What else are u supposed to be studying? Why the chicken crossed the road?

I can't believe some of the comments here. Anyone that supports the 18 year old has no business complaining abt Nigerian leaders. There is nothing like overnight wealth from a legitimate source except it's an inheritance. The talk about jealousy is just silly, here I was thinking Nigeria still has hope. With peeps like these,

A satisfying footballing weekend. First Real won, then Barcarole dropped points and now PDP, em sorry, ManUre,  ;Dgot their a$$ whipped in their own backyard. It doesn't get better than this.  

Reading those fees, the first thing that came to my mind was wtf. How many families can afford those fees. Western college education is much more expensive comparatively but there are scholarships, fellowships and loans that are spread out for at least 20 years after graduation, that makes it very affordable at least for their nationals. Also, education is free until the end of high school, so families have 16-18 years in a functioning economy to save up for their kid's college degree. Until we get those same conditions in Naija, comparisons will remain unrealistic.

If you can pick out the reason(s) u love someone then you haven't yet lost ur head. When u've lost it completely is when u haven't the slightest clue why u love them but u do anyway. That way whether they stay the same or change, it changes nothing-heard that from somewhere.
Drawing from that I'll say most of the time we're still at the stage where we haven't yet 'lost our heads', and since u cannot separate the individual from his qualities -inner or outer - when they change, our disposition towards them changes as well.

In the end a whole family is almost entirely wiped out because of insatiable greed. Did he deserve to die that way? That will be debated for years to come. But let no one underestimate the task ahead for libyans. Those 'rebels' will simply not hand in their weapons. The issues run deeper than we want to admit.

At the end of the day every man must take responsibility for his actions. I have my doubts about Islam being a religion of peace because of some koran verses I have read myself. Having said that though generalizations often don't work. Some Muslims have simply chosen to ignore those. Guess it's a case of someone who is hell bent on being evil finding excuses to do same.

@poster, love's a beautiful thing wen u find it, so pray that God shld change the hearts if ur parents. It's a good thing to have one's parents blessing in a marriage, but if they refuse to see beyond their noses then u must take control of the rudder of ur lives! It's ur lives afterall. They live theirs, they shld let u live yours!

Pusillanimity Redefined

Just seeing this for the first time. I really am saddened. Met him once in Surulere last year, thought he was a warm guy the way he related with his retinue of friends. R.I.P. MC LOPH. Sad.

IMO those supporting the removal of the subsidy are just being shallow and not thinking for themselves. The argument about it freeing up resources that would then be used to provide basic amenities does not follow logic one bit. The big question to ask yourselves is, all the resources our govt has amassed all these years what have they done with them? And you think they will do better if they get more? That's crappy thinking. It will only make there loot more. These days we talk about people stealing billions, that will just graduate to trillions in stolen money.
On the one hand I do not want it implemented because of the dire hardship it will add on Nigerians, but on the other hand maybe they shld go ahead with it, then maybe the revolution I have been craving for can finally take place and we can begin to take our place in the comity of sane nations.
Any news out of Naija rite now is just an absurdity!
I really am saddened.
