Holy Ghost!!

I heard there are different kinds of virgins in nigeria. Those who do everything under the sun except Joystick in v.a.g.
I still dont know what to call them, am thinking sexually active virgins? but still
grin grin grin.
BTW,
1. Don't believe everything you hear out of Nigeria. We have an overactive press.
2. The ones that do happen are not only confined to our shores, just that again, we have an overactive press.
3. You haven't answered my question.

Mrs, Chima:
Let me see here, if men who cheats or bleep around aren't attach to the women involved then WHY THE HELL ARE men stalking them AFTER ONE NIGHT STANDS OR BOOTYCALLS? huh huh
Because after the first time, naturally they think it will be easier to bed the women again than going off to look for another. Simple. THERE IS OFTEN NO EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT INVOLVED, unlike for women. He saw an easy opportunity and was too weak to resist. Women give it a lot more thought.
Not to justify any wrongdoing though, just saying.

RomanceRe: Women's/men's English by MarcAnthon(m): 6:57pm On Dec 20, 2011
Mrs, Chima:
That's why men cheat so much because they always want to hump everyday and anything.  Just hump, hump, and hump.

They say men do it to bring little ones in the world, WRONG!  They do it because they are natural dogs.
smiley smiley smiley. Don't even go there. Was just pulling y'alls legs with that comment. For one the whole sex thought every 7 seconds theory is inaccurate. According to more recent studies it's actually like 19 times a day as compared to 10 times daily for women http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504763_162-57332976-10391704/men-think-about-sex-every-7-seconds-what-study-says/ So there really isn't such significant difference.
Also women are catching up fast on the cheating thing. It's now around 20% for men and 15% for women. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1211104/Think-men-unfaithful-sex-A-study-shows-WOMEN-biggest-cheats--theyre-just-better-lying-it.html
Then again consider that when men cheat, there's often no emotional attachment to the women involved. It's just for the sex. But it's a different case for women. So pray tell, which is worse. Y'all are just better at concealing and lying about it

@OP, free her. Let her work things out with her guy, if that doesn't work she'll come back to you. As they say 'If you love something, let it go. If it comes back, then it's yours forever. If it doesn't, then it was never meant to be'. Cheers!

Err mm iyawo killz, who told you monks and nuns stay virgins their whole life? E be like say you no know wetin dey happen behind those walls sha.

@ Topic, why she dey announce am na?na lack of opportunity go make person stay virgin that long.
Nah, I beg to disagree. Some people are really principled on that issue, have met someone like that and I found I respected her more. Pretty as Nikki Laoye is I don't think she'd have had a paucity of admirers as a single girl. It's really commendable.
But I agree there was no point announcing it. Then again maybe she just wanted people to give it a thought (as we're doing now) and be a role model to some single girl somewhere.

Hes okay to divorce her. After all he wanted a virgin not a wife
Classic!
Goldieluks:
I can't stand all these overated virgin tales, not when the so called guy is not a virgin himself. Rubbish theif.
Well if the girl in question didn't also make that a condition to marry him, I don't see where he erred. It's a matter of preference.
It's easy to say they should go on afterall they are married already and he spent a lot in the wedding. I would say so myself, but then I know I wouldn't trust a word that girl says to me anymore, and it's going to be really difficult to make anything out of their marriage without trust. In the absence of trust so many things can go wrong. Again he might feel the need to take revenge on her and go all out to embrace infidelity. So at the end of the day divorce might just be an eventuality they'd be delaying.
Of course if he can deal with it the best option is to remain and work things out. It will require a lot of work though.
PoliticsRe: Have You Ever Given Or Accepted Bribe? by MarcAnthon(m): 3:54pm On Dec 19, 2011
Beaf:
There is no difference. If we stand up to the bribe extorters, no matter the pain (except life and limb are at risk), they weill no longer be able to demand routine bribes.
What we really have is an ecosystem of bribery and corruption; from the police check points to the passport office; from lecturers to invigilators. It is everywhere and our society is rightly labelled corrupt; I have long since learnt that what is normal and routine in Nigeria is absolutely shocking in almost every other country (including neighbouring Benin Republic).
I completely agree with Beaf on this one. It is not something that can be eradicated ASAP though. We have to deliberately and consciously work towards it. Let's begin to take a little delays here and there from the police, and not be in a hurry to 'sort' them. Make sure your papers are complete beforehand. I have been in those situations myself, and I know that if your papers are complete, sometimes they let you go, and some other times they ask you 'oya wetin you get for us nah?' at which point you can smile and say nothing. Even if you give them something at that point it will not be bribe, because it is out of your freewill. But often times we are too much in a hurry or are on the wrong side of the law, and we offer these bribes even before we are asked so we don't get delayed. I have been there also.
I also stayed a few years at home because I couldn't 'sort' to get into the university, and when I finally did I got one of my two Cs because I wouldn't 'sort' a lecturer. He couldn't fail me outrightly, there'd have been raised eyebrows in my department then, so he marked me down best as he could.

This clown is at it again.
Simple basic principle of resource management he cannot understand: You do not reward a manager that has squandered resources with more resources to squander. How hard is that?
RomanceRe: "What Should My Daughter Call Him?" by MarcAnthon(m): 8:27pm On Dec 14, 2011
So it's hypothetical, but people do get in such situations in real life. Know some kids like that myself. They call the guy Mr T (assuming his name is Tunde). That's both fun, respectful and informal at the same time. Hope that settles it.

@Hardunnii, nice to know there are still young lady virgins out there, although no one really makes that a criteria for marriage these days. Still, it's gratifying to know they still exist. Good for you! But understand too that people make mistakes. It doesn't necessarily mean they don't have moral codes by which they live. When the deed is done, you just have to pick yourself up again and LIVE. To that extent I think you were a bit too hard here.
She can call him whatever she likes, what you should be concerned abt is teaching your daughter moral principles which will be a diff task, since you dont have one urself, poor girl goodluck.
