Mannymanny: Hello guys, I’d like to know the amount of deposit to get CAS for the following schools: Sheffield Hallam University, Salford Uni, Sunderland uni, Roehampton uni, Coventry Uni
My wife wants to apply for MSc Public health with her HND and I intend going as a dependant since I have Msc here in Naija so I can work full time and settle the bills/debts. So I’m looking at any city that’s full of opportunities to hustle well.
Also, asides Public health what other similar courses in the health line can she apply for? She has HND lower credit in microbiology.
Any advice pls?? This is urgent pleaseeee.. any answers would be appreciated. Thanks |

JerryLekki: Yes. It has been used many times by many people. If you are still not satisfied, you can do a conversion process at the Ministry of Interior easily to get Ikoyi-level. No need to stress everyone. Oh thanks man. So there’s a conversion process? Do you have an idea what it entails and the cost? |

I want to know if marriage certificate obtained at local government registry can be used to process international travel visa for spouse or it has to be strictly federal government registry.
Has anyone used local government registry certificate for visa applications before?
Your inputs are welcome. Thanks. |

aieromon: Yes.
July 2010.
In order to meet up, I had to take a bike from CMS to Victoria Island inside heavy rain. I was 10 minutes late and spent another 20 minutes in the rest room to freshen up.
It was a shower of blessing as I nailed the interview and got the job at the end of the day. Oga Solo |

Barbiturate: People no longer get FG jobs via merit in this country. The person that got his via merit here must have finished school in the 80's or early 90's or must be in APC and trying to deceive people. Getting a FG job nowadays is either you buy slot or you have connection or someone just decide to help your life out of pity!
I will tell you categorically, with all my chest and from my bitter and terrible experience, that there's nothing like merit in this country again. I was involved in NNPC, NSITF, Civil service etc.
Passed NSITF test, was called for interview twice. Checked the list before it was sent to FCC, I was the highest in all aspects from my state. Names sent to FCC. Still went to check from the secretary to the commissioner, my name was still intact. When it was finally sent to NSITF, my name wasn't there anymore. I saw a guy who collected 2 Apl for his madam's daughters who were based abroad and never took part in any of the process. We paid about 2k or so in the bank for the recruitment and I still have my receipt.
NNPC 2011 recruitment, I passed test, did interview. We even formed a group on naira land. None of us got it. They stopped the process, but were giving APL underground via connections.
Northern top government officials help their fellow northern job seekers. Southern officials, most especially Igbos, find it so hard to help their people. I once contacted Ngige and senator utazi, what they told me was heart breaking. I even took different wine to utazi in Enugu, and he told me point blank that if it's because of job, I should take it back. The commissioner representing my state in FCC is the worse. Omooooo... Nawa oo |

philipianlobbos: Though, both committee on petroleum (HoR & Sen) has submitted a joint list.
Your senator should sign and submit your recommendation letter before calling the ES. The recommendation letter should carry just your name, only.
What GOD can't do doesn't exist. Thanks boss |

philipianlobbos: You need not bother yourself Mr. Saheed.
Firstly, your senator must have discussed with the PEF ES before sending the letter. Secondly, your name and qualifications alone can get your employment in PEF. All they do is to train you to their own standard, open your brain to the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. Thirdly, these senators and the ES have their ways of running these employment stuffs for their candidates. Don't worry yourself at all. My prayer for you is, you guys shouldn't be much in that recommendation letter e.g, if your qualification is business administration and there are petroleum engineering on that same letter, then your chance is a bit low. Summarily, you don't need to bother yourself with CV, those who really want to help you to get a job only need your "name and qualifications". Obviously, your appointment letter will be sent to the Senator since your phone number and email address isn't specify. All you need is just keep reminding the senator through text message not forget you at this point.
Best wishes Mustapha!!! Sorry to jump in, are you saying it’s not too late to join the PEF train for GT? Do I have to tell the senator to drop a recommendation letter to the ES on my behalf?? |

Please everyone, I’m a Petroleum engineering grad with 2:1 and currently undergoing MSc after searching for job for a while. A senator recently asked if I have any place in mind I’d like to process. I’m thinking of NCDMB, although I’m currently in the recruitment process but it’s on hold generally. Also I’m thinking of PEF but I heard they’ve taken their candidates and have done induction. Which other make sense agency can I pick pls. Your response would be well appreciated. Thanks |

aurorae1: Sincerely getting a job from here will be très difficile. This will be because 1. The language issue I highlighted previously. They will also prefer their own graduates. 2. The costs involved in sponsoring someone from here. This means the company must prove that there is no one on ground in the country to do that job. 3. The coronavirus saw people all around the world lose their jobs. Hence it's still a limiting factor.
Honestly, I haven't and don't know anyone that has gotten a job from here. It's not a pathway I know about. Please do your research.
About the scholarship, they're already providing free tuition even though they don't have to. They're hard to come by. Wow, thanks for these insights man. |

aurorae1: You can apply for a job seekers visa before your studies end, it's for a year. You need to show POF for this(I think twice the POF for a yearly student's visa, do some research on this). If no job after that year, omo you bounce.
For POF, this year was 123,519 NOK, though it's been increased to 124,100 NOK(again please check on this, a trip to the official immigration site www.udi.no should do)
Bringing a family along will definitely increase things, you'll need to pay visa fees, show POF for them (again www.udi.no as they update these prices from time to time ) flight, accomodation, feeding, maybe fees for kids and other miscellaneous expenses. Norway is one of the most expensive countries in the world to live in, so do keep that in mind. I just checked the website and I can’t find info regarding POF amount for a spouse coming along to live with me during the MSc duration... I’d be grateful if you could point that out to me. Also, anyone on this thread could help out with that |
