All praise and glory to God who makes all things possible. It’s not my PPR yet but it’s IELTS victory and as a result, ITA is here.

On the day of the LWR exam, my seat was positioned near a candidate that could not read silently, he was also either knocking the desk with his pencil or pressing his knuckles. Two weeks later, the result came out and was LWRS 8.5 6.5 7 7.5 and I immediately went for a remark of my writing cos I was confident of what I wrote. Followed through with IDP Australia and God was by my side as my writing was upgraded. Sitting pretty on CRS 466, I got ITA yesterday.

This journey is not for the faint at heart, there were times that I thought the whole migration thing wasn’t meant for me. If u have to do it countless times, just keep at it because eventually it will pay off. Apologies for the long post ooooo

How did you follow up with IDP Australia pls? Have a friend that want to do EOR for writing too. Thanks.

urgent help needed concerning mba transcript in lautech.

IELTS passed since September 2017 and I’ve requested for mba transcript in lautech since November 2017, up till this moment, its been one story to the other. PG school claimed they don’t have the result so a request must be sent to the department to have the result sent to them. I personally went to Ogbomosho and escorted the request to the department of Management Sciences. Its sad and torturing that up till now, the result has not been sent to PG School after 13months. The strength to follow the thread varnished months ago because of this and I'm hoping to get back on track with the latest updates.

I’m crying out for any form of assistance as I don’t want to face the hurdle of IELTS anymore. And most importantly, birthday is just couple of months away and losing 5pts could cost a lot considering recent ITA cut off points.

I plead with anyone with any influential contact in lautech POST GRADUATE SCHOOL or The DEPARTMENT Of MANAGEMENT SCIENCES or lautech as a whole to please assist me on this. May we all achieve our dreams and it will end in praise.

1. The section for adding your child will show after ITA so it's normal
2. You don't need to include the jobs your are not claiming points for, they should be added to personal history post ITA
3. If spouse's experience isn't in Canada, pick no and write LOE post ITA to explain you have done that cuz you aren't claiming points for it. If you choose to include it, reference letter might be requested for and that's another stress IMO

Good day seniors,

After filling the questionnaires and while creating a EE profile, I realized that there was no section generated for a dependent child even though I picked family size of 3. I only have sections for the Primary applicant and the accompanying spouse, is this normal please?

Under work history while creating EE profile, do I have to list other jobs I’m not claiming points for? I know that should go into personal history at eAPR stage. How is it done at the pre-ITA stage?

Also, under work history(for SPOUSE) while creating EE profile, do I pick YES and fill the details or just NO. Spouse is self employed. If YES, won’t that mean reference letters would be required at eAPR stage?

Wow, I thought I know all these things but now I’m second guessing everything.

I am the primary applicant for EE and we just recently got an ITA; however, the problem is that my wife's NOC was mistakenly filled as Admin assistant instead of Admin officer when we entered the pool. Please can I still change it or just go ahead with the assistant thingy?

All my documents were acknowledged as received since Feb 20 and they are yet to send for verification till now. I have sent messages via Twitter, email, and called twice. Still praying and hoping for an update. Meanwhile the 20days timeline has not started counting.

I hope this has been resolved by now.

But if not, continue disturbing them on those channels. Twitter, Mail via "Contact Us" form and Call. Especially twitter - tweet at them publicly and through DM. For your privacy, only include your WES Reference No when you send them DM. They do reply and help.

Note: this is not my personal application but I was involved in the whole application.

You are indeed lucky and highly favored. People get banned for 5yrs for misrepresentation for that mistake you made in your first application. That the refusal letter did not come with a ban is the testimony. Big congratulations to you.

I have a situation that I would like you guys to weigh in on, please.

I am about to start a new job in Nairobi and will have to relocate. As a Zonal Specialist, I will be coordinating our work in 17 African countries meaning I will always been on the move.

Now, I am pregnant and would like to birth my baby in Canada. Please here are my concerns

1. Can I apply for tourist visa and indicate that I am going for child birth. My second baby. I intend to ask my doctor in Canada to send a support letter. I will also book hotel and flight in advance. Please is this the right type of visa?

2. I want to apply here in Nigeria but what if they are still with my passport by the time I need to travel to Nairobi and other countries. What do will I do?

3. Can I apply from Kenya after settling in. I have a work permit. My family will relocate with me except hubby who will be in Nigeria. Will be it wise?

Apologies for the long post but I need to explain my situation so the advice I receive will be useful.

Anybody with a better idea , kindly suggest to me.

2. I'd suggest you do an online application. That way, you won't have to drop your physical passport, it will only be requested when your application has been approved.
3. I believe its not a bad option too. Just that your home ties won't be as strong as if you were to apply from Nigeria. Personally, I'm more inclined towards applying online from Nigeria.

My plan is to pay that up and raise some good capital to the one i already have and just let it work slowly for me like buhari. Lol
I'd never be like my dad, that guy work till 2005 and died 2008 @ 96. Yes he had me when he was old. Lol

@Thisnut, What bank is in quote here please? And what if you pay everything back within the first year. That means they gain nothing. Or its a must your spread out the payment for the number of years agreed?

For someone like me, I couldn't lock in at the time because my last TB investment will just mature tomorrow March 14th.

Now here's the dilemma, as of right now, I can still contact my investment company to roll over(this will lock into today's auction). This would mean that I would be getting something in the region a little below whatever the stop rate of the auction today is, which is expected to drop even lower compared to the last stop rate.

Seniors in the house, what would you suggest.

-Should I roll over and take whatever the interest rate is like that?
-Should I lock in for secondary market after today's auction for a short tenor - say 90days - then hope that interest rates would have picked up by the time the 90day investment matures, and I can then go long.

I'm just confused, and I don't want to lose much because I have already been calculating the interest I would get with rates of as at 2 auctions back until the election outcome hit it on the head. The difference in the interest I could have gotten if the rates remained in the region of 14% - 14.5% and now 13%(speculation) is hurting so much.

The Visionscape bond has the following defects

1. It is not a green Bond. Not backed by FGN
2. At 15.75%, it's not the next big thing
3. It was a private placement and not sold to the public so you will hardly find people like us here investing in it
4. Since it was a private bond, there is very little the SEC can do about it since the general public was not involved
5. It was only offered to qualified investors by private placement. The guys in the club nurse their problems
6. because it was private placement, the transaction was therefore not subject to the prior review and approval of the commission and does not fall within it's regulatory review
7. The contract of Visionscape was revoked by the Lagos assembly and given to PSP operators without sympathy from Lagosians. Remember this is one of the reasons Ambode fell out with political gladiators in Lagos State.
8. The bond did not get the backing of the Lagos assembly and was not gazetted into law to transcend leadership changes, so investors will wait for the next government of Lagos to help them out

NOTE

this cannot happen to a federal government bond, savings bonds or the SUKUK or Treasury bills. These have the backing and full faith of the federal government of Nigeria. These also transcend leadership changes at the top.

SUKUK is scarce though. People are not selling according to my own broker. I even called TRW stockbrokers Ltd. They only have about 2m-3m of the bond left for sale. Then, the penalty that comes with not holding the bond to maturity sound extreme. Really can't remember how he explained it. So I don't think its an option for me right now.
