My opinion on the question are as follows:

Q4. I included family photos in my letter of explanation in primary applicant section

Q3. All document submitted on behalf of spouse was include in her letter of explanation section and also well itemized, referenced and explained in the letter.

Q1. To be on a safe side,go to CIC website and check for documents download the form, that ensures its the latest form. May be the form you download is not the recent one. for online application, only recent forms are accepted.check bottom of the form for the year.

I hope this helps. please arrange you documents properly and convincingly.Goodluck
@Travelpes, thanks for your time sir. I guess no idea on the question 2.

Yes, I downloaded the form from CIC website. Filled and validated it. Its the "check that it is viewable" after uploading it that I don't know how to go about.

As for the Letter of explanation, is there any required format? Do I have to address it to the Canadian Embassy? Do I need to sign it?

Thanks again.

@Overlord77, @Travelpes, @Jayfierce

I'm filling out an online application(renewing) for TRV for me and my wife. But I am not sure of a few things and would like if you can help me clarify.

1. I was unable to open the IMM 5257(Application form) from my document checklist but other forms like family information form opened. So I downloaded the IMM5257 to my computer, filled it out, and uploaded it. The site prompted me to double check to make sure I uploaded the correct document and that it is viewable. Now my question, how do I check that it is viewable?

2. I'm self employed so I was told to upload Business Registration, I understand this is CAC docs, but do I include the Company bank Statements and sole signatory letter from bank here OR I should include them with my personal bank statements under POF?

3. As my wife is an accompanying family member, there are 3 documents checklist for her, but the checklist didn't bring anything like Employment and POF for her. I have her employment letter, payslips and bank statement. Where do I include these files? Should I put them together with my own POF?

4. And finally, I want to include some family photos, where can I include those too?

Please I need your urgent assistance. God bless.

Sorry for all these days, my previous application was thru paper submission so there was no need for segmenting.

You see, the thing is that I didn't say you can combine NOCs. The ministerial instruction specific to express entry says so. smiley

The twitter handler would be right if that applies to FSW, but not for EE. At least according to the ministerial instruction.

Will provide the attachment later.
@cochtrane, I look forward to the attachment. Thanks.

Madcow:
Many thanks.

The TRV was for "General Visit" not study.
sleekysilk:
You still ave to cancel the TRV. Because for visiting, you are to prove beyond reasonable doubt that you don't have intention to stay back, that you are retuning to your country after the visit. Now that u have an ITA, that clearly negates ur intent because it means you have plans to permanently live in Canada. Based on ur dual (contradicting) intentions, ur TRV is likely to be rejected. So it's best you cancel it yourself. Hope I'm clear enough.
You still have to consider also that, sometimes when you withdraw an application, it returns and counts to you as a REFUSAL(read this somewhere on NL). I think it has to do with how long since its been submitted or something like that. Well, I don't think you should mind withdrawing your application still though, but I'd suggest after eAPR or AOR. No other reason than, incase the withdrawals comes as a refusal, you won't have to fill it in your PR application. Make sense?

Looked in detail into this foreign work experience stuff and found some things:

Apparently, CIC allows (or should allow) the use of foreign work experience (outside Canada) in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0, A or B. This means, you could effectively combine different NOCs in your application. This justifies merrymum's application which combined work experience in finance and oil&gas. This is acceptable as long as it

1. consists of full-time work experience
2. is acquired within the 10-year period preceding application
3. paid, etc.

So, if you've got 3 years of such various NOCs (0, A & B only), you can get the maximum points for express entry and obtain a decent CRS score. This is according to the ministerial instruction for the express entry application system. According to the document, under "Foreign Work Experience":

25 (1) For the purposes of sections 23 and 24, foreign work experience is work experience that

(a) is acquired by a foreign national outside Canada in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0 Management Occupations or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification matrix;

https://www.imgur.com/xjhs33D.png

Now, for the different schemes under EE, other conditions apply.

https://www.imgur.com/T9Rzr62.png

However, to qualify for PR under the Federal Skilled Worker program, you would need only one primary NOC and you'll make sure to have at least 1 year on this NOC, which should be 0, A or B. And of course, it must meet all the other FSW requirements as below. In the same vein, you can combine NOCs here to complete 1 year. However, they must all be in the same NOC.

https://www.imgur.com/RepQgPi.png

This would be what that IRCC tweet meant. The answer was posed wrongly and should have referred to the FSW program.

https://www.imgur.com/iPOTbfa.png

To qualify for PR under the Federal Skilled Trades program, your work experience would need to meet a separate list of requirements, including that it should be 2 years and should be within 5 years of application, not 10.

On the other hand, to qualify for PR under the Canadian Experience Class, the requirement for work experience is that it must be 1-year and be obtained within three years of application.

As you'll see, all of these different work experiences are all subset of the work experience required under express entry, which in itself has no limit on the number of NOCs you can combine.

So, as an example, let's say Bisi has 2-year work experience as a paid teacher and 1-year as a banker with GTB, all within 10 years of applying under FSW through Express Entry. Bisi should sure be able to claim maximum score for experience under Express Entry (3 years of experience), thereby boosting her CRS score. But in order to qualify for PR under FSW, she will only be able to use one NOC, either as a paid teacher (and claim 2 years) or as a banker (and claim 1 year). If any of these is unable to elevate her above the required 67pts under FSW, she may remain ineligible for FSW even though she may have high CRS score.

If the same Bisi has 5-month experience each as a paid teacher, banker, engineer & lawyer, she will have a sum of 1 year & 8 months experience in different NOCs which she can use to obtain a good CRS score under express entry, but will remain ineligible for PR under FSW as she doesn't have the required minimum of 1 year in any NOC, i.e. she has no primary NOC.

Similarly, if Bisi has 2-month experience each as an accountant with KPMG, E&Y, Deloitte, Firstbank, GTB & Stanbic (wow, Bisis must be one brilliant chic, lol!), she would have raked in 1-year experience in a primary NOC (accountancy) and should thus be eligible to combine these NOCs towards PR under the FSW scheme.

In the case of merrymum, my good guess is that while the sum of different NOCs boosted her CRS score under express entry, only one of the NOCs was sufficient to ensure she got the necessary score above 67 which she needed under FSW. Let's look at it: she has a 2.5-year experience as an engineer. This means she could have gotten for FSW, with CLB 9, 24pts on language, 21 pts for Education (let's say she has only Bachelor's), 11 pts for work experience, and 12pts for Age (I'm sure she is between 18-35). This would have taken her FSW score to 68/100 and would have qualified her neatly with only one job experience. She can come and clear this; I could be wrong.

These are just findings from looking at the details. We needed to clear this as it is causing too much confusion. Anyways, who knows, I may be wrong.
@cochtrane, thanks for your contribution on this topic. I hold the same opinion with you but this recent reply(find attached from 6days ago) I got from tweeting at IRCC is casting doubt on that opinion. Of course they(IRCC twitter handler) can make mistakes while giving answers to queries too which could be misleading to applicants. That’s why I’m keen on contributions from anyone in the house who has combined different NOCs before to clear the smoke. This will be very much appreciated.

Hi.
Sorry for the late response, yeah there was a year and half gap after my nysc.
Yes I am using the same NOC of nysc as my other job, which I got 1.5 years after nysc.
Since I could get ref letter from my ppa I decided to add it.
Thanks for the reply @Deebay, your profile is straight forward as your NYSC and other job fall on the same NOC. This is clearly acceptable by IRCC. My curiosity, and what still remains unclear, is if there's someone in the house who had combined an NYSC NOC different from other job NOC. That will be very helpful.

Congrats to all ITA recipients. May God see y'all through.

In my own opinion or rather what I did for mine: Employer is the name of my ppa and I go ref letter from the ppa.
@Deebay, I posted this about a week ago and I think you might be able to help answering the post below;

Please is there anyone in the house that claimed work experience points by adding their NYSC year? I have 2 question for y’all.

1. Was their a gap between your NYSC year and the year you started your other job after service year?
2. Was your NYSC NOC thesame or different from your other job NOC?

Why I’m asking is this; for an applicant to have been able to add their NYSC year to their work experience, then there’s a big chance that the 1yr NYSC NOC will be different from the NOC of the job they landed post NYSC year. Except of course if they were retained at their PPA. So if they were able to claim points for the above mentioned, then we can conclude that its possible to combine two NOCs and also possible to use two employers(jobs) to claim the most points one can.

To be eligible for Express Entry on the work experience criteria, you need a minimum of one year experience in an occupation under Skill level 0, A or B. To get the maximum points available for work experience, you must have 3 or more years verifiable experience in an eligible occupation.
Emmasonic4me:
From the above, I can have two and a half years experience as a teacher (using this as the primary NOC) and 9 months experience as a bank marketer (a different NOC) and be eligible as well as get maximum immigration point for work experience.... Is this correct?
Blackbuddy:
What skill level as a teacher and what skill level as a bank marketer does your work fall under? Have you identified the NOCs and can you get employer reference letters that reflect these work experoences? You need to determine these key issues first.
Emmasonic4me:
1.Secondary School Teacher: 4031- skill level A.
2.Financial Sales Representative : 6235- skill level B.

I can get reference letters for the two jobs although the salary for the first was handed in cash.
Blackbuddy:
Please ensure that the reference letter clearly indicates that you were paid in cash, all the best.

Quick question house.

I booked my IELTS exam for Saturday 11 November. I have heard that speaking comes about a week before the date you book, in my case which might fall on Saturday 4 November. That Saturday will be an issue for me.

Please is this a given? Or can i speak with British council to schedule my speaking for a weekday during the week of the 11th, or any day after i have written LRW?
@Tomiccell, yes it is possible. I've asked this question there before and was told to send an email to an email address given to me. However, since I have sent the email, I have not heard anything from them and I'm hoping they have received and treated it. Anyways, I'm planning to visit their office again to make sure they follow up with the request so I don't get surprised when the exam dates come out. So my advice is, visit their office.

Good Morning Everyone,

I have been processing My Wife's WES evaluation from Bayero Univeristy for a year and the school has not even sent the transcript till date not to talk of Email Confirmation/Verification.

I have paid a lot of people claiming to be helping me as i am not based in the country but no positive result/response.

Is there anyone that has gone through this difficulty? Can anyone please help me. This is really delaying my ass.

I'll really appreciate any positive response.
@raheemkeji, I'd suggest you find someone close to you that you trust to pay them a visit in the school. See if there's no underlying issue with your wife's credentials and see to give it a push by getting some contacts in the corresponding office to follow up with. Also, plan to motivate the contact you make if you know what I mean, as this is the order of the day now in most uni. 1yr is a long time and must have been so frustrating. All the best.

You can use experience acquired under multiple NOCs 0/A/B for CRS calculation. So, you will be able to get the maximum CRS points under employment and skills transferability sections.

However, only work experiences under one NOC (Primary NOC) will count towards eligibility. As you are already in the pool, it means you have got more than the required 67/100 under eligibility. So there is no need to modify your application.
Kudos @dupyshoo, you just nailed the way I've been interpreting this in my brain all along.

That said, do you(or anyone) think the profile below can claim 3years work experience and get maximum points?
NYSC service year(2011 to 2012)

Job B: 2015 - 2017(till date)

Kontagious:
It's very possible, i'd be glad to help.

PM sent, we can talk it out via mail/call.
You are such a nice and selfless individual @Kontagious, God bless and reward you. However, I realize I didn't ask the question right. I will rephrase it shortly now.
