Monogamy:Be interesting to see where the power is going to come from. |
It would be really smart if you could also help my grandkids by banning all new fossil fuel development. |
THE DIRECTOR-General of National Automotive Design and Development Council, Engr. Jelani Aliyu, has said that the agency would promote the adoption, development, manufacturing and usage of advanced technology in the nation’s automotive sector. Aliyu who spoke at the recent commissioning of the first solar-powered Electric Vehicle charging station in Lagos, a pilot project in collaboration with the University of Lagos said that this has become very important because the world can no longer afford to continue polluting the environment through the use of fossil fuel and its attendant emission of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and methane. He said “we are now in the Vehicle Electrification era, cars, trucks and buses all powered by electricity. “A strategic transition from fossil fuel to pure electric power,”explaining that this accounted for the immeasurable support the agency was getting from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and investment in pursuit of the programme.” Aliyu recalled that the agency had earlier, this year recorded some progress in this regard when the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment unveiled the first made in Nigeria Electric Vehicle the Hyundai Kona EV, followed by unveiling of the University of Lagos charge station and later by another at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, having unveiled one in Sokoto earlier. According to the director-general, “the world is in a race on the back of the eagles and Nigeria cannot afford to be in that race on the back of anything less, neither a falcon nor a hawk, but on the backs of eagles. “Whatever advanced technology is being leveraged by developed countries around the world must also be identified, transferred and optimised by Nigeria for the betterment of its people. “We are now in the fourth industrial revolution, characterised by highly advanced technologies, robotics, artificial intelligence, block chain technology and other incredible solutions. “For the automotive sector, it means vehicles that are highly embedded with ICT solution connectivity between the vehicle and themselves, their users and the road infrastructure. It means vehicles that think for themselves are therefore safer, more efficient and better for humanity.”https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/08/fg-committed-to-development-of-electric-vehicles-jelani/ mynd44 oam4j lalasaticlala seun Marpol |

Mr president now understand the language very well! Biden's withdrawal was so poorly executed that he has had to put another 5,000 Marines in harm's way in order to safely evacuate remains American civilians and state department workers. Prayers sent for all of the innocent people who are going to be killed or oppressed in Afghanistan in the coming days. |
Taliban must have powerful supporters, and it’s true that Pakistan and the Taliban are old friends. At the same time, for most of the war on terrorism, the United States and Pakistan have been allies. Doesn’t it follow, then, that the United States and the Taliban are really on the same side? |
Afghanistan’s embattled president has left the country, joining his fellow citizens and foreigners in a stampede fleeing the advancing Taliban and signalling the end of a 20-year Western experiment aimed at remaking Afghanistan. Abdullah Abdullah, the head of the Afghan National Reconciliation Council, confirmed in an online video that President Ghani had left on Sunday. “The former president of Afghanistan left Afghanistan, leaving the country in this difficult situation,” Abdullah said. “God should hold him accountable.” Ghani flew out of the country, two officials told The Associated Press news agency, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to brief journalists. Local media reported that Ghani left for Tajikistan. Abdullah said he wants security forces to continue providing security for Kabul and asked the Taliban to wait for talks before entering the city. But the Taliban, which for hours had been on the outskirts of Kabul, announced soon after that they would move further into a city gripped by panic throughout the day as helicopters raced overhead to evacuate personnel from the US embassy. Smoke rose near the compound as staff destroyed important documents. Several other Western missions also prepared to pull their people out. Civilians fearing that the Taliban could reimpose the kind of brutal rule that all but eliminated women’s rights rushed to leave the country as well, lining up at cash machines to withdraw their life savings. The desperately poor – who had left homes in the countryside for the hoped- for safety in the capital – remained in their thousands in parks and open spaces throughout the city. In a stunning rout, the Taliban has captured 26 of Afghanistan’s 34 provincial capitals since August 6, despite the billions of dollars spent by the US and NATO over nearly 20 years to build up Afghan security forces. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/8/15/afghan-president-ghani-flees-country-as-taliban-surrounds-kabul mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala seun |

The Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, on Friday said that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration was executing 800 contracts and 13,000km of roads and bridges across the country. Fashola said this after inspecting construction work on the Chanchangi Bridge in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba. He assured Nigerians that before long, most of the projects under construction would be completed to enhance security, economy and entrepreneurship. He also expressed the determination of the present administration to link Nigerians from all parts of the country through accessible roads and bridges. Fashola, however, appealed to Nigerians to be patient as all hands were on deck to complete most projects located in each of the 36 states. The minister also announced that the Federal Government would consider the takeover of the rehabilitation of the 30km Takum-Chanchangi-Road project from the Government of Taraba. NAN reports that the Government of Taraba had awarded the said contract to the SCC Nigeria Ltd., but the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 had affected its funding. Fashola said that the strategic importance of the road that linked Taraba with many other parts of the country necessitated the consideration by the Federal government to take over the project. He said that the ministry was in the process of designing and costing the project before it was awarded, adding that he would sought funding for it from the President. The minister expressed satisfaction with the work done on the bridge by SCC Nigeria Ltd., the contractor handling the project. He assured the residents that the work would be completed in the next three months. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/08/buharis-govt-executing-800-contracts-13000km-of-roads-says-fashola/ mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala seun |

Sergio Ramos has told Lionel Messi and his family that they can move in with him if they get tired of staying in a hotel. Bitter rivals for so many years in LaLiga the former captains of Real Madrid and Barcelona are now team-mates and according to El Pais Ramos has already told Messi if he doesn’t want to stay in a hotel he is welcome to bring his family to Ramos’ house. Messi is currently staying in the hotel Le Royal Monceau where all PSG‘s big signings stay while they find permanent accommodation. The two old rivals have become huge marquee signings for Paris Saint-Germain this summer The hotel on Avenue Hoch is just off the Champs Elysees and Ramos was there briefly when he signed but is understood to have moved to the same Neuilly-sur-Seine area where Angel Di Maria and Marquinhos live. Ramos had his run-ins with Messi during the Argentine’s 16 seasons at Barcelona and the house sharing offer is the first episode in a new chapter of their relationship. It could still be some time before they appear on the pitch together. Ramos is out for two months with a thigh injury and Messi has not trained since the Copa America and is not expected to be available to Mauricio Pochettino (who was playing in defence for Espanyol when Messi made his Barcelona debut) before the end of the month. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9886539/Sergio-Ramos-invites-Lionel-Messi-family-stay-new-Paris-home-big-transfer.html lalasticlala mynd44 seun semid4lyfe honeric01 |
