I remember with disgust how I used to take this one serious during the former administration thinking his analytical skill was a top notch.
He and the like of Passingshot will criticise almost every mistep/policies of GEJ. Today, they have lost their cognitive and analytical skills in the face of
wanton murder of the citizens,
loud silence and tacit support of the President,
Maina recall,
IDP food shortchange,
Abba Kyari MTN deal.
The list is endless
11trn borrowed within the space of 3 years with no visible acheivement as against 6trn borrowed by their predeccessor in 16 year etc
Obviously those criticism was born out of tribal and religious leaning. At least passingshot bowed out in shame which is a sign that he has a little intergrity left in him while this one couldnt put a leash to his emotions even while occupying a sensitive position here.

Oga it is na-egosi NOT n' egosi.

I think you both are right due to the presence of a hyphen in between the two words 'na' & 'egosi'.
That said, what I meant to point out which are generally seen in some online commenters is the presence of two 'udaume'(vowels ie. a & e) in linking verbs where one ought to be silent eg. 'na egosi' instead of 'na-egosi' as rightly put by Chimamanda or 'n'egosi' wherein the 'a' is eliminated and silent.

Thanks for the piece of advice.

happy weekend to u

Bros do not swallow every advice and suggestions you see hear hook, line and sinker. Otherwise you'll regret ever coming to know an unanimous forum such as this.

The guy advising you appears selfish and self-centered from his write up.
You, your spouse and your unborn children has a lot to gain by registering your marriage with the government.

1)Have thought of some applications possibly foreign related you may need to fill in the future that requires evidence of marriage between you and your spouse?
2) Have you thought of same for your spouse if she's the one applying for Such too for the benefit of the family?
3)how about your children, assuming such is required from them at any stage of their life.
4)in the event of death how can you be sure your family is safe if one relative as a result of the lacuna claims that your wife bewitched you (their brother) and took you away all these years without them knowing your whereabout.
5) if the Union is not consummated traditionally either the product of such union is viewed as bastards (would you love your children to carry such stigma?)

in conclusion, legal marriage is vital to family happiness because it provides a secure environment in which to raise children.

What that guy is talking about is obtainable in developed countries. Where a woman is awarded a certain share out of her husband's wealth in the event of divorce, whether they had kids or not. It's not applicable here. DON'T be deceived!

Lush100:

Sir,
while i appreciate your ability to discern the effect of voting PMB before he was even voted in,
please always give people the benefit of doubt, not every one will be as discerning as you.
In all honesty, the voting out of GEJ was based on the premises that he did not perform as people expected not that he was hated.
Most people (myself inclusive) had some doubt about voting in a northerner , however the general sentiment was that we need to try someone else.

so i appreciate your foresight,
but i think you should be more happy that you have someone who was a supporter of PMB has now realized that he might have been wrong.
that alone is enough.
you can not kill antiwailer for having a differing opinion about something that had not taken place,

my honest opinion

Thank you Lush. Am not sure I'll pass for a 'Sir' though but I graciously acknowledge that cool

In fairness to me bro, I never said/imply that I foresaw Buhari's failure prior to the election(many did though). What I'd constantly maintained is that his take off after swearing in (which I chronicled from the first 6 months of his administration) pointed to where this govt. was headed (the ditch). And true patriots along with those you/they may term 'election losers' raised their voices pointing out the danger of his actions/inactions.
I didnt mention GEJ in my earlier post, he did. And so your making reference to him (GEJ) being 'hated' or not is purely a figment of your imagination cos I didnt imply that neither was I holding brief for him. However, you dont make decisions about your life which may have a far reaching consequences based on 'sentiment' alone but hard facts, even though the generality of those making same are more of illiterate and sem-literate (which could excuse them from liability of the consequence of such decisions).

I dont have to be happy for him (Antiwailer) for changing his stance over this administration because I have watched him approach matters of gorvernance through tribal spectrum in this platform. I dare to guess that he had hoped much like his ilks here that this govt. would favor his tribe being that his tribe man is the second in command. That explains his penchant for defending, fighting and threatening anyone or group of persons that points out the ills of this administration which are audible to the hearing impaired and vissible to the vision impaired. Over the years, they (he & his ilks) have come to see that they are gaining nothing differently as a tribe from this administration and it is over, plus the many ill-advised policies of this govt. is getting at them. That is the reason for this new politically correct tone you see him suddenly adopt. So it is not a matter of one realizing that he was wrong (this he had been aware of all along but kept pretending that all is well) and withdrawing his support from PMB. NO!

Those that deserves such accolades you are expecting me to give him are the like of Doctokwus, BeremX etc that spoke out just so that the govt. they helped install succeeds. They truly love Buhari and this country by eskewing selfishness born out of tribalism and hate.

Get it clear. I never regretted voting out Jonathan and PDP allowing another person and party try.

I have never for one day wished them back.

Exactly my point!
To you educated illiterates, it is about Jonathan & PDP which genuine voices like ours cared less about by the way.
Sir, we are talking about helping the govt. you installed succeed through constructive criticism which if your ilks who regretably are more in number had done, it would have helped them sit up.

AntiWailer:

My wish right now is that Buhari goes back to Daura and allow another person try.

I dont belong to set of idiots who will twist facts to protect their Ego.

Now read my lips slowly : BUHARI IS A FAILURE. If only GEJ and his supporters admitted on time, we wont end up having BUHARI as a choice.

If you had done the above, probably you wouldnt have found yourself here. You are one of the notorious monikers I read their comments laced with stupidity and coloration of tribalism whenever dissenting views call out the govt. for it's ineptitude even before I signed in to NL. So go take many seats with your bag of regrets oga.

AntiWailer:

And on the rubbish economy biting hard on u , i av seen my monthly income grow into 7 digits net and me paying 6digits tax monthly during Buhari's era.

You will run illegal multiple shifts and do a lot of currency changing to move close.

Anything to make you feel good and assuage your regrets for the failure you helped made out of Buhari Sir. grin
You also know what? I am full of regrets right now too, and you know why? Quoting you at the first instance.
Gotta ignore you and your ilks as I'd always done. Just feel like calling you out after reading your jaundiced comments meant to blanket your failure of judgement over this administration's foreseeable failure. Perhaps you should take a cue from men of intergrity like Doctokwus, Berem and co who rooted for PMB prior to the election and even after, but were descerning to see that this administration is headed for the rock and started calling it out on time. Those are true patriots!

Good day!

I preached for us to give him chance to settle down when the wailers took over.

After 2 years, i will be decieving myself if i pretend that i dnt know that Buhari can not take us to our destination.

So back to ur answer. NO BE TODAY !

Story!
Your admittance of the failure of this administration after 2 years reveals how shallow you are because every man with cognitive skill will know where this govt. is headed 6 months after assumption of duty. Clowns like you (sorry I had to use vulgar on you) associated the losers of the election along with genuine voices trying to help this govt. to sit up before it is too late. Your like even adopted a disparaging moniker just so you drive home your ignominous ignorance and rob it on your perceived enemie(s) who rambles just because they lost election.

Unfortunately, 2 years after what those of us who were not acrimonous of the PMB's victory saw is just hitting you today cos you have suddenly found yourself a victim of his economic somersault. Oh well some us us adopted a plan B to survive once the result of his cluelessness comes to bite hard while you await your eldorado to come. You see the problem with most of you is selfishly reasoning through the eye of tribalism and not necessarily for the interest of every stakeholder of this Country.

Need I add that I was also disappointed when I realized that you are even a married man (which means you must protect the future of your children and other children born and yet to be born in this country). I'd always thought you are one of those kids here who runs up and down dividing the Country with their corrosive posts just so they protect the interest of their tribes that they love so much.

I can only say good morning this evening to you Sir.

You are a regular commenter here and must times I admire your written grammar but you are always caustic, uncut and bullying especially the female folks in-here. You can imagine my surprise reading where you berated that Kappish guy for just pointing out that the alligation by the Dorcas girl would do nothing but serve the interest of feminists (which I tend to agree with). Your reason surprisingly was the same thing you are guilty of almost on a daily basis here. Take this quoted post as a case study.

I stay in Abuja and I've tinkered with the thought of PM-ing you after taking a peep at your profile cos I love body building and most times I dont get to complete my fees worth at the gym centres either cos the Hotels and the instructor has issues that makes them leave unannounced or someone working as the gym instuctor lacks the motivating flare for me. Gbam!! You just hit da nail on da head! sad In the health sector in general within Nigeria, I doubt if there is a carefully laid down set of procedures, for arresting infectious diseases and epidemics. If such procedures do exist, they must have been filed away somewhere gathering dust, or locked up in a cabinet by some clueless idjiot who has thrown away the key.

Such procedures need to be cascaded down the line within the health system, and repeated regularly like fire drills, so that everyone knows what to do if such situations arise. The right tools and equipment also need to be made available at every step of the way, to carry out the functions that need to be done! angry

That is why I am saying this issue must NOT be swept under the carpet. sad It needs to go viral. It needs to be shared, retweeted, and repeated until it gets to those in authority, either at the executive level or to those in the green and red chamber. The Minister of Health must be summoned to answer some really tough questions, on why patients suspected to have Lassa fever or medical staff who attend to them, never get the right kind of care and treatment that could have prevented their condition from getting worse, or were even denied the prompt attention which could have prevented their death. In other countries, it is called an inquest.

An inquest needs to be done in Dr. Chinedum's case, and those who failed him and so many others like him, need to be severely sanctioned! undecided

I endorse your submission bro.

I figured you are a health worker. If you are not, you can still expand your knowledge of the health sector through the site (www.coursera.org)
You can do any programme you fancy free of charge by applying for Financial aid under enrollment. That is after you might have signed up with them. You can get a certificate even from John Hopkins University. And the duration of the programme depends on you(you can even finish a course within a week or two).

Namaste! cool

A harrowing experience told in a beautiful write up.

Thank God for sparing your life bro.

Sometimes two years ago out of curiosity I took a course on diseases and epidemics in coursera.com (actually got a certificate from Pittsburgh university at the conclusion of the program).

The gist is that I noticed a carefully lead down procedures for arresting infectious diseases in the hospital before it becomes an epidemic or even when there is pandemic. There are several bodies set up in the United States starting from what you may call local government Areas, to states, to federal level. All linked in chains of communication, all responsive team.

It is really disappointing reading this knowing that we have at least a semblance of those bodies in this country but either without knowing their job functions or lacking the work tools. It is that
bad.

PS: The Dr. might consider writing as past time

2) Turia Yar'adua (this woman shut down this country and laundered money to her satisfaction during her husband's treatment in Saudi), and

3) Aisha Buhari(in the waiting)

It takes no intelligence to know that this government are just persecuting this woman for obvious reason.
It is also an insult to the former President cos these women mentioned their husbands are no longer alive yet they were respected posthumously.
Where is the respect to the living former president then?

Lol. Don't you think things might have been bubbling privately underneath for both the public outburst and unfollowing to happen?

I do not know Kanu personally, but I know a couple of people who played football with him when he just broke into the Super Eagles in the 1990s.

They both speak highly of him as a model professional and very cool-headed guy. I do not think he will do anything rash.

As everything seems to be about Kanu's money that Amara wants to protect, what if she wants to take her cut now and go? What can Kanu do?
Remember he may not be getting as much money in as he used to while playing football. Most women nowadays have no time to waste
.

Realizing his place in the society, outburst and unfollowing is the most childish thing to do. He should man up and take his family issues as away as possible from the prying eyes of the media.

As for the emboldened, I'll say they are conjectures bro.

Maybe all wan not well already. Her public post might just be the final straw.

Before she can post such publicly, she might have been pestering her hubby privately to keep his brother at arms' length. May be he has not done that.

Women of nowadays want "me and my hubby only" stuff like oyinbo. But they forget that the growth of an average African of Kanu's era involved some collective family effort at some point. Unlike oyinbo.

Her BIL might not be a role model in behaviour regarding independence but a public outburst shames the entire Kanu family. It shows that women nowadays do not see themselves as marrying into a family. Just her hubby. That does not bold well for African values. Take it or leave it, when we had values family breakdowns were less. Elders (rich or poor) could resolve marital issues because we respected them. Now we respect only money.
Family breakdowns lead to social instability, crime/vices.

You hold your life Sir.
What am saying in a nutshell is that Kanu shouldnt jump into the fray before public view(like unfollowing the wife on instagram). It portends more harm than good for hom and his family. He should take whatever action he deems fit privately.

For you guys it is always about the lost election Sir forgetting that those you termed wailers were reeling out the anticedents of this man which was why they vehemently rejected him during the campaign which preceeded the so-called lost. Today, as if in a bid to prove them right he has surpassed all the negative expectations which funnily has turned you a wailer and seeking for an alternative.

The same way patriots sacked a failed Jonathan is the same way patriots will sack this disgraceful and failed regime of Buhari.

The senseless base support of either camp will remain, but the patriots will always swing the polls to ensure a sack for the incumbent, and a victory for the most compelling challenger.

You can believe anything if you believe that this government will allow a free and fair election just like her predessessor.

The wife did a stupid thing, as repulsive and shameless as his brother is, a wise woman should know a way to handle her business without making a fool of herself.
Real bosses don't act like kids, only a child makes family business public business. A woman that is a mother and wife has the extra responsibility to act mature even when everyone around her are acting crazy. A person who fights publicly with a mad man is also mad.

And I guess it is maturity on the part of Kanu to unfollow the wife or vise versa?
Both are acting childishly Kanu being indicted here should the media take this inroad to deal a blow on the marriage.

This woman is a hero that is deeply hated by those who are still hurt that a slowpoke they love was shown to be an ineffectual buffoon that had to be sacked.

As for the useless slowpoke that is now president, he will also be sent home to his village like his predecessor.

Oby and Aisha Yesufu are patriots who did not need to observe for long before they realised that even the Buhari regime was as equally useless and irresponsible like the Jonathan regime. They saw from the early days what some of us only began to see from mid last year.

As patriots, we will also sack this useless government and many more that fail to realise that we will not settle for failure.

That was when you and your fellow Ostrichs decided to pull out your head from the earth.

As a matter of fact, if you will be truthful to yourself you will recall that many people whom you all termed wailers have continously said it this man is a disaster waiting to happen before your BBOG group made a u-turn just recently and suddenly you are praising them for deciphering that at the late hour.
