Foreign AffairsDonald Trump In Scotland: 'brexit A Great Thing' by Marcelinho(op): 8:13pm On Jun 24, 2016
US presidential hopeful Donald Trump has said it is a "great thing" that the people of the UK have "taken back their country" in voting to leave the EU.
His comments came as he arrived at Trump Turnberry for the reopening of the refurbished Open venue golf resort.
Mr Trump added his name to the Ayrshire hotel and golf course after buying the resort for an undisclosed fee in 2014.
Comedian Simon Brodkin later disrupted Mr Trump's news conference by waving golf balls with a swastika on them.
The presumptive Republican nominee was also the subject of a small protest by those who accuse him of "racism and bigotry" during his bid for the presidency.
Dozens of people, with placards stating "No To Racism", gathered outside the resort before Mr Trump arrived.
Mr Trump was asked about the EU referendum result, which saw Leave beat Remain by 52% to 48%, shortly after he touched down at Turnberry in a helicopter.
'People are angry'
The US billionaire answered: said: "I think it's a great thing that's happened. It's an amazing vote, very historic.
"People are angry all over the world. They're angry over borders, they're angry over people coming into the country and taking over and nobody even knows who they are.
"They're angry about many, many things in the UK, the US and many other places. This will not be the last."
Mr Trump said UK divisions "will heal" as "it is a great place", adding: "I said this was going to happen and I think it is a great thing.
"Basically, they took back their country. That's a great thing.
"I think we're doing very well in the United States also, and it is essentially the same thing that is happening in the United States.
"I want to support my son who really represented me here in building this great great place (Turnberry)."
When asked his opinion on David Cameron announcing he is to step down as prime minister after the Leave vote, Mr Trump said: "Well, that's too bad."

Nairaland GeneralSenior Police Officers To Declare Assets - Acting IG by Marcelinho(op): 6:51am On Jun 24, 2016
The acting inspector-general of police,
Ibrahim Idris, has declared that all officers
from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of
Police (ASP) to inspector-general of police
will henceforth declare their assets.

According to Vanguard, Idris made the
statement on Thursday, June 23 in Abuja
when he paid a courtesy visit to the minister
of interior Abdulrahman Dambazau.

The police boss said the directive was in line
with Section 13 cap 15 Code of Conduct Act.
He said under his command, the integrity of
the Nigeria Police force will be raised to be
more accountable to the people and would
operate within the rule of law.

He said the presence of police officers
would be felt in all villages and streets
across the country.

On his part, the minister of Interior,
Dambazau urged the actin IG to focus on
three key issues of corruption, economy and
security for the success of this
administration.

He called on the new police boss to
collaborate with other security agencies to
address the issues of crimes and post
conflict resolution in the North-East, adding
that that the police need the support of
others.

The minister also urged the IG to make the
welfare of his officers a priority and assured
him of the support of the ministry to
discharge his mandate.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari
says he retained the outgoing Inspector
General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase
when he assumed office on May 29, 2015,
because of Arase’s dossier and his
intellectual capacity in the field of
operations.

Buhari who spoke at the public presentation
of a publication “Cascade of Change: A
Decade Of Liberal Thoughts” authored by
the Lagos state commissioner for
information, Steve Ayorinde, said a
combination of qualities possessed by Arase
convinced him to retain him till the end of
his his tenure, The Nation reports.

PoliticsHow FG Plans To Detain Saraki, Ekweremadu - NASS by Marcelinho(op): 6:40am On Jun 24, 2016
Saraki, Ekweremadu and two others have
been charged on two counts of forgery and
conspiracy to commit forgery by the federal
government.

Senate president, Bukola Saraki, and his
deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu could find
themselves in trouble if fillers coming from
the National Assembly are true.

The Senate president, his deputy and two
others who have been charged on two
counts of forgery and conspiracy to commit
forgery are due for arraignment on Monday,
June 27.

However, the duo could be in for a tough
time as a source in the National Assembly
has alleged that the federal ministry of
Justice plans to put pressure on the trial
judge, Justice Yusuf Halilu of the Abuja High
Court, to impose stringent conditions on the
accused persons.

“The plan is to ensure they are presented with
conditions which they cannot meet
immediately. The conditions will be such that
they will struggle with them for some days
before they could wriggle out of the court
dragnet, ” the source told This Day.

He said: “The case has political undertone and
the ministry will not allow them ride rough-
shod on it or enjoy a free ride. They will have
to struggle for some time before they can
benefit from any concession they may
eventually get from the courts.”

Meanwhile, the federal government has
promised Bukola Saraki, and Ike Ekweremadu
fair hearing when they face trial for alleged
forgery.

The government made this position known
through Abubakar Malami, the attorney-
general of the federation and justice minister
on Thursday June 23.

Vanguard reports that the minister insisted
that the Senate president and his deputy
have a case to answer but would be given
fair hearing.

In a statement he issued through his media
aide, Mr Salihu Othman Isah, Malami said it
was quite unfortunate that the Senate
misinterpreted the action of the government
to arraign the duo as a coup against the
legislature with a view to cause a leadership
change in the National Assembly.

Take time to read the report again and see the parameters used in sharing the money.

Again, we must re-orientate ourselves to the fact that there is much more to Nigeria than the oyel.

The importance of what the North contributes to our survival as a nation cannot be over-emphasized. Just by experiencing tomato ebola in the north in just one season, the whole of Nigeria has been suffering to get tomatoes at cheap/reasonable price. Can we imagine what will happen if all the farm produce that comes from there stop coming to the south? We will import? With which money and at what cost?

The earlier we realized that each region has its own relevance, the better for us as a nation to move forward.
huh

This list is a joke.

Gov Udom is struggling to pay salaries, a lot of workers are not paid their salaries and pensioners too are not paid.

The site for the Automobile company at Itu has been taken over by weeds, nothing is happening there. Those contracts you mentioned are just on paper, it has not been awarded yet!

Nothing is happening in Akwa Ibom apart from government propaganda.

Please remove Gov. Udom Emmanuel from that list.

Thanks smiley

SportsPolice Seal Off Nigeria Football Secretariat As Leadership Crisis Deepens by Marcelinho(op): 8:11pm On Apr 11, 2016
The football house has been closed down by
the security operatives following recurring
crisis after Friday's court ruling in Jos.

The Nigeria Police Force took over the
Nigerian Football Federation headquarter in
Abuja on Monday as the leadership crisis
took a new twist .

Goal learnt that security operatives sealed off
the nation's footballing secretariat barring
staff of the NFF from accessing the complex
which also houses the Federal Road Safety
Commission, FRSC.

This is the second time in space of two years
the police will be taking over the NFF
building.

A Federal High Court ruling last Friday in Jos
dismissed election that brought Amaju
Pinnick led board into power and ordered that
Chris Giwa to assume office immediately.

Giwa's faction announced the appointment of
a new acting General Secretary and heads of
departments alongside new heads of
standing committees.

While Pinnick's group claimed they have
appealed against the ruling and were granted
the stay of execution against their removal
from office.

The court however, announced May 30, 2016
for next hearing of the relisted suit between
Giwa's board, the NFF and sports minister.

Though some NFF staff were later allowed
into the secretariat premises on proper
identification with no official granted entry
aside the general secretary Sanusi
Mohammed.

What's wrong with SERAP ?

I am saying that because the full list is yet to be released

There will be more names

Rather than issue ultimatum, i suggest that SERAP hires private security and investigation experts especially Isrealis

let them keep tabs on the names that's been released and the people they have mentioned

don't let anyone escape from the country

by so doing they would have gathered enough evidence to convict those that's been indicted by #TheList

but their common sense won't tell them that.
OK u haf said it
