South east will give Obi protest votes. Atiku will share North votes with Tinubu and Kwankwanso, even Obi will still get some votes from enlightened Northern electorates. Tinubu is not guaranteed up to 50% of South west vote. Lagosians are disgruntled and tired of Tinubu, Osun is between Tinubu and Aregbesola camps, Ekiti, Ondo, even Ogun where Tinubu demeaned and diminished their Governor as "Eleyi." 2023 election is not going to be a walk-over for any of the three major gladiators i.e Tinubu, Atiku and Obi.

It is going to be death by hanging because that is what the Nigeria penal system mandates for all capital offences. However the execution of the sentence may never be carried out because the consent of the Governor is required to sign a death sentence. Most Governors are reluctant to sign the execution warrant. Wike ke? O wrong now. Wike is too wild and ambitious to be tamed as a VP. It is a very fatal political error to pick an ambitious VP. Go and ask Obasanjo. Jonathan and Osibanjo managed crisis as VPs because they are naturally humble. I don't see Wike as a cooperative VP.

Jagaban, or PYO or Lawan, APC is between the devil and the deep blue sea. Atiku picking PDP presidential ticket actually rattled APC. Jagaban will have the problem of a running mate who is acceptable to the North. North will never support a pastor. Lawan is a green horn when it comes to presidential election. Those who voted Atiku in 2019 will have no strong reasons to change their minds. Those who did not vote for him did not because Buhari was on the ballot at that time not because Buhari was APC. Atiku will likely pick the bulk of Buharis 2019 votes.

An average northerner will always support their own. This may play out during the election proper in 2023, especially if APC fields a southern candidate. Even APC chieftains from the north will queue behind Atiku.
