Zamil3440: Thanks much, that's what I'm doing right now... Cos the refusal letter to me feels that was for someone else not me, may be the person that treated my case was at the same time treating a case of an individual who has family in Canada, you can never tell untill you address them, cos if you say you are refusing me cos you feel i won't leave Canada based on my family ties in Canada And I have no family or friends there and it wasn't stated in my form either, how can you be so sure I won't, with the ties back home? Company, properties, monies and fact that i have traveled to a neighbouring country 3 consecutive times in 2 yrs with no criminal records and was still able to renew my visa?? I await the response of my letter to them before I can proceed... @Zamil3440, Kindly update the house when they respond to your letter. Best of luck. |

Zamil3440: It is well.. did you do online or paper route? Mine was online and since January 23rd...
You won't believe i just got a refusal letter today, that was dated 31st of January, stating ugly facts that they are sorry they don't think I'm eligible based on my family ties in Canada, I don't even have any family members in Canada, I didn't even fill such in my form submitted, I think this people are just mean, so they kept me waiting for 3 months before sending me a refusal letter that was dated a week after my biometrics... something is wrong here..please I beg the gurus to help me respond to this kind of ugly letter... that was the only thing I got this morning and I'm surprised.... help oh!
A closing balance of 12M with a proper inflow and outflow of daily transactions A reference letter from my bank stating me as the sole signatory to the account and moneu
Landed properties Good travel experience USA 3 times, S.A. 3times UAE 10 times, with all the stamps clearly showing in my passport, I even just renewed my U.S. visa and that was sent too...
Company documents and pictures to back up Letter from my company stating I'm the CEO of the company and detailed purpose of visit...
What could possibly be going on... I urge the gurus to help me oh... Should I write to them or just re apply on a paper route this time?
How can you refuse someone a week after biometrics, and be sending the person letter of refusal that doesn't even make sense 3 months after submission?
Na wa oo @Zamil3440, Sorry about the outcome of your application. Your profile seem qualified enough to be issued a visa. I would suggest you request your gcms notes to know for sure what the VO's exact concerns are. That way you can address the concerns and refire. Sorry again! |

@AbujaNIV, @LagosNIV, please help.
My dad wants to renew his US visa and when he tried to retrieve his old application, its saying "No matching data found". We are 100% certain that we keyed in the numbers and alphabets correctly. How can we get around this please?
If it helps, he's 80yrs old, and his last US visa issued in 2015 got expired without use. Could this have any bearing on the situation?
Please help urgently. Thanks. |

Frankrobbn1: seyo99,
Use the below link to order for your GCMS Note. It goes for $5, but you will require someone who is a Permanent Residence of Canada, a citizenship , a Visitor, or a student that is legally residing in Canada to help order this note for you. You will need to input their address on the form, fill the form and resend it back to them to order the note on your behalf.
Or better still, ask for the person's address over there in Canada, download the form and complete payment here in Nigeria.
https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en @Frankrobbn1, good day to you. Please I'll like to ask if there's anything I need to do concerning this. I requested for GCMS notes through ATIP on March 23, 2018. Its exactly 30 calendar days today and I'm yet to receive any email from them. Is there anything I need to do at this point please? Thanks for your time. |

I'm asking because I helped someone pay(233cad) for her M.Sc evaluation this year, whereas, she had already evaluated her B.Sc in 2014. I want to know maybe I made a mistake by paying 233 instead of a lower amount. Thanks. |

preciousfab: Hi,
Please pardon me if this post is not following the thread. I am not sure am doing a good job with finding my way on Nairaland. All the same, I am trying to provide some information for all those who are asking about having information on cost for delivery without insurance in Canada.
Response
I was given the information that some hospitals have special reduced rate for women without Health Insurance coverage. The first thing then is to ask your hospital if they have payment plans for women with low income. Payment plans could be installment or a large cut off from the initial bill. In essence, dont be scared of the big figures you hear or see, you may not pay up to the big cost. They will need evidence you earn low and thanks to poor naira to dollar exchange ...all the big naira na small dollars. Your Nigeria payslip is enough for this I was informed. Having said that, if you provide me with the name of hospital , I could make calls for you to know their pricing and of other plans that will be beneficial. Good news is that, if they dont offer what is needed, they will refer to where such cheaper maternity services could be accessed. Anywhere in this place is good, the system works..no story...although some hospitals could have more facilities but basically...You will be fine...Pray also. @preciousfab, Please have you during the course of your findings found any hospital in Brampton with such package? Or atleast one that accepts cash payment? Thanks for your help. |

tp20112: i was checking the canada visa reqirement for visit visa and i saw this that if you have United States non-immi grant visa and can provide proof (entry stamps in passport, proof of thevalid visa) no bank statment is required is this really true has anyone that has a us vaild visa applied without showing his or her bank statment.. ? @tp20112, @Nadnad, Yes this information is truly stated somewhere on their website and I think its referred to as CAN+. But please, endeavor to include your bank statement with your application considering our country's status and reputation. Let them make the ultimate decision either to or to not consider your submitted bank statement because you qualify for CAN+. Or why else does "Proof of Means of Financial Support" come up in documents checklists after answering questions that might have suggested that one qualifies for CAN+. Better to err on the side of caution is all I'm saying. All the best. |

debbyomi: Why don't you use your husband's statement and include yours.
It shows ties back home. Your intention to return to your husband with sustainable income.
Can you draft a letter on behalf of your mom's company? The letter should state that you have been volunteering for a certain period (ongoing perhaps ) and also state the functions you perform. Also a meritorious award for 2016 and/or 2017 for your outstanding service to the organisation.
You wouldn't need payslips if you aren't paid salary.
All the best @debbyomi, @Eilenora, Good advice by debbyomi Some options are: 1. Apply together with your husband, then he will be the sponsor, and even though that will lift a massive weight off your own statement of account in terms of final balance, you will still need to include it in the application anyway. 2. Apply alone with your hubby as sponsor, still lifts burden off your statement of account, you will still need to include ur statement in your application, but also, your husband get to serve as part of home ties. All the best. |

Geeagu: Im quite surprised too but Nigerians don’t help. Just this past Feb, he complained that he delivered someone's baby via CS and before they left for hospital he asked the lady if she has paid and she said yes. He’s done delivery and returned to his clinic just to be called by hospital that the lady is yet to pay.
Just spoiling ground for well meaning people. Like hotstepper said, if you want abroad baby, have the abroad money.
For Dr Kayode, walking in to find info is better than phoning well in my case it was. All the info I was asking via phone was so easy to obtain when I walked in.
Wish you all the best @Eilenora, @Geeagu, @Hotstepper, I am seriously considering Dr Ayodele and Dr Seido because we will be able to stay with a friend in Brampton. I was going to put a call through to them this week but with this latest development of no cash-paying client, I'm confused. Any suggestions please, July is EDD. Thanks for your time. |

A GCMS NOTE - Is a note that gives the factual reason to why a visa officer refused your application.
Use the below link to order for your GCMS Note. It goes for $5, but you will need a Permanent Residence of Canada, a citizenship , a Visitor, or a student who is legally residing in Canada to help order for this note. All the best! Good day everyone, I need urgent assistance please, I'm tryin to request GCMS notes through the atip site, however, I got to this point that I'm not sure what the correct answer is and thought to ask elders in the know. Pls find attached the particular question in the screen munch. I guess it's the Immigratiom/Citizenship records, but then we need the GCMS for a denied TRV application(visitor's visa), hence my doubt. Secondly, the denied application is for a family of 5. Husband, wife & 3 kids. Please how do we go about the consent letter? Can it be from the husband alone, or the wife must write one too, what about the kids(all below 18yrs). Lastly, does the letter need to be addressed to a particular office in Canada, or it's enough to just write the letter giving permission for the Canada PR frithe me to request the information? Thanks a lot. @justwise, @jayfierce, @Jnyuwa02, @Frankrobbn1 and everyone please.

dserious: Lest I forget, ensure to carry all your tests and scan results from Nigeria cos the time will be too short to start running tests. Also, if possible, redo a scan as close to your travel date as possible. It would save you time, stress and money cos Dr. Ayodele accepted all my medical reports from Nigeria.
If you can, also do rubella and Strep B tests too cos I was sent to do them here at Lifelab for 65cad; i didn't have them from Nigeria.
Google the doctor Ayodele's office number and call ahead to book an appointment while still in Nigeria. Call them with a canadian number immediately you arrive to confirm you'ld be coming in for the appointment. I had my baby about 2weeks after my first appointment with them without any hassles...just have the complete money in cash to pay at your first appointment. @dserious, pls did you put a call through to Dr Ayodele directly or you got referred to him? If referred, is it by a family doctor/physician or through a walk in clinic? |

shynzee: Are you older than 80 years?
That's the only condition I know for now where an adult would not be required to provide biometrics. Please be very suspicious of these agents sometimes they get you into more trouble. You have to do your biometrics. I think even an adult 80yrs and above still gives biometrics, not just at vfs/cvac but at their embassy directly. I read it somewhere recently. |

Geeagu: Hi Manlikegb,
1. My visa was obtained in 2015 for visit which I already used same year to attend my friend’s wedding. When I decided to give birth here this year, I emailed the Canadian consulate in UK to ask if I could use the visa for birthing and they said yes but mentioned that the POE officer has the ultimate decision to either let me into Canada or not.
2. No they didn’t make any reference to that.
3. I think the fact that I was honest and I had the correspondence. I had a budget sheet as well that I listed the estimated amount + contingency as someone here advised me to so transparency is key. The asked other questions to ensure I’d be returning after delivery eg my job title, if my company agreed to give me 2 months (so I mentioned that I’m entitled to 52 weeks maternity). They asked if my husband was coming and I said that’s the plan but only if his job permits him.
In honesty I didn’t fidget a bit but I can’t tell if any of these mattered or influenced their decision to let me in. They asked how much I have but they never asked to see it♀️♀️
Sorry if I’ve not been able to directly answer your questions. @Geeagu, thanks for your response. Its quite helpful. Please, does anyone in the house know the email address of the Canadian Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria? I'm thinking to write to them as well and have the correspondence handy. |
