Kontagious:is it possible to help my spouse pick up result(ielts TRF) at British Council office and also help my spouse request a EOR(remark). The result is LRWS-6.0,6.0,7,7. Thanks. @Kontagious, @bigfido, @tbaby2015, @threadstone, @boldinc, @yooku @sleekyslik |
schules:@schules, I just want to ask, did you fill a "name update form" either at the speaking test or on the main exam date. I'm thinking this could be the reason for the delay maybe? |

travelpoint:@travelpoint, seems like we can learn a lot from your experience. Applying from the US, how were you able to proof home ties? How did you sort POF? Did you arrange some documents you need and take with you when leaving for the US? Thanks for your time. |
travelpoint:@travelpoint, how were you able to reflect all transactions covered within those 6-months with just 5 pages? Thank you. |
deeore:@deeore, I'm a bit confused by the bolded. Some say its London, ON while some say its London, UK. Which one is indeed CORRECT please? |
[quote author=manlikegb post=60319005]Ok, thank you very much for your time, I’ll like to add that; 1. She had a complete 1yr work experience at a different company PRIOR to joining this current company where she’s been working for the 2yr & 8months. Is it possible to combine both to make up for 3yrs and of course claim full points? I know that using the CRS TOOL, it has to be in a single occupation. A friend said for EE pool, it doesn’t have to be a single occupation only. I just want clarity, thanks. 2. Her sibling got married to a Canada PR holder in Nigeria earlier this year but is yet to finalise paperworks(still processing) to go be with the spouse in Canada. Since the spouse(in Canada) is already a sister-in-law, is it possible to claim the "family in Canada” 15points using her? Pls take a look at the attached. @canadianfly, what is your take on question 2 above? After reading your old comment quoted below, I just thought maybe you may have someone from the zillion friends of yours who have dealt with the kind of situation before. Thanks. "Let me answer your 2nd question. I have a zillion Canadian citizen friends in Canada but it is illegal to deceive CIC. And you will have to prove it by documentation, birth certificates with both your parents names on there. Besides if the relative is not a blood relation, I.e. Mother, father, sibling...forget it. Except you want to go the PNP route where you get points for having a relative living in that province". |
cochtrane:@cochtrane, you're too much bro. Thanks Thanks. |
MummyJaygirls:Thanks @MummyJaygirls, I appreciate. |
cochtrane:@cochtrane, thanks for your response to my post earlier. Somehow I couldn't get to quote you back on the same post to thank you, don't know why it didn't show the regular(quote,like,share)- strange. Anyways, referring to the bold statement above, you're the second person I'm hearing/reading that from. Is there a link to where I can find this info online? Thanks. |

@40manlappy, @blackbuddy, @cochtrane, @boldinc, @MummyJaygirls, @DereI, @bigfido, and everyone. Please help with this - For someone who has worked at a SINGLE company for 2years and 8months, is that enough to claim points for 3yrs work experience OR does it have to be a WHOLE 3yrs, i.e full 36month to be able to claim points for 3yrs? Thanks for your help. |
adeivie:@adeivie, I don't think so. You will need to have Lautech send ur transcript to WES, while you are personally required to send a photocopy of your certificate to WES. Its worth noting that you can make use of online free fax option to send this(certificate) to WES. I've never read it anywhere that a Statement of Result is acceptable. |
Dear VO(AbujaNIV), I paid visa fees with cash at GTBank and I’ve just submitted our(me&wife) DS-160 application and went on to the appointment site. Since I have a previous profile used to schedule our appointment in 2015, I just edited the information with the new Application ID, answered the questions, input the receipt no from recent GTB visa fee payment, and we both are qualified for Interview Waiver Program(dropbox). However, on our dropbox confirmation letter, I noticed that the UID numbers is the same as the ones we used in 2015 to obtain our expiring visas. Although the receipt no from the visa payment I made few days ago is also listed, I am a bit concerned as to why the UID is the same as the old one? Please enlighten me VO, incase this is a mistake on my part and there’s any step I need to take to rectify this before I submt at DHL. Thanks always. |
balogunsam:@balogunsam, I have a similar profile to yours and I'm confused if 'Self employed' means I'm not eligible to partake in the Express Entry FSWP. Please let's share ideas, opinions and findings. Thanks for your time. |
jelmusboy:@jelmusboy, must be one big relief to get your verification done even with the ongoing strike. I would like to ask you a thing or two in that regards as I am stuck in the situation as well. Can you PLEASE send me your phone number to my email: manlikegb@gmail.com I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for your time. |
Toqunbur:@Toqunbur, I sent you a message to your email(got it from one of ur previous posts). Its about WES verification. Kindly respond bro. God bless. |

NeeYoh:@NeeYoh, referring the bolded statement above, is it compulsory to have the document in black and white? Reason I am asking is because I already have a scanned copy of my degree certificate(coloured) and I intend to just upload it and send to WES through free fax services online. Please guide me with your knowledge. 2. Also, how do I include my WES Reference number with the degree certificate using the fax route? 3. Assuming I made a photocopy of my certificate, is it advisable and acceptable to use a pen to write my WES Reference boldly on it? 4. Would it be sufficient to type my Reference No in the the "Fax message" column. Thanks for your time. |
Algbenguze:@Algbenguze, sorry to hear about your result. I wish you the very best in your next sitting. I quote you that not even a disappointing 2nd,3rd,4th try is good enough to discourage anyone. All the best. However, could you share any tips or ideas on how to get study materials and prepare for the exam? I have checked BC sample tests, but I feel I need many more to practice with over and over. Thanks for your help. |
perks:@perks, this is an awesome result, congrats. Please how did you prepare for the ielts exam? Any useful tips please, thanks. |
Ehrnie:Thanks for your reply @Ehrnie. One more question though, My wife's brother recently got married to his fiancee(she lives in Canada, came to Nigeria for the wedding) that I believe is a PR or Citizen, do you think this counts for additional points for us in the EE pool where it was asked if we have any family living in Canada? My wife is the primary applicant and our estimated CRS score is below 400. Thanks for your time. |
Quick question house, For someone that recently quit his occupation(about 6months ago), but had had about 3yrs continuous work experience before quitting, is this person still qualified for FSWP and the Express Entry Pool? Thanks your your help. |
chybaz:@chybaz, msc with 3rd class really possible? Any reference in terms of School and course please? Thanks a lot. |
wealth360:@wealth360, Could you remind your contact/friend(@chonewillie) to share his/her profile? Some of us are still looking to learn from it. It will be much appreciated, thanks always. |
