We are all products of our environment thats why someone born in the middle east wil most likely be a muslim someone born in Europe would most likely be a Christian and someone born in Asia a Buddhist its very rare for someone to change from Islam to Buddhism or Christianity most will just live and die in the religion they were born and bred into. They will also defend that religion due to to the mental conditioning from childhood despite all the flaws and inconsistencies in it. What about you poster which religion were you born and bred into?

It all depends on the Pastor if the psotr is greedy then his God is greedy if the pastor is not greedy then he will not demand for tithes first fruit 100th fruit offerings etc meaning his god is not greedy.

When christian topics are raised in muslims' section, they are left there. This is giving preference to the muslims.

I am of the opinion that threads discussing topics on both religions should be left where they are posted.

I agree with you 100% but i personally do not do that. Its most likely JeSoul that moved it or even possibly Mukina2 or Seun but i know myself any topic that looks like it contains both islam and christianity in its contents i leave here (so at least those who have been banned from that section) can comment but i can't stop anyone else from moving it.

However, it seems that the government on nairaland is dancing somewhere between Jonathan's administration marked by being slow, insouciant, and blind AND Abacha's militant rule because you have decided to ignore AND/OR reject the request of atheists. The request is simple : GIVE THE ATHEISTS THEIR SECTION.

I understand you might all be worshipers of something and so might be afraid of what your God(s) will do if you give us our section, but i can assure you that we can protect you from the fires of hell, all you need to do is to listen to REASON and be EMPIRICAL.

To me there's a lot more to it than religion. I was in Nigeria from the middle of November until the middle of January and noticed the general indiscipline in our society I have seen women pull up their dress insert their finger between their legs with both legs wide apart & begin to urinate in full view of the public is just one example. Reading stories about babies being stolen from churches to be used for ritual purposes is another, what about children being ostracised from their families because they have been accused of being witches by a their pastor or a family friend & many nigerians still believe in juju. We still have a long way to go the brain of the african man is still evolving.
