you're wrong here. OP is only encouraging you to think outside the box. The Mary Kay cosmetics you hear about is a billionaire in the US and a lady who never used any certificate any day. Look at where you can be and not where you are at the moment. Facebook and WhatsApp cum Instagram, you know the story nah. I'm a graduate with a good certificate but I'm not making use of it at the moment and I've raised money to marry and start a family. Appreciate every advice that come your way and don't be close minded pls. Try listening to many rich men worldwide speak, they will tell you same thing this write up said. Peace...
I have a little company with 5 employees working for me, a Facebook and Instagram company page. Married, no kids yet and a personal house I live in. All these I achieved on my own without the use of certificate and even before I graduated from school. Don’t get me wrong but we deserved more in this country. All the 4am classes is just a waste of time. I know a lot of my fellow classmates who are security guards, Keke riders, kiosk owners, POS kiosk and hair makers. Is this the kind of life an average graduate with excellent certificates should be living in Nigeria? The only option a jobless graduate can venture into is entrepreneurship and it’s not cheap. Skill acquisition isn’t cheap as well. My comment speaks for thousands of jobless youth who have no means of getting capital even if they intend to go into entrepreneurship. As for skill acquisition through internet, forex, freelancers. You and I know that shiit ain’t easy at all.

What VP just did is, he gave you a clue on how, corruption, money laundering and terrorism has been breeding in Nigeria through Anonymous corporation and companies and he went as far to say they are not illegal. He said and I quote “Although anonymous companies are not always illegal”. How can you tell me companies registered under Securities And Exchanges Commission attain anonymous status. Ralpdee123:
Good morning Nlanders,

I have been considering quitting my police job to find something more productive & profitable to do with my life as a result of poor pay & lack of promotion.....

I was enlisted into the NPF since year 2009 at 21yrs, I was single then with big aspiration that someday I will move to the top echelon. While in the job, I struggled to send myself to school and bagged my first degree and through to masters level.

But one thing I have noticed is that there is no upward movement within the NPF unlike the other armed forces and some paramilitary agencies that have internal promotional policies of upgrading their personnel based on academic qualification and merit.

The first and only time this ever happened was five years ago when it was widely reported across all news platforms that the NPF was ready to promote graduates within the force to ASPs, exam was conducted, I passed and was selected to go to Abuja for final interview. It was a rough road for me as it was my first time at the FHQ, Abuja. But after like a week, the process was suspended indefinitely. That was the first time I heard the term MERIT LIST VS NATIONAL INTEREST LIST...the Senators and Reps etcs wanted to replace the list with their candidates and they disagree amongst themselves so the process was cancelled.

I must confess my family is getting larger now and the pay I get can't feed us not to talk of paying school fees. I had to double my hustle with side biz to meet up....

Even the Police academy now turn out graduates ASPs every year who are now superiors after just a few years. So what about us with requisite qualification and experience, don't we deserve to be promoted...?

It is on this note that I want to call it quit and move on...

So I need advice in this regard... Should I call it quit or still hold on a bit...cos I don tire......?

NB: For those of you that will be saying yenyenyen shocked police likes twenty Naira.... I have never received bribe from anyone throughout my 11 years in the job. I am the kind of Police Officer that you would meet on duty and would love to be a police officer.... grin

Please professionals in the house.... Flood my thread with your wealth of experience abeg....

.... Help me do the needed for a wider view.... wink
I hope you are not the Officer Raphael who Extorted me with your thieves colleagues at gun point of 540k in 2016 in Warri? if you are may God continue to punish you with unending poverty and suffering.

Better find your way out of that region and make a life for yourself.

Let me tell u something pal:
Go to Obajana cement factory in Kogi state see what Dangote has done for them.it's the biggest cement factory in west Africa. there is no vandalization of any sort by the communities, both the elders and average people have gotten employment with at least labourer work to do..the working environment is made safe for all.

But in your Niger Delter, everything is war. marginalization. oil is on our land. these. that. people are even tired of hearing Niger Delter issues. Are you people the only one?
If you can’t understand my opinion it ain’t my fault bro, maybe your brain IQ couldn’t carry it. Kogi State na u wan te compare Delta. Chai! We don suffer! For your info I did my NYSC in Governor’s office building, Lokoja. Kogi stinks with corruption that anywhere else in this country. Kogi State Case na only God himself will handle it. They should hold their state leaders not federal govt.
Niger Delter minister na their person.
Yar'Adua was the the northerner that created the Niger Delter ministry for peace to reign..
Every promise of the federal government to Niger Delter is kept to avoid vandalization.
Their state leaders are responsible, or is it the federal government that ask most of the oil companies to relocate or park out of the region NO. it's the attitude of the people.

My dear visite Niger Delter and see for urself. the youths don't want anything even to work, all they want is money.
I need to clarify this and correct you. When you say the Youth don’t want to work and wants money, you are wrong. Statistics has it that 75% of Niger Delta Youth are educated or has acquired skills through one form of training or other. I agreed that bad leadership who misappropriate public funds meant for the development one of Niger Delta is of the many reason Niger Delta is so underdeveloped today. Please get your facts right and stop saying what you don’t know. I for one is a graduate in Accounting and a junior ICAN but self employed because of the situation here in Delta State. We have so many graduates here in South South and few touts. One major problems here are the traditional leaders who are more greedy than the devil himself. A lot of youths wants to work but job opportunity here in South South is below zero percent compared to any other part of this country.
Politics › Re: Ijaw, Itsekiri Unite Against Oil Companies, 20 Years After Warri War by MansoryMX(m): 10:27am On Jul 14, 2020
In as much as our Niger Delta leaders have failed us whole fully by selling our birthright for peanuts called 13% and squandering it, I will still blame the Federal Government. Government are not living up to their responsibilities by providing basic amenities which they are obliged to do for the people of South South.

1. Almost all Federal Roads in South South are bad.

2. Warri port is nothing to write home about. If functioning, this alone will boost economic growth here and raise businesses from the dead. But a lot people I believe don’t want economic boost down here so they made sure it stop functioning.

3. Electricity Zero. Recharge of 5k I bought January ending hasn’t finished yet, that tells you how bad electricity is down here.

Portable Drinking water Zero

Provide just these 3 things to the people by forcefully using 3 percent of that 13% you claim you give their representatives. Who una dey deceive with all these rubbish about giving 13%. Last time went to Abuja I almost cried, Niger Delta Oil money have been used to develop a lot of places up North, Yet the powerhouse has no single development. Companies have all relocated from here. The only local parent NNPC here is being run by same Hausa, Fulani and Yoruba Muslims right under our nose. The last and only foreign company is seriously making plans to relocate to international water just like Shell because it’s been frustrated by both our State Leaders and Federal cabals you North.

Of all the sections addressing same sex relationships in the criminal code and same sex marriage (prohibiton) act, the nearest he comes to breaking any is same sex marriage (prohibition) act 2013, section 5 subsection 3: Aiding or Solemnicising a Same-Sex Marriage or Supporting an LGBT Organisation. And going by his activities, it will be easy for his lawyers to make a case for him if served. I'm sure he knows this.

I wasn't questioning your taste in music but pointing out that contemporary hip hop musicians are worse influence than Bobsrosky, whether Nigerian or otherwise. In fact, the ones here in the Americas are even worse.
When I say I love American music, I wasn’t talking of Brats like lil baby or young thug all these new generation spoil brats. My taste of music has to do with John Legend, Brian McKnight, Jay-Z, New Edition, Keith Sweat. That kind of music lol.
