding in the bushes and forests of Biafraland. “While the election in Anambra State was going on the enemies deployed terrorists disguising as herdsmen to Enugu State to attack unsuspecting Biafrans but the vigilance of our ESN operatives paid off as these agents of death and sorrow were repelled. “No matter how hard they try we will not allow any inch of Biafra land to be invaded by terrorists again. “Never again shall ESN and IPOB allow Biafran women and girls to be raped by uncircumcised terrorists. We shall continue to defend our ancestral land no matter the price! “We warn the sponsors of these Jihadists and their foot soldiers to stop wasting their time because no part of Biafra land will be occupied by terrorists. “Biafrans are tired of staying together with mass murderers. We can’t continue to live in a country where the lives of our people have no values. We will no longer belong to a country where cows are valued above human beings. “We assure Biafrans that ESN operatives will continue to stand on the watchtower since the hypocritical NIGERIA security agents have refused to protect our people against killer squad masquerading as herdsmen.” https://thenationonlineng.net/terrorists-attacked-biafrans-in-enugu-during-anambra-poll-ipob/mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala seun |

Sports › Kamaru Usman Beats Colby Covington To Retain UFC Title by ManirBK(op): 12:02pm On Nov 07, 2021 |
Kamaru Usman retained his welterweight championship with a hard-earned win over Colby Covington in the main event of UFC 268 at Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday morning.
The ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ took the fight via unanimous decision after five tough rounds, though the champion’s 19th straight victory and a fifth successful defence of his belt was well deserved, given his superior striking power and the fact that he almost finished ‘Chaos’ near the end of round two after landing a couple of massive left hooks. It’s a second win over Covington for Usman – the first arrived just under two years ago and was a classic in the welterweight division – and the fact that this fight went the distance and was again very evenly-matched suggests that this rivalry is not done yet.
“I know there was a lot of trash talk, a lot of bad blood here and I’m sure there’s still gonna be some after tonight, but this guy’s a tough son of a b****, he’s tough as s***. I wanted to get crazy, try get him out of there, but I knew with a guy like this, he’s gonna creep back in it and we’re gonna end up in a situation [going to the judges’ score cards] that we don’t want to be in,” said Usman after the fight. He added, “I am the pound-for-pound best alive right now.”
The co-main event saw Rose Namajunas retain her women’s strawweight title with a split decision win in a rematch with Zhang Weili. While the pair’s first fight lasted less than 90 seconds earlier this year – with Namajunas claiming a stunning knockout – this one went the full 25 minutes and had the champ narrowly edging it on the score cards thanks to her superior ground game.
“I was pretty confident that I won it,” said ‘Thug Rose’ in her post-fight interview. “The first couple of rounds were pretty close, wasn’t sure what was going on, but I was just present in the moment and I wasn’t even too worried about the result.”
She added, “I had a feeling it was gonna be a way tougher fight… and she improved a lot, so I give her some props.”
The main card opened with Justin Gaethje overcoming Michael Chandler via unanimous decision in a lightweight match; before Shane Burgos out-pointed Billy Quarantillo in the featherweight division; and Marlon Vera defeated Frankie Edgar in a bantamweight clash, with the former claiming victory thanks to a front-kick TKO in the third and final round. The next UFC event is a Fight Night at the APEX Facility in Las Vegas on the late evening of Saturday 13 November, headlined by a featherweight bout between Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez.

The Niger State Government has demolished the residence belonging to a notorious kidnapper.
The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security in the state, Emmanuel Umar, who supervised the demolition, said the suspect had confessed to having built the house with the proceedings of his crime.
The house, which is a two-bedroom flat with an uncompleted two-bedroom extension, was located in Nkangbe Community in Bosso Local Government Area of the state.
Umar, who did not mention the name of the kidnapper and how his residence was discovered, said the measure was to serve as a deterrent to other criminals that the state government would give no chance to using the state as a hideout.
He said, “We will not allow any criminal to have a place in our land. It is part of the determination of the governor to ensure that Niger State is safe for us all.”
Umar urged stakeholders in the state to report suspicious movements and give information about strangers moving into their communities. https://dailytrust.com/niger-demolishes-kidnappers-house

MTN Nigeria, which controls 40 percent market share, and Airtel which has a 27 percent share of the telco market, have been given approval-in- principle by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to commence banking business in the country, the two leading communication giants said on Friday. In separate letters addressed to the management of the Nigeria Exchange, the telecom companies announced that their subsidiaries have been granted approval in principle to operate Payment Service Banks in Nigeria. “Airtel Africa, a leading provider of telecommunications and mobile money services, with a presence in 14 countries across, today announces that its subsidiary SMARTCASH Payment Service Bank Limited (“Smartcash”) has been granted approval in principle to operate a payment service bank business in Nigeria,” the company said in its letter. It said the “Final approval is subject to the Group satisfying certain standard conditions within six months”. On its part, MTN said: “MTN Nigeria communications PLc as promoter received an approval in principle dated 4 November 2021 from the CBN for a licence application for the proposed MoMo Payment Service Bank Limited”. MTN said the grant of approval in principle is the first step in the process towards final approval, subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions as stipulated by the CBN. “The decision to issue a final approval is firmly within the regulatory purview of the CBN and we respect their right and judgment in that regard,” it said. Reacting to the development, Segun Ogunsanya, CEO, Airtel Africa, said: “I am very pleased that Smartcash has been granted an approval-in- principle to operate a service bank business in Nigeria. “We will now work closely with the Central Bank to meet all its conditions to receive the operating licence and commence operations”. He said that the final operating licence will enable Airtel to expand its digital financial products and reach the millions of Nigerians that do not have access to traditional financial services. “I am looking forward to working closely with the Government, the Central Bank and traditional financial institutions to expand financial inclusion and meet the evolving needs of our customers and the economy,” Ogunsanya said. In its response, MTN Nigeria affirmed its commitment towards the financial inclusion agenda of the CBN and the Federal Republic of Nigeria and promised to continue to explore means whereby it can contribute to its fulfillment. “While we look forward to the eventual grant of a final PSB licence, we will continue to communicate material information in accordance with regulatory obligations and guidelines,” MTN said. The granting of banking lincences to the telecoms will set off a new competition between them and the banks. https://dailytrust.com/mtn-airtel-get-cbn-approval-to-start-banking-business?fbclid naijacutee puskin FOD dominique mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala seun |
