As a person with interest in military weapons and what not. I think Chinese planes are just there for show. The technology used is usually stolen - Look up on how they buy trade secrets from Israel rogue agents, pakistani ISCI etc. While it may look fierce, it basically cannot out-perform or even match the Western equivalent in air combat or dog fight.
True. By the time the Chinese can reverse engineer the technology it is usually obsolete. The Chinese are probably some 30+ years behind the US in stealth technology.

The question I want an answer to is: Why is NATO not bombing North Korea?
Cause that would most likely cause a Nuclear war in the Far East. America would not suffer directly from such a war but her allies would. Countries like Japan, South Korea e.t.c would be in the firing line.

What are you all arguing about?

Lagos State has not proposed an underground transport system of any kind. The people of Lagos State have not demanded an underground rail system.

What are you all arguing about?

Questions for you

a) What structures are illegal? I am not exactly sure what particular structures you are referring to here. I mean you would need to expound on that.

b) Where exactly do you get the idea that I take offense to demolishing of illegal structures??

c) Alternatives? I believe I was clear in my statements. I am not sure what you mean when you ask me of alternatives.

Please I suggest you go back, re-read the discussion carefully to get a better idea of what was discussed and rebuttals and where they apply.

why not say this

the minitry of works have built a seaport in the SE to promote trade in that branch of the country. that is better

and i believe this is done, isn't it
And since when have private banks been the same as public (Government owned) seaports? This is what you have to understand. Why should the CBN governor be promoting a specific type of banking geared towards only a part of the population?

After you've understood that question, read this quote again about how they do it in Britain. It should now make sense.

The FSA's policy towards Islamic banks, and indeed any new or innovative financial services company, can be summed up simply as "no obstacles, no special favours". We are keen to promote a level playing field between conventional and Islamic providers. One thing we are clear about is that we are a financial, not a religious, regulator.

You've mentioned Britain a few times. notice the difference between the British method (SECULAR) and Sanusi's method.
in a secular country like England, i believe they still practise Islamic banking, or am i wrong?

i know Christians are human as well and i love my Christian brothers and sisters

all the atrocities u mentioned above has nothing to do with banking, moreover they are the uneducated youths
- There are private banks that do this so called Islamic banking just as there are other types of banks.

- Yes those atrocities have nothing to do with banking but everything to do with perception.
I would like to start by saying in any advance or first world country of the world, there is religious tolerance and those countries accept both Islam and Christian laws

Now you would hear a Nigerian saying they should change the name the name of Islamic banking

i ask to what, that is the name britain, china and other first world countries are using so why is nigeria so differnet

why can't we tolerate each other like good people according to our religions,

the Christians say " love your neighbour as yourself" so why can't they love there muslim neighbour's idea of an Islamic bank if they view him as themselves

please my christain brothers, act according to your bibles and be tolerant
You have failed from the start. Most advanced countries have secular laws regardless of prevailing culture.

Christians are human too. They have had enough, simple as that. For example,

- Miss world contest. . .you know what followed.
- Danish cartoons. . .you know what followed.
- Presidential elections. . .you know what followed.

I guess some Christians are fed up of being tolerant. Can't say I blame them.

If you had read the link before spouting crap, you would have seen that the project was reported to have been completed, tested and awaiting commissioning. How does it feel to have made a massive fool of yourself all by yourself? Darn fella that takes skill.

During the inauguration of the state governor, Godswill Akpabio, for the 2nd term, he revealed that the city’s underground drainage system would be one of the best of such in Africa.

He said the drainage has been completed, is tested, and ready for commissioning.

ALL YOU FASHOLA APOLOGIST take a look at this project

"Underground Drainage Project for National Geographic By Anietie Ekong

One of the highlights of the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to Akwa Ibom State on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, would be the commissioning of the underground drainage project in Uyo. During his last visit to the state, the President had marvelled at the deployment of the “pipe jacking” technology which he described as the first in Africa, to curb the flooding in the state capital.

. . ."
You people make me laugh.

Heavy rainfall destroys property in Akwa Ibom
http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5720863-146/heavy_rainfall_destroys_property_in_akwa.csp

. . .Residents of Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom State, are still counting their losses owing to a five-hour rain that flooded streets, houses, and destroyed property on Wednesday in the city.

The flooding occured despite huge amounts committed by the Akwa Ibom state government for the construction of a drainage system in the state capital. . .
The definition of irony. Keep holding Lagos to those Western Standards and keep holding your states to those Somalia standards. It's all good.

I will rather patronize more of the 'Ibo made' that buying Wal - mart stuff that look more 'Ibo made' at the price of foreign made. If you think am lying ask someone in US to buy you a baby dress from Wal-mart to know what am talking about. Guys we should know better than calling in some failed businesses to come and enslave people in their own country.
Then don't shop at Walmart. Go shop at your preferred outlet. Don't work at Walmart. Go work for your preferred employer. It really is that simple.
