In Delta State , Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan , yesterday emerged winner over Ogboru the great again, in the governorship election held in the state. It was a count down between Uduaghan and Ogboru on who to be the state governor. Uduaghan, who is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate scored a total of 525,793 votes to beat his closest rival, Chief Great Ogboru of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) who polled 433, 834 votes. His emergence as winner came after the results of four local government areas whose results were not earlier released Wednesday, were announced yesterday morning by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Gabriel Adah. The four local government areas announced, finally gave the PDP a total of 13 local government areas as against the DPP’s 12 local government areas won during the election. Announcing the results yesterday morning, Dr. Adah said Dr. Uduaghan won a landslide victory. It is pertinent to note that the two political parties shared equally the votes of the four local government areas as each of them got two local government areas each. The results are for the DPP, : Ndokwa East 7,:315, Ndokwa West 16,428, Sapele 15571 and Warri South West 10, 852 while the PDP scored Ndokwa East 13,068, Ndokwa West10,255, Sapele 15,072 and Warri South West 59, 150. With his re-election, Uduaghan, appears to have silenced Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark who had been critical about his administration and has determined to see him out of power. Meanwhile, the DPP has vowed to contest the results in the court of law, alleging serious manipulations. Reacting to the results yesterday , the state deputy governor-elect, Prof. Amos Utuama (SAN) urged opposition parties in the state to accept the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the April 26 governorship polls and join hands with the winner, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan to develop the state. Utuama, who was running mate to Uduaghan , speaking with reporters after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Uduaghan winner of the polls said, “We have passed the bridge of politics to the bridge of governance. Let us come together and join His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan in order to nurture good governance.“Deltans should continue to rejoice and continue to support this government. We will do more for them, ” Speaking on the PDP victory, Utuama said, “First I dedicate the victory to God, I dedicate the victory to PDP. I dedicate the victory to all Deltans. Those unknown Deltans who voted for us, I dedicate the victory to them. God has used them to give us the victory, I dedicate the victory to them.” Posted by Hercules at 02:31 Labels: Delta State news, governorship election |

Why won't pastors heel amputees? Why won't they make amputated limbs grow back like the victims of the Sierra Leone civil war for example. Am sure if Pastor Chris or any other so called man of god would heel an amputee live on stage (in front of a worldwide audience) then we would have no reason to doubt their magical powers Mabel and Joagbaje answers please. ![]() |
I thought you had to die first before you were allowed to go to [/s]imaginary[/s] heaven. So has god changed the rules and allowed people to visit heaven in their dreams? |
Amareal:you sound like a very confused soul. How can you be married to a woman to five years before you begin to realise that she is not your wife? Why didn't you realise this during the time you spent with her before you got married? Dyt:And why did you ignore the above question? ![]() |

@PAGAN 9JA i respect the fact that you stick to your tradtional hausa pagan beliefs rather than to go with the flow and follow islam or christianity. It proves that you can think for yourself unlike most people who are born into the box of a particular religion and can't think outside the box of that religion. I am an atheist was born and bred into a weak catholic family here in london {minus the indoctrination and the dogma} as soon as i reached my teens and began to question religion and other things foundout about dinosaurs and evolution which sounds more credible and made more sense to me i realized that god is imaginary. And i would rather practice my traditional urhobo beliefs like you {if i knew them} than practice the beliefs of either of two imported religions. |

I just dey bow for those people that say what was a very free and fair election by international observers was rigged. The same would never when elections are held in developed countries it just shows that Buhari supporters cannot accept the fact that they lost the elections. |
And to even think that I would have voted for Buhari if o was in Nigeria during the elections. Buhari should learn to be graceful and show gratitude to his opponent in his defeat like leaders in developed countries. |
